Antique shop owner, Annie Taylor, is tired of her cluttered stockroom. With tables labeled for markdown, she is determined to purge her old inventory and sell off the vintage items she inherited and the trunks they came in. When she stumbles upon a crude homemade doll and a child’s jewelry box that strikes up a tune without being touched, she fears she just plummeted into a new paranormal predicament. To make matters worse, she has to manage a quirky ghost, a temperamental genie, and her boyfriend's ex with an unwanted surprise. As soon as Annie thinks she might have a clue to her mysterious objects, she gets tangled in another murder. Can Annie and her supernatural family help solve the case before the killer sets their sights on her and the enchanted items?
Annie and Tom are taking steps forward into their relationship when an old flame throws a wrench in the works. Furthermore, a spate of break-ins is plaguing the town, and Brandy, the genie turned moody teenager is struggling to fit in. Annie decides to clear out the storage room in the antique shop. Delving into the trunks left to her, she finds some disturbing items. She thinks the trunks will be safer in storage, until her unit becomes the site of the next break-in and a dead body is found. Stolen are a crudely made doll and a vodka bottle. What connection do they have to the mysterious doings in town? With Tom caught up with police and personal business, can Annie & her ghost friend Chester figure things out?
Book 2 in the Antiques and Drinks series is a nicely plotted page turning paranormal cozy. There’s enough backstory to catch up readers like me who missed book 1 without bogging down the story. Annie is likable and relatable and Chester is charming as the wisecracking ghost. Brandy’s struggles to fit in are true to life even with her being a genie. Also nice is the pacing of Tom & Annie’s relationship and that Tom is fully clued in to the paranormal aspects. I hope we see more of his ghost partner, Dawn. Plenty of twists and turns and shady characters. And with more cursed objects in the trunks, Annie is sure to have more adventures on the way.

Annie owns an antique store. She also has a resident Ghost she invited. Next think she knows there are two women arguing in front of her store then they enter. One is looking for a bowl that the other woman cracked. Her ghost let's her know it's one of a kind. Oh boy!! Her good day just got shot down! Then her resident genie, Brandy, throws a fit. She wants to be normal and be able to go out like a regular human. Annie had a date with Officer Tom Collins. He wants to talk away from curious ears. Annie meets her boyfriend's ex. The next day while cleaning out a storage area she finds a bottle of vodka and a voodoo doll. And it's off Amanda McCandless! Then there's a break in at a storage facility and the list goes on. Tom might have a son, at least that's what his ex is claiming, the voodoo doll goes missing. Do any of these situations have anything to do with a murder? Will Annie's life ever settle down? Too much is going on! A fast paced story with several mysteries wrapped together!! Fun time!!.

Second book in the series and I loved it as much if not more, than the first one! The characters I fell in love with in the first book are developed further and the ghosts, genies and other inhabitants are delightful.
I loved the combination of the adorable ghosts and the mystery, combined with a budding love story. It is a cozy read with lovable characters and well hidden plot with twists and turns that unfold at the end.
I hated to see the end of the book as it felt like a cliff-hanger, so looking forward to reading more, also to see where the relationship between Annie and Tom is going!
Voodoo and Vodka is book #2 in the Antiques and Drinks Mystery series by KC Bellinger.
This was the first I’ve read by KC Bellinger, but it won’t be the last. Annie Taylor has her hands full with her antique shop, resident ghost, “teenage” genie, a budding romance, and trunks of cursed items. And then there are a series of break-ins and then a murder. How is everything related?
This was an entertaining story with interesting characters. I was guessing up to the end about the guilty party. I read it in one sitting and look forward to catching up on the series.

There were times in this book where I just couldn’t read fast enough! Again, there was lots going on along with a murder and some issues with another paranormal being. Chester continued to be hilarious, entertaining everyone he knew that could see him. I absolutely loved the scene where he was at Tom’s office learning some police talk from the resident ghost there, lol. I like the ghost who lives at Tom’s office too—she comes in handy sometimes!
I never suspected whodunit at all, and everyone got a happy ending unless they were dead (excluding the existing ghosts lol) or the killer. Everything was wrapped up very nicely, and now I can’t wait for the next book!
Annie Taylor owns an Antique shop that needs reorganizing. She sends some things to her storage unit and, with break-ins occurring all over, someone got into her storage unit as well. The voodoo doll and empty vodka bottle, among the things she sent there, were gone. But why? What does that mean? Does it have something to do with all the rest of the chaos going on in town? With murders thrown into the mix, can Annie and her companions track down the killer before someone else dies?
This is the second book in the Antiques and Drinks mysteries series.
It was a lovely lighthearted cosy mystery, quirky with a touch of spookiness. I liked the narrator and the way she talked to the reader. I thought the author brought the characters to life easily, and it was easy to finish in one sitting.
Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free copy to review.

I love Chester lol. He makes these books so fun. I'm hoping they can find a way to help the new guy in this one. I don't want to give anything away. I'm curious to see if Annie will have another guest that will permanently be around. Definitely interesting times to come! Such a fun read.

Voodoo and Vodka written by KC Bellinger. This book was interesting read. It has lots of adventure, ghost and is very well written. The book will get you at the start and will keep you to the end of the book. I have this book and I recommend you read the book it’s very good.
This was fun! This is the third book in this series that I have read and I have really enjoyed all of them. They are relatively short reads so I can sit down and I don't feel guilty for starting it and doing nothing else until I finish it! I was kept guessing and entertained throughout. Really enjoyable time.
Can Annie and her supernatural family help solve the case before the killer sets their sights on her and the enchanted items? This is a confusing example of a mystery. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really like the lively story with Annie, her ghost and genie. The characters always act mischievously, so you can never be sure what will happen next. I can really recommend the series to anyone who loves cozy crime stories. You won't regret it.
The woman on the cover looks like her head is on the wrong way. Then I read the story, which was interesting, but could have used some plotting to straighten it out.
I like this book but I feel that Although funny, the murder mystery was just not the most intriguing. I liked the characters. I also found myself confused on the world building.
This book was as good as the first if not a bit better. The reader sees the relationship between Annie and Tom and the difficulties they run into. On to the next book. Recommend reading.
