Serpents of Serant #3

The Naga Warlord's Virgin Mate

Rate this book
Captured by a warlord, seduction is my only chance. Can I capture the heart of the beast?

Naomi

Stranded on an alien planet sucks, but it’s worse when you can’t even walk. I’m a sitting duck, and when scary Naga capture me, there’s only so much I can do. That doesn’t mean I won’t go down without a fight.

When their Warlord personally comes to interrogate me, I’m ready for him. Maybe he’s the one who’s not ready for me.

Krashe

I was not ready for the captive I meant to interrogate. This tiny, pale, scaleless creature is supposed to be my mate? But I can’t deny the attraction, I can’t deny the feelings brewing in me for the brave, fierce female with the sassy mouth.

She might be small and helpless, but she does not cower, she does not fear me, and she never backs down. For a female like that, I might just be tempted to give up my Clan, my Queen, and my warring ways. For a female like that, I might even reach for the technology that could help her walk again.

This is a standalone novel, and book three in the Serpents of Serant Series. This steamy sci-fi monster romance features one Naga Warlord, a disabled, sassy virgin, and a steamy HEA.

I should have known that "Naga" meant snake! I am not the target audience for this type of romance as I am deathly afraid of them.
Reading this sent chills down my spine, and I fast forwarded a lot!
The coiling part spooked me as several summers ago,I saw 2 snakes on my lanai coiled together and it freaked me the hell out.I promptly called animal controll and she laughed at me and said" honey, they are mating, when they are done, they will leave"I did not need to see snake porn on my lanai!
Needless to say,I am not rating this as it won't be fair.I liked the story line, but not the snake man visualization.

Gleeful Goblin Review: I fell in love with Naomi super early in this book and I think for good reason. How bad@ss is this statement when you think you're facing down your death by spearmen? “Come on! Get on with it!” I yelled at them, their circle was closing in on me, but they hadn’t made any stabby motions yet. It was going to hurt, those black shimmering spear blades looked really sharp but also made of stone. Hadn’t I read once that flint blades broke very easily? I was no stranger to pain, so I hoped they’d break all their freaking blades on me. I hoped it was a huge pain in the ass to remake them." GOALS. Part of what Naomi is talking about related to pain is an accident that's greatly impacted her mobility as well as sensation and while that has shaped her life it's definitely presented as a facet but not the entirety of her lived experience which I really appreciate as someone with mobility barriers.

Naomi is also wonderfully gentle and sweet, which is as impressive as it is beautiful. She could have become embittered after her accident, or hardened by her captivity, but she wasn't. I think the ability to go through pain or trauma and still choose softness, kindness, and love is exceptional. I think in a way this is highlighted in a really fun way in this scene: "Oh my god, it was so damn cute! It was shaped much like a lizard; the way the four legs angled on the sides of its body. Its head was round at the back but pointed at the front but unlike a lizard, it had a pair of ears that it wiggled and a set of green whiskers on its nose. While it did look like it had scales, the pebbled texture was velvety soft, as if they were covered in a fine suede. It was bright green like a parrot, with bright green bat wings to match. As alien as could be but also cute like a flying squirrel or something. Actually, it was possibly as close to what I imagined a dragon might look like, only miniature. Its weight was soft and warm in my hand, and its body no longer than my palm. “You are as green as a kiwi, you know that?” I said to it, and it responded with a chirp kee kee. “Guess I’ll call you that, huh? Kiwi?” I offered, raising my hand a little to bring it closer to my face. “Are you a boy or a girl, Kiwi?” I didn’t expect an answer but it still fascinated me when it fluttered its wings and swung its tail like it was preening for me. The little creature even puffed up its chest and raised itself on its four squat little legs. Ah, a boy then, trying to show off? “Do you live here? Do you know Krashe?” I said while I lowered my hand to put him down on the fur next to me. I wasn’t sure what the little creature wanted of me, but so far he hadn’t given any indication that he was inclined to bite. I hoped that was a good sign. The tiny little dragon scuttled around in a circle on the fur next to my hip. Then he raised his nose in the air and wiggled it while sniffling. Ah, probably hungry. I leaned over and nabbed my empty stew bowl from the barrel next to the strange round bed. “You want some of this, Kiwi?” I asked, offering it to him. “Chirp kee kee!” he responded, spreading wings and paws to leap for the offered food." This scene takes place when Naomi is still held captive and terribly uncertain about what's going to happen to her but she's still kind, curious, and open. These are qualities that are enthralling to her mate and have a lot of responsibility for changing Krashe's perceptions and biases in such cool ways. Great addition to an engaging series. 5/5 Stars.

Naomi is not quite sure how she became stranded on an alien planet, but when she is abducted and held captive, she's determined to do what she can to survive. But the Warlord of the Bitter Storm tribe is captivated by her and insists that she's his mate. Can Naomi trust this taciturn warrior, or is Krashe going to kill her as his Queen demands?

The Naga Warlord's Virgin Mate is in a word, rushed. We have almost no background on Naomi, other than that she is paraplegic from a car accident in her teens and that she sacrificed herself for a family member which somehow resulted in her being on an alien planet rather than killed. I couldn't quite determine what sort of Earth Naomi had left. There's mentions of hover technology but a lot of complaints about lack of accessibility. It's also some sort of Earth where a family member can be put to death instead of another. Is this a dystopian future? Or just like 10 years from now where we haven't quite got our act together to expand accessibility and we're also now in some weird dictatorship with a tendency for death sentences? This is the third book in the series, and it might be that this is all previously explained in a previous book, but it made for a very confusing read and a little more world building would have helped make Naomi more relatable.

Naomi also asks very few questions. She chooses to trust Krashe just because he doesn't out and out hurt or attack her, despite his insistence that they are mates. Naomi (and the reader) doesn't know what exactly a mating entails in this world. There's hints that this is a fated mate scenario, but Naomi never asks what it means to Krashe that they are mates. She just seems to trust that he will keep her safe, despite him calling her an abomination and swearing to kill her.

She also initially resists the idea that they are mates but quickly gives in for reasons that are never fully explored. At one time it's even implied that she might have gone into heat. As a human, this is alarming and not normal. Is this an effect of ingesting Krashe's sperm? Of the mate bond? Was it necessary for the mate bond to take effect? Maybe it's explained in a previous book in the series.

Krashe's decision to go against his tribe and his culture to save Naomi is also sudden. This might be due to the mate bond, but little is explained. He struggles somewhat with what to do and with his aversion to technology, but exactly how strong the mate bond is and whether Krashe could resist it or not is not explained.

The lack of exploration and conversation between the two main characters made the entire relationship lack depth and seem superficial. That being said, I did enjoy the journey and interplay between Krashe's past and current beliefs. I also really enjoyed that Naomi was disabled, but was still very capable and able to fight for what she wanted to do. While the characters do still try to pursue healing for her, it's not done in a way that insists that she needs to be able to walk. The characterization and handling of Naomi's paraplegia is why this book got three stars.

Naomi was facing execution for a crime she didn't commit, but instead of dying, she woke up on a strange planet, having survived the crash of a shuttle and cracking open of the stasis pad in which she had been placed before shooting off of Earth. Once she convinced herself she was actually still alive, she began to look around to find all the surrounding vegetation was in shades of purple. Where was she? It was slightly comforting to also see a few other women, who had apparently also been condemned but shot into space with Naomi instead.

The next thing she saw were three blue figures that Kalani (one of the other female crash survivors) called Naga...bottom half snake and top half humanoid, although covered in blue scales and each with a short horn protruding from their chins. All of a sudden, they were attacked by a group of red Naga; obviously enemies of the blues. Kalani and one of the blue Nagas fell into the river, followed by a rain of spears and arrows. Surely they had perished. The remaining female human and two blue Nagas escaped into the forest, heading toward an adjacent mountain. Naomi, suffering from a paralysis of her lower legs from an auto accident years previous, was left to the mercy of the red Naga, who brutally dragged her off. She didn't expect to survive.

Naomi was taken to their leader. She found out the name of the red Naga clan was Bitter Storm, and their leader's name was Krashe. He was huge, and she immediately noticed how he was looking at her. When he touched her, designs lit up across his chest. He was shocked and surprised. Mate. But with her paralysis, she would not be accepted by his Clan. The mate bond was stronger than the Clan bond, so Krashe had to figure out a way to spirit Naomi away. Krashe was summoned by their queen; a fat, arrogant female who, in Krashe's opinion, was responsible for the poor, starving condition of the Clan younglings. She didn't miss a meal, but they were missing many of them. Krashe's dedication had always been to provide for his Clan and protect the younglings; therefore, he had lost all respect for the queen.

Krashe didn't dare expose Naomi to the queen. How was he going to escape with her. You'll learn all the details, plus a lot more, when you read this interesting and entertaining story. Advisory: when I read the pre-release copy, I found a lot of punctuation errors. Hopefully, they will be corrected by the time you read it.

I was moved to tears seeing my disability and similar struggles, even the same event that caused my disability being represented in a love interest in a way that wasn't pitying. I loved that the goal wasn't to fix her, he only wanted to make sure she had her independence. While she got hope for a fix, she was still disabled at the end and seeing her get her HEA without being "fixed" is something I have literally never read for a disabled character

I loved that Krashe gave Naomi the room she needed to be self-sufficient and do things for herself without hovering or trying to do it for her after she told him that she has learned to adapt to her disability. He admired her for her adaptability and took her at her word when she told him something.

I didn't love that the main description of the queen was that she was fat and pale. You can effectively show greed and excess without relying on fat being the main descriptor. I get that the goal was to show that while her people are starving she is not, but because she was so flat as a villain by the 3rd mention of her being fat it really started to feel like "fat is immoral and a flaw, thinness and muscular physique are good" was the main take away.

I wasn't a huge fan of the FMC being a virgin. DIsabled people date and have sex just as much as abled bodied people, we just do it differently. Because FMC's accident had happened so long ago, it didn't make sense to me that she had no opportunities to forge those connections.

I was immediately taken with the world building. It has a very Horizon Zero Dawn feel and while it wasn't the first media to the reverting to the stone age after a war with machines, it was until this book, my favorite execution of it. I found myself dying to know more about the world's history and customs. I wanted to know more about everything.

All in all I did enjoy this book very much and would recommend it not just because the story was good but because it's a great example of how you should be treating disabled folks if you want to forge any sort of relationship with them.

I've only read this book and not the others, but it claims to be stand alone. I'm gonna just say that it isn't. It's sad cause this was close to being a 5 star book, and Krashe's side of the story is most definitely a 5 star story. The Naga's world is really well developed. They have unique clans with their own beliefs and lore, with a history that speaks of an advanced civilization whose poor choices led to them being sent back to the stone age. Krashe is a complex character who is torn between his love of his people and knowing his government is corrupted. He has been taught that technology is evil but questions the truth and his own desire to build, which is brought even more to the getting when his destined mate is a woman they're practically taught to execute on sight. It really makes for a character that feels alive and you want to be with him every step of the way. And honestly I can't believe someone managed to make a guy that is half snake appear sexy, but it worked.

The issues lie with Naomi's half of the story. I really liked her as a female lead. She felt real. As messed up as it sounds it was a nice change for her to be disabled, and not some perfect woman that tends to be the star of such novels. She has her limitations but she knows how to work with what she's got and she does. She doesn't cower in fear but she's not overly brash. But for the first half of the book she's about as good as a character who wakes up with amnesia. You barely get any information about what earth is like or how she lost the use of the legs until you're halfway through the book. The story starts with her saying she was meant to be executed in place of her brother, but you don't get any other information about that until the last chapter and even then you really don't know what he did to be executed. There's so much information missing that I can only assume that was something previously given in the first 2 books, which truly means this is not a stand alone. I want to go and read the others because I enjoyed this so much, but if I still don't have more information I may have to switch this rating to 3 stars.

The Naga Warlord's Virgin Mate is the third book in Robin O'Connor's series Serpents of Serant. This book would work fine as a standalone, however, I have been absolutely loving this series. It's fun, with great characters and interesting world building.

The book features a group of people who were transported from earth after being sentenced to execution (for some rather flimsy or falsified reasons so far). Instead, they end up on a space ship that crash lands on the planet Serant. This was a once technologically advanced race of snake-like humanoids, until it was decreed that technology had made them terrible and the society regressed. Along with this social regression came an almost tribal separation of the serpent species, particularly forming tribes according to the colour of their scales (blue, red or purple).

In this book we follow the fate of Naomi, a human woman who was in the downed space ship. She is made interesting because she is disabled (paraplegic). Although, due to the nature of the surrounds, she is left to be carried for a large chunk of the story. After being saved by blue serpent aliens after the ship crashed, she is left stranded when danger is once again upon the group, and finds herself taken by red-scaled serpent aliens.

Krashe is one of those red scaled aliens. He has fond memories of his childhood with is parents, who were gentle and were basically their group's historians. However, when he lost them he saw no need to do anything except to follow his queen. Meeting Naomi, realising that she is his mate and trying to keep her safe changes everything that Krashe has known. With Naomi he begins to find out so much more about his people.

I enjoyed when Krashe and Naomi's story joined up with the other humans - particularly other couples from this series. While there is danger, there is so much hope for the future with the outcasted aliens and other humans from the crash.

The Naga Warlord’s Virgin Mate by Robin O’Connor
Serpents of Serant #3

Alien romances were not something I once thought I would ever gravitate to but…they are definitely a fun way to escape…especially when the male alien is a hunk and a half, a bit gruff, strong, protective, and knows almost immediately who his fated mate is and that he will do anything to be with and keep her safe. I love slipping into the stories and thinking about the “what ifs” of what is improbable but perhaps feasible…maybe?

Having read this author’s debut novel in the Gladiators of the Vagabond series was just the beginning of my journey with her. Her imagination is fertile and must be filled with characters that have been clamoring to have their stories shared. I hated to say goodbye to the gladiators but am loving this series set on the planet Serant that is populated with Naga clans. Naga are serpents from the waist down but have upper bodies similar to humans and they are compatible with humans. This is is a bonus that is quickly realized once the aliens realize their mate has arrived.

In this book we read the story of Krashe, warlord of the Bitter Storm Clan, meeting human Naomi. Their chemistry is almost immediate. Naomi was introduced in a previous book, saved, lost, captured, and eventually meets Krashe near the beginning of this book. She has upper body mobility with lower body paralysis due to a spinal injury that happened on earth. Krashe and Naomi don’t have an easy time. Krashe’s clan is against them, they end up running, hiding, fighting, and finding something that might help Naomi become more mobile. Naomi meets and befriends a tiny creature that resembles a dragon but is more the size of a house pet that becomes their sidekick and is named Kiwi. I love the growing clan built of humans and aliens and look forward to the next book in this series.

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Highly recommended for those seeking a blend of romance, intrigue, and fantasy without unnecessary fluff.

Diving into Robin O'Connor's world for the first time was a thrilling surprise. Let me guide you through my thoughts without giving too much away.

First off, the depth of Naomi's character captivated me. Despite her inability to walk, her fierce spirit surpasses her disability. She's not merely strong; she's a true warrior. She won't go down without a fu🍒ing fight. Enter Krashe, the Naga Warlord, who complements Naomi in every way. He's protective and possessive, yet not oppressive, making them a perfect pair. Their loyalty and teamwork in facing challenges make their bond even more admirable.

The steam is naughty, sexy, intimate, and playful... you name it. Very satisfactory. All I can say is that Naomi was thoroughly claimed. This Warlord Naga, he can build things and fierce in battle, but he does know how to use his tail, be it in a battle or intimately.😉

One character that stole my heart was Kiwi. This little fella becomes a standout star in this story, adding extra of a charm. One of my favourite aspects of this book is the first-person narrative. It allowed me to immerse myself in the characters' emotions, giving a front-row seat to their thoughts and feelings.

Now, let's talk about the antagonist; Robin created such a character that we will probably be hearing about in future books. I'm looking forward to taking down the villain. It will be a satisfying point in the story, and the first step has already been taken.

As for the ending, it's a heartwarming happy-every-after for Naomi and Krashe, yet it leaves me as a reader hungry for what comes next.🤩

I thoroughly enjoyed this book esp because the female lead character was disabled. I find this subject not written about nearly enough in romance stories as if only healthy ppl find someone to love them or deserve true love.
I found Naomi to be a strong, determined character who although innocent in the ways of men and love was not going to go out of life with a whimper when she finds herself surrounded by aliens and about to be attacked, then kidnapped by a surly angry different alien. Despite being handicapped she isn't completely helpless and tries her best to assess her situation and figure out some way to survive. Her warlord captor is shocked to discover that his abductee is his fated mate and activates his mating glow. Now he is torn between protecting his clan and his new mate, dealing with someone he sees as weak and helpless with a disability, and fighting his own ppl for her survival. Meanwhile he is also conflicted on what to believe and faces having to reconcile the past present and future.
They escape and run hoping for freedom and during this come to trust and depend on each other while feelings of love grow between them.
They face much danger, betrayal, cold, harsh conditions, enemies and those that were friend but cling to each other thru it all.
A well written, richly detailed and emotional story packed with all the emotions and happenings to keep you enthralled and a wonderful surprise ending.
a must read story.

How can my fear of snakes be so totally challenged?!

This story was so full of exquisite world building and relatable characters that I could not stop reading. Being the third book of the series did not interfere with the storyline in the least. It just made me determined to search out the first two books.

Naomi and Krashe have a unique relationship. They find each other in a most astonishing way – one where they each wish they had met in different circumstances. This storyline was a new experience for me as I have never been drawn to… snakes. The blurb was so interesting that I thought that I would give it a try. Boy was I glad I did!

Naomi is a tough, strong woman who deals with a disability with a can-do attitude. No self-pity there! She faces challenges head on and remains calm and supportive.

Krashe is a fierce, determined man who faces reality head on. He fights for what he wants and doesn’t let anything interfere with his chosen path. His protectiveness toward Naomi is amazing.

Once meeting, Naomi and Krashe are inseparable and fight their way through their challenges. The world building is so detailed and clear that I could see their world in my head. The storyline is fast moving and kept my attention easily. Who needs to sleep anyway?

This book is highly recommended and can easily be read as a standalone. Robin can add another success to her growing list of titles!

This was an ARC and a voluntary review.

Naomi and Krashe’s Story . . .

Naomi wakes up from a pod to find that she and others were being rescued from a crashed shuttle by 3 blue Nagas, and are actually stranded on an alien planet. When red-scaled Naga hordes attacked, Naomi, who had very limited feeling or use of her legs due to an accident, is unable to escape. At the time of the attack, Kalani and a blue Naga had gone into the freezing river, and the other humans and two blue Naga were separated from them by an avalanche, so there was no help available to her. The red Naga capture her and she is carried off.

Naomi is a fiercely strong woman who takes on any challenge with an amazing attitude, whether because of her disability or in spite of it. Krashe is likewise strong and willing to go after what he desires. When he approaches to interrogate her, he admires the female who is not afraid of him and in fact will face him with courage. He and Naomi seem to be pulled toward each other right from the start. Does he recognize her as his mate? When they touched, she could understand him. How did that happen? He is already becoming protective of her and, as they fight together, their connection becomes stronger and she keeps surprising him. And you will love meeting her new little pet, Kiwi! But will Krashe be able to save Naomi from the Queen? There is so much more happening in the story, so grab a copy and enjoy this series.

The third book of the Serpents of Serant gives us the story of Naomi and Krashe/”The Warlord”. Naomi was captured by a rival Naga group in the last instalment and her fate unknown. Unable to walk, her chances of survival on the hostile planet were small but Naomi is a force to be reckoned with. She is a fighter, stubborn and determined to survive anyway she can. Taken captive, she is terrified she is about to be tortured when “The Warlord” barges into the room. She is confused when she finds herself intrigued by the large Naga and when he leaves her unharmed.

Krashe never expected to find a fated mate and especially not for her to be a fragile human who can’t walk. He will do anything to keep her safe from his clan and their Queen. Despite desperately wishing to help his clan, he has become disillusioned with their wasteful and careless ways. He puts his focus into saving his mate and returning her to the other humans.

These two together were adorable. Their immediate attraction didn’t mean they were prepared to trust freely and watching their feelings develop was entertaining. There was action and spicy times with engaging and interesting characters, along with a cute pet!

Be warned, the overarching storyline ends in a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the next instalment. Robin O’Connor has become a one-click buy for me with her strong females and supportive men.

4.25 stars. Naomi, the female human lead, is a paraplegic after an accident left her with spinal damage her family couldn’t afford to fix. Sacrificing herself for her physically functional brother, she’s found herself crashlanded on an alien planet and captured by Naga who seem to hate her.

Krashe, the male Naga lead, is chief warrior for his people and has been desperately searching for a solution to the lack of resources facing his people, who are slowly starving. When they capture Naomi, he’s shocked to find his mate in a person totally unacceptable to his people. But he still tries to balance his obligation to his people with his care for Naomi…

This story is dual POV, well written, and a steamy sweet, action filled, adventure romance. I enjoyed Naomi’s determination to have agency in her life. I enjoyed Krashe’s shock that morphed into care, and then into consideration of what his people’s beliefs should actually be. I enjoyed their relationship development and their intimate moments. I enjoyed the interactions with other characters, and the resolutions found. I also appreciated greatly that, though the overarching plot, which is continuing through the series, ended in a cliffhanger, the romance is complete.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Burn: 🔥🔥
Darkness Level: 🤍
Heat Rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Genre: Scifi Romance
POV: Dual 👫
Ending: HEA/Cliffy (our couple is definitely together but the world story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger)
Tropes: fated mates, he falls first, instalust, language barrier
Kinks: tail play, double-headed 🐓
TW: kidnapping, violence and 💀

I have never read a romance book that had the FMC with an incomplete spinal cord injury. I am sure the author wasn’t perfect in her representation, but from a person in the medical field, nothing jumped out at me, so I really enjoyed this rep. The Warlord, Krashe, really had to go on a self-discovery journey to come to terms with his change in worldview. I loved how Naomi was so blasé about her own brushes with death (and so decided to live life fully) but got so worked up when Krashe was injured. And Kiwi is just freaking adorable and I want one. I had not read the first two books in this series, but they are definitely on my TBR now, as I think, while this one stands alone just fine, we probably get more background on how the humans ended up on this planet of Naga.

I received a copy of the book from the author, but my review is entirely voluntary and honest.

An inspiring + powerful story! I loved how well this was crafted. It was full of adventure, struggle, and love. You easily fall in love with the characters, as well as loathe the bad guys. This book really sets up a whole series, definitely fantastic world building. I am always impressed with how well this author writes. Every book is always so smoothly written, where you are drawn in fully. I loved this couple and their dynamic. I have a young cousin who was born unable to use her legs. So seeing a character like her, and seeing it written with the utmost care and detail really sold me even more on how amazing this author is. The struggles the character faced were similar to my cousin’s, so it felt accurate and realistic. Plus I definitely had not expected a main character with a physical disability since I have never seen a sci-fi romance book have one before. So that was so exciting! I’d tell my cousin to read it but she is definitely too young for the spice in it. LOL. I absolutely loved this book and how realistic it was. It felt so real, raw, and authentic. Which I think really makes a book that much more inspiring and truly draws you in. Thoroughly impressed. I certainly cannot wait for future books in this series!

Stranded on an alien planet, Naomi (h), a disabled but fiercely resilient human, is captured by the intimidating red-scaled naga warriors of the Bitter Storm clan and brought to Warlord Krashe (H). Despite her disability and loss of assistive devises on the crashed spaceship, Naomi refuses to cower to Krashe, sparking an unexpected connection and attraction between them. Krashe grapples with the conflicting loyalties of discovering Naomi is his mate and his loyalty to his Clan and Queen. Despite societal prejudices and the dangers they face, Naomi and Krashe embark on a journey together, navigating through tribal conflicts, challenges, and misheld beliefs. Naomi's disability doesn't deter Krashe; instead, he's determined to use technology to help her walk again, despite technologies being banned by his clan. As their bond strengthens, they navigate enemies and challenges, with loyalty and teamwork to overcome any obstacles. Loved having characters from other books. Kiwi was just too amazing. Naomi is determined, strong and fiery, as she works and fights right alongside, Krashe, her naga protector. Hot and steamy naga-human romance with lots of action, adventure, and drama. Can't wait to see what's in store for Outcast Haven.

I came in blind reading this book without even reading the books before. The characters are so well developed and you care for them almost instantly. The world building was beautiful and I could picture the surroundings perfectly. Naomi is paralyzed from the lower thigh down. But that doesn't stop her from being a badass. Kashe doesn't discriminate or see that as something wrong with her. Which is major especially being in a clan we're such "deformities " would have basically been killed for having them in his own kind. He is sweet and loving but also a grump! I feel like this was def a grumpy sunshine trope. The lovins were just right and sexy. The queen was a downright biatch. I feel like this book had a bit of everything. Romance, suspense, action, and sometimes you might fear for what's about to happen with this couple but they prevail. All in all I loved it and am about to start reading the first 2 books so I'm caught up.

Naomi is a human living with partial paralysis who’s been rudely awakened from stasis - again! - aboard a spacecraft which has crashed in the middle of a clash between warring naga tribes. Naga are serpent like humanoid creatures who have eschewed modern technology for reasons which aren’t immediately known.

From the moment Krashe encounters Naomi, he’s drawn to her and is certain she’s his fated mate. When his naga queen and tribesmen decide Naomi is a threat, he whisks her away to his home for her safety.

As they spend time together, Naomi begins to fill in the missing puzzle pieces regarding technology and Krashe’s parents’ connection to it. This puts a target on his back as well as Naomi’s, and they try to stay alive while being pursued on multiple fronts.

This was a steamy, exciting romp, and it definitely stands alone if this is your first book in the series.

I was fortunate to receive an advance reader copy from the author and booksprout, and I’m happy to leave my honest review.

The Naga Warlord’s Virgin Mate is book 3 in the Serpents of Serant series.

I am a new reader to Robin O’ Connors books and had stumbled upon The Naga Warlord’s Virgin Mate by a referral from another author I read. I am so glad I took that recommendation because this was a fun, fantastical, and entertaining story.

I loved Robin’s creative writing and world building. There is a strong and sassy heroine, and no disability will hold her back! The alpha hero is ssssexy, ssstrong and so ssslithery in his serpent ways! So much fun and sssso entertaining. Lots of action, adventure and spice to fulfill any lover of the alien/sci-fi romance genre.

Although I started with book 3, I will be moving on to start this series from the beginning and read in order. There is also a prequel novella called The Naga Hunter’s Lost Mate that I want to be sure to start with first.

I highly recommend, happy reading!.

This was a great book and I loved the strength that Naomi shows when faced with life and death after facing a life of not being able to walk after a car accident and now takes the blame for a family member and is now to be executed but when she wakes she is on a strange planet with other females. There is a noise and then there are blue Nages is what Kalani called them but soon there are red ones that have surrounded them and the blue ones flee but because Naomi cannot leave she is captured and taken to the leader. Krashe is the leader and a Warlord of the Bittter Storm Clan who has just learned there is a female he must interrogate her and when he see’s her he knows instantly that she is his fated mate but will this feisty and pale, tiny female be his Queen but can he use the forbidden technology that could make her walk again but it could cost him both there lives. How does it all turn out in the end, get this book to grind out.

As a proud, card carrying member of the club "Romance with aliens that look like aliens" I full heartedly endorse this book.

Just kidding... we don't get cards, but we so should!

Anyways, this book had it all, great world building, amazing characters that actually give you all the feels and a happy for now ending that gives you all the feels.

Now, I do say happy for now because while the book's ending was extremely satisfying, it does allow for a continuation in the series. That being said, I started the series in book 3 and didn't feel like I missed anything, so you can read them as standalones.

However, since I have just realized what I have been missing out on, I am going to read the three previous book to this one (a novella, plus books one and two).

The writing style flows, the characters are relatable and you can picture the world in your head with just a few words... really, this book is not to be missed!

Particulars:

MF
Alien abduction (not the Naga)
No OW/OM drama
No cheating
Not too much bloodshed

I love this exciting, fascinating alien romance fated mates story. Naomi was crippled in an accident at fifteen years old. Her family couldn’t pay for her medical, she sacrificed her life for her brother. Expecting death she wakes up in a crashed spaceship, captured by Aliens. Krashe is a Naga of the Bitter Storm Clan, all clan believe technology and anything from sky bad, must destroy. Warlord Krashe investigates alien invader, find Naomi, small, crippled female tied hand and foot in jail. Laugh out loud 😂 Naomi is Krashe fated mate, his parents were the only fated mates in his clan in over a hundred years. Suddenly all he can think about is how he can protect his mate. He hides Naomi and prepares to escape. Heart pounding excitement racing through tunnels, escape north, ambushed by clan warriors, constant danger, surprises, sweet romance, happy ever after with more surprises. Delightful, delicious and very enjoyable reading. Can’t wait for next book.

Nagas are probably my favorite monster men to read about. That said I really enjoy how possessive Robin makes hers. Krashe was immediately besotted once he saw the inner strength that Naomi held.

I loved the inclusivity of having a FMC in a monster romance be partially paralyzed. And Naomi’s character was strong and amazingly positive.

I also really like the spice! There’s something about flavored and scented… ejaculate that does something for me. I love the bodily descriptions as well. Who wouldn’t love two tips?

Oh and I just adored Kiwi!!! Thinking he saw Naomi as his mate is just about the cutest thing ever!

There’s just something about these books that almost make me feel like there’s a lot of information and not a lot of time to get it all. I have read the novella and books one and two and each time I just feel like the story is kinda hustled along.

But I enjoy the characters and their relationship time and time again. So I keep coming back for more.

I enjoyed The Naga Warlord’s Virgin Mate whose overarching storyline continues to expand.
This book follows one of the human woman Naomi woken from cryo sleep after the ship she was on crashed on the Naga planet Serant, a world were use of technology is forbidden.
Naomi who doesn’t have use of her legs has never let that stop her and when captured by the Bitter Storm clan is determined to find a way to freedom.
Here she meets MFC warrior Krashe and from one touch they can not only communicate but his mate bond marks flair into life.
The writing was excellent along with the world building which continues to reveal the nuances surrounding the Naga societies and why they turned away from technology.
A wonderful adventue of romance, intrigue and action keeps the pages turning in what is an immersive read.
Ends on a cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to the next journey back to Serant!.

This is a new author for me so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It surprised me at how much I enjoyed the story. I was also surprised by the description of the alien, Krashe, he’s different from any that I have ever read about, but that is a good thing. Having crashed on an alien planet, Naomi is rescued and then suddenly surrounded by aliens and taken captive by the Bitter Storm Clan warriors. The Naga Warlord Krashe instantly recognizes Naomi as his fated mate and he is determined to save her from being killed by his clan. The story is now packed with danger as he must navigate their escape. It is an action packed story and full of danger. There are surprises along the way that added to the enjoyment/suspense of the story. Just when everything is going good, the unexpected happens and here is where this book ends with no hint of the next book in this series. Also I loved Kiwi.
