I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Jebediah (Jeb) Torres was a SEAL and is now a Keeper with Lighthouse Security Investigation West Coast. Skylar White is a highly trained computer programmer in cyber security. Jeb and Skylar grew up together in a foster home . The name Jebediah means beloved friend . That's what Jeb was to Skylar. They were each other's best friend growing up in the foster home but due to teenager emotional turmoil and wrongful assumptions that Skylar lied to him, Jeb walked out of Skylar's life at eighteen . Both thought they'd never see each other again . They both went on to forge their own paths in life and discover who they are meant to be. When Skylar needed help in escaping her situation, she made contact the only way she knew how by hacking into LSIWC programs and leaving hidden eggs hoping Jeb would see them and help her escape. The very first page of the book , you are thrown into suspense as you are inside the middle of an active mission the Keepers are on. What they find shocks Jeb and will change his life forever. The ending of the book is just as suspenseful and will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Also at the end in addition you learn some secrets about all the Keepers as well as get a glimpse of Maryann's new series coming. This story is filled with forgiveness, healing, reconnecting, corruption, action, suspense, flashbacks, understanding, and surprises.

I adored this second chance, romantic suspense story! Skylar is an amazing heroine who really finds a way to instigate her own rescue!

With as many books as Maryann Jordan has written, how she manages to makes each and every book seem new and fresh, yet a continuation of the previous book is a mystery. A magical and beautiful mystery.
This is a stunning addition to the Lighthouse Security Investigations, West Coast series. Just when you think Maryann’s writing can’t possibly get any better she goes and proves you so wrong by delivering such a heartfelt emotional rollercoaster of a story that will sweep you off your feet and take you on the ride of your life.
Jeb and Skylar’s story is packed full of depth and emotion. It literally knocks you on your backside as the maelstrom of feelings slip easily from the pages of this wonderful book and weave their way around you, pulling you into an unparalleled world you never want to leave.
Jeb is a definite alpha protector. He’s dedicated his life to protecting those who cannot protect themselves. He’s an integral part of the brotherhood, he’s calm and methodical in an arena of chaos, the calm in the storm. He’s an awe inspiring character and thoroughly delicious.
He fought hand and nail to become the man he is today. He’d become a man to be proud of after the pain and grief from his childhood. A man more than worthy of the one person who completed him but too young to understand at the time. Jeb suffered what no child should have to suffer but he didn’t let that stop him. He used it as inspiration and determination to make something of his life and for that I gave him my heart.
Skylar is a woman who had faced the worst life had to offer as a child and is living the consequences. She became an introvert, relying on herself because she knew from her past and experience that people let you down or leave. Including the boy she gave her heart to. A childhood misunderstanding led to an incomplete life for years.
I understand and can empathise fully with Skylar, I’ve been let down a lot in my life and as a result I rely on myself because it’s ingrained in me that people let you down. I totally get feeling of euphoria at being included and that I matter because I’m seeing a twisted situation through my rose coloured glasses. Been there and done that.
My heart bled for this woman, this beautiful caring woman who needs to be seen and loved for exactly who she is. A truly beautiful soul.
Watching Jeb and Skylar come together was so heartachingly beautiful it took my breath away.
Their bond and chemistry strong and true and waiting for them to pick up where they left off years previously.
Utterly superb read. Mind blowingly emotional and absolutely unmissable.
Cannot recommend Maryann or her books highly enough.

This is book nine in The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series and it is Jeb and Skylar’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Jeb and Skylar have history together because they were both in the same foster home and that is were there bond of friendship started but then they lost touch and both regretted not keeping there friendship going because life got in the way. Jeb used to be a navy seal but now he works for LSI West Coast and as a computer expert he was annoyed when there computer systems kept getting interfered with and as soon as they found out where the signal was coming from it was decided that Jeb and some other keepers would go there and investigate the person responsible so when they found out that it was coming from a small inhabited island off the Canadian Coast they let and started to close in on the target with a silent approach. When they get there Jeb has the shock of his life when he finds a blast from his past standing in front of him and then they find out that she is in grave danger. Skylar knew that she was in trouble when she was abandoned on a island with no way off by the person who was using her which she didn’t realise until it was too late so she collected all the information that she could while protecting herself and they found a way to contact Jeb hoping that he could help her. When Jeb and Skylar meet again after so many years all the feelings that they had was still as strong as ever but with danger surrounding them they need to find a way off the island without being detected and then use all the information that Skylar had got to take down and eliminate the threat in time so that they can not only save Skylar and bring the person responsible to justice but also hope that if they manage to do this it will hopefully give Jeb and Skylar the happiness and future that they both deserve after everything that they have both been through in their lives. Wow this book certainly takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and my heart broke for everything that Jeb and Skylar had been through but they certainly came out of it a lot stronger and I am really happy that they found each other again after so many years apart. I couldn’t put this book down as the storyline pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and I read it in one sitting because it was so addictive and a action packed read. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed.

New...yet hauntingly familiar
Jeb's world is rocked as time flashes and he is stuck in an intriguing mix of past and present. Skylar may not be the same young girl he left behind, but so much of that girl remains in the woman before him. It is heartbreaking to see the guilt and regret that both Jeb and Skylar wrestle with when it comes to that parting, but their emotional insecurities and young age got the better of them. They now have maturity and an adult's knowledge of just how cruel the world can be, that helps to put the past into perspective. But nothing prepares them for the rush of feelings that never disappeared, they were just buried under the guilt and regret. Seeing them get a second chance, even under the horrific and dangerous circumstances they find themselves in, is really heartwarming and beautiful. They finally manage to forgive themselves and each other for the poor decisions made as kids, for the judgements of situations they didn't understand and for allowing the guilt to keep them apart for years.
Skylar proves she is Jeb's equal and perfect partner in every way as she faces her fears and fights back the only way she knows how....with her keyboard.
I look forward to the new LSI spin off series, we meet Logan here and it seems he already fits in perfectly with the Keepers!

Starting Jeb, she has taken another direction of telling his and Skylar’s second chance friends story by giving a glimpse of how they met - lived past to present and how they were able to get back together after not hearing from each other in a decade.
Their story had me from the first page, emotions from wondering what they were getting into, why and what it was on an island that was deserted? Who was messing with their communication @LSI-West Coast. Then the angst Jeb and Skylar looked at each other the first time in years.
This book is so compelling that I couldn’t put down❤️
This is how even though Jeb is the last keeper in the West Coast LSI, it definitely isn’t the end of Lighthouse Security Investigation… Maryann has left a glimpse of Mace and Carson getting LSI -Northwestern (Montana) in the coming days🤩

We are back with LSI west coast and I had mixed feelings going in, sad knowing this was the last nook in a fantastic series, yet excited to find out more about Jeb. Fear not though as there were links in this book to the first LSI Montana book which is coming soon.
This book starts mid mission for our guys and a surprise for Jeb. Skylar and Jeb have shared memories form their childhoods and their connection was soon rekindled and was a thing of beauty to watch unfold.
With the usual villain and nefarious deeds to be overcome who better that the LSI guys and their women to help?
Skylar is no mere damsel in distress though, she is just as involved in overcoming the perils and is clearly going to fit in well with the LSI crew.
Ultimately, this ended the series perfectly; we got to see more of the characters we met in previous books, and I am sure there will be hints of them in future books. We also see more of Logan and I look forward to seeing more of him in the first book in the new LSI Montana series.

When Jeb and his team finally figure out that someone has been messing with their computers, they head out to a small island to confront the hacker. To his surprise, the person behind it all is someone from Jeb’s past, Skylar, a girl he grew up with and has lost touch since he joined the Navy. Skylar is in trouble and the only person she trusts is Jeb, the boy she grew up with, and even though it’s been years since they last spoke, he’s the only one who has ever mattered to her. Jeb and Skylar have a lot to reconcile over but her life is in danger and that is the most important obstacle they have to get through first.
A great read with suspense, second chances, steam, and great characters that had me flipping the pages from the get go. I loved these two, even though apart for many years, they never forgot about each other, they were each other’s first love and now as adults and more mature are able to navigate their connection and reunion perfectly. Loved the no drama between them and the glimpses of their past as children…Jeb the protector even as a young boy who grew up to Keeper.

Okay, so if you’re into romantic suspense with a big dose of action, loyalty, and swoon-worthy heroes, then this series is basically like binge-watching your favorite action-drama TV show … but in book form.
Maryann Jordan gives us a crew of ex-SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, and other elite badasses who now run a top-tier security and investigations company on the West Coast. Each book focuses in on a different team member, so you get a fresh romance with each separate instalment, but with the same tight-knit “found family” vibe running through the whole collection.
With plenty of danger, mystery, and high-stakes missions - mixed with tender, slow-burn (or sometimes fast-burn) romance/s. And the chemistry between the couples feels natural, while the banter is fun without being too cheesy.
It’s the kind of series where you finish one book and immediately want to jump into the next. And honestly, the mix of adrenaline and heart makes it quite addictive.

This time, the story belongs to Keeper Jeb Torres . When he was 11 he lost his family and ended up in foster care. There he met 10 year old Skylar White. A sweet, tiny girl that became his best friend, and also acted as her protector. But angry words were said when Jeb enlisted never expecting to see each other again.
Twenty years later when Skylar, now a wiz computer programmer, needs help, she manages to contact him.
From that moment on, the story takes the readers on a rollercoaster ride that is filled with action, and bad guys. But it’s also more than that. At times heartbreaking as well as heartwarming story, the story is about second chances and new beginnings in life and love.

Jeb, a LSIWC employee and former Navy SEAL is a product of the foster care system. He was lucky to be placed with a nice family. Now on a LSIWC mission he is shocked to find his former BF Skylar as the person who drew LSIWC into this mission. We learn so much about the love and friendship they found as foster children together until Jeb left for boot camp under less-than-optimal circumstances. Now all those years later it is up to Jeb to help keep Skylar safe and extricate her from a terrible situation. With maturity and life experiences behind them is it the right time for them to try to be more than best friends?
I really enjoyed the “flash back” style for this book. It allowed the reader to understand Jeb and Skylar better, the trauma they experienced as children, their special childhood relationship and what the future could bring for them as adults. The mystery was interesting with some twists and just enough angst. Jeb and Skylar’s story was unique and so special. A great addition to the LSIWC series!

Jeb is the latest LSIWC by Maryann Jordan and I could not put down Jeb and Skylar! We begin with Jeb and some fellow keepers going to an island to find the person who had hacked their systems. What they find shocks Jeb when he recognize Skylar as the person who they were looking for. When she told her story, my heart broke for her. As the keepers figure out how to help her, Jeb stays behind and we begin to see flashbacks of how they met through the last time they saw each other. As they begin to connect, you see the strength of the friendship they had and it was so sad to hear the reasons they parted. Before they can get their HEA, the danger to Skylar captures her once more and Jeb and the keepers have to race to save her. Of course, she has a “partner” and her past that enables her take her rescue in her own hands. Jeb will grab you from the start and you won’t be able to put it down until the end. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.

Another great read in this wonderful series Jebidiah (Jeb) Torres is a retired Seal who now works for the Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast he is their main computer guy and it is really pushing his buttons that someone is interfering with said systems nothing that puts anyone in danger but annoying but he has finally tracked down where it is coming from. What he doesn't expect is a blast from his past Skylar was his best friend at the foster home he went to after his parents were killed and they were each other's best friend for years But a misunderstanding as Jeb was about to leave for the Navy meant they lost contact with one another Now Skylar who is also a talented computer hacker is in danger and she used her skills to try to contact Jeb for help not expecting him on her doorstep Can they get her out of her situation can they bring down a team of arms dealers but most of all can they finally admit how they feel about one another

I absolutely adore Jeb & Skylar's story. This book starts out with some of the LSIWC guys finally tracking down the person who has been interfering with their systems. When they go to confront the person, they find out it is someone from Jeb's past.
When Skylar is explaining why she did what she did, the LSIWC crew learns just how much danger she really is in. Jeb & Skylar are able to talk about the past & get a little more information about the choices they made when they were younger. In trying to remove the danger surrounding Skylar, the person who is actually behind this is finally revealed & it was a twist I was not expecting.
This book has lots of suspense, danger, romance, and plenty of emotions that you can almost emphasize with. This book was the perfect addition to the LSIWC series & and introduces a character who will be part of the next set of keepers. I highly recommend this book as you will not be disappointed.

When Jeb finally gets a location lock for the suspected hacker he never expects to find a piece of his past when he and his fellow Keepers raid the isolated island. Skylar White is an extremely talented computer programmer, she also shares a past with Jeb, one he walked away from at 18.
It’s an emotional love story that takes you on a heartfelt journey of second chances, misunderstandings, intrigue and feelings that never went away. What an amazing series the LSI West Coast books have been. I couldn't wait to read Jeb but was so sad this series would be ending.
This is the story of Jeb (a former SEAL and current Keeper) and Skylar (a Cyber Security Expert). There story began when they were younger and lived in the same foster home but their story starts when they are older and are just reconnecting. I loved the first chapter and how we get to see the two main characters meet again. And while there are some flashback chapters that occur, these instances did not interrupt the flow of the book and were necessary to give us Jeb and Skylar's full history.
While I am sad this is the last book in the series I loved the hints dropped of the next round of LSI Keepers. As always, in my opinion this book could be read as a standalone. Another 5 Star read from Maryann.

You're going to love Jeb, I promise. Maryann Jordan has the knack for creating the very best characters who are richly diverse, interesting, down-to-earth and complex. In the case of Jeb and Skyler this is an intriguing second chance romance. They shared a common bond as foster children; loneliness. They became best friends but as often happens life came along and they went their separate ways. You'll love the way in which they're reunited and, how, in the intervening years they arrive to an unexpected reunuion because of who they've become. There's intrigue, suspense, corruption, manipulations, danger and of course wonderfully spicy romance. A great addition to the LSIWC series. As a bonus, Ms Jordan drops some broad hints about the next series offshoot. I can't wait!

Jeb and Skylar’s story is an exceptional book that explores how a young relationship can sometimes be lost but through other things happening may restore what was lost. Jeb is a Keeper who’s been frustrated at LSIWC with someone causing issues with the computer system. Little does he know that a mission will give him a shock when he discovers Skylar. You get a fantastic backstory from MaryAnn on the history between the two. You will not want to put this book down as you are drawn into this story. LSIWC books never let us down these men and women are truly KEEPERS that if you were ever in need of help you would want to have them come to your aid. MaryAnn another 5 star book. For the reader find a nice quiet spot and enjoy.

What an outstanding book! This story about Jeb and Skylar grabs you from the first chapter and doesn’t let go! Jeb works with LSIWC and begins to find little hints on his computer that is bothering him. Deciding it’s time to get to the bottom of this he and a few members of the team go to a remote island and there he discovers Skylar. Skylar and Jeb have history from being in foster families but lost touch when he joins the military. When LSIWC discovers how much trouble Skylar is in they rush in to assist. There is intrigue, suspense and a reunion of friendship. There is laughter, tears and a second chance. Will there be more? You don’t want to miss this book. Maryann Jordan your books never disappoint and are outstanding. 5+ stars.

I loved JEB . It's an outstanding suspense romance . Jeb Torres and Skylar White grew up together in a foster home . They became best friends till Jeb was leaving for the military and a secret of Skylar's pulled them apart almost thirteen years ago . Jeb and his lighthouse keepers are hunting the hacker that's been messing in their computers . Jeb is shocked to find on an uninhabited island the hacker is none other than Skylar and she's in danger and needs their help . While trying to stop the criminals and end the danger they find themselves fighting for their lives . I highly recommend taking the time to read . This story is outstanding . It's full of romance and suspense. All out sensational .

My new favorite couple is Jeb and Skylar. I love all the couples and characters that Maryann Jordan has brought us in the LSIWC series, but these two really captured my attention. How Skylar gets Jeb's attention after so many years and the trouble that she has found herself in make for very entertaining reading. From the very beginning you will be sucked into this one and won't be able to put it down until you know what happens. Just when you think everything is going well a twist comes that keeps everyone on their toes. I love how all the LSIWC players come together to help when one of their own's loved one is in trouble. This is my favorite series, and you won't be disappointed with the latest addition to it.

Jeb met Skylar when he got in foster care after his parents got killed in car accident when he was young. He met Skylar at the home they were place. They became best friends till he was getting ready to join the Navy. They argued and thirteen years later. After he left the Navy Seals he hired by Lighthouse Security Investigations. Someone was trying to hack into their computers. They found out where it was and a team went to investigate. When he went he saw Skylan alone. He stayed with her till she got it set it where the people who place her there would not know she left the island. She help with the investigation but she got kidnapped and Jeb rescued her
