▪️ This was my first book from this author☺️ The book was a quick and easy read, it was filled with excitement and speed from the first to the last page. But I also have to say that I missed a lot during this one, I would have liked to read more about these two characters as I felt that you didn't really get to know them properly, which was a shame. Because I think their story could offer us so much more than what we got. They both seem to carry deep wounds and I so wanted to read more about them and then see how they manage to heal each other with the trust and love that grew between them🥹 Overall this book was good and I’m more than happy to read more from this author in the future.🖤

M.L. Hargy is a new author to me. Aleksei Petrov is part of the Petrov Family series. This book follows Aleksei & Amelia's story. Mafia Romance is always my go to sub genre of dark romance and I tend to be picky when reading this sub genre. The pacing is fast which did not bother me and it is a short story. For me, there was a lot of holes in the story that left me asking questions and did not get answers that I could not fully enjoy the book. I also wish the author included some backstory about the FMC.

Aleksei Petrov is the 4th novella of the Petrov Family Dark Mafia Romance Series and follows the story of Aleksei and Amelia. This was my first read by M.L. Hargy and now I cannot wait to read more! Thanks for having me on this ARC team for you! These books are interconnected stand-alones and can be read in any order.

Aleksei is another of one Nikolai Petrov’s sons who is out for blood and revenge on those who took the life of their mother. Aleksei is unhinged, ruthless, and definitely earned his reputation of the “grim reaper”. Amelia is a new and growing photographer who finds herself in a series of unfortunate events after her car crashes on Aleksei’s private property. Aleksei finds her injured, passed out, and for some reason he’s drawn to this stranger with a camera around her neck, so he takes her back to his cabin in a snow storm to try to save her.
Imagine Amelia’s surprise to wake up in a strange man’s cabin, in the middle of nowhere, and he keeps calling you “Kodak”….oh, also…never mind the dead guy in the corner, he had it coming. 🫣

This whirlwind book is but packed full of action, drama, spice 🥵, and chemistry.

Going after the ppl and take revenge was always his priority until he meets Amelia and saves her life after an accident. At the moment they meet they had a great connection to each other.

This is definitely a short/quick read, with a good plot and good amount of spice. The spice scenes are 🌶️😏. However i wished i was able to read more about Amelia's past, cuz she is running away from it, i still enjoyed the read it was good and now im looking forward to read the rest of the Petrov's 😍

This one needed to be a full length book and here is why: this was a rather complex story line for a novella. Aleksei has an important role in the Petrov family. He takes on a lot when it comes to disposing of those they are taking revenge on for the death of his mother. And I felt like we only scratched the surface with who he is and what he does. Now Amelia... she also has a complex story that we only briefly learned about. Like I felt like only one of the characters needed a complex background. Both of them had a story to tell and instead of telling that story completely, I felt like I was left wanting more. I was left with too many unanswered questions. Like they went from not really liking each other to BAM 💥 let's bang and now I love you. Which is expected from a novella, but I felt like there was just too much going on. There were moments that I had to go back and reread a section because I was like did I miss something? How did we get from point A to point B. So I felt like this one missed the mark in the novella category. Just too much going on for a novella. Which is a shame because this would have been an amazing story line if it wasn't a novella.

All these authors have been doing such a good job with these books. This was was pretty fast paced but still fun. The plot was quick and to the point. It had some spice to it. One thing you need to know, don't touch what belongs to Aleksei, because if you do your in trouble. He came swooping in and got his woman. This was a good and quick read and I can't wait to read the rest by the other authors.

Oh my god! What an amazing book! I was on the edge of my seat right from the start, every time I would relax thinking things were settling down there would be another plot twist!

I absolutely loved the relationship growth between Aleksei and Amelia. I also really love the way Amelia didn’t just cave and fall apart but grew within herself as well.

This novella is part of the Petrov family. Oh man I didn’t think I could fall for another Petrov but Aleksei takes the cake he’s so hot and so alpha toward Amelia. At first you see that Amelia thinks she’s only going to be there for a couple if days for the snowstorm to stop so she can go back to her life. But she realizes she likes how hot and over bearing Aleksei is and even though she finds out he’s a killer she’s not turned off by it at all. I really loved this novella the chemistry with the characters was so great and the story pulls you in right away.

The way this family has me in a chokehold right now! I have loved every book so far and after Lev, I was hanging for the next instalment! Enter Aleksei. This was a fast paced read with spice and suspense to keep you hooked.

Aleksei is on a mission to avenge his mother’s death and completely focused on his revenge when his plans get derailed after finding Amelia who’s in an accident. Saving her from a dangerous situation, they find themselves snowed in together and they can’t deny the sparks igniting between them. What follows is some seriously steamy insta love, fun banter, a whole lot of action and suspense.

While it is a novella, I would have liked some more depth to the characters and their connection so I could become more invested in their story. There were a few plot holes I noticed leaving me with questions.

Amelia, while out taking photos of robins in an icy park spots a dark figure through her lens watching her she panics and flees out of the city in her car. Realising she is being followed, she takes a series of sharp corners, passing a private property sign, and clips some ice going down a hill and into a tree. She was able to slip the predator staking her, but it also led her into the grim reaper's lair.

Aleksei is one of the Petrov sons, the ‘grim reaper” loose in New York, avenging his mother’s death. He finds Amelia injured in a car wrapped around a tree on his private property, not sure if she is a plant from the enemy or not. But from the pull he feels towards this unconscious woman he takes her into his cabin before a snowstorm sets in making them stuck together for the duration of the storm.

Aleksei and Amelia’s story, they are both forced into a literal forced proximity situation, when stuck in Aleksei’s cabin during a snow storm. This pushes Aleksei to explore feelings that he had suppressed of wanting someone enough to put his heart on the line. This man would set the world on fire to protect her. *melting into a puddle of goo*

This story is short but intense, full of mystery, and chemistry … the spice was *spicy*. If you are looking for a short, dark and spicy book this is one for you. Fast-paced, no messing about these two fall hard and fast. I do, however, feel like there were a few shortfalls with how short this story ended up being. I feel that some of the characters’ deep-seated wounds weren’t explored as much, which I wish I could have read a bit more about. Regardless of this though for a short heated story, this is one I will be re-reading when I need a quick fix in Dark Mafia in the future.

This is the fourth book to come out of the six The Petrov Family Dark Mafia Romance Novella, these books can be read in any order as they all connectively conclude with the Petrov Family Christmas, with all of the Petrov boys and their ladies. Each story has a common side plot that links the worlds of the individual books together.

I love these short fast passed steamy reads! 🫠🫠

Amelia and Aleksei are perfect from each other, she matches him to a T. Being a trained killer Aleksei doesn't let anyone get close to him. Hes closed off and focused on getting his revenge for his family and can't afford any distraction. He's been living his life one kill to the next, that is until he finds Amelia on his property. He's not sure if it's a trick by the enemy or not but he takes her to his cabin anyways.

As the weather progresses it gets worse and they find themself trapped in waiting out the snow storm and what better way to pass the time than to explore each others bodies 😏😏 Aleksei might crave the blood of a kill but he craves Amelia just as much and soon they both realise that they have grown to need eachother just as much as they need air.

If you're looking for a short spicy read then this is for you!!

Aleksei, just minding his own business disposing of bodies, as one does, is interrupted by the sounds of a crash. Making his way to where he heard the noise he finds Amelia. He never intended to find anyone to share his life with but that all changed when he met her. On a stormy winter night, Amelia was the only one crazy enough to be out. When she realized she was being followed she fled like her life depended on it. And it did. Not only would this choice make her run from one predator but also into the arms of another.

This was my first time reading ML Hargy, and I was not disappointed. I’ll definitely be checking out the other books by ML Hargy.
Another Petrov in the books. And they just keep getting better.

This is a fast paced and dark read. I loved how the characters fell hard and fast with only slight hesitation. No miscommunication 👏. I mean ok, someone may have tried to run away, but it wasn’t even a full on attempt. I loved it, start to finish.

Aleksei takes care of business in New York, but he is staying at his cabin while hunting down the men that killed their mother. He has a plan and nothing will stop him. Until, he discovers Amelia. A snow storm and icy roads causes Amelia to crash her car right off of Aleksei’s property. The two become stuck together in his cabin, waiting for the storm to pass. Desire reigns free and plans are changed.

I enjoyed this book and reading more of the Petrov Family. The spice was 😈👀. I will say the dirty talk was a little cringey at times but that doesn’t matter. I’m looking forward to meeting the last two brothers in this series!!

~ So far I’ve enjoyed reading about the Petrov Family & their revenge on those who murdered their mother… but for some reason I was not a fan of Aleksei… Don’t get me wrong all these men are HOT but he was just not quite there for me… this book was a quick read for me! Aleksei is in another state hunting down one of the groups that were part of the ones who murdered his mother. He is like a great hitman… lives alone… and gets things done alone type of guy… Now the way Amelia came into his property and life was just weird to me… I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it!!! Anyways… The plot was okay… the writing was good… the ending was perfect… surely I can't wait to read about the other Petrov Brothers…

If you have not read any of the novellas in this series, you are missing out. All of the Petrov men are amazing. With the introduction of every man, I fall for them. This novella is no exception. I really fell hard for Aleksei.

He has this tough exterior but at the same time, he is not afraid to show "real" emotions. Like the way that he called Amelia "Kodak". Then there was a moment later in the story where Aleksei shed real tears for Amelia. It was also the same moment where I realized that I was head over heels in love with this man.

If you love your book boyfriends to fight to the ends of earth for you, then you have to read this novella.

Aleksei Petrov is a dark mafia romance. It is a fast-paced novella with lots of violence and spicy scenes.

This novella follows Aleksei as he goes after the people who unalived his mother. Unfortunately, his plans for revenge are put on pause after he saves Amelia from a tragic accident. Immediately after a snow storm hits and forces them to stay indoors. Forced proximity results in a bunch of hot and smutty scenes.

I loved Aleksei and Amelia. They had great chemistry both in and outside of the bedroom which made this an extremely enjoyable read!

Aleksei is on a mission to avenge his mother’s death. When he is on his way to his cabin he sees a car wrapped around a tree. He sees and brings this beautiful woman to his cabin. When she wakes up she tried to leave but the snow is as high as the door. The chemistry between them is intense, and they don’t fight it. Thru both have secrets and danger surrounding them. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book. I absolutely love Aleksei and Amelia and their dynamic. This book is short, full of mystery and intrigue, and the spice is good. This is my first book by this author definitely not my last.

Aleksi is an assassin for the Petrov Bratva and is focused on his mission before he can return home. However, once Amelia comes crashing into his life, he falls hard and fast, wanting to protect her and give her a comfortable life. Amelia meanwhile seems to be running for someone but is still able to give Aleksi sass and bring out the gentler side of him. The two of them have good chemistry and good banter. This was a quick read, though I wish it were longer as there is definitely potential to explore the characters further and their background. There were parts of the narration that felt like it jumped or were a little unclear but I still enjoyed the story.

Short and Spicy read! Another installment of the Petrov men where you dive back into the dark world that these men haunt. Much like the books before you get a dark very morally gray man obsessed with his woman! Aleksei is working hard to eliminate threats when Amelia literally crashes into his life. They get snowed in and their connection is immediate and very spicy. I wish there was more of Amelia’s backstory so that you could understand why she was running. The overall story was good but it definitely left me wanting more. As a short spicy novella it fit but I just wanted more detail.

As we meet more and more of the Petrov men they just keep getting better!

Amelia is running from a dangerous man during a snowstorm when she finds herself heading straight towards a tree. Aleksei finds her as she crashes into one of the trees on his property. He regretfully helps her by rescuing you and when she comes to she doesn't realize she has been saved by another dangerous man.

Amelia seems to have an effect on Aleksei from the jump and he immediately becomes protective of her. They seem to live in a sort of bubble away from the outside world as the snowstorm leaves them stranded but it's back to reality when the weather clears. Aleksei has a desire for revenge and he knows his time with Amelia is limited.

This is the perfect Mafia novella where the spice hits quick! It was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat! This whole anthology has been great and definitely suggest checking out some of the other Petrov brother's stories!

I love me some Petrov men & Aleksei is a man that will take out all his enemies to keep his Kodak safe. The spice was definitely hot between these two, I mean Amelia does have experience when chains & whips. After getting in an accident during a snow storm after running from a dangerous man, Amelia finds herself in the home of another dangerous man but this one brings pleasure to her in all the glorious ways. Aleksei is obviously a dangerous man & is on a mission to take out the men that threaten his family & he does just that, but with a price of his little Kodak getting hurt in the mix. Their ending was perfectly them because if read this you will never look a roll holder the same again.

Heat level: 3/5. The premise/idea of the story as well as the characters were good, but the story was too short to fully land everything well. This manuscript needed more editing as well. There were a couple of things that were left too vague and therefore seem like loose ends that needed further explanation. There were also a couple of plot holes. Also a couple of scenes that start in one location and end up in another without the characters having moved. The story felt like it was fast forward and would've been a stronger story had it taken more time to let everything unfold properly and shown the scene where he makes it back to her place. But it held my attention and was a quick read.

With these being Novellas, they have to be short and sweet, but I felt like this one moved a little fast for my liking. I wanted more of these 2 and their dynamic.

Now while Aleksei seemed to be taking care of most of the revenge aspect for their mother and had a lot of bodies on his hands, he was the most normal of all his siblings!

I loved that most of his brothers are all about their suits and suave appearance, while Aleksei had a more rustic rugged vibe! Probably because I am a Texas girl, I love a man in boots and who spends a lot of time in nature.

This was the last one I read (not following the correct order at all) and I am so sad it is all over with the Petrov Men.

A freak moment in life brings these two together and it's absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed every single word in this book and to be honest, I need more!

When a hardcore k!ller saves a girl from a car crash and the weather forces them to spend more time together.... This guy is on a mission, only has eyes for finding the killer of his mother but his attraction to Amelia makes him think twice, makes him see there more to life than just revenge. This instant attraction between them is just crazy. His nickname for her is sooo cute and sweet. It also has some action and takes a really dark turn. but in the end they get their happy ending.

This is a novella and shows when the right person comes along, everything can change!

Wow they are kinky! I really liked Aleksei story both him and Amelia have there dark pasts and thats what brings them together and they have some fun 😜 out of all the brothers in this novella series I feel Aleksei puts a lot on himself to find there mothers assailants and Amelia was put in his path by surprise and he never really looked back and that’s what I like about novellas there a quick spicy fun read you get good spice action and a little bit of there back story to blend it all together and Aleksei does that was a good read! So check it out and the other Petrov novellas in the series 🖤

Like all the Petrov brothers, this book follows Aleksei & his revenge to those responsible for his mothers death.
On a cold night he gets snowed in his cabin, but he helps a damsel in distress after crashing her car in the woods, he helps her and they get locked in the cabin till it’s safe to leave.
Aleksei & Amelia (Kodak) have an amazing chemistry, the author managed to capture my attention enough to finish the book in one sitting. This was a great fun read with enough spice.
