TROPES:
~mafia
~brother's best friend/second in command
~arranged marriage

PLOT: Mia is 20 years old now and it's time for her to marry. She's ridiculed by suitors because (in the previous book) her sister hooked up with their bodyguard. It's made her life hell and she's a bit of a brat because of it. In comes Killian, an Irish man, who is her brother's second in command. He's always thought she was pretty and because his mom is dying, he decides to go ahead and get married. They come to an agreement. But will it all work out?

THOUGHTS: Ehhhh. Mia was so much of a brat it made it hard for me to like this novel. Killian's mom is dying because of breast cancer and wanted to have the wedding at the hospital and Mia downright refused because she wanted a big wedding. After that happened I found it really hard to even like Mia as the heroine. There's spice, some mafia drama, and sweet moments. 3/5.

SAFETY:
Virgin/celibate?: virgin heroine
OM/OW?: no
Cheating/sharing?: no
Triggers: breast cancer, attempted SA
HEA? yes<3

Part of The Moretti Mafia series each can be read as a standalone with an overprotective sexy and the one who captures his attention so so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Mia is a sweetheart younger sister to Cecilia caused ripples by running off with her bodyguard which doesn’t help her situation since she is the average sister or so she is told not that beautiful or she has overheard other mafia men talk behind her back and every man selected as a prospect doesn’t want her because she is average this makes her upset no one sees her just what she looks like…and what Cecilia did overshadows even that. Killian sexy as all get out right hand man to Antonio attempting to take over the Irish mafia, ruthless, dangerous, deadly every day, he has liked only one women who so he lets her know giving her a choice to choose him although, Mia mother doesn’t seem to like him. Mia is surprised to Killian asks for her had he is so sexy and making a choice for herself she chooses him against her mother’s wishes but when he tells her his plans to take over the Irish she all while dealing with a mother sick mother she presents him with another option but with her mother in the way, putting obstacles in their way where are they headed, will he take over as planned, can he show Mia they can work, will he show her she is beautiful, and can they find their own path to happiness?

ARC REVIEW

I have never related more to a character than I did Mia. Battling not only her own insecurities but having to make sure she’s keeps her families name and reputation in tip top shape, that can wear anyone down!!! Her meeting Killian was the best thing to have ever happened to her, and the way he protected her!!!! SWOON WORTHY!!!

I balled like a baby in the chapter where his momma passed. She did like he asked and waited until she knew he was truly loved, and then the reception following the funeral 🤯

I absolutely loved this book, and I can’t wait for more from Ivy Davis!!

A fantastically written story which is the sixth book of the series that talks about the fifth daughter of a big family which has eight siblings in this mafia family that’s father was killed by his brother who is also the father of two of the siblings.
The young woman’s mother and brother who is a don of the mafia family, was trying to find suitors for the young woman, two of the suitors came to meet the young woman but neither of them was good enough. After a while the second the young woman’s brother comes up with a suggestion, he would marry the young woman and the young woman agrees with him. The mother doesn’t like the second so she doesn’t want her daughter to marry him but the brother/the don agrees to the marriage.
There was alot of things that was going on during this time with the two, he was trying to get men together to take over the Irish mob also his mother was in the hospital battling breast cancer which was not going well at the same time she was trying to battle her insecurities also she was upset with one of her older sister and her younger sister, they were also dealing with planning their wedding. It was very long before the two were to get married but the second wanted to get married at the hospital so his mom could be there but the young woman was wanting it at a venue so they got into a heated disagreement but later after he had time to calm down they two decided to have two weddings.
The young woman’s mother informed her that should didn’t approve of her having a wedding in a hospital and she wouldn’t go to it so when it was time she got dressed in her wedding dress going to the hospital, she winds up inviting an elderly woman to the wedding and the to go to her finance’s mother’s room where the wedding will take place. Before they start the proceedings the young woman’s family show up and after they have hospital food for their reception dinner. The newlyweds go to the second’s home and have champagne then they have sex.
The next morning while the second tended to business the young woman called the older sister she had been upset with asking her to meet her at a cafe close to their mother’s home. The young woman got there early so she was sitting there waiting for her sister. She heard some men talking and figured out that they were mafia men talking about her and her husband. She talked to them for a moment before running off. The young woman’s husband came home only to find her crying.
The young woman told him what happened, he was angry about it happening and the next day he had her take him to the cafe where they found the mafia men there. The second confronted the mafia men and afterwards they went to go home, they were followed and when they got to the home they went to go inside when the mafia men stopped them. Two of the mafia men grabbed the young woman and one went after the second but he kicked the mafia man, the other mafia man pulled out a gun. The mafia man pointed it to the second’s head. The second went after the gun and shot all of them in the head. The couple went into the home talking about what to do, they found out that the mafia men were her brother’s men. When It was done they decided to invite her brother over to the home, she called her brother and he and his wife came for lunch. When the brother got there and after they ate the newlyweds told the bother/the don what happened, the brother was furious and the brother and his wife left. The brother told them not to tell anyone about what happened. Not long after the young woman’s mother showed up words were said and the mother left. The next day the young woman went to her mother’s home and talked to her while there she also talked to her younger sister. After leaving the young woman went to her mother-in-laws hospital room and the two talked but the mother-in-law’s machines started to go off. The young woman got the nurses and she called her husband, the doctor came giving her the news about her mother-in-law and her husband came soon after. They went to the hospital room and the nurse gave them her condolences. After they went home the young woman tried to help him with his grief, they had sex.
They had the funeral for his mother, most of what family he had left came as well as some of his men and the young woman’s mother. After the funeral they went to a rec. building for the funeral reception. The second’s rival Irish mafia boss came with some men, they two rivals went outside of the building to talk and soon the young woman followed in no time the couple heard gunshots, the rival and his men left. The couple went inside, finding everyone was dead but the young woman couldn’t find her mother; she found her mother hiding. The second was furious he went and got his second, he wanted to kill the Irish mafia boss but when they got to where the Irish mafia boss was he found out that his second was a rat that worked for his rival. After the young woman’s husband went home they talked and later she went to confront her brother, while she was at it she went off on his men for the way they act.
The young woman’s brother the don went to talk to his second, they made a plan to kill the Irish mafia boss. The brother/don along with some of his men went to do the plan. Everything was going to plan until the guards came back early and started shooting. They got into the Irish mafia boss’s house and they looked for him, the second found him trying to go out the back door and the two talked before the second killed the Irish mafia boss.
The couple was happy and they told one another how much they love one another. They had the second wedding and at the reception the young woman went to the older sister who she was upset with and they talked. The young woman was okay. It was the first time in a while that she meant it.
The story has outstanding characters with a perfect steamy romance that turned out to be a happily ever after ending and it was a great page turner.

I definitely fell victim to that eye candy cover! Everything about this cover and the blurb made me want to read this so bad. I didn't even care that is was book #6 in an ongoing series! Hot alpha morally gray Hero and wallflower heroine in a star crossed lovers theme romance?! Yes, please! Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations :(

One thing that will kill a read for me almost instantly is when I can't get behind the heroine in the story and Mia was beyond annoying. I get that she has some self esteem issues and suffers from anxiety and familial pressure to make a good match to strengthen her family but I wish she wasn't so selfish and self centered about what she wanted and how to went about getting it. She was hyper focused on getting married, to the point she sounded unbalanced and cringey. She whines for a large portion of the story about her looks, blames her sister for her crap marriage prospects and doesn't see how wrong it is that her mother's only reason for hating Killian is because he is Irish. That's it. She'd rather parade a bunch of disgusting, degrading and down right mean scumbags for Mia than consider Killian's proposal. It was all so childish in the end.

The fact that they finally relent and accept Killian only for Mia to turn into a bratty little shrew was too much. I kept asking myself why she would run and cry when she should be steeling her backbone and standing up for herself. I never saw any emotional growth for her and that was all I wanted. Instead she only had two settings. Crying and throwing temper tantrums 🙄

I didn't like how she kept harping and going back and forth between loving, resenting and being jealous of her sister for following her heart and finding love. It got tiresome. The whole two weddings debacle was also OTT and silly. The only person with a normal character throughout this whole book is Killian's mom and she was on her death bed!

I never really felt the connection or romance between Killian and Mia. She was just desperate to get married and he needed marriage ties to gain Mia's brother's backing when he went after the Irish Mob. Yes, he thought she was cute and defended her when others were trying to tear her down but I think any decent human being would do that so I never saw anything special about Mia that would draw Killian in for the long haul.

This is a series based on an Italian Mafia family but the way everyone is portrayed from Mia to her brother (Head of the Family) to Killian and his plan to take down the Irish Don with no soldiers, connections or fire power seemed very unbelievable. Shouldn't there by loyal friends/associates, strategy, complex planning when it comes to overthrowing a mafia leader? I felt like this was a pipe dream because it had zero chance of succeeding. The mafia lifestyle in this alternate universe feels backwards and upside down.

I keep thinking about the scene where Mia and Killian are attacked and Killian kills their attackers to protect Mia from being kidnapped and sexually assaulted/raped. They find out that the men who attacked them are actually Mia's brother's foot soldiers and instead of raining hellfire on the traitors, her brother blames Mia and demands Killian is made to pay for going after his men!?!?! WTF? In every mafia book I've ever read, the Don or head of the family is feared and/or respected and traitors are punished to the extreme for going after family but somehow that is not the case here. The head of the mafia fears his soldiers instead of the other way around. It was frustrating to say the least.

The .5 Star is for Killian and his mom. Loved his mom and Killian wasn't as annoying as Mia so he kept me from completely abandoning this read. I'm off to read the next book which I feel is another beautiful cover and well written blurb that might just flop like this one did. Wish me luck!

Innocent Union is the sixth installment of the Moretti Mafia series. But can be read as a standalone. It has a guaranteed happy ending and NO cliffhangers. Each book in the series is focused on a new couple and interconnected with characters from previous books appearing stopping by. The story is nicely written with complex characters and engrossing storyline that keeps you turning the pages until the end. This is Killian and Mia's story.
An enemies-to-lovers romance, hate-to-love vibes story, dark mafia romance, billionaire romance, contemporary romance, organize crime romance, virgin heroine story, romantic suspense story, arranged marriage romance, polar opposite attracts romance, forced proximity story, brother's best friends/second-in-command romance, action and adventure romance, protective hero romance, forced marriage romance, with passion, steam, loss, survival, death, illness, attempted SA, anger, angst, tension, drama, resentment, emotions, danger, violence, hatred, hatred, acceptance, action, mystery, insecurities, pain, hurt, chaos, enemies, mob war, trust, madness, darkness, damsel in distress, survival, bigot, heartache, grief and love.

And as she parade around to see if she can get a suitor she has to listen to their snide remarks about how she's tainted goods, which was pretty horrible. These respective mafia men didn't wanted anything to with her which was a blow to her self esteem. Killian Brennan, Antonio's second in command has been attracted to Mia from the first time he saw. But Giulia Moretti, Mia's mother is a bigot and only wants her to find an Italian man. Killian is a good Irish man and has been Antonio's side helping to get back his empire. It's just Killian and his terminal ill mother who's in the hospital dying from breast cancer.
After he fines out that Mia has not have a prospective suitor, he asks her to be his wife. Although he was very generous and asked Mia hand in marriage even after know one was willing to do so. He wanted to make his mom happy and have the wedding at the hospital but Mia wouldn't grant him that small gesture, instead she wanted to be a brat stating that she wanted a large wedding. Killian see Mia for what she was worth, the real woman under the insecurities. When the Patrick the Irish boss came after Killian the Moretti's stand behind. Even though Mia and Killian is marry Giulia prejudice and disapproval of Killian continues to get in the way of their marriage and Killian worried that their will not loss. There's was so much going on in this story. Mia mother was so mean spirited as usual, and poor Killian the hurt after his my pass.

The Moretti Mafia Series by Ivy Davis is a favorite of mine. As much as I love Innocent Union the truth is that I don't have a favorite book in this series because they are all so good. It has been one crazy ride seeing how each Moretti child has evolved into adulthood. Some I have liked more than others. Quiet frankly, some I did not like as children and it wasn't until they became adults that I found myself liking them and vice versa. Mia was the only Moretti child that I have liked the entire series. She has some seriously low self esteem issues and her youngest sister Lucia only adds fuel to that flame. The stunt her older sister Cecelia pulled in the previous book has left Mia in an undesirable predicament which has only compounded her situation. I adore Killian who is Mia's older brother Antonio's second in command. Now this man is one serious dream boat who notices Mia and does his best to make her feel good about herself. Killian has a kind heart, he is loyal and honest, and he has aspirations of bettering his life. Killian loves his Mom with his whole heart making sure she is taken care of without question. Giulia who is the matriarch of the Moretti family is the one character whom I have spent more time not liking than any other character throughout this series. Alright, that is not true because Franco was the worst of the worst. Giulia has once again managed to be at the top of my dislike meter. For the most part I liked Antonio, but he had a few moments where he became unlikable in my eyes. Killian and Mia were absolutely perfect together, they share a sweet relationship, they respect one another and I absolutely adored them making these two my new favorite couple. I have mixed feelings going into the seventh book of this series as I believe this will be Lucia's book and she is my least favorite Moretti child. But, I will keep an open mind and trust Ivy to deliver another book that will win me over.

It is once again time for another Moretti Mafia Princess to enter into an arranged marriage that will benefit the family. Too bad Mia is the least popular Moretti sister after Cecelia deviated from the process in which mafia marriages are traditionally arranged. Not only that Mia is not considered a beauty compared to her older sisters. The one man who can see Mia's true beauty and makes an effort to ensure she feels special is the one man Giulia is against marring her daughter. Killian would make the perfect husband for Mia if he can just get Antonio and Mia to agree to the match. With Mia's impending wedding set to take place in the near future tensions are still at an all time high. Things aren't working in Killian's favor to take down Patrick who is the Irish Mafia Mob Boss. It is taking longer than expected and Killian needs to prove his worth to Giulia so he can receive her approval to marry Mia. As with any relationship these two will face hardships along the way that will challenge their future of finding a happily ever after.

What I liked- Killian. It great to see him finally get his book; I’ve enjoyed him in the last two books and felt he was woefully underutilized in them. He’s funny with Giulia and though she’s a bigot (because he’s Irish), he never disrespects her. He’s kind to Mia from day one, and is even good with poor, horrible Lucia (poor Lucia; I can understand why she’s so awful, but she’s still a s/not monster). I also liked Mia. Her feelings were so realistic. This is almost a New Adult novel because she’s so young and in many ways naive. But she has layers. And she grew over the course of the book. This book is one of the better ones in the series and I was so happy, because after the previous two books (which were not as good), it was nice to see that the author got their groove back.
Other thoughts- I do not like Giulia. I have never liked her, and, to add the cherry on top, she’s a bigot. I know terrible things have happened to her, and I feel terrible for her, but she’s still awful. That being said, she has truly become a fascinating character over the last two books. She is trying to be a good mother, and she does work through her prejudice to make an exception for Killian. She is a product of her upbringing and her culture, but she has really tried with Cecilia and Mia. Last book, she tended to favor Lucia over Luca (which was interesting because she favored her elder son over her daughters), but she had more patience with both the twins this book.
What I didn’t like- the Mob and Mafia side of things seems pretty simplistic; gather a paid crew, unalive bad guys, suddenly end up in charge. And you see the secondary bad guy coming from so far away that it’s as if he sent a telegram announcing his arrival. The book title is a bit silly as well, although I can imagine that at this point, the author is running out of cool words to pair with “union”.
Verdict- overall, this was a good book, and an entertaining entry in the series. I liked it.

We continue in the Moretti family as they continue to marry off the daughters to those who will make their family stronger. Next up is Mia – she was the original baby of the family until the twins came along. She was always the spoiled one and due to her older sister’s marriage to the bodyguard, her prospects have gone down! She is very insecure in her looks and feels like her sisters are the better options. Killian is a friend of her brother Antonio (boss of the family) and happens to be Irish and not in charge of his own “mob”. Killian is not liked very much by Mia’s mother and she makes sure he is aware every time he comes over.

When it seems there is no suitor for Mia, Killian (who does like Mia) decides he wants to marry her – not only to help him politically, but also because he genuinely likes her. Mia finds it very hard for Killian to really like her, but goes ahead with the marriage anyway. When out in public, the mafia men tend to laugh and say some mean things when Mia is around, and Killian stands up for her. Killian has to kill 3 of Antoinio’s men when they try to r@pe Mia. Antonio is pissed, and decides he will deal with Killian later. During all of this, Killian is trying to take down Patrick (the Irish Mob Boss), when tragedy strikes at Killian’s mom’s funeral, Mia loses it on her family and her brother in front of his men because they should have been there to support him.

Hardships, insecurities, tragedy, awareness and passion made it very hard to put this book down. I look forward to the next book in the series. Will it be Lucia’s turn to find a husband? She was the biggest brat of them all and I think she is in for a rude awakening and maybe finding out the truth.

This is the 6th story in The Moretti Mafia Series where we get the journey of Mia getting married and finding unconditional love. Mia is feeling the fallout from her sister’s need to run away with their bodyguard, Theo and marrying him against the Don her brother, Antonio. Finding an Italian man is impossible so the men who say they are interested only make one demeaning comment after another about Mia when it’s not her who broke the rules. Killian is Antonio’s 2nd in command who is working towards becoming the leader of the Irish Mob shows Mia kindness when he sees her. Mia is very hard on herself by putting her beauty down compared to each of her other sisters leaving her with little to no self esteem. Killian realizes with his mother’s declining health he wants to find love and sees Mia as the one he wants to marry. They come together beautifully even with the struggle to get her mother to approve. When Patrick the current Irish mob boss comes after Killian in the most horrific way Mia’s family shows their support of Killian and Mia! Can’t wait to see how Luca and Lucia find their way into adulthood and love! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Mia Moretti’s story is here and it was a doozy! I absolutely adored Mia — she is incredibly relatable, with her self-doubts and the pressure she feels to make a good marriage, especially in the shadow of her sister Cecilia's scandalous actions. This aspect of the story really makes you feel for Mia, as she unfairly bears the brunt of her sister's mistakes.

The character of Killian Brennan adds a captivating twist to the tale. As the second-in-command to mafia boss Antonio Moretti, Killian's role in the ruthless mafia world is contrasted by his unexpected depth of character and kindness. It's touching how he sees and values Mia for exactly who she is, particularly those parts of herself she's most unsure about. The tension in the story is ramped up by Mia's mother's disapproval of Killian, making their relationship even more intriguing.

Overall, the story is quite sweet and enjoyable. The author does a great job blending the darker mafia elements with the genuine, heartfelt romance between Mia and Killian, creating a story that's both exciting and emotionally rich. The spice was also impeccable!.

In the previous book and the scandal that took place with Cecilia and Theo has made it more difficult for Mia and future prospects in marriage. Mia is now grown and as a member of the Moretti family it is her duty to wed someone respectable in order to make the family stronger. The only problem with that is now all prospects are looking at Mia differently and treating her like she is nothing, except for Killian. Killian is wanting to be the top dog in the Irish mafia and in order to do so he has steps he needs to take and when he sees the struggles Mia is going through he decides to step up. Mia has a lot of insecurities that eat away at her and when Killian steps in he tries to show her how wrong she is about herself but it will take time. With a lot of action and those after Killian there is a lot of danger but Mia finds her backbone and takes a stand with her husband, but will anyone listen? This was a great read because my heart hurt for Mia and I completely understood how she could feel so down and angry towards Cecilia. I loved how Killian was the one to step up and the bond he had with his mother. Together these two are great for each other they just have to figure out a way to navigate this new territory and hope they have some people on their side.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Mia and Killian are super cute together in this book. Mia is the second to you gest daughter in her family that is trying to step out of the shadow of her older sister's transgressions, but seems to be unable. It doesn't help that I in her opinion she feels as of she's not as beautiful as her sisters and never will be. Plus any match that her family tries to set her up with didn't seem to be a fit.

Killian is Antonio friend, Mia's older brother. Having helped Antonio take back their family's power, he's on the path to take over the Irish mob and eliminate the boss, Patrick. On top of that, he had his sick mother to take care of. Because he's never wanted to cause any trouble, he's never recorded that he finds Mia attractive, until he's at a family dinner. Fast forward, after agreeing, Mia and Killian start to plan their wedding, then their life together.

What I liked about the story is that the disagreements they had they resolved it by talking and compromising. The character depth is there, and you get a great sense of who they are at their core. There are some typos throughout, but nothing that's distracting from the story.

I loved every minute of this book! Killian has made some appearances in the other books and we've witnessed his attention towards Mia and now that she is looking for a husband he is hoping to fill the gap. Mia is cute and he enjoys everything about her but Mia is insecure and is still feeling the backlash of Cecilia running off with Theo. Mia is also different in features from her sisters and the mafia men are too eager to remind her. She can't believe Killian would want to marry her but when she finally opens her heart up to that possibility it is so beautiful and fulfilling.

Killian will protect Mia with everything he has and he will not let anyone disrespect her or put her down in anyway. Antonio is happy with the arrangement but some crazy stuff goes down and he has to figure it all out without jeopardizing his empire.

This story is exciting and a fun read. I've been waiting for Mia's story and I love that she ended up with Killian. You will find this story entertaining and heartfelt. Not as spicy as some of the other books in this series but it's a great read! Happy Reading!!.

Wow, little Mia. I would have never expected her story to be like this, but I’m glad it is favorite. Mia and Killian story really got me hooked from the start. I was surprised I read this book in one day. Their story is so unique you can’t help but want to Roth for them as a couple. Being rejected is no fun at all and when you have a mom that’s finally coming into her own it’s truly hard to know what direction to go in. I love that Killian was always there for Mia. He is the strength she needed but always questioned. As for mommy dearest she means well but just needs to let Mia be Mia. As for Killian he is a powerful man that has been broken for sometime. I love that he has found Mia an innocent question turned out to be what Mia and Killian needed. No ever said love was easy it’s work I lave to say Mia finally realizing her strength and taking charge is the courage Killian needed to secure their future.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

Mia is the 6th child in the Moretti family. It is her turn to marry. However with all of the problems Cecelia caused, Mia is now not getting the best choice of suitors. Killian Brennan is Antonio's right hand man. He helped him come back to power. He is Irish and is someone Mama Moretti does not even allow in the house for this reason alone.

I have loved Killian throughout the series. He has always seemed happy go lucky. I love the way he steps up for Mia. He never gets angry at Guilia, when she mistreats him for only being Irish. I with every book she gets a little bit more of a redeeming quality but then she blows it. Once again I want to strangle Guilia. Butt out! I loved watching Mia grow up.

The Irish mob comes after Killian. The Moretti's now have to stand behind Killian light he stood behind them. The book is a fast read and it held my attention. I enjoy watching all of the Moretti's grow up. Six kids down and two left.

This book proves to be a riveting and emotionally charged addition to the Moretti Mafia series. It's not just intense but also manages to tug at the heartstrings, evoking tears at one point. The love story between Mia and Killian, eagerly awaited, unfolds in an amazing manner, making it a highly recommended read. I'm eagerly anticipating Ivy Davis's next compelling book.

The journey of each Moretti child into adulthood has been nothing short of a wild ride. Some characters have resonated with me more than others, and the narrative offers a dynamic mix of action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, unexpected twists, enemies, survival challenges, intrigue, humor, mystery, and secrets. Amidst all the emotional layers, Mia and Killian's relationship shines, adding a super cute dynamic to the story. This book is a rollercoaster of feelings, delivering a satisfying blend of family, friendships, surprises, and, of course, a dash of humor.

Innocent Union is a steamy, opposites-attract, girl gets her brother's best friend, mafia romance. Mia Moretti is the 20 year old sister of Antonio Moretti, the leader of the Italian Mafia. She has always felt like the ordinary wallflower in her family. Killian Brennan is a hunky Irish mobster with a heart of gold and is good friends with Antonio. Mia's mother is looking to find a strong Italian marriage match for Mia, but due to some family issues, no one wants to marry her. Killian finds her attractive and wants to marry her. He likes her, and it would strengthen his alliance with Antonio if he becomes the leader of the Irish mafia. Mia seems to feel she is ugly and unworthy of love. Can Killian show her she's wrong? This really was a sweet love story (with a lot of mafia violence, lol). The chemistry was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥 and the way these two stood up for and supported each other was amazing. We ended on a happy note but would love more of a glimpse into their future.

This is the sixth book in the Moretti Mafia family series and is Mia & Killian story. Her mom wants her to marry a good Italian man. This is proving difficult because of what happened with her sister, Cecelia's marriage and Mia is being associated with her sister. Killian is her brother's second in command though he is about to strike out on his own and take over the Irish mob. Mia has many insecurities because she is not the blonde bombshell like her sister. She is always comparing herself to them and can't see her own beauty. When Killian says he wants to marry her, her mom blows a gasket, and she can't understand how Killian would want her. At the same time Killian is dealing with an ill mother and the Irish mob leader coming after him. Leads to an interesting story that keeps you reading to the end to see if they will get their HEA.

Was it better than the last book? Yes. Did I say I wasn't going to read it? Also yes. Did I read it anyway? Yes. Did I enjoy it, kind of? Killian and Mia had the potential for such a sweet story, a redemption for Mia's mother in what has been a trainwreck of a character for her throughout this series. Kiliian's mother, who is dying of breast cancer;, Antonio, who was a piece of trash in the previous book and was a complete 180 of the person he was in his own book; Cecelia, who all of a sudden was mean Theo, who suddenly was rude, there was so much that could have been and then there wasn't.
The author is just writing these books so fast that there isn't enough time for story and character development; there clearly isn't enough time for research. When writing about the mafia, some research should take place as to the ins and outs of customs and funerals, for instance.
Maybe this series is being written by Chatgpt, and that's why it feels so robotic and cold.

🌟🌟ONE RIVETING ADVENTURE🌟🌟
Blazing bullets Ben! Ivy reaches deep into the dark, dark tangled web of the universe, bestowing this hard-hitting, nail-biting, page-flipping, rock-our-world, block-busting bombshell. A churning edy teeming with captivating drama, alarming intrigue, hair-raising danger, arresting suspense and unnerving situations loom as the underlying currents, brutal tactics and harsh lessons run in tandem, playing them off one another flawlessly. Our cast of characters are authentically distinctive and thoroughly genuine with perceptible natures and engaging attributes, molding into realistic personalities, playing off of one another brilliantly. The scenarios are spot-on realistic and vividly picturesque, while graphically depicted, portraying excellent world-building insight, bringing every scene to life spectacularly. Fabulous job Ivy, thanks for sharing this amazing treat with us.

Mia Moretti's story was such a breath of fresh air and I loved each and every page turn. She ends up in a pickle as she is labeled "damaged goods" through no fault of her own and the choices for a good marriage prospect seem nil. Killian Brennan, Antonio Moretti's second in command immediately sees something in Mia but thanks to Mother Moretti, he is viewed as nothing but Irish trash and is dead set on him being involved with her daughter Mia or their family beyond on his duty to Antonio. This story is about these two coming into their own as they learn that separate, they aren't much but as a duo, they are a force to reckon with. I would love to see one more book in this series to let us know how Lucia and Luca's stories turn out. Please Ms. Davis!.

Rise of a New Don

Killian has suffered great losses in his life. He now knows who his target is, he needs to enlist a group of loyal soldiers to back him up which is proving difficult. Mia is the next young lady who’s in line to get married but with her sister, Cecilia, marrying her bodyguard for love, Mia’s candidates are all duds. When Killian steps forward, Mia is skeptical & doubtful his words are truthful. Her self-esteem is low so she needs a boost to be stronger as a Don’s wife.

With his personal life front & centre, more is focused on that until he is forced to put it aside & to join forces with Mia’s brother, Antonio, to kill Patrick, another Don. He’ll need to kill Patrick with his own hands to get his revenge, in order to rise up & take his rightful place with Mia beside him.

Innocent Union is Mia and Killians yummy, arranged marriage story and is book 6 in The Moretti Mafia series. Mia is the "OG" youngest Moretti and seems to be the one who's always on the receiving end of crap. But, when she's finally had enough, she's had enough. Killian is Antonio's best friend and second in command. These two seem to be an unlikely couple but let me tell you, that's the furthest thing from the truth. They couldn't be more perfect for each other. Their story runs a gamut of emotions but it's fantastic to watch Mia come into her own. The growth of her character is something to see. Killian is a huge part of that growth and helps tremendously with her self esteem. I enjoyed their journey and look forward to what's next from this author.

Mia is paying the price for her sister's choices, she married her bodyguard. Now no one want to marry her thinking she is no different from her sister. Except Killian he is the only one that treats her with respect. For whatever reason, her mother seems to hate him even though he is friends with her brother. When he offers to marry her, she thinks he is just being nice but she comes to find out he is serious.

I like this book, at first Mia is kind of whiney, wanting everything her way. Killian kind of spread thin with trying to oust the head of the Irish mob, and his mother dying from cancer. There is danger at every turn but with both of working together they can overcome everything.

Mia Moretti had been the coddled baby of the family, until her father's death when she was eight, sent the family into turmoil. Subsequent events made Mia withdraw into herself, feeling inadequate. She has come of age to marry, but her chances are ruined by her sister's rash behavior. Her only chance to marry comes from her brother's friend Killian, who her mother distrusts.

I really liked this latest book in the Moretti Mafia series. Mia and Killian learn to stand together, be patient, and find compromises to overcome the challenges that they face. After that they finally can have the love and family that they both hoped for.

It was time for Mia To get married, but all the men wanted to say that she was not as pretty as her sisters, and who would wanna marry her Killian said he would marry her, but her mom didn’t like him because he was Irish he was close friends with her brother. Killian was out to prove that he could take down Patrick and be mafia boss, and a good wife to Mia..His mother was sick and wanted to have the wedding at the hospital. It took a little while to get Mia to agree.. so they had a wedding at the hospital and then later had a wedding at a venue. There was a lot of action going on with the killing of some people and the taking down of Patrick but I think you’ll love the story how the ugly girl gets the man.

Book 4 ⭐️
Spice 3 ⭐️

To start off, I will say that there are some triggers in this book although there isn't a warning pertaining to them. They include SA, almost SA, violence, and erotic content.

This was such a sweet and gripping book. I could really relate to Mia in this book in some ways. She is of an Italian mafia family and is unfortunately being forced into an arranged marriage and it isn't going well with suitors. That is until she meets the right guy who happens to be her brother's friend. There's a lot of chaos and pain that ensues upon the pages of this book and you can feel the emotions the characters portray.

I've Loved Killian since Antonio's book. He's loyal, intelligent, kind and super hot. I never had an issue with Mia until this book. I felt sorry for her in the beginning because of all the heat she was getting and all the negative comments. Then I got extremely angry with her towards the middle because she came so selfish. She did redeem herself again. I know that Giulia has suffered a lot but the way she treated Killian makes it hard for me to forgive her. I still don't like Amanda Antonio has turned into.

Mia's marriage prospects had dwindled after the scandal with her sister Cecilia and bodyguard Theo. But there was only one man Mia had been drawn too Killian, her brothers new ally, second in command and friend, but he's Irish and her mother doesn't like him. Killian has plans bigger than being Antonios second he wants the Irish mafia for his own, and with his ailing mother's health she wants to see him married, but do they stand a chance together? Well written, steamy, desires, action, emotions and more a great addition to the series
