Like the Dawn
Mia Carrington has finally done the very thing she was destined to do all along—she's broken the curse on the Dark Elves.
In order to make up for her mistake, Mia has chosen to make the ultimate sacrifice: her mortal life. The Dark Elves are now wreaking havoc on the mortal world while the Light Elves are trying to gain alliances.

I can’t believe the Lark trilogy has come to a conclusion. I’m sitting here wondering what I’m going to do now that I’m done reading LIKE THE DAWN. First of all, I want to cry because I love this trilogy so much. Second of all, I want to cheer because the book ended exactly how I wanted it to. Erica Cope did such a wonderful job of wrapping up the trilogy, but leaving enough loose ends to make us wonder what is going to happen to the characters next.
Mia has grown up so much in this book. I’m amazed by the transformation she has made from being the wide-eyed, naïve girl she was in the first book, LARK, to the leader she becomes in LIKE THE DAWN. Then there’s Jacoby. Don’t even get me started on how in love I am with Jacoby. Totally crushing on him! I love his witty one-liners and the fact that he can get under Mia’s skin so easily. Even Greyson redeemed himself in my eyes from LARK when I could not stand him. Honestly, I don’t know how Mia made her final choice of who to be with because both those boys are totally swoon-worthy!
There were some not-so-fun parts, too. Like the deaths. Yes, plural. People—or should I say Elves?—died and left me completely heartbroken, but in the final battle between the Light Elves and the Dark Elves, I suppose it was to be expected.
Erica Cope’s writing was beautiful and she really gave the story the ending it deserved. The story had me on the edge of my seat, reading as quickly as I could. Halfway through the book I became a little emotional as I realised that my LARK journey was coming to an end. Only a great storyteller can leave me satisfied, yet completely devastated at the conclusion of a book.
There was so much to love about LIKE THE DAWN, and if you haven’t picked up these books then you need to ASAP and let yourself be absorbed by the interesting mythology that Erica Cope has created in the Lark trilogy.

The final installment in the "Lark" trilogy is full of fun, action and pulls no punches. There are some hilarious new characters and a resolution to unanswered questions. There's a battle at the end that is realistic and people you care for suffer. I love this fun series and am very glad it ended the way that it did :) Can't wait for Erica's next book!

Mia is still reeling from having been tricked into releasing the dark elves from their curse. She is further frustrated by the lack of urgency from the council of light elves. On top of that she is still trying to choose between Grey and Jacoby and the council have thrown two more into the mix hoping she will marry another heir to form an alliance.
This was just very lackluster. Mia kept tripping over herself, literally, as a former cheerleader you would think she would have enough grace to not fall repeatedly. The two heirs were annoyingly cliché..one gay and one a narcissus. By my calculations 90% of the book was about who Mia would marry, 5% had a little to do with the prophecy (which even when explained makes no sense), and the last 5% was some other superfluous happenings. A very disappointing ending to a series with so much potential.

I can’t believe this series ended already. I absolutely loveeee this series. As soon as I read the first few chapters of Lark I fell in love with this series and my love never faded away throughout the whole series. Even though this isn’t my favourite book in the series I still loved it a lot.
I love all the characters, definitely Jacoby. Though I rooted for Greyson in the beginning of this series I fell in love with Jacoby as soon as he entered the series. I also like Mia’s character a lot.
The plot is overall a bit cliche, but I love these types of storylines so I was completely fine with it. But I definitely don’t recommend it if you are tired of the girl finds out she is a half elf and because of a prophecy she is destined to start a war kind of story.

Like the Dawn is the last book in the Lark Trilogy. Just like the previous books, Like the Dawn is action-packed. The Dark Elves are plotting to take over the kingdom of the light elves, while the light elves are trying to figure-out how to stop them.
Mia is now a different person. She had to give-up her human family and Jacoby, deal with her feelings for Grey, and put up with the royals from the other kingdoms. She is doing all of that while trying to get the light elves to figure-out that in order for them to survive, they have to fight.
Alberico is right by Mia's side through out this story and I love that. In a lot of YA the parents are irresponsible, shady, and seemingly unloving. Well Alberico shakes that up. He loves Mia with all of his heart. He wants what is best for her, cares about her feelings and just values her in general.
This book has two amazing guys, Greyson and Jacoby. I normally don't have a problem picking a guy for the heroine in a love-triangle. I just know which one would be best for the character and then I have ones I just love myself and they aren't necessarily the same character. However the Lark Trilogy has completely broken me.
I love both Grey and Jacob for very different reasons. Grey is serious and protective and would do anything to make you happy. Jacoby would also do anything to make you happy but he is also light-hearted, caring fun and he would believe you can do anything. Mia makes her choice and either way a great guy will have his heart broken.
I really can't get into anymore without giving it away so I am just going to say I loved this story and the amazing world in which the trilogy took place. And I am very happy to hear that Cope is doing another book(s) set in this world. I for one cannot wait for Nightingale.

I want to first start off by saying that I love this series. Although Like the Dawn wasn't my favorite in the series it was a great ending to a wonderful trilogy.
Cope created a world that I enjoying loosing myself in. Her characters were believable and they made you feel for them. I was personally team Jacoby and that just goes to show how real these characters are written.
The ending was perfect. Although there was loss and I cried over all it ended the way I wanted it too, but I won't give that away. The battle was exciting and I found myself holding my breath wondering how it would all turn out.
Now for my least favorite part of writing a review, but I vowed I would always be truthful when I write this, and state what I didn't like about the book.
There was only one thing...one small thing, but as it kept on through the book it bothered me more and more and that was all the winking that was going on. First it was Klaus, whom I adored, who winked every other sentence and then Hans and Jacoby joined him. See it was something very small, but it was big enough that I felt I would mention it.
Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this book and this series for those who love Elves, magic, love and strong characters.

A perfect ending to an amazing trilogy!
I have loved every minute of getting to know all of the characters that exist in Mia’s world. I have been emotionally invested in every single one of them since the very beginning and absolutely loved the new players introduced in this last installment.
This book was definitely my favorite of the three…although there was obvious drama regarding the impending war, I found myself cracking up constantly with the fun, lighthearted interactions between Mia and the others and, being a Jacoby fan, was obviously VERY happy to see him return with his witty sarcasm and wise-guy antics.
I loved watching Mia’s personality grow and develop throughout the series and felt like a proud mama by the end. It is not easy to develop a story that makes readers laugh, cry (I mean UGLY cry), and get mad enough to throw the book across the room, but Erica accomplished that once again…I can’t wait to see what she brings next!

I really wanted to enjoy the ending of this series more than ai did. My biggest issue with this novel was that about a quarter of it was just repetiton and regurgitation of the previous novel. Mia spent endless amounts of time telling the readers about what had happened to her preclviously and re-telling them again when presumably if you're reading the final novel in a trioligh it's because you have read the other two already.
I am completely fine with some summation and repetion at the beginning of a sequential novel but this continued throughout novel and really took away from the story for me.
I an really happy the Mia ended up with the right character in the end. I loved her interactions with Jacoby and I really felt his absence during the early part of the novel.
The death of Alberico was heart wrenching for me however I am happy I saw this story through to the end and said goodbye to these characters.

Mia's world has been completely changed. She's not the girl she was in book one. We watch as she struggles to find herself in this new life and protect those around her. While she loves, she is not a slave to it, which is so refreshing. Imagine that, a heroine with a soft heart who is not ruled by it, who continues to think clearly and strategize to ensure the safety of her people. That said, the romance elements add a nice touch, and the romantic in me sighed happily when I read the Epilogue. It's a tough challenge to finish as strong as you start with a trilogy. Plenty of series have lost their steam along the way. That is not the case with the Lark series. Each book is an enjoyable adventure, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mia's story to my friends.

Wow! This book was...wow! I think this is my favorite in the series. Besides Mia's whining half the time, anyway.
And I am totally in love with Jacoby. He is so sweet, hot and adorable! And I just KNEW that they were soul mates, meant for each other. I am so very happy about the ending, except one sad death that should not have happened so soon. I am not saying anything so I won't be spoiling it for you. But be warned to be shocked and a bit sad in the end.
I also liked Klaus. He was actually kind of funny with his crush on...well, you'll have to read it.
Hugo made me want to either stab myself in the eyes or punch him in his nose. But at least, he sort of was a good ally in the end.

It was ok. Since nothing really happened in book 2, I was hoping this one would be better...it was meh. Lots of waiting around, being kind of diplomatic, not really preparing for every eventuality, not really doing anything again...? Then the final battle was just soooo anticlimactic. It was a cute story, it had lots of interesting world building ideas, it was just missing tons of oomph. Then the resolution of Mia, Greyson & Jacoby was lacking as well. I really don't understand the point of all these love triangles. It's so weird and unnatural to me...why are girls so shallow? They only seem to be affected by a pretty face.

I have loved the Lark series and I couldn't think of a better way to end the trilogy then this. I loved the writing style, character development, and plot line through out this entire series. Erica Cope creates a world of fantasy and intrigue that sucks you in from the first page.
I adore Mia, Jacoby, Grey, Klaus, and Hugo, and really lets be honest... everyone else! The only thing that would have made the book better was if there were more fight scenes or a longer last battle. However, I really enjoyed reading this book and am sad that the journey is over.
I look forward to reading more from Erica!

There is only one word to describe this series. Stunning. I was hooked from the very beginning on all things Alfheimr! It will forever be it my list of fictional places I want to go to, along with hogwarts, panem and The Gallagher Academy.
This book brought together everything that the series is about; Kingdoms, balls, boys and battles. And even though I sobbed like a child when certain elves I dare not mention end up something I dare not mention I would happily read them all again because it was perfect! Erica has a right to be proud of this series and I am looking forward to reading more about Alfheimr and the Ljosolfar in the future! Thank you for a fantastic rollercoaster ride!

Holy hell! What a way to end a series let alone a book! I was about to to write a nasty ranty message to Erica saying how mean she is, until I read the acknowledgments. I'm glad to hear that this is not the end for the characters of the Lark series, especially Grey. Team Greyson all the way! It made me want to throw my iPad across the room in the way I threw Mockingjay. It was heartbreaking and thrilling and I just couldn't put it down until I finished it. I love Erica's writing and I can't wait to read more!

I am so happy to finally have had the chance to see what happens in this final installment of the Lark trilogy. I must say that Erica Cope did a wonderful job bringing it all together in the end. my only problem with this book was the battle at the end seemed way too short. it's like the battle was only 5 minutes long and Dark Elves would be much more powerful than they seemed in this book. Granted both sides are powerful in their own ways which is another reason they battle should have lasted longer than it did.

Open ended?
I really enjoyed this series right from the beginning, seeing Mia really grow up and come into her own against all the obstacles that where in front of her was satisfying and entertaining. As for Mia's love interest, in the end there really is just one choice for her as she struggles to find her footing in her new world. My one criticism is that the ending felt rushed and that may have been by design as there appears to be a story in the works that will include Grey and hopefully some of the other characters we have grown to love.

This book was ok. I found the lack of detail really irritating. I mean, I was able to start and finish this book in about two hours. I still like the characters but the whole "war" was comically easy to win. They have been battling for centuries? It seemed way too easy. I like how the series started but it just fizzled out and left too many things unfinished.

This is the third book in the lark series and let me just say , how much I loved it! I loved how it ended and I love the characters! I still say that their should of been more a battle at the end and maybe a wedding but it ended at a happy note

Wow! What a fantastic finish for a fantastic series! I loved this series so much and this book just completed it! I laughed, I cried, I even got frustrated! But honestly this was an amazing series and I'm so sad to see it finish.
