Eileen was searching for comfort after losing her only child to a terrible accident. The heartache proved too much for her already strained marriage, and she soon found herself completely alone.
The rabbit hole she fell down brought her to the verge of loneliness and despair, opening up a world she hadn't realized existed. With the sacrificial dagger, her life could return to normal. She could have it all again if she could only locate it, and she looked for it, spending her fortune in the process.
Would she find it before she lost herself entirely in the search? If she found it, would she have the nerve to carry out what must be done to bring Noah home?
When I started reading this book I expected it to be a ghost story. Little did I know that I was going to read about a woman who had lost her child and that had caused her to lose her mind as well. Every twist and turn made me understand what and why she was acting as she was. The ending was a twist I least expected. I plan on reading more of Jennifer Lush's books.
