Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey #3

Scores of the Heart

Rate this book
Tyler

I’m the captain of the Seattle Hawks, it’s my job to look out for the team, to protect them.

To rally my teammates above all else.

But what happens when that protection clouds over the woman I can’t stop thinking about… The woman that I watch from the corner cafe every morning as she enters the stadium…

The vision I dream about every night.

Cindy Carter

The coach’s daughter who works for the Hawks.

She’s off limits.

Out of my league.

And completely oblivious to my obsession.

Then, a conversation I overhear between her parents shocks me to my core.

Now I can’t forget what I heard.

I can’t go back.

It’s bringing out a protective side in me that I never knew I had.

Not until this moment did I think I’d give it all up for a woman I barely know.

But she brings me to my knees.

I know I have to keep my head in the game … And try to stop focusing on the one woman I can’t have… That is until my past comes back to haunt me.

The more I seem to try and escape it, the deeper I seem to fall.

Until I don’t know which way to turn anymore, and if I tell her the truth, will she run from me?

I thought scoring was all about the game, but it seems it’s more about my heart than I ever believed imaginable.

The only question is, will the tension overshadow everything we’ve worked so hard for?

And will our chance be lost forever?

SCORES OF THE HEART is book 3 in the Seattle Hockey series and can be read as a stand-alone. For mature readers.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series.
I loved Tyler and CIndy’s story, these two are just too precious!
Cindy comes from a very religious and strict upbringing. She’s the daugther of the Seattle Hawk’s hockey coach.
Tyler is the team captain, and is enamored with her when he sees her walking into work every morning. She also works for her father.
Everything about them together seems to be forbidden. Nothing can stop the attraction and chemistry these two feel towards one another after they first run into one another. Literally.
Tyler is such a kind, honest and respectable guy. He’s willing to do anything to make things work between them.
Cindy is sweet, and innocent, and has always followed the rules set out for her. When she sees the potential between her and Tyler, she knows it’s worth the risk of finding a way around the rules. He seems to be all that she has been waiting for.
These two don’t have it easy navigating a relationship. They have so many roadblocks to navigate, between her family, the hockey team contract and drama with Tyler’s ex.
I adored these two! A perfect sweet and cozy weekend read!
I’m loving this series !

This is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks series from Dakotah and features Cindy & Tyler’s story. These 2 couldn’t be any more different if they tried. Tyler’s patience with Cindy is absolutely precious, I adored the way he was portrayed from start to finish. Cindy was a very sweet and innocent ruler follower who learned to come out of her shell with his help, which was just what she needed in life to become her own person who puts their happiness first for a change.

Whilst the journey of their relationship isn’t an easy one, it was well and truly worth it in the end.

I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. I thought, as usual, that the tropes in these books are my favourite and would give it another shot, but it always ends poorly.

Some quite nice moments, but they were too few and far between and I had to force myself to keep on reading.

"Scores of the Heart" by Dakotah Fox is a captivating sports romance that masterfully blends the high stakes of professional football with the emotional complexities of forbidden love. The novel centers on Tyler, the dedicated captain of the Seattle Hawks, and Cindy Carter, the coach's daughter who is integral to the team yet seemingly out of reach.

Tyler is depicted as a strong, protective leader whose responsibilities to his team are paramount. However, his infatuation with Cindy, whom he watches daily from a café, introduces a compelling conflict. Tyler's internal struggle between his professional duties and his growing obsession with Cindy is portrayed with nuance, making his character both relatable and deeply human.

Cindy, on the other hand, is the embodiment of grace and professionalism. Working for the Hawks and being the coach’s daughter places her in a delicate position, adding layers to her character. She is unaware of Tyler’s feelings, which creates a palpable tension as Tyler grapples with his emotions and the revelation of a conversation he overhears between Cindy’s parents. This overheard conversation serves as a catalyst, intensifying Tyler’s protective instincts and further complicating his feelings.

The chemistry between Tyler and Cindy is electric, with their interactions filled with unspoken longing and mutual respect. Fox excels in building this romantic tension, making the reader root for their connection despite the obvious obstacles. The narrative does an excellent job of balancing Tyler’s perspective with Cindy’s, offering insights into both characters’ minds and deepening the reader’s investment in their journey.

The pressures of the game, the camaraderie among teammates, and the challenges Tyler faces as captain are vividly portrayed. These elements enhance the stakes of Tyler and Cindy’s burgeoning relationship, as Tyler’s past begins to resurface, threatening to derail not only his professional life but also his chance at love.

Dakotah Fox’s writing is engaging, with a pace that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. The novel’s exploration of themes such as loyalty, protection, and the cost of keeping secrets enriches the romance, making it more than just a love story. It’s a tale of personal growth, the courage to confront one’s past, and the transformative power of love.

"Scores of the Heart" is a heartwarming and thrilling read that will appeal to fans of sports romance and anyone who enjoys stories about overcoming obstacles to find true love. Dakotah Fox delivers a compelling narrative with well-drawn characters and an emotionally charged plot, making this novel a standout in its genre.

I am a huge fan of sports romance and hockey is one of my top choices. Scores of the Heart sounded just like my kind of book and while it was a good story it just missed the highs in my opinion.

It is a slow burn (and nothing wrong with a slow burn I love a good build-up), the coach's daughter who also works for the team, has no fraternization rule, sneaking around, slightly stalkerish tendencies, she's been hurt in the past, he's got a reputation.

A pretty good recipe list there in my opinion and I really struggle to point out any major faults or things that turned me away. The best I can do to explain my rating is it just didn't reach its potential. It had everything it needed and had some great moments, but there was nothing that had me not wanting to put it down. In fact, I put it down quite a few times for no reason. It wasn't boring or bad I just didn't feel the need to keep reading.

It's a good story and the characters are good. I would have loved great but didn't quite get it.

I would still happily recommend this story to anyone who enjoys slow-burn hockey romance.
.
.
.
Tyler is the captain of the Seattle Hawks and has got it bad for Cindy Carter. That shouldn't be a problem. He's never had trouble getting a girl before, but this one is off-limits. Cindy Carter works for the team and they have a fraternization policy in their contracts, but worse than that is she Coach Carter's daughter. For months though he hasn't been able to get her out of his head. Watching her every morning, finding reasons to walk past her office, any reason to find himself in her orbit.
'Yes, I'm the captain and my job is to keep everyone in line, including myself. But there's something just too irresistible about his girl, even for me. It's going to take a goddamn miracle to stay away from her.'

Cindy doesn't have a great track record with men. The boy she thought for sure she would marry hurt her in the worst way and since then she just hasn't found anyone risking herself for that pain again. But the captain of the Seattle Hawks, Tyler Peterson intrigues her. He's got a reputation as a bit of a bad boy and that is not usually her type but she can't deny that he's attractive and after bumping into him (literally) she starts noticing him even more.

Now that it seems Cindy has noticed him, Tyler can't stay away. Deciding the rules don't matter he decides he needs to do something about it but has no idea what. It may be forbidden but for some reason that makes it even better. Finding a way into Cindy's life isn't just a shot at forbidden fruit though, Tyler feels things for her he's never felt before, and getting to know her only makes those feelings grow.

As they slowly fall and get in deeper they have to somehow come out to the team and the coach and hope it doesn't cost either of them their careers, but the best-laid plans don't go smoothly and they might be outed before they are ready and their new love might not survive the fallout.
'She's my safe place. With her, I can truly be myself and not have to worry about if I'm saying and doing shit right. Now I feel like that could truly be ripped away, quicker than it all started.'

Happy Reading.

Hockey romance; check! Off limits romance; check! Coach’s daughter and player; check! This book hit all the things I love in a workplace romance. The journey our MCs go through in order to be together tugged on my heartstrings and had my heart going out to both of them. Dakotah Fox continues her Seattle Hawks series with Scores of the Heart, book three in this series. From the beginning of this book I was hooked on our MCs and their romance.

Tyler takes his captain responsibilities very seriously. Always ensuring his team comes first, I loved the quiet moments he took for himself. From the beginning his infatuation with Cindy is evident, but he does battle internally. He knows who she is and the complications it can add to the team dynamic; something he would never want to mess with. Dakotah portrays this internal struggle so well and it is easy to feel for Tyler. His heart is so big and he truly cares for everyone in his circle.

Cindy, completely unaware of Tyler’s feelings, knows him as the captain who is always putting the team first. One of her dad’s players, she knows he takes his role very seriously and is the heart of the team. When Tyler’s feelings become known, the chemistry between these two is wonderful and beautiful. As she continues to open herself to Tyler, while battling the outside forces that want to keep them apart, I loved getting to see her heart and love towards the people in her own life.

Dakotah writes two very strong, loveable characters that captivated me from the very beginning. She wrote a love story that was filled with passion, chemistry, and respect, but balanced it perfectly with hardships, family dynamics, and the drama of dating your coach’s daughter. She definitely make their journey without bumps, but the commitment they have to each other is beautiful to read and has you rooting for them and their love.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Hockey romance with a forbidden side because she is the coaches daughter…yes please! I could not put this book down, it was so good.

Cindy had a sheltered childhood and hasn’t experienced as much as others her age. Her high school sweetheart cheated on her and she has a hard time trusting now. She is close with her father and sister, but her mother is stuck on her marrying the ex and her coming back to the church.

Tyler is the captain of the hockey team and has a lot of pressure and responsibilities that it comes with. He is known as the playboy, but recently split with his girlfriend of about a year when he realized he wasn’t in love with her.

Cindy catches Tyler’s eye and he kinda stalks her a bit before ever approaching her. When the two finally meet, there is an instant connection for them both. They share a steamy kiss and the both of them definitely want more and to see where it could go, but there is a no-fraternization policy or you have to submit in writing with HR for approval. Cindy is not sure how her father will take it, so they decide to keep it secret for now to see if they do want to actually date and see where this could go.

Tyler may be known as a playboy, but he is competent with Cindy when she lets him know she wants to take baby steps when it comes to being physical. The two have a hard time keeping their hands off one another though.

Just when the two are about to come clean to her father and put in with the team, everything blows up! A twist I didn’t see coming.

There was character growth on both sides. Cindy finds her voice when it comes to her mother and her ex. Tyler realizes what it is to truly be in love and is very protective over what’s his.

This is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series.

The sparks between these two are flying from their first run-in (litterally run-in)
Tyler has been secretly watching Cindy from a distance for a little while. Like it is a part of his morning routine to watch her arrive at work, also maybe talking a little more to coach face to face to make sure he passes by her office and see her.
Cindy’s two friends at work has noticed his more frequent appearance but Cindy always though of Tyler as “off-limit”
Cindy is very inexperienced compared to our refined playboy captain and was brought up in a religious invironment. Her ex cheated and she left him, but is now battleling the issues with trust, sexual experience, her mother keep trying to push him on her, while also battleling the secret relationship with Tyler, the team, the no-fraternization policy, her dad being his coach and the press always lingering. Tyler on the other hand also has his crazy ex thrown in the mix. Together they have a lot of battles to overcome we are here for all the drama. Between the sheets these two are fire. Fourth of july and all. First kissing scene in the car is so freaking hot. You just got all the feels rolling of the pages.

I enjoyed this book so much, i loved book 0,5 and 1 not so much number 2 and then this one puts this series right back on top. I love it.

Tropes:
Hockey captain - coach’s daughter
Reformed playboy
Forbidden romance
He falls first
Cheating exes
Workplace romance
Very inexperienced FMC

This is yet another 5⭐️read for me.

This book was something else. Ever since, we got those small snippets of what could be between Cindy and Tyler in the previous book in the series. I have been impatiently waiting for this book, and let me tell you, it is one to read!

I loved the trope of Cindy being the coach's daughter and Tyler being the captain of that ice hockey team. Such a good trope, in my opinion, and the forbidden and secret aspects that you automatically get from a trope like that makes books so good!

We have quite a bit of ex drama from both sides of this relationship, which made me quite a bit worried about how things would turn out in the end. But thankfully, all was resolved, and Cindy and Tyler could resume their lives together.

One thing I loved about Tyler the most was how reassuring he was with Cindy and took everything at her speed, especially as she is quite close with her beliefs, and that man said everything right. Plus, automatic bonus points with how he acted around, and with Henry, Cindy's dog, an animal lover will always capture my heart.

I stand by the fact that Dakotah is an amazing author, and this book is a clear testimony to that statement. It just seems that with each book in this series, it gets better and better, and so I am wondering how the next book is going to top this one, but I know it will in its own way.

The third book in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series and Scores of the Heart comes with a touch of the forbidden as Tyler, the Hawks captain falls for the coach’s daughter Cindy.

The overall story was well written and easy to read with a sprinkling of angst, and I found the characters engaging but at times their romance felt just a little too sweet for me. I guess I’m just a sucker for a bad boy. I did have high expectations of Tyler as he gave off slight stalkerish vibes when he watched Cindy from afar, but this was more from habit and longing than anything sinister and ultimately he was more golden retriever than dangerous doberman which was probably a good thing as Cindy would have run a mile if he came on too heavy. She was relatively inexperienced and fresh from a breakup where her ex had cheated on her so had a lot if trust issues. But just as Tyler feels he’s making progress despite all the obstacles in their path, from pressures from her overly religious mother to press attention, his ex-girlfriend turns up to throw a massive spanner in the works with the news no man wants to hear after the end of a relationship.

3🌶️ (Detailed, starts "Slow" but definitely gets dirty and detailed.)

Cindy Carter – coach’s daughter, Seattle Hawks office queen, and ex-church sweetheart – is the kind of woman who gives you hope. So kind, so strong, yet carrying deep scars from a betrayal that changed her forever.

Enter Tyler: Seattle Hawks’ hockey captain, heartthrob, and lowkey Cindy’s biggest fan. Recently single and 100% NOT over how Cindy’s smile wrecks him. She’s out of his league, off limits... and suddenly, the only one he wants.

It all starts with a spilled coffee and spirals into secret glances, forbidden meetings, and undeniable tension. The chemistry? INSANE Spice. But keeping it quiet until they figure what this is becomes harder than scoring a playoff goal.

Just when things heat up, Tyler’s thrown a curveball (or puck?) that could change everything. But Cindy and Tyler’s journey is rooted in COMMUNICATION and LOVE – the real kind. The kind that says, “I’ll stay. No matter what.”

The ending? Had my head spinning in the best way and my heart full. Cindy and Tyler’s story is messy, real, sweet, and unforgettable. One of my favorites this year!

I got this book at around midnight & had to immediately jump in! After that ending in book 2 I was excited & nervous not knowing how everything was going to play out. I was prepared for all the emotional angst & drama. But Dakotah did an amazing job at writing Scores of the Heart. I thought she did a phenomenal job w/Tyler’s character. He was truly a respectable & honorable guy w/how he handled the news that was thrown at him, I loved how he wanted to take full responsibility. But at the same time I felt sorry for Cindy. It was definitely a shock, they weren’t together long, but she was fully supportive & was willing to stand by Tyler- I thought that was pretty incredible too.
Tyler & Cindy were perfect together. They made a beautiful couple, & their relationship was incredible. I loved how no matter what drama was thrown at them or how “forbidden” it was to be together, these two were willing to fight for their love. I was so happy & excited for them w/how things eventually turned out. Dakotah wrote their story & HEA wonderfully! This was another really good read!

UGH!!! I just loved Tyler and Cindy’s incredible love story. These two had my heart in a chokehold the whole way through and I couldn’t fall in love with two characters more!

Cindy comes from a traumatic background and Tyler is the bad-boy hockey player who should be off-limits to Cindy. But there is just something wonderful and hard to describe that seems to be pulling them together.

I loved their back-and-forth banter and HOLY CRAP was that first kiss ever toe-curling to read! These two were absolutely incredible together. Their relationship was definitely slow burn but so worth the wait in the end. They have their ups and downs and damaging moments to get through, but they fought hard for their happy ending together.

Such an amazing and well written story. It was filled with such amazing characters that kept me smiling throughout. The storyline was filled with angst, drama, emotional turmoil, heartwarming moments, passion and an undeniable love between two wonderful characters.

I LOVED IT!

Forbidden romances, within hockey, are definitely one of my jams and this fit. I absolutely loved Cindy's shy tendencies and her ability to try to put herself out there. Between her relationship with her "mother" and past traumas, she has every reason to stay away from people. Tyler was the ultimate puppy dog who lightly stalked her after overhearing a phone call concerning one of her past traumas.

The way they grew and explored with each other was perfectly written. The only reason I didn't give this more stars is I feel the 3rd act drama wasn't necessary...specifically that of the bombshell dropped by Tyler's ex girlfriend. It was, technically, announced in the prologue, but I feel this plot was unnecessary as they had enough drama surrounding the forbidden aspect already. This is completely my own opinion though - others may enjoy it.

That being said, i do plan to read other books from this series since I did enjoy it overall.

Tyler, the captain of the Seattle Hawks, is a fierce leader, a kind man, respectable and absolutely in awe of Cindy Carter, the coach’s daughter and the forbidden fruit.
After a failed relationship, he becomes obsessed and very protective of Cindy.
Cindy was raised in a very religious household and doesn’t have a lot of experience with men, apart from the one who broke her heart, her family and her beliefs.
She is sweet and innocent.
When she meets Tyler, she quickly realizes that the attraction between them is unique and worth exploring.
Their relationship is forced to face a lot hardships and tribulations. They must face her family, the team’s stipulations, Tyler’s ex, Cindy’s fear and Tyler´s duties and responsibilities.
The perfect story of the most honest and true love.
I absolutely loved the 3rd book in this series.

This series has been a joy to read! I loved Cindy and Tyler so much. These two definitely deserved their happy ending.

As Captain of the Seattle Hawks, Tyler bears a lot of responsibility. It’s his job to protect his team. Suddenly he finds himself noticing the coach’s daughter everywhere he turns. Cindy is very different from other women. The more time he spends with her the more he realizes she’s the perfect one for him. However, at what cost?

I loved how protective Tyler was with Cindy. Once he finds out about everything she’s been through, those instincts seem to be magnified. Cindy has her reasons to be hesitant with relationships. I actually thought this was very realistic. I loved that they didn’t jump into a relationship too quickly. When things seemed to be completely out of control, these two stood firm with each other which made me so happy. I loved this story so much and cannot wait for the next one!

This was such a great read—this series just keeps getting better! Scores of the Heart pulled me in right from the start with the perfect mix of heat, heart, and hockey. Cindy and Tyler are hands down my favorite couple so far. Their relationship is forbidden but totally inevitable because their chemistry and tension? Off. The. Charts. 🔥

That first kiss scene in the car? One of the best I’ve read in a while—absolutely electric. The obstacles they faced felt real and heavy, but they found a way to make it work, and I loved that. Tyler is so supportive and understanding, especially with Cindy’s past. Watching him help her find her voice was genuinely touching. He’s easily my favorite male lead in the series so far.

Also… I may or may not have plotted how to steal Henry, Cindy’s dog. 😂

If you’re looking for an easy, satisfying romance binge, this series is perfect for a weekend escape. Highly recommend!

This is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks Ice hockey Series. Each story is a stand alone that will follow a different couple that has ties to the team. They can be read in any order but I do suggest starting from the beginning.

Tyler is the captain of the team and the bad boy of hockey. City is the coaches daughter and she also works for the team. They literally crash into each other and their attraction begins. between personal life barriers and team rules both Cindy and Tyler have an uphill battle. Their attraction only grows when they realize that their relationship is forbidden. Can they find a balance and solution to they r problems or will it all go down in flames?

I love a good forbidden romance and this one's no different. The sports aspect drew me in because I am a hockey fanatic. This plus the angst and drama of their relationship kept me invested and I needed to know how it was going to play out. The obstacles that both Cindy and Tyler faced were daunting but they find a way to make it work. I loved the angst and romance and don't get me started on the tension between them. If you are looking for an easy beach read this summer, this entire series is perfect for the weekend. I love these stories and can't wait for more from this author.

Scores of the Heart is the 3rd book in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series by Dakotah Fox. This book focuses on Tyler and Cindy. Although this book focuses on different characters, I would still recommend reading the other books in the series to get a better feel for the world Fox has created.

I really liked Tyler. He is older than Cindy and is the captain of the Hawks. Cindy had a sheltered upbringing and his the coach's daughter. Nothing can go wrong with the captain and the coach's daughter, right? I enjoyed the dynamics between Tyler and Cindy. I would have loved to see an extended epilogue to see where they are in the future. I am still hoping we will get that for all of the characters at some point.

If you enjoy hockey romances then I would recommend giving this book a read!

This is my first solo read by Dakotah I’ve read her duo books with her sister and loved the two out so far! This book was so good it’s a standalone interconnected book in the Seattle Hawks series. It follows the story of Cindy & Tyler. They are polar opposites and it’s so good the way they complement each other! He is so kind, gentle, and patient with her. Cindy is all about the rules and when she lets go and just lets what she wants happen it’s so beautiful to see. She becomes stronger and powerful in herself. I loved watching their relationship grow and even with all the crazy things that happen it becomes un breakable

This book was very unexpected. I wasn’t very sure about it in the beginning, but I’m so glad I kept reading because it got so much better. There’s so many of my favorite tropes wrapped into this story line- a hockey romance, coaches daughter, forbidden love, he falls first, and the whole “bad guy”/innocent girl romance. I loved that Tyler, who was the bad boy of the hockey team, fell hard and fast for an average office girl (even though she was the coaches daughter). And I also loved that even after all she’s been through, Cindy opened up to Tyler immediately and let herself enjoy getting to know and trust him. That instant connection and the way they cared for each other was my favorite part of the book. What happens with Tyler’s ex was awful and my heart broke for everyone involved, but I’m so glad it all worked out in the end.

Tyler thought that nothing could complete with his love of hockey as the game has always been the top priority in his life. Once he meets Cindy that is about to shift and once he knows that she feels the same way he isn’t about to let anything stand in their way and that includes the fact that he is his coach’s daughter.

Cindy is not only cautious when it comes to her heart, but she always tries to do what is expected of her. Tyler is everything she didn’t think she wanted in a man, but his reputation doesn’t match the man that she is getting to know however there are many challenges to overcome, both personally and professionally.

The differences between Cindy and Tyler is what makes them perfect for each other. He gives her the strength to become the woman she is destined to be while she brings out the parts of Tyler that are both swoony and sweet.

Tyler and Cindy

This story is the third book in a series and follows Tyler and Cindy. Tyler who is the captain of the hockey team and Cindy who is the coach's daughter and now works for him.
They are forbidden and very different in the way they grew up.
But of course the attraction and feelings they catch for each other aren’t ones to ignore forever. And with Tyler being a sweet and responsible guy who wants to do everything to make things work, it is beautiful.
Cindy is a strict rule follower but when she sees the possibility with Tyler she wants to take the risk to go around the rules.
Their journey is rocky and full of obstacles of different kinds. But the happy end was well deserved.

Sweet Monster…

Thinking about dating the coaches daughter gives a feel of forbidden fruit. But Tyler has been watching Cindy awhile and just can’t seem to stop thinking about her.

This was a sweet romance with some drama and angst. Cindy has had a rough go at relationships and is very sweet and innocent. Tyler takes his time with her wanting to build on a solid foundation so as not to scare her away.

Their relationship seemed to progress quickly because they both wanted to start something new with each other. There are some speed bumps along the way but they buckle down and face it all head on.

I’m really enjoying this series, each book brings a different feel and different character dynamics.

Book 3 from the Seattle hawks series, a stand alone with interconnected characters. This one is the story of the captain of the team, Tyler who finds himself infatuated with the coach’s daughter, Cindy. A forbidden romance and a 7 year age gap doesn’t seem to deter these two. Tyler is so patient and understanding of Cindy’s emotional trauma, a real golden retriever! Cindy is so strong, and to be able to stay standing after everything is the past and how it’s panning out with Tyler, she’s amazing! It’s steamy, no third act break up and has a great supporting friendship group for them both to lean into. Bring on Jays story!

Scores Of The Heart is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series!! I have loved the forbidden aspect of this with the coach's daughter and a hockey player. Dakotah Fox created an amazing series with great character development for both MCs.

Tyler is the captain of the Seattle Hawks and as a captain he has to be the protector as well as the leader of the team. When his leadership is clouded over by the woman he can't stop thinking about. Except this woman is one he can't have no matter since she is the coach's daughter, Cindy. Cindy is currently working for the Seattle Hawks is completely off limits and oblivious to his slight obsession with her. After over hearing a conversation about her, Tyler might be ready to risk it all for a girl that barely knows he exists.

Slow burn, dual timeline, hockey romance, with an age gap. He is a reformed bad boy hockey player on her dad’s team and she is an inexperienced and younger colleague. They quickly become infatuated with each other and fall head over heels. Besides their romance being forbidden, they have things that have to be worked through before things can fully happen without fear of the uncertain. Their story is definitely full of its ups and downs and I did struggle with how it all played out. I enjoyed their characters and that they got their HEA but how they got there wasn’t my favorite. I know a lot of people loved this one and I am glad. It just wasn’t for me. Nothing wrong with that, just my personal opinion.🙂

Seppy's 5-Star Review:

This one is book 3 in the Seattle Hawks Ice Hockey series and can be read as a standalone. But know that this one does give away some of the spoilers from previous books. I read this one as a standalone and could still read the first two books. This is Tyler and Cindy's story.
Cindy's mom is very religious and Cindy had a strict upbringing. When her parents divorced she went to live with her dad the Seattle Hawk’s hockey coach. Tyler is the captain of the Seattle Hawks team that Cindy's dad coaches. Cindy works in the offices for the Seattle Hawks and Tyler sees her walking in and is instantly attracted to her and wants to know more about her. But she is off limits. These two have amazing chemistry making it hard to stay away from each other. These two have a rough go of it with things out of their control. So many roadblocks will these two throw in the towel or fight for their love for each other?

I enjoyed reading this one. I was hooked and read this one cover to cover. I loved these two chemistry and I was rooting for them from the start. It was a great read. One-click this one today!
