The was bad. The writing is very chatty, conversational and comes across at a juvenile level. It addresses the science very lightly and some of the analogies used to explain the science just did not work well. Some of the information and guidance was frequently repeated, which doesn’t say much for the content of what is a very short book: 152 pages. The editing of the book was terrible. There was actually a point where six to ten pages of content was duplicated, like someone had performed a copy and paste and forgotten to go back and delete the original content. Even the formatting for my Kindle edition was poorly accomplished with many sentences skipping half of a line for no reason.

I gave the book two stars instead of one because some of the information was helpful and was either consistent with other sources I have read or not in conflict with anything I have read.

I think the basic facts of heart disease as presented in this book are true but must better documented in other books. The journalist working with Dr. Lundell tried to write in a conversational style that completely didn't work. The organization and presentation of information is terrible and not well cited. If they had just focused on presenting the facts the book would have been half as long and much easier to read.

The information in this book is well worth the read; it confirmed that low-fat diets are bad news. The content is easy to understand. More people should read this one, including all of my loved ones and managers and stockers of grocery stores and restaurants, alike!

Good information but the chatty writing style was annoying.
