I haven’t quite finished this book yet, however, I am a huge fan of Callaghan’s - particularly this Divine series - so I already know this will rate at 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 On Goodreads you can’t review a book until you’ve rated it (when using the app anyway. It may be different if you go online through a desktop version and not use app). I’m confident in my pre-rate.

If you like this series/book also, you should check out Callaghan’s “Made in Savannah” series. There’s even a Laverne-type character, but in MiS there “Laverne” is named Elvira. Both characters are very boisterous and have no tact or mental filter (I suppose that is what tact is). But both are also very smart asks unconventional. I can’t help but enjoy reading about them and I always wonder what they’ll say or do next!

I also like that this has angels that protect Jo’s farm that were get to see every so often because I like some magic and/or supernatural in my reads, yet there’s also a Christian element to it. This series has a sort of Little House on the Prairie feel to it, but in the current day society - so there is praying over meals, no drinking, no funny business between a man and a woman extending beyond kissing, hard work, plumbing (I did say I this has a Little House on the Prairie feel, but in today’s world. LHotP didn’t have indoor plumbing…)

This is truly a feel good series read and I am always happy while I’m reading it. It’s pure and clean. I like it so much that I quickly “gobble” this series books up and then feel sad when I’m done. I think I’ll pick up another one of Callaghan’s series because I’m sure it’ll feel just as nice as this one. ♥️

I have read Hope’s following books:

Garden Girls Cozy Mystery Series (23 books)
Garden Girls - The Golden Years Mystery Series (5 books)
Sweet Southern Sleuths Short Stories (12 books)
Made in Savannah Mystery Series (23 books)

The following by Hope Callaghan I haven’t read yet:

Easton Island Family Saga Series (10 books)
Millie’s Cruise Ship Mysteries (24 books)
Cruise Director Millie Mysteries (3 books)
Lack of Luxury Cozy Mystery Series (3 books)
Samantha Rite Mystery Series (3 books)

Since the ones I’ve already read have a bit of romance written in, I believe the five above will also include characters falling in love… in the midst of chaos and mystery!

I’d begin one of the above, but another book was just released in another series I follow, so my next choice read is by Amanda M. Lee:

“All Quiet on the Witchy Front (Wicked Witches of the Midwest Book 24)”. ⬅️ If you like magical mysteries, you’ll like this series ⬅️

All Good Things Must Come to an End...

Hope Callaghans twelve book series, Divine Mystery Series was an excellent read!! If you haven't read all the books start at the beginning and get involved in the lives of Joanna Pepperdine and her colleague/friend Delta as mystery after mystery unfold in Divine, Kansas the exact middle of the United States. Joanna felt called to buy a farm and become self sustainable by opening up a place where woman from a nearby prison after serving their sentence had a chance to live and work during their probation period. Joanna offered the hand picked ladies a chance to live for free room and board. The woman then were paid a small wage to learn life skills helping in different areas of the farm, a bake shop and a gift/second hand store. There were normally six ladies from all walks of life trying to put their lives back together. Each woman had certain responsibilities they were called upon to do, like keeping their dormitory style housing neat and clean, they ate breakfast and dinner together, no cell phones. Joanna ran a tight ship, she could make surprise visits to each ladies room if she thought they might have contraband, but in time the ladies bonded and it became like an extended family if the ladies wanted to work and follow the rules. Over the course of the twelve books we got invested in their lives and mysteries that popped up when you least expected it.
I am hoping that like other series by Hope that this might be the end of this part of Joanna's Story but using the same characters further along in their journey of being on their own after "graduating" from the probation program...but with the same intriguing mysteries along the way.....The Divine Mystery series is an excellent, clean, Christian mystery that you don't want to miss!!!

The Best Things Come To Those Who Wait!

The last book in this amazing series goes out with a bang! And Jo Pepperdine is determined to help her friend and new business partner, Carrie, discover who is sabotaging the property for the new animal rehabilitation center! The non stop action makes this a page turner for sure as incidents escalate from find pry marks on a window and tracking devices on Carrie's car to a bomb blowing the doors right off the barn on the property. When Jo and Nash spend the night, they discover an intruder on the property that manages to out run them and get away. Can the discover who is causing this trouble before something or someone else gets hurt?

I am so very sad to see this series end. These characters are so well created, each of their stories so meaningful and intertwined in the series that they truly come to life on the pages of each book. As Jo and Nash end this series with the wedding and relationship they deserve, we close the book on one of Hope's most endearing works. Thank you, Hope Callaghan, for this inspiring and amazing series. TGBTG

Divine Future the final book in the Divine Mystery series and is set in the fictional town of Divine, Kansas - the Midpoint of the continuous 48 states. Is Divine, Kansas protected by a guardian angel? Will the characters experience an angelic encounter? Hope Callaghan's writing style hooks me with her delightful descriptions of the small town setting, intriguing characters and a mystery. As a reader, I enjoy how Hope Callaghan summarizes what happened previously, and then throws the reader a mystery and builds the suspense with lots of red herrings. In a non-judgmental way contemporary issues are addressed – example: the mention of a Dollar 25 store (yep inflation is relevant). The characters and their angst and joys are believable. The twist and turn plot keeps this reader up all night and leads to a satisfying resolution. Recipe for Delta’s Peach Cobbler is included.

Great ending to a wonderful series

The Divine Mystery series is at once intriguing, heartwarming, engaging, and action-packed. Although I enjoyed every story, this final installment was one of the best.

Readable and absorbing, I finished it in less than 24 hours! All of the characters who have had a role in prior books are present here and every one plays a part in bringing the series to its crescendo.

Hope Callaghan writes many series and she no doubt felt it was time for a new one. However, it feels like there is still a lot to uncover in Divine, Kansas, especially with two new and unique characters recently introduced, and Jo's friend Carrie's new business. Maybe Hope will consider a Return to Divine series, or at least a single installment. Meanwhile, Millie's Cruise Ship mysteries are calling.

Divine End of Series

If you are reading this book and have not read the series I highly recommend that you do read the books in order as this is the final book of the Divine Series. The final book did not disappoint. No has partnered with the local taxi dentist to open an animal rehab and rescue and someone has begun tracking Jo's partner as well as doing physical damage to her property. While preparing for their wedding Jo, Nash and crew team up to solve the mystery of who it is that is out to harm Carrie and stop them. As I read the final chapter I cried. The relationships that have been built from the very first book in this series through this final book are true. I love that all credit for their success is given to God!!

a goodbye?👋

Well I for one hope not. But all things must pass.
I’ve loved the Devine series. From the beginning Jo and her rehabilitation Ranch, Second Chance, have been a beautiful experience. Learning about the women and what they have to accomplish puts things in perspective sometimes.
Every resident is a wonderful person and Jo is determined they can figure it out.
In this book,, Jo is finally getting married to Nash, we knew it was coming!
On top of that her new collaboration with Carrie is coming together. With a few hiccups and a stalker to boot, can they find the stalker before she does something else?
Alls well that ends well.
I’ll miss the girls and hope Ms Callaghan brings them back time to time.

A really wonderful series

Hope Callaghan writes such wonderful clean mysteries. This book was really lovely, the characters are all fantastic even the Angels that appeared in an earlier book. Divine sounds like a real nice place. Jo Pepperdine runs a place of rehabilitation, a ranch, for women that have been in prison. Her husband to be, Nash is the handyman. The women help where they're needed. They help solve murders and mysteries too. I have really enjoyed reading these books.

wonderful series that I have definitely enjoyed. I had hoped for a little more about the actual wedding. It had felt like the book was a total ramp up for the "big day". It was discussed frequently and referenced multiple times. The actual wedding was only outlined during the last couple of pages, and it ended before Jo even walked down the aisle. The mystery was there but seemed a little bizarre. Overall, just not my favorite of the series. It seemed like an incomplete ending to the series - if that "rumor" is true.

While Carrie's place is humming with construction workers, someone is working to see that the center doesn 't open. Meanwhile Jo and Nash are getting closer to their long awaited wedding day. Find out if Carrie's sanctuary gets back on track to open while Jo's residents and friends face challenges, surprises, and curious happenings in the latest mystery from Hope Callaghan and Divine, Kansas!

Another Divine adventure

Things are never boring in Divine for Jo and her crew. In the final days before Jo marries Nash, their friend Carrie is in the midst of construction at her animal rehab facility. Things take a turn when Carrie finds a tracking device near where Jo had parked on a visit to the property, and that means trouble for someone.

Jo and her friends need to figure out what is going on as things escalate to vandalism and worse. Is it Carrie's ex-boyfriend, a construction worker, or someone else?

NASH & JO'S WEDDING

No & Nash's wedding is soon & she is working hard to get everything finalized. In the meantime, Carrie, her taxidermist friend is working on her Rehabilitation Center. There has been a series of problems & she comes to Jo for help. When they find a second tracker on Carrie's van, Nash & Jo decide to stake out the property. As always, Jo & her ladies plus Gary & Nash work together to figure out what to do. Love this Series & how it makes the ladies of The Divine Second Chances Farm into a famiky!

Delta has a surprise with the ladies to join in and celebrate Jo's upcoming wedding to Nash. The rehab was established so that they could change their views of portions of their lives and rejoin society with purpose! This last in series is well worth your time to enjoy the characters and plot, It is an easy read and will leave you satisfied at the direction the author has taken. As an ARC reader I do not hesitate to recommend you sit down and enjoy and I voluntarily leave this review.

A mysterious stalker and a Divine wedding!

I’ve been following this cozy series through all 12 books and feel like I know all the characters intimately. I can’t believe this may be the final book in the series, as I will really miss all of their adventures. But what a fitting ending with the wedding of Nash and Jo! Of course there has to be a little excitement provided by a stalker! I received a free advance copy of this book and write this review voluntarily.

Beautiful series finale

What a beautiful series finale with the entire Divine family together for the happiest of occasions. All while trying to figure out who is behind some very disturbing disruptions during construction of a new business venture. Every one is on deck trying to pitch in, including Curtis the cat (who is the star of the sting)!
A fitting finale to a wonderful wholesome series

What a fine finale for a wonderful series! Jo is concerned when someone targets her friend’s home and livelihood. With only days until her own wedding, Jo and her friends must solve the mystery before it’s time to say ”I do”! This entire series is delightfully heartwarming. Complex characters, riveting plots and expert craftsmanship can always be expected from Ms. Callaghan. I’m looking forward to her future work.

Good read!

I first started reading Hope's Divine series and enjoyed those. Her other books didn't look that interesting to me....until quite awhile later, when I was desperate for something wholesome to read, I finally started reading Millie and the Cruise ship stories.... It was great to have so many written and there were so many
ready to read.... from there I have just been going through the other series of books ....I read at night, just before I go to sleep.

Love the Divine series

This is another excellent series by Hope Callaghan. I love the story line. A story of someone surrendering their will to God's will of loving on the down and out, and sometimes unlovable, women who have made mistakes in their lives. She introduces each woman to our loving Heavenly Father through her actions and then through her words.

I hope there's another one coming showing Carli's breakthrough in speaking again.

Divine Ending or Perhaps Continuation

Divine Future is the perfect wrap up to the Divine Mystery Series. Hope Callaghan has created characters you would enjoy knowing, a place where you would enjoy living, and events that highlight faith in
God. However, you could also choose to continue getting to know each of Hope's wonderful characters better by creating your own futures for them.

Divine Mystery

A pleasant mystery story with a predictable ending. The premise of the paroled women living and working together at Jo's farm is encouraging. I was disappointed that the wedding didn't actually take place at the end, just the promise of it was there. I did enjoy the book and would recommend it to all Hope Callaghan fans.

Hard to put down.

A heart warming series about prisoner rehabilitation on a farm setting. Every book held my attention with mysteries and crimes to be resolved. I loved every book in this series and thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Including a bit of romance and good feeling as the participants achieved goals and contributed to their futures and community.

I didn't like this one. Why? Because it was the last one in the series, that's why. Every one of these books were good reads, I'm sorry they are finished. I've enjoyed reading every single one of them. This one was just as good as all the others, and the ending beautiful!
