The empire’s assault on the Sol System is imminent, but scouting reports reveal the Mordorians have nine of their hard-to-kill dreadnaughts protecting the system.
It took everything the imperials had to defeat three of the powerful ships in the Pegasus System, but Marshal King, aka Crown Prince Henry, has finally gathered a sufficient force to make the attempt.
Events back home have forced his hand, as what Hazard feared most has happened—they’ve lost control of the Black Dragon Virus. Someone stole a sample from the Marxist planet of Lenin, and now it’s ravaging the planet Delhi.
After a hurried meeting with the Empress, Hazard rushes back to the front with a new battle plan, for they can’t wait any longer—billions will die if he doesn’t find a sample of the original virus.
Ready or not, the Imperial Fleet heads for a showdown in the Sol System.
It’s time to find out if Hazard can become the Prince Conqueror.
So far, this has been a very well written, detail strong, series. I say so far, as I fully expect (little note from author) that at least two more books are in work. Very good news indeed!
Mr Hughes has written a gem of a story, along with a larger than life War Leader! I am very impressed with the details, characters, and of course the storyline!
Mr Hughes, I thank you for all 7 very fine books so far.
I'm very admiring of Mr. Hughes, who appears to make an excellent living as a self-published author. His previous six books in this series moved right along, as humanities' scattered descendants fought to reestablish and reunite under the banner of an ancient royal house. This book, though, the 7th in the series, is a pretty lackluster read, in which the good guys are making excruciatingly detailed preparations to get underway in book 8. Nothing much happens. I have faith the author will get back on course in book 8 as Earth is wrested from its invaders.
....... book I just have one problem. And the more I've read of military sci-fi. The more I've noticed it. Most authors have the same problem. When it comes to space battles. They think two demenionally (sp). And not three dementionally. Like a submarine commander would. Because water is the closest thing we have to space. And even NASA uses it to train their astronauts.
So go ahead and take a chance. I don't think you will be disappointed.....
Hazard, aka Prince Henry, is leading the effort to find a counter to the Dragon Virus which is poised to infect the Empire. Obstacles and aliens stand in the way. While pursuing Empire goals, he must also protect Earth colonies not destroyed and others subjugated by the aliens. I like the action, humor, mystery, and a touch of romance. I look forward to the next book.
As expected the nasty Virus escapes the communist planet and there is now a race against time to avoid a complete catastrophe. Which means that the prince has to rush to Earth and find the possibility of an antidote ASAP. Space battles, land battles, suspense, the book has a it all.
This whole series has been a fantastic read. The character development, the technology the story line all connects well together. I eagerly look forward to the next book in the series.
Hazard King again is an amazing commander. Inventive and vicious. We are going to save the kingdom and all the humans. The action is great and Hazard is my favorite commander.
Earth is within striking distance, but the enemy holds the gates and, as always humanity's greed is its worse enemy...looking forward to the next chapters and see how we deal with all the problems still facing us
Mr Hughes is certainly good at his art. I really enjoyed this book and the series in general. Question is, are we getting more?Time will tell I reckon. Would make a great "Opera".
Hazard does it again as things look bleak about reaching earth to find the original strain of the Black Dragon virus threatening to devastate the Empire Hazard sets out for Earth. Great read covet to cover
Great book, like the rest of the series it was a fun read. The story will pull you in , it is well written and the story flows well. Had plenty of action and a few twists. I look forward to the next book.
Hazard takes Earth back after destroying a full third of the Lizards ships. A lot of battles in this book. All well written. They also recover the Dragon source virus so now it is a race to develop the vaccine. I need the next book.
This book continues where the previous book ended. It's a great read action, mysterious, and thought provoking. The characters continue to grow and they make mistakes. Overall if got this far into the series must read
With a second outbreak in the Empire's area of influence the Queen visits her son at the first way station outside the Empire. Now the rush to Earth is on.
