April 6, 2024I made it to 70% but I can’t tolerate any more: Between the waterfall between her legs and his cringetastic dirty talk… 😬😬 …. This author needs to learn a little subtlety. We don’t need to be bludgeoned to death with every single thing. This book only contains the content for about 100 pages. The rest was just stupid sh*t on repeat. I liked a lot of the ideas but not the execution. Where’s the emotion? Where is the struggle and angst??? I’m at 70% - I should be feeling something at this point besides rolling my eyes that wetness is (once again) seeping into the heroine’s panties over the hero’s very OTT (yet weirdly boring) dirty talk. Also, I’m a fan of the manwhore/virgin trope but his experience with the heroine should feel different, and not just her “tightness” 🙄… the way this is written, the hero is just practicing all his skillz on the h and even compares her to OW both in his head and to her face while inside her. If any of the sex felt uniquely passionate, and the dirty talk more than just the words he always uses with women, it might be ok… but it all feels practiced and creepy to me. Too shallow. Too much.

i knew from the moment i picked up this book and read the dedication page that i would become obsessed with it. man was i fucking right 😩 i’m so in love with ocean. she is someone who i relate to heavily. her whole life she just wanted to be seen and heard. she’s a dreamer with such a big heart. she gave it all to nico 🥹 and this man. THIS. MAN. good lord i need holy water because the mouth on this walking red fucking flag had me reaching for my rose every time he opened his damn mouth 🤤 he’s filthy. he’s controlling. he’s possessive. he’s so wrong but sooooo yummy.
THAT ENDING WAS BRUTAL 😭 i had a feeling it was going to be a cliffhanger. BUT NOT LIKE THAT OMG !!?? i need to jump into the next book IMMEDIATELY 💔 my heart fucking hurts. nico’s dad needs to go. bye bitch.

Ocean has ran away from her home and family due to who knows what as the book doesn't give any background on her. She changes her name and age in order to try and get better jobs in New York as most want 21 and older. Ocean's dreams are to become a professional ballerina dancer, and though she would love to attend a school for dance, she knows that is where her family will look first. Ocean takes a job at a very exclusive, very expensive gentleman's club where she can make more money than she could as a waitress working a fraction of the hours. Unfortunately for he, and fortunately for him, Ocean catches the eye of the owner, Nico, the heir to the family business in New York. Although he did kinda... sorta.. ish try and stay away he ultimately succumbed to his greatest obsession.. his piccola ballerina.
Ocean struggles throughout this book with her insecurities and ultimately her gut especially when Nico's favorite pastime is disappearing for days and the reappearing like no time had gone by. Nico tries his best to balance his obligations to the family and to his greatest desire.. but he does make a few oopsies here and there..
Papa Marchetti makes his presence to Ocean and informed her of who Nico really is and what he's been up to when he's not with her.. and the news is devastating as she now realizes her heart is with someone who could never return the sentiment.. and it's time to move on but with a little more heartache this go around.
This book ends on a cliffy and boy am I disappointed lol now I gotta wait to find out how things turn out when book 2 comes out lol.
Overall this books storyline was really good it kept me engaged I always enjoy an unhinged insta obsessed MMC.. I hope there's some groveling in the near future for him. I hope next book we dive a bit more into who Ocean is and where she came from. Like I said the book was great but there was a lot of repetitive phrases in the first 40% of the book so I had to knock some points off.

Honestly, I WISH I liked this more. I like Smut like the next gurl but this had a lot filled with cringe scenes. AND I mean CRINGE. If I have to hear AGAIN how big the MMCS dick is, I will actually cry. WE GET IT, you have a humongous ✋️🙄 blaa blaa blaa.
Also to be fair the author warned us with the Morally grey hero warning at the beginning of the book so I rate that. BUT I would've thought somewhere near the end of the book, his feelings would resemble love, but instead it just felt like she was a possession to him, he wanted to keep her as a mistress basically, hidden away from his family while he took on his responsibilities and had children and marriage with another women. You can't have your cake and eat it too. 🖕 It just didn't feel like love on his side by the end.
ALSO miss gurl said she loved him at the end, BUT idk what kind of love she's feeling. What love did he show her other then dictating what she does or feels.
Anyways I'm nosy so I'll definitely read the next but both MMC and FMC had issues.

Oh my god oh my god!!! A first from this author for me, but damm , Kelly i think we could be best friends!! I mean what the hell did you put in this book. I just devoured the whole darn thing in under 12 hrs with sleeping at night. So you can know how I read it , and boy oh boy was it worth it. Nico and Ocean , the soon to be mafia don and the innocent dancer, too good for this world and running away from the bad. Their paths cross and there is pure fire , scorching heat and blaze. I can't say much without giving away plot but do not hesitate to pick up this book . It is everything and more! I can't wait to read the next! On pins and needles here.

Honestly the story line is right up my alley but the writing is very juvenile and there is aspects with both the MMC and FMC that really annoy me.. BUT for the sake of the storyline I’m going to finish the duet- so my full review will be under the second book of this series

I couldn’t put this down! Nico was a jerk and now the hearts and flower type but he was also super possessive and obsessed with Ocean.
The secret behind Oceans background kept me guessing and I can’t wait to find out more.
Nico’s father was abhorrent. I think a lot the way Nico was that wasn’t likable was due to his father. I really can’t wait to see how the rest is this story goes.

Nico was a rap1st and a sad1st. The author tried to copy Danielle Lori's "Nico I'm so sore" but this Nico was so rubbish he just came back with you'll manage and used her basically like a toy but not even in a sexy way. I detested him. This book is poorly written. 1 star for some of the smut but rubbish in general

𝑶𝒄𝒆𝒂𝒏 is running from something. Something that could ruin her dreams, capture her forever and leave her in the darkness. But she is a fighter. And she will do just that by not fighting but 'hiding'. But there is a limit to hiding and then comes a hot, dark, and devilish boss, who looks like he was born with that fitting tailored suit, who has certainly gain an interest in her. He don't give up what is His's and she is definitely not an exception. He will annihilate everyone who is daring to have her. A fighter like her fights him to the end till no fight is left and love comes in view. But happiness is fleeting in Oceans life when she is forced to leave ,yet again, the life she created to start a new one.
It had cost me all my mental power to stay on course to be able to comprehend Nico's mentality but literally he is a feral beast. Ocean is really doing her job in keeping up with such possessive alpha. And don't make me start with spicy stuff. There is plenty of that. As for the plot then I am so intrigued to read the next book for Ocean's whole story. At first I didn't know I will be able to start this duet because honestly duets usually ends on desperate grounds and so did this one but I am looking forward for the next consecutive book to arrive and dive head first in.

ASTRONOMICAL, that’s all I can say in this moment. What a roller coaster, I knew I was going to be taken for a ride because of all the forbidden love part, but wow Kelly didn’t have to make the ending like that… and those spice scenes JESUS, talk about internally screaming. I could read this book over and over again. Call me crazy or a true dark romance girl because if Nico came up to me in real life I would most likely say ehh saw the red flags and thought it was the carnival🤣🚩I would kneel for him any day!!
The gasp I gasped when I read page 162, I have now found my new book boyfriend! I wanted to scream but I would wake up the neighbors, you know that meme where she is silently screaming, well that was me and page 170🫠🫣 now I’m never going to be able to eat tiramisu the same way again. Who am I even kidding there are so many pages that I bookmarked but I’m not giving away anymore more spoilers, you’ll just have to read it for yourself. I promise you won’t be disappointed. This book is going to be forever burned into my brain, I’m not even going to have to reread it. So now everyone that loves a dark mafia romance READ THIS right now so we can all silently scream together. I don’t really pay attention to page numbers or chapters, I just immediately dive into a book and this one was way shorter than I expected. I finished it in under five hours.

This time we follow Ocean and Nico. Ocean wants to become a ballerina, but needs money and job to pursue that dream and ends up taking a gig as a stripper in Nico’s club. Nico immediately becomes captivated with her the minute his eyes lands on her and the rest is history.
Let me tell you, NICO WAS FINE.
I devoured the crap out of this book. The chemistry between these two were insane. The storyline just kept getting better and better, pulling me more into their connection with every page. He was extremely possessive (as he should) and would pretty much burn the whole world down for her (which is romantic in a dark romance/twisted way). We love an unhinged morally grey MMC willing to do anything for their love. The spice was absolutely INSANE and KINKY. Kelly knows how to keep the readers wanting more (and I definitely want more). It did end up in a cliffhanger which is fine because I will be reading the rest of this series for answers!
If you love some HEATED SPICE 🌶️, a morally grey MMC, plot twists, secrets and want an excellent binge read: this is it! ❤️🌶️

Dancing In Sin is the first book in a dark mafia romance duet by Kelly Kelsey. This was such a great start to this duet! I loved where Kelly’s taking the story!! The ending, I’m so glad Kelly is releasing the second book within weeks after this one. I dont think I could wait months to know what happens.
One thing about Kelly she knows how to write alpha men and Nico is no different. He falls fast & hard for Ocean the moment he sees her. I’m super excited to see where their relationship takes them in the next book.
The spicy scenes were perfect as always! Kelly knows what she does to us.
I loved this book, I cannot wait to know more into Ocean’s past, I love the mystery around it. I cant wait to see how Kelly plays it out!

There was so many repetitive questions and sayings the main characters kept asking and telling themselves that became super annoying.
Nico: what is it about this woman that has me going crazy? // Ocean is mine and i don’t care what anyone says.
Ocean: what is it about Nico that makes nervous and turned on at the same time?
I can’t think of other questions off the top of my head but there was plenty and they were constant and Ocean apparently can’t keep her panties from getting wet when she’s around Nico. And then Nico’s creeper ass thinks it’s a hot kink to boink her while she’s sleeping because she looks beautiful and vulnerable? No. Just no.
The book just ended at like 80%ish and I had no idea it was a cliffhanger. 🤦🏻♀️ so I guess it’s on to the next book to find out what the feck happens to them.

Well... This was entertaining.
I am gonna be honest. It was bad. Like seriously, just bad.
And I devoured it like crazy.
The shit that came out of his mouth was just cringeworthy. I mean, who comes up with all that BS?
But I ate it up with a smile on my face. I laughed like a maniac.
I mean, I seriously love this unhinged idiot.
Do I recommend it? No, just no. Believe me that all the bad reviews are on point.
Did I enjoyed it? Yes, yes I did.
Did I start the sequel immediately? Yes I did.

Gah - this book has me in a chokehold because there’s so many secrets and I’m dying to know what happens next! Who is she? What is she hiding? What’s Nico going to do? The plot of this one had me turning pages quickly. And the spice, oooooo, the spice! Yum in all caps! 🥵🥵🥵 I mean, I should have known by the dedication alone. 😉 I can’t wait to dive into the next one and continue the story of Ocean and Nico!

This read was wonderful. Everything is a mystery surrounding Ocean and she she came about. There's no back story at all. Who she is remains a mystery and I'm hoping it unravels the way I am imagining. Nico throws Ocean in a possessive hold and there's mystery surrounding him and his dynamics with family as well. Nico is certainly a red flag. Enjoyed this read.

This was a very intriguing read. I loved the chemistry and connection between that blazed so brightly between the characters. Nico and Ocean made a seductive pair. Exquisite tenson, intense emotions, raw emotions, scorching heat, juicy drama and stunning twists are a decadent and delicious combo that has me obsessed and desperate for more after that whopper of a cliffy.
