Mae

My life is not all roses and sunshine. An abusive deadbeat of a stepfather has made my life a living hell since I was eight. At fifteen, I started taking care of myself. My stepfather keeps my mom so strung out on drugs so that she won’t fight him on anything.

Everything I thought I knew about my family is in question after I discover secrets that rock me to my core.

The name I’ve gone by my entire life is not my real name. In fact, I’m not even supposed to be alive.

Just when I find out that my birth father has been tricked into thinking I’m dead, my stepfather decides I’m the perfect currency to pay off his drug dealer. I only have one choice.

Run.

While I know it’s a risk, my only chance at protection is finding my dad and the motorcycle club that has become his family.

Just when I think things might be going my way, fate seems to think my life isn’t hard enough. The curve ball I’m thrown is a huge one. One I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to overcome.

Timber

I never thought I’d find a woman I’d want to settle down with. Until she showed up. My Sunshine Goddess. Finding out what her “family” has put her through has me wanting to go hunting. But first, I have to help my woman get over a different hurdle.

Convincing her father that the information he’s been given about Mae is all a lie.

Even with her father’s stubbornness causing issues, Mae has discovered a found family and brothers from two different clubs.

Danger lurks around every corner. Her stepfather is hellbent on getting her back in his clutches, no matter what. Through hell or high water, I’ll fight for my woman, because there’s no way I’ll be able to survive without her. My Sunshine Goddess.

This book is intended for a mature audience aged 18+. It contains foul language, violence (including torture and murder), adult situations, kidnapping, human trafficking, sexual assault, rape (does not go into detail), and grooming.

There is no cheating and there is a HEA. Each book can be read as a standalone, but it is best read in order as the story builds on the members and their women/partners in the Steel Archangel’s MC.

Ugh! Female character is all things to everybody.

I appreciate how difficult it must be to create a story and see it through to the end, but I felt that this author uses a formula changing only the main characters. It is so like a carbon copy of the first in the series. The main female in trouble, repeatedly chased, kidnapped and hurt; ending up with her having no qualms in hurting/torturing the bad guys.

In this story I really did not like the character she was written as. I read about a down trodden, half starved girl who managed to escape her circumstances and ending up at the MC. Taken in unreservedly, everybody's darling who refuses to swear,, she turns into someone unrecognizable from the beginning. How can someone supposedly be a shy and caring individual then a couple of days later turn into this woman who is unafraid to discipline the usual ' bunny' who is the bad guy. Not only that but she cooks well, can give advice and revels in the 'interrogation' aspects after several unfortunate occurrences which happen to her. She is all things to everybody.
I felt as though the main male character, Timber, became a 'we'd secondary person who was only there to provide the usual intimate parts of the story.

I have read the first two books now and waded through them like treacle as I pride myself on never giving up on any story, but if the author's future writing is just as formulaic I know I will give them a miss.

I'm not one for darker books, but I gotta say, I absolutely love R. Knight's version of it! Timber is book 2 in the series and follows the story of Mae, a young woman with a rough past, and Timber, one of the Steel Archangel's members. The story is soooo good and you get all the details, action and revelations. You won't want for anything and one of the best thing is how thick that book is! So many pages that will transport you into the book's universe. It would make an awesome movie! Can't wait for book 3!!

Life is never sunshine and rainbows and our past always finds us.
The story of Liam & Mae or Timber & Sunshine to the rest of us.... Leads us down a path of love, heart ache, learning to become who we are meant to be and the feeling of finally being accepted for who we are no matter our scars, new or old, seen or unseen.

The characters growth, the continued world building and the way real life is put into this story is amazing. If you like MC worlds, come join the crew. I can't wait for Patch's story!

Mae's life hasn't been all roses and sunshine. Her stepfather is useless, more of a deadbeat than anything, he's made her life a living hell since she was eight. Her stepfather keeps Mae's mother so strung out on drugs so that she won't fight him on anything that he does. When Mae turns fifteen she starts taking care of herself.

Everything that Mae thought she knew about her family is suddenly in question after she discovers secrets that rocks her to her very core.

The very name that she's gone by her entire life is not even her real name. In fact, if she's understanding what she's found, then she's not even supposed to be alive.

And now, Mae finds out that her birth father has been tricked into believing that she is dead, and because she doesn't have her birth father to protect her, her mother is so strung out and doesn't know what's going on around her, Mae's stepfather decides that she's the perfect currency to pay off all his debt to his drug dealer. And Mae knows that she only has only one choice left.

She has to RUN and she has to run now and run far far away.

Mae knows that it's risky, but she knows that the only chance at protection she has is to find her father and the motorcycle club that has become his family.

And just when Mae thinks that things might just finally be going her way, fate appears to think that her life isn't hard enough. And this curve ball Mae gets thrown is massive. And this is one curve ball that she's not sure she'll ever be able to overcome.

Timber never thought that he wanted to settle down with. That is until she showed up. His Sunshine Goddess. And then he finds out what her “family” has put her through, and that has him wanting to head out and go hunting. But first, he has to help his woman get over a different hurdle.

Timber does his best to try and convince her father that the information he's been getting from Mae's stepfather is nothing but lies.

But her father is stubborn and it's causing issues, but Mae has discovered that she has found a family and on top of that she now has brothers not from one club but two.

Now danger is lurking around every corner. Mae's stepfather is hellbent on getting his hands back on Mae, no matter what it take. Through hell or high water, Timber is going to fight for his woman, there is absolutely no way that he's going to be able to survive without her. His Sunshine Goddess.

There is no cheating and there is a HEA. Each book can be read as a standalone, but it is best read in order as the story builds on the members and their women/partners in the Steel Archangel’s MC.

Timber is the 2nd book in the Steel Archangel's MC Series by R. Knight. I fell in love with R. Knight when I read the first book in this series Thor and the Dragon. I have to tell you I thought I loved Dragon but Timber is really outshining Timber with the exception of Reaper and I can't wait for his book.

The truth of Mae's life is is that it has been hard. Her stepfather is abusive and just makes her life a living h*ll since she was eight. Her mother does nothing to protect her as her stepfather keeps her so strung out on drugs she doesn't know up from down and she can't fight back. When Mae turns fifteen she is finally able to start taking care of herself.

Mae thought she knew everything about her family. But, everything is suddenly in question when she discovers deeply hidden secrets that rock Mae to her very core. Mae learns that Mae isn't even her real name. In fact, if she is reading everything correctly and understanding is all right, then she's not supposed to be alive and everyone who knew her as a baby know thinks that she's dead.

Now Mae learns that her birth father has been lied into believing that Mae is dead, and because she doesn't have her birth father to protect her, and her mother is so strung out she doesn't know what's going on around her, Mae's stepfather decides that Mae is a great way to pay off his drug deal and get rid of the debt that he owes him. And Mae knows that now she has only one choice left.

Mae needs to get out of that house, and she needs to RUN fast and far.

Mae knows that its a risk, that she's taking a chance, but her only chance at protection is to find her father and the motorcycle club that has become his family.

But, just when Mae thinks that fate might finally be going her way, fate laughs and appears to think that Mae's life isn't actually hard enough. And the curve ball she's thrown is one that is so massive that Mae's not sure she'll ever be able to overcome it.

Timber thought he'd be on his own for the rest of his life, he never thought he'd settle down. Then Mae walked into his life, Timber's Sunshine Goddess. And then Mae tells her what her “family” has put her through what her stepfather has done to her, and that has him wanting to head out and go hunting. But first, Timber needs to help this woman who has stolen his heart over a different hurdle.

Timber goes to Mae's father and does everything he can to try and convince him that the information he's been getting from Mae's stepfather is nothing but lies. But Mae's father is stubborn and it's causing issues, but Timber refuses to give up. In the meantime Mae has discovered that she has discovered she's found a family and not only that she has brother's from 2 separate clubs.

Mae knows that danger is constantly surrounding her. Mae's stepfather is doing everything in his power to get his hands back on Mae and get her back under his roof. Through hell or high water, Timber is going to fight for his woman, there's absolutely no way in heaven or h*ll that he's ever going to be able to survive without Mae now. His Sunshine Goddess.

This is such an amazing story and I just love Timber and Mae together. I so wanted to jump into this story myself and kick Smokes butt, and yet at the same time I could see where he was coming from even though I was so angry with him. And then there was Drae, I cried so hard for that man, I mean that just broke my heart.

I want so much more of Timber and Mae, I loved all the extras because I mean babies.

This is such a great book and I can't recommend it enough. While they are standalone books, I can't help but suggest you read the books in order, it's just a much more enjoyable reading experience.

Wow one of the longest books this year. I give it 5 stars for the length. But the female characters going fighting so many bunnies is crazy and the bunnies denial is way over over board.
What I don't understand is the food situation.. One minute its made to sound then the next should would get meals.at school and dinner.. Made microwave food. I personally eat once a day with running all day long and the exaggeration of the situation is a little far fetched.
Mae seemed to set in her roll of an abused situation to the character she become.
I won't nit pik more but in all I did love the book especially the female friendship every girl needs that.

Good book

It is a good book, but i wish that the author would stop trying to overload the book. It is like chef that throw to many thing at the recipe to "make it better". Relax, add some original ideas, do some research. There is a lot of repeated ideas. She does not need to, her writing is good. And please not all woman are virgins, and get pregnant right away. Oh and all the injuries she got. She would have lost the baby's. I will read the next book and see if she repeating the story line from the first 2 books. If she does it would be ashamed, because she is a good writer.

Mae Timber fall

After an abusive upbringing Mea finds she has been lied to her whole life, after escaping the abusive house, she makes her way to the MC location of her bio dad’s last known location. Her reception was not what she expected but she finds Timber there along with many hurdles she finds her place within the Club. This is a dark abusive storyline, with many ups and downs, crying one minute, laughing the next, with a bit of anger and finally happy after the revenge. R. Knight keeps the page turning and just enough spice to get through all the darkness.

brilliant

I loved the first book and this book didn’t disappoint. Timber and Mea were great together. I’ll be honest I wanted to smack a couple of members around the head (you will understand when you read this book). There was so much going on that it kept my interest all the way through. I absolutely love all the side characters too and I’m hoping we see more from reaper and his chapter too. I can’t wait to see what comes next for the Steel Archangels.

Did she do anything but cry? Seriously? I don’t think there was a chapter where she didn’t cry and when she’s about to leave Timber because he’s a blind idiot, her body betraying syndrome kicks in like every other fucking doormat on the planet.

Nearly 600 pages of this shit just for her to be a spineless twit.

Put that in your synopsis so people who like reading about heroines with backbones know not to waste their time on a girl who cries, cries and cries again.

This is the easiest review I ever made.
Reading it you will fall so its just time to scream Timber.
The Steel Archangel's MC getting better and better the characters growing more and more familiar and you feel like you are family as well.
Well done and now looking forward to the next one but read triggers and know this is a "clunker" and well worth your time.
Let me tell you 5 stars not enough.

enjoy this one

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Much gets resolved from a romantic perspective and the ongoing battle with the deviants after Mae. It’s full of action, love and MC camaraderie. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger except there is still someone on the MC hit list. Looking forward to the next one in this series.

Insta Love and Series Continuation…. Yes Please

Holy cannoli and super duper hotness! This book was so dang good. I love the series and I’m so excited to see where the next book goes. I love the found family aspect as well as the suspense from Mae’s struggles. And Timber… oh my goodness I love his patience and the way he loves Mae.

Rollercoaster

This storyline was always moving, which over rode the insta love for me. Insta love is sometimes off-putting, but because of the intense read, I think it had to be this way. The characters are dynamic and well developed, continually growing as the series develops. There are some triggers, so be aware of that. Continuing on with the series

much better than book 1

Still very violent during tortures but the story is much better than book 1. Characters are good and you get insight into both chapters. Some sentences seem to be popped in that make no sense but overall editing is good.

timber and Mae

The ordeal she had to go through because of her mother’s lies. She found love and family when she found the truth of her origin. The action in this book is great and the villains deserved what they got. Heed the content warning.

Way over stuffed

Nice storyline but there was absolutely no need to over stuff the book. Especially with so much repeated information. Also, it would have been nice if the author didn't overlook some basic common sense.

Holy cow!! This was just as good as the first one!! Mae was so scared and didn't know what to do, especially when Smoke did what he did. Timber knew as soon as he saw Mae she was his for life and stayed by her side through thick and thin!!
