3 Sisters - 3 Love Stories - 1 Small Town

FAKING IT WITH THE GRUMP
Welcome to my not-so-fairy-tale life, where kissing Mr. Wrong is my brilliant plan to avoid Mr. Right – or so I thought.

It's one thing to be dumped by the guy you thought you were going to marry, but it's quite another to move back to the small town you're both from when he's a huge Hollywood celebrity and you're...not. But I need to be home right now, surrounded by the people I love, working in my new teaching job at Hunter’s Creek Elementary.

The problem is, everyone is trying to set me up with their son or their nephew or their long-lost cousin twice removed. Either that or they’re throwing me pitying looks.

What do I do? I spot the new guy in town. Christopher Young, the suit-wearing, definitely-does-not-belong-here stiff, and I go right up and kiss him. It’s…well, it’s unexpectedly nice. As in blow your socks off nice. But I'm not looking for a relationship with the guy. Not a real one, anyway.

As a temporary resident, Christopher is perfect fake boyfriend material, and just what I need to get the townsfolk off my back. The fact that he’s gorgeous in a buttoned-up kind of way and doing weird things to my blood pressure doesn't mean a thing. Really.

Not. A. Thing.

FAKING IT WITH MY BEST FRIEND
The two of us have been best friends forever. But it turns out, one of us is a phony.

Gabe and I are the dynamic duo of Hunter’s Creek and have been ever since we were kids. My bestie is not only sweet and loyal, but he’s totally hot in that flannel-wearing lumberjack way of his. Not that I see him like that.

Well, not since we kissed that one time back in high school.

Thank goodness we have each other, because life in a small town can bore the socks right off you. At least that was true until Hollywood showed up, bringing along hottie Joe Turner. Joe has my head turning so swiftly, I might just earn a degree in neck gymnastics.

But here’s the Gabe isn't exactly Joe's number one fan, and when your bestie doesn’t like your romantic interest, it sure puts a dent in things.

As for the Hunter’s Creek Ladies Committee, a squad of women with such fine-tuned meddling ways to make a soap opera jealous, they're convinced Gabe's harboring a secret crush on me.

Which is crazy. Everyone knows we're just friends.

Aren’t we?

FAKING IT WITH THE GUY NEXT DOOR
All’s fair in love and coffee wars—until my heart gets involved.

Moving back to my Washington hometown is tough, but having Oliver Langdon as my neighbor is a whole lot tougher. He's the big shot behind Steamy Coffee, the same chain that's making life hard for the café I'm running for my aunt right next door.

Sure, Oliver’s got that tall, dark, and seriously-stop-being-so-handsome vibe going on. And yeah, I flirted with him before I knew he was my business rival. But chiseled jawlines aren't my kryptonite. He's the competition, plain and simple—even if things between us are heating up more than a cup of his fancy espresso.

Then he jumps in as my fake date to help me dodge my cheating ex, and suddenly my heart's not so sure he's just the enemy.

Will my head be able to keep things straight, or will I end up falling for the guy I'm supposed to beat in this crazy heart vs. head showdown?

This collection includes 3 full length novels, each about a different sister, all set in Hunter's Creek, a small town in Washington state.

The series was so much fun! I thoroughly enjoyed each book, and the wonderful characters, storylines, humor, and sweet romances. Would recommend for anyone that likes clean and sweet romcoms, excellent writing, and engaging stories.

I loved this Hallmark movie style series about three sisters in small town PNW. So cute and sweet. This box set includes all three books in the series. All the books are closed door with light innuendo and no harsh language. My reviews of each book individually:

Book 1: This is a Hallmark movie in a book (which the book even pokes fun at), and I am so here for it. This was a fun and sweet romance. I’ve enjoyed everything thing I’ve read from Kate O’Keeffe, and this fits right in. Her books are always well written and fun. Her other books I’ve read have been set in the UK or NZ, but this one is set in the US and I think she did a good job making the transition in setting. There are some great characters in this book and I’m excited for more books in this series. The romance was lovely and swoony, and the “fake” didn’t drag on too long. The resolution was very Hallmark-esque. I loved this one and am happy to recommend it as a light and sweet read.

Book 2: Gabe and Ryn, could there be a cuter best friends-to-love couple? All the hearts, for them and Hunter’s Creek. I love the Hallmark movie vibes of this series. Gabe and Ryn are wonderful main characters, and there are so many great supporting characters…including the town itself. These main characters have a long friendship and a whole lot of history together. It takes shaking up of the status quo to move them both forward. Peter and Petra Pan have to grow up sometime. And maybe realize that their relationship isn’t quite what they’ve believed it all this time. “Funny how two best friends who know each other well can get things so very wrong.” I loved this book. The author took the characters on a path that felt like a new take on an oft used trope. The way the story unfolded kept it just a little different. Friends-to-love is a trope that I have mixed reactions to, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Book 3: “‘That sounds like a classic love story to me. Two people pitted against one another who cannot deny their mutual feelings. It’s like that old movie, You’ve Got Mail.’” This book is another sweet, Hallmark movie style story featuring one of the Cole sisters, set in small town Hunter’s Creek. The author once again pokes a little bit of fun at the genre but also delivers exactly what we love about it. It’s sweet, cute, fun, and funny. All with the requisite romantic payout. Marlowe, the eldest Cole sister, is back home and running her aunt’s cafe after the dramatic implosion of both her romantic and work lives. (Note to self: don’t date your boss.) Oliver, an employee of the big coffee industry, (not to mention, son of the company founder, with a drive to finally impress mommy dearest) opens his company’s newest coffee shop in Hunter’s Creek and this means war. “Oliver Langdon equals the villain in this story.” Never mind the intense attraction “brewing” between Marlowe and Oliver, Marlowe is determined not to let big coffee shutter her cafe, and Oliver is just as set on his shop’s success. Of course love finds a way once it becomes important enough. “‘Who wants a perfect love story, anyway? And ours is a love story. The best love story.’” The epilogue is sweet and wonderful for wrapping up the series, although I would be very happy to see more of the town and its residents.

I loved every one of these books, putting them in a set is a great idea as you can snuggle down and binge read them. They have equal shares of fun, quirky, emotion and of course romance. They are all set in the quaint small town of Hunter's Creek, a town where there are no secrets and the really zany Ladies Committee do the matchmaking.

In faking it with the Grump -
Harper Cole returns to Hunter's Creek with her tail between her legs after an embarrassing split with the film star who she thought was the love of her life. She takes what is her dream job teaching at the local school. Christopher Young had worked hard to get a first class law degree but he didn't fit in with his wealthy colleagues at the prestigious NY firm where he worked, he was sent to Hunter's Creek to sort out the Mill, the Mill that the town depended on. It was in Hunters Creek that he met Harper and there their bumpy, emotional but charming romance began

Faking it with My Best Friend -
Ryn Cole and Gabe Hartman had been in the sights of the Hunter's Creek hilarious ladies committee for a long time, the same Ladies' committee who handle the matchmaking in the town, everyone could see that they belonged together except Ryn and Gabe, they didn't want anything to spoil their friendship....... until cupid shot his little arrow. This lovely, funny, emotional story follows the bumpy road that Ryn and Gabe had to follow to reach their HEA despite people throwing spanners in the works.

Faking it with the Guy Next Door -
Marlow leaves her high powered job in Seattle and heads home to Hunter's Creek when she sees her boss, the man she plans to marry, kissing another woman, a woman who turns out to be his wife. Marlow happily agrees to run her aunt's coffee shop, she drools over a ruggedly handsome newcomer to the town only to find that he is opening a high class coffee shop directly opposite hers, can she ever forgive him ? will she have to close down?...........or will love conquer all. This is another beautifully written, witty, emotional romance .
I received free copies of these books and my reviews are voluntary.

This box set is made up of a complete series of fun, cute rom coms. The female leads from each story are sisters living in a small town so these books have plenty of family and small town vibes. I enjoyed all three books and thought the series kept getting better and better with each one.

Faking it With the Grump, as the name suggests, will give you all the grumpy/sunshine trope feels. Christopher starts out super sturdy and kind of boring (that's the point though!), but eventually he loosens up and becomes more likable. Harper is such an easy going person but definitely struggles with people pleasing.

Faking it with My Best Friend is here to give you friends to more vibes. Ryn and Gabe have been friends forever, because of course, but have never taken it to more. They have their moments where you just roll your eyes but because it's a rom com, you know it all works in the end.

Finally is Faking it with the Guy Next Door. This was Marlowe's book, the last of the sisters. This book will feature enemies to lovers as Marlowe and Oliver run two competing coffee shops. Hers is the small town local favorite and his is the big box chain that has moved in. I both loved and hated this book but it was my favorite in the series so when I say I hated it, I didn't really haha It was just so back and forth for a time.

I highly encourage picking up this whole series and going for a binge read!

I love series collection boxsets for their value and convenience factor. I am a reader who binges series like potato chips, and a series boxset is my party-size value bag.
Each of the Cole sisters is home in Hunter's Creek after a ronantic heartbreak. Each young woman has her own very distinct personality and skillset, but what they have in common is a family bond that spans generations.
The men they encounter are equally diverse, but they are all sweet, cinnamon roll heroes who learn to love these women and the town with a fierce loyalty every girl would love to receive.
Add in the quirky town festivals with the schoolkids singing showtunes and the Hunter's Creek Women's Society (aka the Empress Collective) who are determined to matchmake for every single adult over the age of consent, and you will find rhere is never a dull moment in this town.

I purchased a copy of this series collection boxset from Amazon and voluntarily chose to share my review.

I've read and enjoyed all 3 of these books by Kate O'Keeffe. I'll put just a snippet of a review for each of them below.

Faking it with the Grump
This book by Kate O'Keeffe is so good! I was hooked from the very beginning. I didn't want to stop reading. It didn't hurt that fake dating is my very favorite trope. And it was so well done in this book.

Faking it with My Best Friend
I loved that this isn't your typical fake relationship type of book. There's faking involved, but it's not in the way that you think.

Faking it with the Guy Next Door
There is so much great chemistry between the main characters. The painting scene is one of my very favorites. And that epilogue. It's so great!

Fun and entertaining:
It is great that these books are now available as a box set as I think they are best enjoyed when read in order. There are interconnecting characters and the previous books help to set the stage for this small town and it's rather eccentric, yet lovable citizens.
I found all of them to be a fun read. I loved that whilst there was drama, they were still light hearted enough to be a pleasurable and uplifting read. Furthermore, I loved the humour that was woven throughout the stories and that I instantly felt drawn into all that was going on.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

bundle of fun
Hunter´s Creek is a town you would want to live: well meaning but interfering citizens, not shying away from giving their loved ones a firm shove into the direction they deem right. So the three couples in the books might fight tooth and claws but in the end they don´t stand a chance against the matchmakers. Kate´s story´s always make me laugh and I´m always a little sad when the book comes to an end. I read the books as review copies.

This book set contains three stories that I thoroughly enjoyed. They all are connected by people who live in the city Hunters Creek in Washington State. “Faking it With the Guy Next Door was my favorite. It made me laugh so many times. Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop. It is an enemies to lovers story which I always enjoy. I highly recommend this book set for all readers of RomComs. You won’t be disappointed!

I love, love this whole series so much and the town of Hunter’s Creek, so many great friends, family and neighbors. You have to love the ‘so called’ Hunter’s Creek Ladies Committee, those crazy matchmaking grandmas. There is so much fun swoony chemistry in every story. So many funny things that happened I found myself laughing, the humor is fantastic. I highly recommend this series!

I was fortunate enough to read each of these stories, individually and loved them! Now you can get the whole box set for a great price. Each is a sweet clean romance. If you’re a fan of Hallmark type movies, this is right up your alley, fun characters, sweet romance, and a happily ever after.

A terrific collection of Rom-Coms that take place in the same town, and each book is about one of three sisters. There is humor, sweetness, family, and plenty of small town busy bodies that all mixed together make three great stories in one bargain priced box set. These three sister's stories are lively and so different from each other's story that I could hardly wait to read the next book in the set. Small town fun that makes you wish it was real.
