Why oh why do women read this shit, and why do women WRITE it????
Here's a sample:
Hero brings new, 20 year old recruit to clubhouse (are these guys, like, ten years old?) and in living room is introduced to one of the members: (remember, the noble purpose of this club is to help Vets re-integrate back into society and deal with any PTSD issues they might have).

"Good luck," Eagle said to both of us. "Be seein'you."Deryk (new recruit) gave him a nod and Eagle proceeded to finish his march to the corner, dropped his pants, and leaned back against the wall. Lacy wasted no time at all, falling to her knees and doing her damndest to swallow his dick.

Deryk gaped. I nudged the kid and he closed his mouth.... I led him to the bar, where a blonde with big fake tits busting out of her low-cut blouse was pouring drinks. "Hey, Link, you want the usual?" she asked, giving me a wink. Almost every man in the club had a "usual" when it came to Shari, but the shine of the club sluts had dulled for me years ago, so my regular was just a drink........
I showed him the kitchen. "Plenty of food in the fridge and the pantry. Sometimes the club whores shop for us, sometimes the recruits do......" "Club whores?" he asked. "The bitches hanging' around, like Shari and the redhead in there suckin' off Eagle. They're a nice distraction from reality...a way to blow your wad if you get tired of using your hand."

He goes on to try to justify the whole scenario, when young Deryk has the nerve to question what he just saw, with some rubbish about how the women are there because they want to be (he refers to Shari as "that thirsty bitch isn't happy unless she's got dick in her") and that because the boys served their country they deserve the sex. ("The women that hang around, they appreciate our service and our cocks"). His tone is aggressively self-righteous. Excellent role model for a young impressionable and probably traumatised ex-soldier.

Apart from the sick, churning feeling I have in my stomach (I am actually furiously angry) I have to wonder how this environment is supposed to integrate these men into a normal civilian life. I get the need to gather together and support each other. But does that need to be accompanied by seriously misogynistic attitudes and a disgracefully contemptuous view of the women they are having sex with? (How are the men not club whores, too?) How will they go on to build healthy, respectful relationships with women and ultimately be good role-models for their children? How would they feel if their daughter decided she wanted a job in the Clubhouse? Appreciating the guys' service and their cocks? Oh, that's right, those are whores , not actually women. My daughter is not one of THEM.
Perhaps this says a lot about the appallingly sexist stereotype this author believes in. Glad it was just a sample- only got in a few pages, then gagged.

I have read one good series that involved an MC- I wish to God there were more like that, because I am sure there are many bikers out there who do not want to be associated with this kind of vile garbage.

I loved Linc like crazy. Emily I liked at times and at others I wanted to tell her to chill the fuck out already. I’m all for a woman being strong, independent and having a career. But it took all the way until the end of the story for her to really soften up and show some vulnerability. That’s too long for me. Linc, a special forces soldier in the army who is very alpha and the Prez of an MC showed more vulnerability. Being vulnerable is NOT a sign of weakness. It’s putting yourself out there knowing that you could end up hurt. It makes you STRONGER to be able to do that. So sometimes she just came off as bitchy. But I also liked her at times. Looking forward to more in this series.

DNF @60%.
This was just too instalust for me.

"Ohmigod, did you see what he’s packing? That’s not just some average garden snake he’s wielding. He’s gotta be smuggling a python in those jeans.”

The heroine, discussing the hero's bulge with her assistant. After their second meeting. Very professional of her.

On the third meeting they f*ked (up against the wall in his office) and by the forth one he met the Grandma and surprise surprise the Grandma approved. My eye-roll count was off the chart by now.

I loved most MC romance but this one felt too forced. On to the next one.

Overall this was an enjoyable light read, presently book 3 remains my favourite, but I can see myself re-reading this at some point.

I liked how strong and confident Emily was - she's one fierce lawyer/woman. Link was also a good character, once he knew Emily was it, he didn't loose focus, the back and forth when they first meet was entertaining.

I really liked Emily's gran, i'm thinking that's where Emily got her fierceness from.

I do wish the introduction of Emily's annoying cheating ex-Lance had been removed or resulted in some sort of event that ensured he was forever disappearing from her life. I know Link tells him to get lost as does Emily, but still as a strand of the story this needed more potency.

I also wanted a little more sizzle from Link and Emily, but this was a nice read.

Again near the start of the book there is the mention of 'club sluts', but its fleeting and luckily there's no horrible drama involving 'club sluts' (I so hate that phrase). I'm also happy to say there was not any type of cheating in this book, nor was there any type of gross initiations e.g. where members get to 'sample' the new 'old lady', for that reason book 1 and 3 have been a breath of fresh air when it comes to the MC romance subgenre.

I LOVED this story. This is my first Harley Stone story and I am so happy to have been introduced to her. The characters are strong and well written. The story is wonderful and I could not put this story down. I am a big fan of MC stories, but not all authors that write in this genre hit it. Harley did.

Link is a hard a$$ president of the Dead Presidents. And when one of his guys ends up in jail he wants the best of the best for a lawyer. That is where Emily comes in.

Emily doesn't take crap from anyone. She stands up for herself and the people she defends. So when Link asks her to defend his buddy, she isn't sure that is the best thing. But after getting more details she ends up taking the case.

The chemistry is boiling with this story. But even with that, the actual story is wonderful. It is an all around wonderful book. A must read. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

This is the first book the Dead President’s MC series and what a fabulous start!

Tyler ‘Link’ Lincoln is the president of the MC and when one of his brothers, Havoc, is put in jail on a false charge, he turns to defence attorney, Emily Stafford. He had heard good things about her getting results but what he wasn’t prepared for what the hot package she came in. The moment he sets eyes on her he knows she is set to be more than just a DA for him.

Emily is a tough cookie and has worked hard for what she has achieved. She doesn’t take things lightly and at first glance at Link she sees his tats and his cut but when she listens to more she is instantly invested in seeing if there is any truth in the underhand goings on that landed Havoc in Jail.

I loved Link and Emily from the start. He was hot, bossy and a top notch sexy alpha. His charisma oozed off the kindle that displayed he was a dominant man not to be ignored. On the other hand Emily was no soft touch either and she gave Link as good as he gave. There was no unnecessary angst and a silly runaround for these two. They knew what they wanted and they were definitely going to get it (and how hot it was!). Steamy!

I loved that the MC was for ex-servicemen which made the brotherhood all the more tight in their steadfast support of each other. The banter between them all was a big draw into the MC and I loved the set up in an old Fire House. The other secondary characters, especially Emily’s assistant and her grandmother, were also a welcome addition (her assistant is especially hilarious)

The storyline was engaging and had plenty of depth to offset the lighter laughter times. I love an MC romance but some fall flat in the initial world building. This however was a hit from the start. I could not put it down and I am now on tenterhooks awaiting Havoc’s story which I hope will cover some areas that were left untold. I would definitely recommend this enticing sexy MC read which highly deserves five stars. Fabulous!

OK, so I loved Link but Emily was a tough pill to swallow for me. I am all about an independent and successful woman but I also don't want one with a brass set either and for me, she was a tough nut to crack. She was a bit too "rough" n "tough", I would have liked to see her character as is BUT with a softer side, she had too much "male" in her, lol sorry, for lack of a better way to describe her.

Anyhoo, the writing was good, this story wasn't all about sex either, it had a great actual astoryline to it. To be honest, as intriguing as the story was, I had wished o get more of a build-up between the two rather than all the suspenseful storyline but hey that's just me.

Will I continue with this series, yes, I am quite intrigued by a great support cast of secondary characters:)

I am well aware that I will most likely be in the minority with this review but it is what it is. I had high hopes when I started Link’d Up, I was in search of a new MC romance series to discover and love and I hoped that this one would be the answer. Let me state that I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. The potential was there to be something great but it just missed the mark.

I have no problems with strong will heroines if they are strong willed but smart, Emily to me, came across as strong willed but over confident and off putting at times. Her character is what took this book from being something that could have been great and made it mediocre. I give plenty of chances for a character to win me over, hell I gave Emily extra chances but nope just couldn’t move past her. If you are going to call yourself a queen, then act like it, not a spoiled little princess who throws a tantrum every time she gets upset. Now Link, well his character I liked but I wish he could have compensated more for my dislike of Emily. I know he liked Emily’s feisty side but while he was an alpha male for sure, I don’t think he balanced enough with Emily.

I wish I would have enjoyed this one more, and like I said it had the potential to be a great book, but sometimes all it takes is one character to ruin the potential of a book, and sadly for me that is what happened with Link’d Up. As always form your own opinion because what didn’t work for me could work for you.

The writing is good, story had a lot of potential and while it was good, it fell short of great for me. The H is strong, tough and now celibate and I liked that about him and loved his thoughts about the h - he fell in love with her pretty quickly. She was not so easy to like. I liked that she was smart and committed to her profession, but she was smug, self satisfied and sassy. I rarely like sassy hs and I just didn't connect to her at all. It was still a good read, but I skimmed quite a few pages, never a good sign.

The best part about blogging for me is trying new to me authors that I wouldn't have necessarily found on my own. Sure we all want the opportunity to read our favorites but there is nothing like discovering a new-to-me author and diving headfirst into their book after being swept away by the blurb. That's exactly what happened to me while reading Harley Stone's Link'd Up. I absolutely fell head over heels with Link and Emily. He was everything I loved about MC heroes. He was strong, protective, dominant as default, sexy and loyal with a core set of values. I loved that he was such a perfect match to Emily. She was sassy, loyal and gave as good as she got and never hesitated to bring him down to his knees. I loved this story!!

When Tyler "Link" Lincoln convinces Defense Attorney Emily Stafford to represent his bestfriend and fellow brother in the Dead Presidents MC, he knew he was lost the minute he saw her. She was gorgeous at first glance but her work ethic and bull dog approach to discovering the truth and finding justice stood out to him. What follows is an exciting story of brotherhood and a passionate love story between two people that I could not get enough.

I loved this story and am SO interested in reading more books in the Dead Presidents MC. I can't wait for Havoc's story! Bravo! 4.5 stars!

This had so much potential. The whole book moved a little too fast for me. I think there was a lot of things that could of been expanded.

I did love Emily and Link’s relationship though!

I loved this hero. He's amazing. The heroine was too tough into the bitchy side. I need some softness for my alpha. Need that balance.
But very happy no other women issues for the hero. I didn't need to read about other people's sexual issues though and wish it wasn't in the book .
Loved the writing flow and pace. I'd definitely try something else by this author if it focused more on the hero and heroine and not secondary characters sexual relationships.

I am so, so happy that I have found this new to me author. After reading the blurb I just knew that I had to read this book and I wasn't disappointed in the least. I absolutely LOVED this book!!!

Link and Emma are perfect for each other. Link knows he wants her as his but she isn't going to make it easy. She has been burned before and not only that but she is independent and feisty as hell. Link is an alpha to his core and likes control over everything to a point. Don't get me wrong he isn't as asshole who thinks he can control her life but he is protective and with everything that is going on, he wants to make sure she is safe. He has found his queen and isn't about to let some assholes hurt her.

I loved the story besides the romance as well. The case they are trying to solve and bring to justice. Her heart will be invested in this book and you are going to love the grandmother. She is funny as hell. I can't wait to read more from Harley and the Dead Presidents MC!!

I picked this one up when it was free. It is the first book in the series, is rather short (176 pages) but is a standalone. First time author for me and I enjoyed the story even though it seemed to be a compilation of details I've read in a lot of other MC romances. I liked Link as a hot, alpha-possessive but considerate hero. Emily's an attorney that Link retains to get one of his MC brothers out of jail and she has a very strong personality. This one is very much lite MC. Not a 1% criminal club but one that works to rehab military vets with problems. But it has all of the other aspects of a 1% club, club sweetbutts, old ladies, etc. etc. There's no cheating and a HEA. This one reminded me of early KA.
I most likely will not move on to the next book even though I enjoyed this one unless it comes up free. Book 2 is also 176 pages and is $4.99. That's a little high priced for such a short book for a new author. I do recommend this one if you got it free.

4 Link'd Stars

Link'd Up is the first book in the Dead Presidents MC series by  Harley Stone . It’s also the first book for me by this author. As a first timer to Stone's books it took me a minute to get into her style of writing and the book.

We’re a motorcycle club. All ex-military, and we specialize in helping vets get back on their feet after they come home from the service.”

Link is a ex-marine who has taken over from his father as president of the Dead Presidents. They recruit ex-military and try support them in life after serving. Link was strong, protective, sexy and loyal to the core. Emily was a great match for him. Sassy, smart and well capable of looking after herself.

Oh, and be sure your gay-dar is on. If one of those strong, sexy, rough-looking bikers happens to be a big, fuzzy teddy bear, you let him know my beehive is full of honey.”

This was a great story and was full of alpha males. The secondary characters where plentiful which for me is a big deal when it comes to series. I think Stone did this well. I'll be reading more in this series.

This was a fun one to read due in part to how from the start Link respected Emily. I loved his thoughts as he watched Emily in action in the courtroom and later how pretty much from the start he showed her how much he wanted her in big and little ways. Even when he brought her into his life in the club he was laying down hints of how much he wanted her. It was great when Emily realized some of them.

I also loved how the club was behind Havoc and what he did, how the club seemed to respect women. Sure they had their share of women at the club house they all shared, but it didn't come off as slimy.

I loved the end, loved that the bad guys were taken out in a huge way, loved the changed in Link and Emily's lives, but most of all I loved how Grandma was taking care of herself! I totally want to be her when I grow up!

These are just some of my thoughts of when I tried to read the book.

It sounded so promising when I read the blurb, a veteran's MC sounded exciting and the plot was also intriguing but I personally wasn't sure what the author was trying to aim at here. It would be demure and then suddenly it go into full crazy MC territory. Okay maybe not full on crazy but it went pretty MC and I personally didn't know what to make of that.

Wait I kinda loved this?

In the beginning I felt like so much was happening. She’s a lawyer, he’s a biker club president and one of his men got in deep shit

The storyline was actually good and I enjoyed reading this book 🥹

Link'd Up by Harley Stone is the first MC novel in the Dead Presidents series.  The Dead Presidents isn't your typical drug and gun running motorcycle club.  They're all men who served their country in one way or another, and try to give back what they can and give vets a second chance at life once they've been discharged.  Link is the president of his MC and is looking for a lawyer to help bail one of his brothers out of jail.  Emily is a lawyer who doesn't take any BS and is the one Link wants for the job.  The relationships throughout this book are very entertaining, especially that of Emily and her assistant Jayson (that man is very creative, descriptive and absolutely hilarious with female anatomy).  This was a great start to what I'm sure will be a great series.  I'm already looking for book 2!

Let's start a new series, correction... Let's start a new MC series from a new author. I'm always saying that I need to slow down but I can't... I can't turn my back to another MC book.
Harley Stone is a new author to me and let's just say that I will keep following her. Her writing is hot and sassy, wild and forbidden just the way I like it.
Link'd Up is her latest release and it's the first book from the Dead Presidents MC. This book explores the lifes of Link and Emily.
This MC has a selected row of members. Each one is an Ex military Vet. Each one had served their country and then they joined this club.
Link is the MC president that will do everything to help and protect his members. He's a protector by nature and doesn't back out from a challenge. When one of his brothers is arrested he only wants the best lawyer to get the case.
Emily is a lawyer. She's feisty, stubborn, loyal and determined to win every case she enters. When a stunning guy ask for her help what will she do? Take the case it not?
And I'm done talking.
Amazing plot, very well written, super detailed and engaging. The chemistry between the characters is tight and raw and you will find yourself rooting for them.
The story progressed smoothly and I couldn't stop reading it. There were parts of the story that I laughed so hard that I almost wet myself. Lol. Jayson is freaking hilarious.
This book will present you with crime, deceive, punishment as well as love, friendship, loyalty and respect. All great ingredients for an amazing journey.
Oh boy Harley this book is awesome. When can we have another one.? Not long I hope.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I really enjoyed Link'd up it would be the first book I've read by Harley Stone and I know there will be more in my kindle soon so can't wait for book two in the Dead Presidents MC . Link and Emily are both strong characters they were perfect for one another with such intense chemistry and the sex scenes lets not forget about those because they will leave you breathless . There wasn't drama which I really loved I'm kinda done with drama that it is put in books just cause and the flow of Link'd up was perfect it wasn't rushed to were I was like what just happened or to slow to were I wanted to just fall asleep it was just right . The secondary characters were also brilliant they definitely have stories to tell that are just going to blow my mind like this one did . I'm picky when it comes to MC but I also love finding authors that can pool them off and this author is one of them looking forward to read whats to come and what has already been written .

4.5 stars! I'm really picky about MC romance since I feel they can easily feel forced or over the top if not done well. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book, but I ended up really enjoying it! I am such a sucker for a strong, smart, and capable heroine, and Emily is all that and more. She is the best criminal defense attorney around, and she also has a heart of gold. It's no wonder Link is a goner when he meets her. Link is a strong alpha who really gets to know his people and what they need. He and Emily have explosive chemistry, and I loved their relationship. Jayson was hysterical and a great addition to the book, along with all of the supporting characters! I really can't wait for book 2!
