Deuce was a great, yet very graphic, read regarding the Devil Dogs' attempts to rescue women involved in a baby farming scandal and get it closed down at the same time.

Juliana, who was heavily pregnant with another couple's surrogate baby, was taken prisoner by a group of criminals who were trafficking babies and infants. Unfortunately, the couple for whom she was pregnant has been murdered, and now she's alone and a prisoner until the Devil Dogs MC rescues her, with Deuce taking an instant liking to Juliana and deeming himself her protector.

Although there was a clear attraction between the two main characters, I appreciated the gentle approach the author took regarding their interactions together. They didn't just forget everything that Juliana had been through and jump into a hot and passionate affair; they spent time together bonding and building up a friendship. There were tentative and gentle moments, such as Deuce asking if he could touch Juliana's baby bump, which was super sweet and showed a softer side to Deuce, as we also saw some incredibly dark moments from him.

Deuce is hell-bent on seeking revenge for what Juliana has been put through, and he tortures some people in this book. Some of the torture was quite graphic and detailed, showcasing the lengths the MC will go to to protect women and children. As well as the details regarding dealing with 'the enemy', there was also the mention of SA, some of which was detailed lightly on the page, and then a very graphic and disturbing description of something found at one of the farms. I could have personally done without the imagery, but it did match with the rest of the story and showcase the severity of the situation.

Along with the danger and seriousness of what is happening with the trafficking, the book also deals with Juliana now having to deal with a baby that she never intended to have.

I'd love to read about more of the Devil Dogs MC. While it wasn't spicy or overly romantic, I do feel it was a well-balanced story that drew me in and made me want more.

An amazing take on the “Big Scary Silent Type” turns out to be a cinnamon roll story. A delightful, quick read that leaves you wanting more.

Though dealing with some dark elements in the overarching story line (kidnapping, SA, human trafficking), the love story is sweet, with a definite insta-love element. However, I would call this a slow burn, unusual to see in this trope but makes perfect sense in the story.

Lots of foreshadowing leaves me wanting to know more about this series - Hades backstory especially. I can’t wait to get my hands on Chaos’, Raven’s and Benelli’s stories either.

Trigger Warning: does feature off page/references to SA, Incest, Pregnancy Loss, Child death and well as on page kidnapping & torture. These are not gratuitous or particularly graphic. Your mental health is important.

This was a good MC and veteran read! This MC club always has each others back. And while they are stand alones it’s better to read them in order!

This was a solid 4 stars for me. Like Shadow, I wish it was longer and spicier and had more time to deal with the trauma. But the action, the emotions, it was all great. Up until on Hades scene, it was a 4.5 for me. That scene felt way out of left field but also made me hope he'll be after Bellini or soon-ish. Though I'm also rooting for Chaos. Deuce is wonderful and has been instantly added to the book husband list. Really, I had already put him on that list in Shadow. He's so magnificent. All the snaps for Deuce.

Book 2 in the Devil Dogs MC series is just as good as the first.

- MC Romance
- Trauma
- Touch Her & 💀
- Spice (1/5 🌶️)

Deuce saved Juliana from a trafficking ring that intended to take the baby she was carrying as a surrogate for her friends

I loved that even though Sophia writes great smut we took the time to address what Juliana has been through before their relationship went physical.

As always there’s chaos and a great sub-plot with the romance.

An excellent read. I absolutely loved Deuce and Juliana’s story ❤️❤️❤️ She was left in a quandary about her pregnancy. Deuce was her protector, he loved her and wanted her for himself. Chaos and drama abound, dangerous situations, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
