I rejected my Monster mates. Now they’ll make me pay for it.
Monsters ate my parents, leaving me orphaned and homeless. I found a new home and a mostly peaceful life...until three powerful Monsters invade, claiming I’m their mate.
They capture me. Pulling me into their twisted game. The rules? Simple. Escape them before their game is done or end up on the monster’s menu.
The Demon God calls out to me, knowing secrets from my past that no one should know. He offers me freedom and better yet, revenge. But what’s the catch? He wants me, both body and soul.
This Demon is cunning, ruthless and the most beautiful male I’ve ever seen. But I will not be owned by him or any man-deal be damned. His wicked touch promises pleasure like I’ve never known. His dark mystery temps me but can I trust him? If the rumors are true, this demon is far from a savior. He may be the worst monster of them all…
This is an enemies to lovers, steamy, forced proximity romance with dangerous and possessive antiheroes and a strong willed heroine.
Hey there! I'm a Jamaican author with a passion for all things paranormal romance. I write Reverse harem romances with irresistible plot twists that will keep you up way past your bed time.
This book is a an enemies to lovers shifter RH. The FMC is extremely strong willed and takes not sh!t from anyone not even the Alphas in her life. Dam I just wasn’t able to put this book down from the moment I picked it up. Liviennes parents were killed by monsters and she was left orphaned and homeless. Another packs Alpha took her in, and her life was relatively peaceful. Until three men turn up claiming she is their mate. But Livy rejects them when she finds out they are monsters. After this they end up capturing her while she is walking home from the party. The guys decided to play a twisted game with her. Giving her a chance to escape them or end up being their meal. A lot happens between that point and the end of the book even the Demon god showing up in Livy’s dreams and knowing things no one else should. There is just so much that I would be here for days talking about it. I definitely didn’t see that coming at the end of the book. I can’t wait till the next one is here.
Dark Rejection was a page turning, fun read. Tropes of this shifter romance include enemies to lovers and RH. The story is fast paced and engaging and the FMC Livy is strong-willed and easy to connect with. The strong willed men in this story prove time and time again to be no match for Livy as she navigates her changing situation and battles with her past. I definitely recommend this book to fans of shifter romances and RH/enemy to lover tropes.
This is my first time reading Taylor Spratt but this author is wonderful. Ms Spratt’s writing style is clear and her prose paints amazing imagery. I recommend her to romance and fantasy readers. I look forward to my next read from Taylor Spratt and anticipate the next novel in this series.
It seemed like everyone had an ulterior motive in this book except Livy (FMC). So when Livy is left orphaned after her parents death she's taken in by a pack but her Alpha wants to marry her off in an alliance with another pack. Add to that complications of mates and a Demon God. All of which leave Livy with a problem of who to trust of not? and who is out for themselves? It was definitely a twistingly great start to this series and I can't wait for book 2 now.
I was a bit conflicted about Dark Rejection. This book is a little weird but weird doesn't bother me, weird can be good. In this matter it's not good or bad, just is. I did not like the main characters although Chasten is growing on me.
There was a little confusion on my end at times and then there were the moments when some of the characters' actions didn't make any sense. However, the world-building was good. The idea of all supernaturals and humans in one world then adds in the issues of a demon king taking over the world, demigods who are monsters (or are they?), different packs and add in a little mystery and an academy setting and the scales balance out.
So you see, conflicted. Since I can't give half-stars I rounded up because it was entertaining and I am genuinely curious about the rest of this story. Plus I want some answers to the questions that are burning me up after that exciting ending.
This book was just absolutely amazing. The rollercoaster that my heart and emotions were going through. I was so torn on how to feel about everything but it was such a good book. But let me just say that the ending of the book had my heart in a vice grip and had me wanting to rage. I absolutely cannot wait for the 2nd book to come out so I can completely devour it.
The guys except the nice one sucked, yeah the fmc judged too quickly but they barged in, then kidnapped her, & then made her think that they were gonna eat her. I found Blaine disgusting, the way he left her half naked & then when he was like I wanted to sleep with you 🥺 ugh gag 🤢, he's giving incel. Maybe the demon is a better choice, I doubt that that'll grovel anything either. If that cliffhanger is true & they did that & knew the pain she felt, all of them are disgusting. I don't see any redemption for Blaine tbh

I got to 40% of this book and I just couldn’t, the writing was so amateur, the characters were childish, this felt like I was reading a teenagers diary over a book. I tried, but I just deal with the inconsistencies to the plot, characters acting one way then suddenly another, it didn’t make sense and I couldn’t figure of the age of these characters, demons that are 100’s of years old but act like petulant school children. Sorry not for me
Taylor Spratt has once again pulled me into her world and made me never want to leave! This RH story starts with Livy, a she-wolf who is trapped in a life that is isolated and unfulfilled. Livys' future looks very bleak, and the freedom she so desperately wishes for seems completely out of reach. However, Livy suddenly finds herself faced with 3 too hot to handle Alphas, which come into her life at just the right time. Though Livy does not see it that way due to preconceived prejudices against their kind, as well as a bloody history for Livy. She is not impressed and goes between fury and fear when confronted by them.
I won't give too much more away about Livys story as it is one you need to experience for yourself. I will say that I love all of the characters so far (mmmm Blakes pulled me in even when he is being...well, you know), and I'm excited to see them grow as the story continues. On that note, there is a cliffhanger, and it's a good one! It definitely leaves you yearning for more. I, for one, cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment! Taylor Spratt, the world's and words you weave have again proven why you are one of my favorite authors!
Oh my goodness! This is everything I love in a paranormal romance. I usually cannot stand rejected mate stories but this one is fantastic! I love love, love how much drama there is between the MCs and goodness gracious am I so excited to see how book 2 goes. The only thing I’m sad about is that I don’t immediately have booked two in my hands because I do not want the story to end. The CLIFFHANGER HAS MY STOMACH IN KNOTS! My heart absolutely breaks for Livy but this poor girl goes through so much! I was so excited about the MMC’s… But Lord Almighty, do they have some explaining to do… And lots and lots of groveling preferably.
Dark Rejection is the first book in the Rejected Monster Mates Series. It is a why choose, paranormal, enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance with betrayal, emotion, a strong FMC, possessive antiheroes, and monsters galore.
I was thoroughly entertained by this book and had a seriously hard time putting it down. The cliffhanger definitely had me begging for more. The characters are terrific, I couldn’t get enough of them. I loved the relationships between Livy and her monsters and how they develop.
The writing, flow, and pace of the story are perfect. The storyline, storytelling, character development, relationship development, and world building are all amazing. I would absolutely recommend this book and cannot wait for more.
Taylor gives us an awesome beginning to the new Rejected Monster Mates series! Livy's story begins with the slaughter of her parents when she was a child, leaving her hating all monsters. Skip ahead to her being used to solidify a treaty between the pack who took her in and another brutal pack. At the engagement party, three monsters appear and claim her as their mate, but she rejects them. This leads to a wild rollercoaster ride of events and emotions on the way to a brutal cliffhanger. Dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend it! Don't miss out on this book!!
Livy has to flee from a familiar life of loneliness to avoid a marriage full of horror. When her escape doesn’t go to plan, she ends up in a new place full of people telling her that everything she knows is a lie. Can she find a place for herself in this new setting? Can she trust the people that claim to care about her? Surrounded by mysteries and intrigue, Livy needs to keep her wits about her, despite the men looking her way.
Enimies to lovers, RH, shifters, and monsters This story grabbed my attention from the beginning! Filled with action and suspense, a bit of mystery, danger, mixed feelings, some spice and more!
Livy was a great FMC. She is smart and stands up for herself.
I think the author did an excellent job pulling us into the story. There is still so much unknown and we are left wanting more!!
This book had me riveted from page one! Our FMC, Livy is an interesting character whom you love but simultaneously want smack some sense into occasionally. The 3 "monsters" who claim her, bring an interesting twist and dynamic to this world. You are left guessing at the hints that are scattered all over and you are definitely left wondering if all is not as it seems. With twists, turns and betrayals, you are captivated by this story and that cliffy just makes you want to scream...what happens next!!!! 10/10 recommend
I always enjoy diving into a new series and this is no exception. Our FMC Livy is in a world of shifters, mages, demigods, and dragons and was left orphaned after her parents were killed. She lives a pretty "normal" life until 3 men flip her world upside down. This new book was an intro into a great new world with a strong plot that kept me interested the whole book. Looking forward to seeing how things unfold with Livy and her men.
Brilliant read. Life was generally peaceful these days for Livy after she was orphaned and taken in by another pack but secrets are revealed and her new pack are not what they seem, but her old pack weren't either and adding demons and mates into the mix doesn't make it any better brilliant read. cannot wait for the next.
An exciting story of a tormented woman who doesn’t know who to trust. Or even how to trust. Throw in three alpha males who don’t know how to take rejection gracefully and you’ve got an explosive relationship full of sexual tension and confused emotions. I’m looking forward to seeing how these characters develop and how they might be able to recover from that clifffy at the end!!!
Totally loved this book. I’m new to this author but I will definitely be checking out her other books. A shifter series that has some unique twists with demons and demigods. Livy is the main character. From the beginning to the end we get to see this female start to really be who she wants to be and not what is expected of her. She is beyond feisty and will make sure to put you in your place. The males in the story definitely will learn the hard way about her. The tension level is skyrocketing. Can’t wait for book two to come out.
I could not put this book down! Livey is such a complex character. She has been through so much, and now she is stuff in a pack who see her as a bargaining tool. Then what was supposed to be her engagement party in walked three men, who are her mates but also soo much more than that. Livey rejects their mate bond. There is soo much action and betrayal and secrets. I am looking forward to the next book.
"Wow, this story was like being trapped in a Scape 6 all are enemies lol. The plot was catchy, dark and mysterious so who wouldn't love that in an enemies to lovers trope, plus if you add the multiple mates to the equation you have a disaster waiting to happen in the most delightful way. Also, can we please mention the cover?! It was beautiful and well, just to tally make sense, you'll see it."
Monsters shifters demigods and demons, what’s not to love?
This is a reverse harem fated mates enemies to lovers story that is fast paced and very well written. I devoured the book in one setting and cannot wait for the next installment.
The book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. Questions abound, will Livy Payton Chasten and Blake finally be together or will the demon god win in the end?
This book is amazing. It's unlike any shifter or rejected mate book I've ever read. It's fast paced and full of intrigue, I literally couldn't put it down. I'm eager for book two to see how Malek plays a role in the story and what Livy's mates think.
This was my first Taylor Spratt book and I loved every moment!! I found this story had humor at all the best moments. It also had its deep heartfelt moments that brought just enough emotion to the story. I was very intrigued by the pack politics and I was LIVING for the romance. I CANNOT wait for book two!
I felt like it kind of dragged in the middle and there was a lot that could be skipped. But it was still a decent read overall. Looking forward to the second book.
Wow this book is amazing, I was looking forward to reading this and it did not disappoint. I read this book in one day as it’s the type of book you can’t put down.
This book is beautifully written, there are characters you love and some you may not.
I love that it had Demigods, mages and shifter books. Definitely would recommend you read this book.
This was the book I was most excited to read for April and it did not disappoint.
Welcome to a world of shifters, mages, demigods and humans as they are all independently preparing to battle the Demon God.
Livy a shifter orphaned from a young age in horrific circumstances and then adopted into a shifter pack due to an alpha scenting her strong blood line.
Promised into marriage she did not want and then being kidnapped by her fated mates and all through this the demon god calls to her wanting to own her heart and soul.
This is an enemies to lovers, steamy, forced proximity romance with dangerous and possessive antiheroes and a strong willed heroine.
I loved this book and read it in one sitting it is extremely well written and now wait for the second book.
This book was just… wow. Not only is the FMC a bad ass for sticking up for herself, the males totally dig it! I couldn’t put it down. So many jaw dropping moment where I was like “that did not just happen?” Can’t wait for book number two to come out! You out done yourself Taylor 😊
Its been a while since I've read a pnr so I've looked forward to reading this!
We're thrown in to the tale straight away. Livienne or "Livy" is an orphaned wolf who was taken in by Alpha Prometheus & therefore his pack when she was young, & basically now, in her twenties she is about to be sold by the alpha to another for benefits to him. Alpha Brock has a terrible reputation so Livy plans to run away... Which are thwarted.
The farewell dinner is disturbed by 3 handsome, built men claiming to be livys mates. This all looks great until a mage throws a potion on then and reveals them to be what is just known as the "monsters". These are demi god - wolves that are half wolf and half human and have a viscous reputation for eating wolf shifters. And monsters ate livys parents. Rejecting them, they flee the pack & the night has now been ruined, & leaving livy with another chance of escape....
She's escorted home after no longer having the alphas trust, but she still manages to escape them & begins to flee into the forest. Until halted by the 3 monsters. The betas chasing her quickly turn tail, but the monsters keep hold of livy & knock her out & take her with them to their home. Her plan is to trick them into believing that she's settled into the pack, when in fact, she's going to plan to kill the three & escape from there AND run from the pack she grew up in & where she was being sold to.
But like all plans... Its sadly filled with potholes during her attempt to exit. So many ups & downs, Twists & turns. Her mates all fight their feelings after being rejected, & even Livy does. And just when you think she's finally made a decision.... A huge curveball comes & she makes a fast choice which cannot be undone... And we're left waiting to see what happens in book two!!!! Argh!!!! 🫣🫣😂😂

I actually loved the description of this book. It kind of reminded me of another rejected mates book but with more monsters/demons. I was expecting rejection and a big bad savior and I don’t know if that’s what we got.
The FMC is found after dramatically, watching her parents being unalived, and the pack that she’s brought into is not that nice, especially the alpha. So she’s in this horrible situation and is almost sent to another horrible situation until her three mates show up. She rejects them but they take her anyway and they are not what the reader or the FMC expects. I think the author tried to paint them as good guys who she needed to get to know but I didn’t like them at all. Maybe we needed to get to know them more but they all seemed to mold together.
Anyway, we are then, somehow, thrown into an academy romance too, which I definitely did not see coming. Plus, on the side is a big bad who I don’t really know what to do with. I feel like I got into the story in the beginning, got lost during a good chunk in the middle and then the ending/cliffhanger was fairly interesting. I did enjoy the world building and would have liked to learn more. The world was like our modern world, but other factions are living side-by-side with a common enemy. I think there’s a lot of potential but there was a lot happening. I’m also not really a fan of the MMCs, I still can’t figure out if we’re supposed to like them or not. I think we are, but we are going to need much more before anyone can give them a chance.
This is not my favorite by this author. I think there’s a lot of potential and I’m hoping the next book will make things clearer.
