A Desperate Race Through Time To Save A Singer!

"Secret Threads of Time: A Psychic Time Travel Mystery" is the first short story in The Touching Time Psychic Time Travel Mysteries series written by CJ Sandstone. This story is about Tressie, a young woman who owns an antique shop. She lives there in Willow's End with her cat Buford, who speaks telepathically with Tressie. One day, an antique 1920s dress comes into the store's possession. When Tressie touches it,she is transcended in time to the mid 1920s, and comes in contact with a young woman singer who was mysteriously murdered named Retha Simmons. Her murderer was never found. Can Tressie find out who killed her and why and bring justice to this young singer who wanted to be on Broadway? Or will the sands of time from the past be the death of Tressie? I gave this 32 page short story a 5-star rating and will read short story 2 next.

The how, why, who was not answered. Like how the MC could jump to specific time she wants.
Or who the culprit of the murder. It just said to be a prominent figure, whose connection and identity to her city is shocking. Okay so who and what connection?
It never reveal what and who. The MC sole reason to keep time travel is to know the killer. And the conclusion just faded away without specific answer. Why?
It's annoying smh.

The writing, although at first glance feel sophisticated, it just inapt to be honest. The story was not weaving nicely. It was too instant with many tell not show.
