I've had this book sitting on my shelf for at least a decade or two. I just kept putting it off. I was 13 when the Flyers won the Stanley Cup and it was such a fantastic memory, I didn't want it damaged. I have to say, I really liked this story about Dave Schultz. He tells of a poor childhood when he was just a shy kid. He continues with the transformation into the bully of a winning hockey team. I never would have imagined the way he felt... that he didn't want to be that bully ...if this is a truthful rendition of his life. At any rate, I have a newfound respect for him. My memories remain intact and this book is a keeper ... to remain on my shelf for a second reading some day. Let's go Flyers!!
