Now the cat is out of the bag and pretty much everyone in Shipton Harbor knows about magic. What else can Ava do but silence them and keep them from telling the world?

Ava’s attempt to contain the revelation of magic in Shipton Harbor is nothing short of gripping chaos. Despite her best efforts, things spiral out of control in the most unexpected ways. The ending? Absolutely thrilling! I'm already counting down the days until the next installment.
Luci, you've got some competition! The anticipation for the next book is palpable. If you're in need of a quick, heartfelt read packed with newfound powers and delightful surprises, look no further. I'm eagerly awaiting the riotous adventures to come.
This series is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough! With its charming characters and the enchanting setting of Shipton Harbor, I'm fully invested. Here's to hoping for many more books to come—let the magic continue!
What the heck kind of circus is Shipton Harbor dealing with? I don’t have the first, faintest, foggiest clue, but it sure was entertaining to watch. New, untested abilities? Check. New creatures of myth and magic? Check, check. New family drama that leaves everyone going “WTF?” Abso-freaking-lutely. And one of those family dramas closed out this book and made me want to howl in frustration because I can’t start the next book immediately to find out the rest of that story. Oh well. The authors know they now have a captive audience in me. I NEED the next book, and I need it NOW! I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Ava and gang have a lot going on. Not only do they get called in to see the mayor to explain what the humans saw in the graveyard, but come up with a way to fix it. On top of that, none of them knew that not only was the mayor a super, but he is a founder of the town and a Nephilim to boot with phoenix powers.
While they are trying to fix the town, other strange occurrences start happening around town that people are seeing so they have to scramble to figure out who is causing the mayhem and stop it.
I truly love this series and cant wait to read what happens next!
I enjoy this paranormal series. I like the crossover between the books. Ava and gang are called into the mayor's office for happenings at the graveyard. They discover the mayor is a supernatural and is a Nephilim with phoenix powers. Strange happenings all over town that need to be fixed. New characters showing up and will they become part of the books or just pass thru one. What is the deal with the sphinx cat? Did Olivia just meet a half-brother? Now I have to wait for the next book to find out what is happening. Only took a day to read.
Good book; magic is exposed & how will the supernatural deal with this. Turns out the major is a supernatural too & been mayor of Shipton Harbor for several generations without anyone realising it. He immediately blames Imogene, a baby, for the statues coming to life (in the previous book). What a jerk!!! Another student for Rune Academy & the true trouble make though it wasn't his fault as his father never taught him; being AWOL. At the end 2 new characters; a spinx cat, which Lucy instantly dislikes, & a guy claiming Lucifer is his father. WTF!!! Can't wait for the next book.

Ava and her family have a new challenge: unexplained magical events are occurring and are observed by humans. The mayor, a phoenix shifter, is upset and challenges Ava and her coven to “do something about it”. Sam has an unexpected new power. Olivia has a family dinner where she tells her adoptive parents her whole lineage. Shock and awe! The unexplained magic is solved and Ava gets a new visitor - a sphinx cat. Then a lead-on to the next book….
Oh, my mind was blown in chapter one as Drew, Ava, Sam, and Olivia are summoned to the Mayor's office, and new information comes to light. We meet a young man in his late teens named Liam and his mother in this story. What do we learn? Oh my gosh, another bombshell right at the end of the story. Lucy-Fur has abandoned Ava's home with Lorane and Poe, while Snoozer has decided to stay. The reason why was a hoot! Enjoy the read.
All kinds of chaos breaks out in Shipton and every magical person works to figure out what is causing it as well as protecting the non-magical people from informing the wider world. I love the revelation of the existence of nephilim and phoenix shifters. I am also very curious about the sphinx cat. I loved this latest book in the series!
A Silenced Midlife is a fabulously magical addition to the Witching After Forty series and I loved it! From the quirky characters to the fun and magical storyline filled with suspense, humor, and so much more make this a great read. I can't wait to see what this talented author duo comes up with next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Great book; Magic is exposed & how will the supernatural deal with this. The mayor is a supernatural & he immediately blames Imogene, a BABY, for the statues coming to life. What a jerk!!! Another student for Rune Academy. At the end 2 new characters; a spinx & a guy claiming to be Lucifer's son. WTF?!?! Can't wait for the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved the cover. The story brings to light what was thought as myth. It was both informative and a bit comical as things kept happening.
Strange magical things are happening. Magic occurrences are happening in front of non magical people. Ava and the gang need to solve this quick. Funny and great characters. No cliffhanger.
ALWAYS FUN AND MAGICALLY ENTERTAINING. This series really is on the wild side, with a surprise around every corner, big or small you will not see it coming. I love these stories and recommend this writer for zany paranormal tales sure to keep you coming back. RECOMMENDED
This series never gets old. It is incredibly OTT and quirky, but this is what makes it's charm. Olivia and Ava are a great team, Luci is the icing on the cake. The invovlement of the whole town makes this one hilarious.
If you need a quick read this is the book for you. It’s a heartfelt story and new powers are coming to light. I can’t wait for the next one it should be a riot.
Things are not going smoothly for Ava and her friends as everyone learns magic exists. And of course in a hilarious way that causes chaos for all. Entertaining and fun to read. I laughed hard.
Things are going crazy around town and Ava and the Gang has been tasked to fix it. They also find out that Nephilim are real and the Mayor is one of them. Also that end twist had my mouth drop.
