Absolutely love the nole Fitzpatrick books and I really hope he brings out more! They are the one book that i just can't put down and get through so quickly. It had so much information about different bones and the amount of time he dedicates to the animals is so interesting and he is just an inspiration. I lost my dog which was also a border terrier just like noels and its so lovely he mentioned her in the book 📖 definitely my favourite by far i wish we could save all animals 🐶🐕
This is basically a kid friendly version of Noel's biography with extra animal stories thrown in. And that's not a bad thing. Noel is an amazing storyteller and know how to keep his audience engaged. I loved the hedgehog story and the swan story was hilarious! I cry everytime he talks about Keira.
The reason i gave it 2 stars was because it was aimed at children and written for children. I really should check the sypnosis before purchasing although the cover really should have given it away. I have got his adult book in my never ending kobo library which i really should get round to reading books on there rather that getting reserves at library.
A memoir composed mostly of medical stories of successful operations (which was admirable). Lots of fluffy preachiness. Not what I expected (I expected fun anecdotes from daily life of vet practice), but this is a different style of memoir which is fair enough. (Contained one of my pet peeves - saying that humans are just animals, quoting how much of DNA we have in common with animals. We are more than our bodies, our biology. I'm a huge animal lover, but we are spiritual beings, animals are not.)
