The Apocalypse was hard. What followed was harder. The first integration was just the start for Earth. As we grappled with the aftermath of the first integration, a new, more daunting phase began. The System had unveiled additional shards, each a victorious fragment of a broken civilization, survivors and conquerors just like us. These battle-hardened and desperate people are determined to win, and pose a threat unlike any we've faced so far. Meanwhile, the lifeline between Crownhill and Themyscira hangs in the balance. Elder Thalassa still holds a grudge against me, and without her mother, Cyra won't have the sway to keep her at bay. If my shops in Shadefall are discovered, the flow of goods between Earth and Themyscira will surely be cut off, along with my hopes for victory on Earth. Every battle I've endured, and every lover I've gained, has led me to this moment. To face these new threats, I'll be counting on Bridget, Sakura, and Myrina more than ever. Now, the fate of two realms rests on our shoulders. The release date may be moved forward if I finish ahead of schedule. From the author of Paladin of the Sigil and the Spellheart Series, delve into this thrilling LitRPG Apocalypse and prepare for the end of the world, teeming with monsters, magic, and lovers aplenty.

Good fun

This is another good entry in the series. I'm enjoying the progress of both Carter and his team at Crownhill. I don't have much more to say about this book that I haven't already said about the previous entries. One thing I did appreciate about this book was the exciting climax. It was a good way to round off the arc. There were a couple of minor inconsistencies and a few spelling grammar and punctuation mistakes, knocking off half a star. I'm still invested and looking forward to what awaits Carter and co in the next story.

Fun and delightful and the author's sense of humor is really starting to show through. Still a bit long for my usual tastes but this one kept moving a little better than the first two entries. There's still an unfortunate amount of typos that are (to me) obviously the work of someone trying to edit a manuscript they're too familiar with, but I have fairly low standards for KindleU books (today at least) and they were mostly of the small speedbump variety of type, not the "screeching halt so I can puzzle out some context" type.

Okay. I usually don't have to complain about this author because he proofreads / continuity checks his work.
So how come
Maybe I can't recall things correctly.

I did enjoy this read. I'm eager to see how the author will

Will pick up the sequel.

I love this series

If you couldn't tell from the title of the review, I recommend a book to anybody reading this review. I could not wait for the sequel to come out and then when it arrived there was a particularly onerous character opposing our hero cast that I found so annoying that I stopped reading. I actually skipped forward through the book to see if as a reader that annoying character was going to be all throughout and found that he was there to the end more or less. At that point I set the book aside and started reading something else. After having gone through quite a few other books I finally picked this one back up and discovered that while the character popped up here and there throughout the story, there was a whole bunch more of the story that had nothing to do with what I had originally believed was the main villain of this entry in the series. Our main character reaches ranks C this book and we get a little nod to the spell heart series. Carter also appears to pick up a couple extra ladies. Will put an asterisk next to that last comment. Now that I'm at the ending of this book I am looking forward to it receiving the audio treatment. I'll be picking that one up as I usually only get the ebooks via Kindle unlimited. Lastly I'll just say a round of applause for everybody who had a hand and bringing this story to us, the Amazon readers.

Another great entry

Marvin is a great writer, and again it shows in his work. Alotta good stuff in this one. There are a few grammatical errors I spotted but none too bad.

Now a Couple key things for me: The length, it’s fairly long (which is bloody great tbh) but the good thing here is you don’t notice it. It does not feel like it drags it. It keeps you going and keeps you focused and intrigued on what comes next. That’s fair dinkum good writing.

The one thing (less a complaint than more so an observation/comment) is that at several points in the story, it seems like for all intents and purposes that the MC is being purposefully wilfully ignorant of a couple different things that happen in the book and it just don’t make much sense.

Spoiler ahead (kinda)

An example is after an upgrade that has to do with good luck/fate etc later in the book, he trips on something that’s directly related to said upgrade, but the way it’s written just kinda blows it off as… like.. coincidence sorta thing? I dunno but it just hits weird? There’s a few things like that I noted. Not big or a problem, but noticeable.

Either way bloody good stuff and I highly recommend

I really enjoyed this book. I've been enjoying the whole series. This book starts out with Carter having cleared all but one of the threats within this shard. The last being the strongest of the Three Kings at the prison. Things aren't going well in the Amazon home world. In spite the enchanter rebellion being squashed, there are bigger players at play. One of the Amazon Elders had a much bigger plan. She had wanted her secret son to marry Myrina, but since Carter is now married to her, she plans to have her son Marry Cya, the older sister. Cya sensing future problems coming up, she asks for Carter to secure the shard, so that more help can be brought over. Myrina is finally able to come over and help by bringing over a few amazon volunteers. Once the shard is clear, up to 100 amazon warriors of D grade can come over. However what will the next iteration of shards joining his bring, will they be strong enough. Can they train enough Amazon warriors to help in the upcoming conflict on the Amazon home world.

For being the type of book that it is, I really enjoy this series. The MC is crafty and intelligent and is presented with problems that are usually solved in a fairly creative way. I really enjoyed the settlement building aspect and watching the world develop aspect and wished for more of it. My biggest gripe is how the women tend to be shown as fairly airheaded around the MC, Sakura is supposed to be a shrewd business woman who was cut throat and ran a successful enterprise before the apocalypse now but now she kinda is just a dumb oni? There are glimpses of it their potential prowess, but even Cara - who plays a major role in this book and the last - seems so incredibly helpless without the MC.

Id probably give the book an honest 4.5, despite my gripes, but I rounded up just because it's the third of a series I have enjoyed pretty much all the way through.

This book was a pretty decent continuation of the story, but not a great one.

The story has started to devolve down into the MC being uber powerful and rarely delegating anything but busywork to others. He's effectively a king, but doesn't really lead anything but combat. I'm still not a fan of his ability to leach levels from his harem during sex, though it isn't as heavily manipulated in this book as it was in the first two.

No new harem members were officially joined, though at the end of the book one may have been pushed on him. Since it's a sister of one of the existing harem members, that should be interesting to see it managed without running afoul of Amazon's rules.

There were only a few typos in this large book, so it was well written and edited.

More please... soonest

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and by extension the series. My biggest disappointment is that this book ended and now I wait... This is of course, one of my favorite types of book which is crafting. It's not focused solely on that, but there is a bit in it. There is not as much as the first book and not quite as in depth, but of course, the system has gotten a lot broader so other worries. Carter, the MC is likable and in my opinion, a good main. He has none of the wishy washy you don't kill the bad guy you see another series. He is protect all and do what is right. Don't look back, but look forward. I look forward to the next book and find out how he handles the end of this particular shard integration section.

Good system progression story

The deck is stacked against the MC by the serpent lodge as well as the serpent cult. Serpent followers are not known for their kindness and generosity. Fortunately the MC is a master artificer with a long range teleporter, as well as an Amazon house as his allies. His advesaries include a master necromancer, a rogue Amazon and their wanker offspring. Still, the dragon lodge as well as the local Amazon leader are excellent allies. It even looks like he may get some additional girlfriends out of the deal.

It's worth the wait!

It was a long wait for this book, but it's super long and worth it. Great action, and I love the villains. Our MC grows dramatically, taking his new duties to heart. I would have liked a bit more romance (not just explicit scenes, although they are appreciated). I do understand that with the arc in this book , it had to take a backseat, but I hope for more in the next book. I know it will he another long wait, but I'm certain it will be worth it.

Loved it!

This is a great addition to the series. It has me jumping to the next book right away I can't wait for the audiobook I loved it so much.
Definitely worth the money and time you spend on it. I am weird I like to listen to the audiobook while reading the parts of the book the deals with the stats and that aspect of these kind of books. The audiobook was also done exceptionally well.

Another amazing addition to the series

Wonderful book! This is one of my top favorite series. The setting is awesome, love the characters, and looking forward to the continuation of this series for a long while. I believe this is Marvin’s best series so far. Can’t wait for the next book!

Excellent Series

Carter has evolved and is growing a harem! The Earth shard is intergrating under his leadership but he's attracted the wrong kind of attention from gods of chaos. He needs to eliminate the necromancers and nags, then there's that pesky dragon to deal with! Bring on book 4!

City sim by warlords at its finest

You’ve got it all, detailed city management that’s not too lengthy, unique ways to develop a growing civilization, and to top it off, wonderfully motivated antagonists. Not to mention unique love interests.

Amazon Apocalypse 3 is a fun continuation of the series. We get more Earth-centric shard consolidation. Some Chaos God shenanigans and Carter and family leveling to meet the threats. I am looking forward to the next entry and recommend starting the series if you have not.

Worthy continuation of the series

Enjoyed every moment of this book and couldn't put it down.
Looking forward to the next one in this series.
Editing was good, a few minor things but nothing detracting from the story.
It was one of those books you don't it want to end.

Another excellent story in this series!!!

Yet another exceptional story from a wonderful writer!!! I am a tad disappointed in the very simple misspelled and typos in book 3 of this series. That being said the world building and character development are both first class!!!

More good stuff, more dense protag. More world building which is really the best part of this series. The seemingly tangent to school turned me off initially, but it's more 'post grad' work or that the mc is employee by the school, so persevere and keep reading, great novel to binge.

Maintaining momentum

This book does a very good job of continuing the previous. If you liked the previous one, you'll like this one.

The world building and political aspects gain slightly more focus, with the rest being slightly less. It's not a large change, but it is present.

4.5 stars. Good overall, just the secondary characters seem a bit formulaic. It's moving well, and I will certainly read book 4 when it arrives.

Okay, it's time

The only reason I haven't bought this series is because of the length of each - I mean, 75 to 80 chapters is a little much

Excellent

Really well done. I was impressed with the editing with few if any typos. The characters remain interesting but the story is a power fantasy through and through.
