Snowdrift Sunrise: A Snowdrift Summit Romance

Rate this book
Lance Major thrives in the great outdoors, always chasing that next exhilarating rush. The thought of settling down is as distant as the snow-covered peaks of Snowdrift Summit until Sarah Hart, his best friend’s sister, returns to town after a recent divorce.Suddenly, he finds himself in the hushed aisles of the library where she works, spending more time between the pages of a book than carving up the snowy slopes. Sarah has taken notice of Lance, too. In truth, she’s always been inexplicably drawn to Lance’s carefree spirit. Stolen moments between the stacks quickly evolve into hot chocolate sunrises and late-night book clubs. When the opportunity to organize a reading retreat at the local Snowdrift Inn arises, Sarah seizes it with the same spontaneity she’s learned from Lance. Gathering fellow literature enthusiasts becomes her passion project, but Lance’s winter sports business feels the repercussions. The Inn’s rooms, traditionally reserved for his adventurous clients, are now occupied by authors seeking peace and quiet. And when a renowned travel writer attends the retreat and offers Lance a chance to embark on a globe-trotting expedition that would take him far from Snowdrift, he must choose between following his heart or pursuing the thrill of the unknown. Can Sarah and Lance strike a balance that allows their passions to coexist, or will the clash between the love of literature and the allure of adventure ultimately drive them apart?

- Single mother
- Second chance
- Brother's best friend

Part of the Snowdrift Summit series, this sweet story provides all the feels. After her marriage ends, Sarah moves back home to the small town of Snowdrift Summit with her toddler daughter Laney. She's living with her parents and working in the town library, but has lots of ideas to make the library's program grow.

Lance is Sarah's brother's best friend and business partner in an outdoor experience company. After reinjuring his knee, Lance's doctor wants his to take it easy, but that's not Lance's style. Lance starts to question what his role can be in the company if he can't go out on excursions with their clients.. He decides to take one piece of advice from his doctor - pick up a book at the library..

The last time Sarah was home, she and Lance casually dated, but when Sarah went back to Sacramento, Lance thought she was going to reconcile with her former husband and put up walls to protect his heart.

These two long for each other, but both are reluctant to open up their hearts..

So cute and sweet. I absolutely recommend this book!.

Lance Major and Holden Hart had been best friends forever. They had even started an adventure business together in Snowdrift Summit. When Holden's older sister, Sarah moved back to town with her young daughter, Laney, after a divorce, Lance was smitten. He had always had a thing for Sarah but she always seemed out of reach and then she had moved on and married. Now, a few years later and lots of heartbreak, she is back. He just wants to be there to support her. When they both have feelings that surface, will Sarah be willing to take a risk on Lance? He had always been the dare devil but this would require risk for Sarah, too.

This is a sweet, clean, wholesome romance that is part of a series but can be read as a standalone book. I loved how the story progressed and how the secondary characters in the story added depth to the story.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

This was the cutest story! As someone who loves bookish elements in books, it absolutely thrilled me that Sarah was a librarian and that books played a major role in bringing her and Lance together finally. The author retreat Sarah came up with for her library and town was another part of the story that was super fun. My favorite character was Grandma Jo, she was awesome. Sarah and Lance’s friends to more romance was sweet and felt completely natural. Thoroughly enjoyed this one and I am so looking forward to Faith’s story!

I received an ARC of this story and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

Sarah and Lance are both stubborn and don’t want to accept when they need help like she does caring for her toddler Laney and he from his knee injury. They both have ideas to boost their careers. I love the writers retreat and the fun activities incorporating their books. But Sarah’s success affects Lance’s booked outdoor excursions until he swallows his pride and pivots to consider alternatives. The impish rescue puppy, his escapee pony sidekick, and Sarah’s daughter were adorable and his grandmother a firecracker. It was great to catch up with previous characters in this kisses only romance series.

Such a sweet story with a toddler, dogs and quaint mountain town. Sarah and Lance have known each other since childhood, concealing crushes a long time. Changes in Sarah’s life allowed her to move back home and start fresh. I just love the adorable way everyone fawns over little Laney and encourages each other. The town is charming and touristy, tucked into a fictional mountain in California. Their story stands alone but is slightly connected to Holden and Rachel’s story, Holden and Sarah are siblings. I enjoyed reading an advanced copy and wrote this review voluntarily.

This was a charming romance novel. Sarah has moved back to her hometown with her young daughter after her divorce. She has to learn to accept help and compliments. The story is well written. Both Sarah and Lance have their flaws exposed which make them more relatable. An enjoyable story.

I loved this book! The main characters were great, especially Nana Jo. I loved how well everyone got along. But it ended too quickly. I just wanted it to keep going, just like all of Megan Squires' books.

Another sweet and lovely novel by Ms. Squires. All the elements for a fresh romance are together-romance, second chances, mistakes, love. A genuinely terrific story for any season.

This is a dual pov, clean romance. Awe! These two are literally the sweetest. Everyone knows I love a story where a kid is a side character and Laney just makes you love Lance’s character more. He not only is sweet to Sarah but he included Laney and makes her feel seen. The support and love in this story will make you want to curl up in front of a fire and soak in this story. Also, Lance’s nana is an absolute doll and I love her character. She reminds me so much of my own grandma.
