Very enjoyable read, couple of daft continuity burps but not bad. I will have to check how many pages because I read it superfast! Ties in nicely to Annunki myths, loosely that is! The premise was very good and finding a super intelligent AI which as it turned out the makers had stopped manufacturing and took several technological steps back, wasn't expecting that!!! Blows into a cocked hat about benevolent aliens with superior technology.....they have the same problems as us! So when they see a nice mineral rich piece of real estate they don't mind taking it and getting rid of the pesky inhabitants. Would recommend.

I loved this novel (read on Kindle and Audiobook) and will definitely move on to the next one. The premise of space travelers heading to Mars and being sidelined—or I should say, hijacked—by an anomaly sets a fast-paced, adventurous tone. Both Nelson and Cheng (astronauts from Earth) are likable characters, but it's SELF, the ancient, sentient robot they meet in deep space, who became my favorite. Bell has a talent for worldbuilding that's both interesting and easy to follow. It's a smooth ride. Highly recommended.

This morning‘s Dawn is a great piece of sciFi storytelling. The story moves super fast and is written so you can hardly stop once started. The characters are developping nicely and I can‘t wait to read tze next book in the series!!

The storyline was easy to follow also for me as a non-native english speaker.

Thanks Dan, great entertainment!

Unexpected

The story is a well crafted blend of hard science and mystery tech, with a plot that is laced with a dark thread from the alien society. This first book ends with the current story thread resolved but the overall story theme remains open and waiting for more from the next installment.

Some of the science passed me by but strong storyline and relatable characters. The android SELF was particularly well crafted.
