The One I Want #2

Say It's Forever

Rate this book
I was suffocating under an avalanche of guilt and grief until he entered my life.

The hot, slightly older guy who looked like a cross between a tatted biker and a billionaire businessman.

Beck understood me, and our situation, in a way no one else could.

As a friend, he held me together and helped to piece back the shredded fragments of my heart.

I didn’t mean to fall in love with him—it just happened.

No one understands, least of all me.

Now my heart is split in two, and I don’t know what to do.

Is my first love my one true love? Or do I belong with the man who brought me to life?

This title was originally published (in part) as The One I Want, a stand-alone romance. It is now being rereleased as a duet with additional bonus content.

This author managed to leave me speechless all over again. I read this duet as a standalone last summer and I was left with a serious book hangover. In making this a duet and adding some new words, she topped herself again. This was a truly complicated story with many layers and amazing characters that were created & developed with passion and expertise. My emotions were ravaged, but I held on and trusted Siobhan Davis would bring me out the other side intact and better for it. You will fall in love with both men. You won't envy Stevie's struggles, but you will admire her fortitude, fire, and strength. Do not miss out on this journey. If you love romance in all its many forms, you will do yourself a disservice by not adding this story to your TBR. It is literary brilliance in the best of ways. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This took me too long to finish. I just… it’s better than the first. I actually felt chemistry between the characters but it just continued on and was not angsty enough or at all for me but just bland. I may be the only one that doesn’t love the way the writer writes. The intimate scene made me cringe, I skipped over all of them. I thought about not finishing several times but decided I had to and I’m not sure it was worth it. The concept was good but the relationships were too cheesy and not authentic, felt very flat.

Beautiful book!!

Wow!! This book takes you thru a journey of the good, the bad, and the plain ugly of life. Just when you think everything is good and nothing will happen, something happens. This book will have you emotions all of the place cause I know mine was. It was a beautiful journey of finding your peace, healing and finding who you were meant to be with.

I read one line per page - I kid you not, just to see where and how this ended. Again, the writing is just not very good.

Beck is basically Garrick on steroids (richer too). While I appreciate the premise as that’s worth something (def not cookie cutter), and it is potentially better than book 1, it’s still not very good.

I personally think it would have been better if she chose differently in the end… or better yet if she walked away from both of them. 😂

Say it’s forever (The one I want duet book 2)
By: Siobhan Davis

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Heartbreaking and beautiful!!!

Oh my book hangover! In this heartbreaking book the story is what I’d call a true love triangle with pain, want and often very confused love but love you might not doubt but I was still feeling angst along the way. You’ll find yourself not sure who needs your empathy and understanding more. But of course Siobhan pulled it off anyway because that’s her superpower! The authors ability to have separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: We thought we were forever, but fate had other plans…

I never intended to fall in love.

This girl had goals and guys were an unwelcome distraction.

Until I met Garrick, my sophomore year of college, and he blasted through the walls I kept around my heart, tearing them down.

He knew what he wanted, and he wanted me.

Falling hard and fast, I experienced the rollercoaster highs and lows of first love.

Until life threw us a curveball, and everything flipped overnight.

Stuck in a limbo state, I was falling apart while trying to be strong for my boyfriend.

Then he entered my life.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written with multiple POV’s one of my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I was gifted an ARC from the author for an honest review.

The conclusion of this book is perfect and the bonus scene’s amazing!📚💕

I can't say how much I cried reading this duet... 😭😭😭😭😭

I was also so excited about the love triangle part, and the question if anyone could ever top Garrick...
Like I said in my other review, the love between Garrick and Stevie is intense. But then there came Beck. Don't get me wrong, I loved Garrick, but I absolutely understand why it was so difficult for Stevie. Having two men you are so in love with. You love with every single fiber of your heart and soul. The love she felt for Beck wasn't one iota less intense than her love for Garrick.
Garrick and Beck have A LOT in common, not just their love for Stevie 😁 There are so many similarities. Both come from money, but neither is a prick.
Beck and Stevie started as friends, like it was with Garrick. Friends who experienced similar life events. My heart broke for both. But especially for Stevie. She had it really hard.

And don't let me start with Garrick's mom again. I already said I HATE this b... in my last review, but in this book, she got even worse. She made the worst things even more horrible for Stevie. Luckily, she had Beck, and also Hadley (her best friend) and Hudson (Garrick's best friend). Poor Hudson, seeing your best friend's girlfriend with another man... But he knew Stevie needed him. I don't want to think about something like that happening to me. NO! NO! NO!

Thank you for the second epilogue, it gave me a huge closure 🩷
You want to know which team I am? Beck.
Sorry, for every Garrick fan, but for me it's Beck 😎 I won't fight anyone about it, everyone can love/like what they want ✌️

Time Heals All

To start you have to read Say You’re Mine before you read Say it’s Forever. You get the whole back story between Stevie and Garrick. So this is a very emotional book to say the least. You will feel every emotion under the sun while reading this story. It will break your heart but you will be put back together again. I felt so much for Stevie in the this book. When she needed a friend who was an outsider the world brought her Beck. He was her best friend and he showed everyday why she wasn’t to blame. I love how these two were with one another. I hate the things they went through. Looking back and reflecting on the book I know they were made stronger for everything they endured. This shows that love does stand the test of time. This book is about first love, the unpredictable, finding love when you least expect it, hatred, sadness, healing. I wasn’t let down by this book and it has given me hope especially at a time in my life where I’m questioning why things happen to those we love. If you want to read a book that gives you all the feels and touches on sensitive subjects but opens your eyes. This is a great book to read. I absolutely loved it.

Emotional Rollercoaster…

Siobhan Davis has finally broken me with this one! My emotions and heart were all over the place. I am torn in my loyalties in this angsty, heartbreaking and soul crushing love triangle.

I wasn’t prepared for this! The first part of the book is dedicated to getting to know Stevie and Garrick. Garrick was so determined to get Stevie to let her walls down and to let him in. He won me over and I adored his character.

I was on the uphill part of the rollercoaster with butterflies in my stomach and I kept telling myself to be prepared cause something was coming. I got to the top seconds before being swept down at 100mph to the bottom broken. I was coasting for a bit when we meet Beck and I didn’t want to like him, my heart was still with Garrick but Beck was a true knight in shining armor. Helping Stevie through the worst time of her life.

I knew the rollercoaster ride wasn’t over because we started to climb uphill again with new emotions. Building the story piece by piece. I really had to stop a few times and step back because this book was breaking me. I had my tissues close at hand and powered through to the end.

I’m still torn in my loyalties even after everything is said and done. My heart is broken, it was ripped from my chest, thrown to the ground and mangled. I’m not sure the mush that was left will ever be the same. This book will stay with me for a very long time.

“Say it’s forever” is the concluding part of the “the one I want” duet.

“Say it’s forever” picks up where “say you’re mine” left off. Stevie is left devastated after the events from “say you’re mine” when Stevie meets Beck they have an instant connection, he understands her and helps mend her broken pieces. Beck is a loving and caring soul who becomes Stevie’s rock.

“Say you’re mine” and “say it’s forever” is a beautiful story about finding your first love and finding your forever love. This duet it’s packed full of angst and it’s one of the most emotional stories I’ve read by Siobhan davis yet.

Siobhan Davis brings me to my knees with every single story she writes. This duet was devastatingly beautiful and I devoured and savoured every single word. There is nothing that Siobhan davis can’t write and she always manages to make her stories not just special to the reader but also very powerful.

If you’re looking for a duet that will break your heart then slowly mend it back together then I highly suggest you read this phenomenal story! Please note that you must read “say you’re mine” before you read “say it’s forever”

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is part of a captivating duet that beautifully explores the tumultuous journey of love and self-discovery. With his unique blend of rugged and refined charm, Beck becomes a beacon of hope and understanding in the protagonist's life, helping to mend her broken heart. As unexpected feelings for Beck bloom amidst lingering ties to a past love, the story delves deep into the complexities of the heart's capacity for love. This emotionally charged narrative not only tugs at the heartstrings with its portrayal of love and loss but also celebrates the resilience of the human spirit in the face of life's unpredictable twists. It's a poignant exploration of the choices that define us and the love that can both shatter and heal.

Say It’s Forever is Siobhan Davis’s latest masterpiece. I am in awe of her writing. Her stories are always full of angst, passion, love, twists, love, and suspense. The characters all have their unique qualities and never the same. It’s truly amazing. I don’t want to spoil the story so I want get into it but I will say it’s one hell of a roller coaster for these three. I felt I was right there with Stevie. Falling in love twice. There for the heartaches and joys. The ups and downs. The twists and turns. Stevie is truly one of the strongest heroines I have read. Of course she doesn’t believe it but to me, it’s true. She had to make many life-changing decisions at such a young age. And to decide on who you want your forever with is the hardest kind of all…

This is one big book but it’s packed with love, angst and the promise of forever!

This romance is the twisted tale of finding love until fate decides to step in and turn the world of Stevie on its head. Can a person love two people equally? Is there only one great love? Those are the questions that Davis explores in this beautiful epic book romance!

I found myself feeling as if I was Stevie as she figured out what she wanted in life and what forever meant! Garrick and Beck were both equally great men! Both held Stevie’s heart in a different way and the fight for love was a battle unlike any other! I will not spoil the story but I will say that you need to be ready for a very emotionally gripping romance!

« 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘐’𝘮 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰 »

This book is Siobhan’s signature.. If I didn’t know she was the author , I would have guessed it easily.. because of all the life she puts in her books, she puts all her heart in her characters and story .. so you don’t have another choice but to bleed with them.

what can I say ? It’s beautiful, emotional, painful, full of hearts, love, guilt , so much guilt …
I knew it was a love-triangle , and I know Siobhan, so I tried super hard not to fall for these two amazing guys.. but I failed , of course I failed … but , I had my preference, and Siobhan didn’t let me down ..

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘶𝘴. 𝘚𝘰, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.

It wasn’t her most painful book to read in my opinion , yes it was super emotional, Stevie was amazing, her choices she needed to make were impossible… but even if it was hard , Siobhan could have cut us way more deeply than that , and to be honest after some reviews I was expecting something worse… (or maybe I read too many of her books and I’m used to it ..)

“𝘎𝘰𝘴𝘩, 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦, 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭. 𝘚𝘰 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭.”

if you are scared to read it because of the emotional nature of it , yes it’s painful to read sometimes, but if you are familiar with her works, it was, from my point of view, easily manageable.. so if you want a beautiful love story go for it.

Say It's Forever is the 2nd and final part in The One I Want duet and it is an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I absolutely recommend a box of tissues and comfort food. I was completely invested after having read Say You're Mine. I was also emotionally hungover by the end.....soooo much crying..... but the point I am trying to make is that Say It's Forever is a beautifully written, heartfelt and heart breaking story, filled with angst, guilt, healing, so much love and emotion that I just couldn't put it down.

When tragedy strikes, Stevie is an absolute mess, physically and emotionally. But with time, a lot of strength, resilience and support from her loved ones and new friends, she does come out the other side. Not unscathed but changed and for the better if you ask me. I personally prefer this Stevie to the one before.

I am forever hopeful that Hadley will get her story told somewhere down the track but until then I am looking forward to seeing what comes next!!!

The finale of stevies story!

I will admit I was a little annoyed with Stevie at the beginning of this story but her growth throughout shows her learning. Yeah she had to lose the one thing that had her heart but she figured her self out!

We’re all flawed and we all deal with things differently and poor Garrick things worked out how they were meant to.

Stevie got the guy who she was meant to be with. Life after a trauma like the one Stevie and Garrick went through is hard and unpredictable and Siobhan Davis handled the aftermath with care, grace and truth.

We also got two bonus scenes we catch a glimpse of the future and also a phone call that gives you all the emotional feels!

I cannot wait to see what Siobhan releases next.

The second book in the One I Want duet and what an emotional rollercoaster this duet has been. Say It’s Forever is the conclusion to the heroine Stevie’s journey to happiness and what a beautifully wonderful blend of heartbreak, pain and angst and ultimately of new beginnings and love it was as she confronts her feelings of grief and guilt. Siobhan Davis you may have broken our hearts with this duet but in a way that just made the ending all the more satisfying. This truly was a book that will leave you with a book hangover but it’s more than worth it.

Phenomenal!! Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster!

This is the second book in The One I Want Duet and to say this duet is epic is an understatement!

Both Garrick and Beck were great for Stevie for different reasons, the heartbreak and guilt Stevie went through you felt as if it was your own.
Siobhan doesn’t shy away from hard hitting themes and keeping it real and that’s what I love about her writing.
Get the tissues ready as you’re gonna need them for this phenomenal read - I absolutely would recommend. An easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me

Grab the tissues, pour the wine and keep the chocolate handy cause you will need them while reading this masterpiece!
Siobhan knows how to write such an amazing emotional story that captivates your heart and has you consumed to the very end.
We go through the rollercoaster that is Stevie's life. Her love with Garrick is sweet and romantic and just melts your heart. But after tragedy strikes Stevie is left broken. She meets Beck and their relationship just blooms. The love they have for each other just radiates off the page. I loved the story, the plot and twist and the whole family!! Definitely a 5 star read x

This author has a way of writing a story that makes the reader feel as if you are there with the characters and feeling their pain, angst, heartache, and guilt.

When I first started this book I wasn't sure I was going to like it...but that's just crazy how can you not like a Siobhan Davis book. However, I keep reading and before long I was in tears and loving every minute. At the heart of the book you have one stubborn girl, Stevie, who knows what she wants and is detemined to stay on track. However, she meets Garrick and she falls in love but is determined to follow her life plan. Fate does have a different plan and she meets Beck which spins her life in a different direction. But the time comes when she will have a difficult decision to make and I'm not sure her heart will be able to take it. Along the way Stevie has the help of some wonderful women in her life, her mother, Monica, her Nana, and Hadley, her best friend. These women are fiercly protective of Stevie and they were defintely a wonderful part of the story. This is a book everyone needs to read and bring your tissues you will need them. Can I just say I was totally #teambeck ❤️

I couldn’t stop reading since I had to know what would happen. It definitely put my emotions through the wringer! It made me crave some sweets as Stevie is a baker 🧁. I loved how each character took care of each other at some point in the story 😍

There are a set of chapters that just broke my heart. Sometimes less words offer more depth 😭. I like how the scenes weren’t rushed to really show the development and connection of each character.

I always get excited when characters from another book are mentioned. It had no relevance to the story but I am in love with the SD universe so I like her characters to co-exist 🫶🏼.

I want to preface this by saying that love triangles are not a trope I tend to like. They just never have been, and the why choose trope really drove that home for me. Siobhan Davis, however, is a must-read for me, and even if you feel as I do about love triangles, this is worth it.

This read is deeply emotional and makes you fall in love thoroughly with all three main characters. It flows so naturally that the triangle isn't the focus. This has so much angst, feelings, drama this meaty read will at times hurt but is worth the pain. Absolutely fantastic.

Siobhan knows how to break your heart.
When you think the story will go one way, it goes the exact opposite way and I felt so torn in two. I wanted it both ways and I could have it.

Stevie is so loyal to Garrick. She never leaves his side, but she can’t help when her heart pulls her in a second direction.

Garrick was so intense and his own kind of perfect. But Beck is just as intense and all kinds of perfection! Wow what a guy. His backstory, his way with Stevie. How can a girl choose between two amazing men?

I loved this story and these characters. Even if it rips your heart out and wrings out all your tears. Read with a box of tissues and make sure you don’t get interrupted.

And I really, really want Hadley to have her own book!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Love Triangle! Ahhhh. Okay let me grab some tissues wipe my tears and breathe. My heart just went through so much and I did not see this coming. We finish with Stevie being heartbroken and guilt ridden. But this was a whole other level. So many things happen. One night outside sitting on a bench changed her life forever. The course for our favorite people went like we never expected but it was everything too. We have Mr. Romance Hottie Beck, Mr. Handsome Singer Garret, and our Gorgeous Stevie. One woman two men. Who will be the one who claims her heart and be her forever. The love she has is so much but the position she is placed breaks your heart so much more. Grab tissues and be ready to cry but fall in love altogether. Everyone deserves a happily ever after. Now let’s see how everyone gets theirs.

It’s hard writing some reviews without spoilers and believe me this is one of them. To start with I have become a huge fan of this author and her books do not disappoint.
This book pick up right after the first. These books will tear your heart and and then mend it. The ending is perfect and I’m so glad I had the chance to grab both of these books.
