I’m not sure I trust the woman the boss is thinking about…it’s too convenient how she’s always around. But I ship the lady and her butler, so I’m hoping the secondary love interest for the boss works out for him. Unrequited love is the worst!
4, definitely going to be seeking out the next volume, stars.

This was a lot heavier than I expected based on title and summary, but it handles its dark themes well. Sooha's emotional and trust issues make perfect sense in context of her life experiences, and I also have to congratulate author Jade on doing an excellent job distinguishing between "asexual" and "sex averse." It's not that Sooha isn't attracted to others (men, in this case), but that she's had experiences that have taught her that it's a dangerous thing.
I can see a mile away what narrative they’re trying to do here with the ‘I’ll never be with a man’ ‘I’ll never date a man’ and I bet you she does fall for a man in the end 🫠
I went into this thinking it was going to be a comedy. There are some funny parts but this mostly centers around a bunch of adults who each have their very own load of problems.
The advertisement for the BL line in the back was perfect for the last page of the story😂. The story jumped around a lot. The story would suddenly cut to a completely different scene without a transition. I didn’t like the crying wolf SA plot line, especially since Korea has a big issue with men sa’ing women and don’t have any real consequences. They have an entire B4 movement going on it’s so bad there. It’s extremely rare for accusations to be false, but it’s so prevalent in stories. Her boss started treating her worse when she didn’t return his feelings. When she rejected him he called her a pig and asked her if she’s gay, and she thought he was a nice guy.

This manhwa should have a lot of trigger warnings as it talks about physical abuse, domestic abuse, trauma, and depression. I almost dropped this story because even though the couple is cute together, they are toxic. I do get that both of them have traumas, but they don't communicate properly. And even after they have wedded, there's still miscommunication between them. Both of them doesn't know how to comfort each other, and both of them have ego and still keep their walls high.

I genuinely like this book and I love how Sooha is because of her childhood. Her trauma she experienced is something people can relate to and seeing her slowly open up to Taesoo was interesting to see and I’m so excited to read more about their journey and how they blossom.

I didn’t necessarily love Sooha. She just seemed mean sometimes. I did love the idea of the story though! No romance in book one but I can see it on the horizon!
