Happy Mum Handbook: Free Yourself from Motherhood Stress

Rate this book
"I threw a loaf of bread across the room and slammed a nearby bread knife on the kitchen bench so hard that it bounced off the bench and narrowly missed my son's head. I screamed, 'I HATE MY LIFE' and ran out of the kitchen into my bedroom, crying uncontrollably... My life had become a repetitive cycle of getting angry, losing the plot, feeling guilty and then hating myself for behaving this way...I realised that no fairy godmother was going to come out and wave her magic wand and suddenly make me happy. So who else could be my advocate for change The answer Only I could." An excerpt from The Happy Mum Handbook This book may be the most important book you'll read as a mum. The method outlined in the book is a very useful one. However, it doesn't add too much new information after reading the 28 days tame your temper challenge.

I found this book extremely useful for helping me unpick what is going on in my mind when mothering is getting me down, and giving me a new way to look at the problem. I am surprised it has not been more popular as I think it has a very wide application. I'm always recommending it to people. If you are feeling like you're on the wrong track, or that you should be doing things differently, or feeling differently, this book might help you get at the underlying beliefs and habits and change the way you think, and the way you react, to the inevitable challenges of raising children.
