What a fantastic read! A fun, super sexy and gorgeously romantic rockstar, childhood-crush, close proximity, sex-lessons-with-no-strings, fake relationship romance, this novella sucked me in and didn’t let go, and I loved it so much!
Faina and Dex went to high school together, then their lives were even more tied when her twin sister married his best friend. Though they both crushed on each other madly, nothing ever happened between them and their relationship since then has been mostly antagonistic. But now, they find themselves both betrayed by now-exes, nursing wounded hearts and needing an escape. They wind up both running to the same luxury cabin in the snowy mountains, and end up stuck there together over Christmas week. What begins as snark soon turns steamy as Faina agrees to be playboy rockstar Dex’s girlfriend to get the press off his back, in return for him teaching her how to be more adventurous in bed. It works for both of them, for lots of reasons, and they dive on in with no strings, and a plan for it to finish at the end of their week together.
We all know where the story is going, but the predictability is part of the excitement – knowing what’s coming and watching it unfold. And OMG, this book is sizzling! The chemistry is electric, the sexy time is dirty and intense, and the emotion is just gorgeous! Faina and Dex have always had feelings for each other, but it’s Dex that falls hardest and fastest, and what a beautiful ride it is seeing their intense physical connection become so much more.
The dynamic between these two is lots of fun. They laugh and tease, they flirt and dirty talk, and they are there for each other in exactly the way they need. I loved seeing them share their vulnerabilities and lift each other up. They are so freaking perfect for each other!
I enjoyed every moment of this book. It made me laugh, swoon and fan myself, and it finishes beautifully with a happy ending that let me smiling and feeling completely loved up and satisfied.
This is my third J. Saman book in the last week, and I am so in love with her characters, her writing, and her beautifully romantic stories. This is another absolute winner, and I loved it.

4.5⭐️ burned through this spicy novella in a day! Loved the characters and story.
Dex and Faina were both cheated on and publicly embarrassed so they want to get away over the holidays. They are each told they can use their sister/friends holiday rental they won’t be using - only Dex and Faina do not know the other will be there.
They agree to help each other out while they are there together. Dex needs to improve his public image and Faina needs reassurance she isn’t a bore in bed.

This was a fun little read. I'm not sure I can pinpoint the exact reason why, but it didn't quite feel like Saman's other books to me... I still enjoyed it for what it was, though!

Argumento:
Querido Papá Noel, lo único que quiero para Navidad es que mi apasionada aventura navideña con el chico malo de la estrella del rock no me rompa el corazón.
¿Es demasiado pedir? Porque estoy en problemas.
Después de que la aventura de mi novio se convirtiera en un evento público, divulgando sus fechorías a todos nuestros compañeros de trabajo y clientes, estaba en un aprieto.
Así que cuando el marido de mi hermana enferma de gripe y ella me ofrece su alquiler navideño en Jackson Hole, Wyoming, parece la oportunidad perfecta para escapar.
Eso es hasta que llego y encuentro nada menos que a Dex Chapman, el mejor amigo del marido de mi hermana, y mi amor de la secundaria haciendo lo mismo que yo.

Mi humilde opinión:
Romance navideño, de enemigos a amantes, relación falsa, polos opuestos, chica buena-chico malo, crush del otro desde la secundaria, cabaña nevada, atracción instantánea, proximidad forzada.
Dex es una estrella de rock que descubre a su prometida engañándolo con otro hombre y de paso lo arruina con mentiras en las redes sociales. Faina resulta que le ocurre lo mismo, se queda sin empleo después de descubrir que su novio la engañó con otra mujer y todos los invitados de la empresa en la que trabaja escucharon decir que era aburrida. Los dos heridos necesitan irse lejos del caos durante las vacaciones y terminan en una cabaña en las montañas nevadas solo que no sabían que el otro ya estaba allí…
Es el primer libro que leo de esta autora y no será el ultimo, amé Holiday fling!
Esta es una lectura divertida con mucha vibra navideña, tenía humor y los momentos sucios sexys justos, los románticos me hicieron sonreír como tonta y Dex ya esta en mi lista de novios de libros.
Me encantaron Dex y Faina desde el momento en que se encuentran en la cabaña. Después de que dejan la animosidad de lado por un mal entendido y cuentan la razón por la que fueron a la cabaña, aceptan ayudarse mutuamente. Se dan cuenta de que pueden confiar en el otro, que pueden soltarse y ser ellos mismos, compartiendo locuras y superando algunos obstáculos hasta atreverse a convertir su aventura de navidad en algo real. Fueron dos semanas juntos pero no se sintió un romance apresurado ya que ellos se conocían desde niños y fueron recordando esos momentos en que eran el crush del otro y nunca se lo pudieron decir hasta ese momento. Mas se sintió como que ese era su momento adecuado para confesarse por fin. Aplaudí a su hermana Ava porque si no fuera por ella ese encuentro quizás no hubiera sido posible para que Dex y Faina se dijeran las cosas que nunca pudieron decirse. Qué mejor lugar que quedarse atrapados en una cabaña en medio la nieve?
En definitiva este es uno de los romances que más disfrute estas vacaciones. Sonreí y reí todo el tiempo pasando paginas.
Sin dudas la propuesta de matrimonio desastrosa sigue siendo la de Will y Ava, la de Dex y Faina fue mas trágica, por dios ese anillo al agua!

Dex had a crush on Faina since high school, but he never acted on it; to distract his girlfriend from his feelings, he decided to talk bad about Faina, and they didn't see each other after that. Dex was a musician, so after his public breakup, he needed a place to relax and lay low; when his friend offered him a place, he knew it was exactly what he needed until he got there, and Faina was there too.
Faina worked in PR, and after breaking up with her boyfriend, she didn't know what to do or what her future held. She had to stay with her boyfriend for the holidays, but after realizing he had cheated on her, she had nowhere to go until her sister offered her a vacation home since she and her husband couldn't make it. At first, Faina and Dex had some disagreements, but Faina eventually let Dex stay with her and spend the holidays together.
Dex was still attracted to Faina, and after her ex called her boring in bed, she accepted Dex's proposal to explore their attraction and take some sex lessons while they were together. Their chemistry was undeniable, so I loved reading about their steamy scenes and how their relationship grew after some alone time. Faina still had some reservations about opening her heart to Dex, but after their time together, they couldn't deny how they felt, especially Dex, who wanted a future with Faina.
It was nice to read how Dex finally shared his feelings for Faina with the world and didn't hesitate to show Faina that he wanted to share his life with her. They found their forever together, and I loved how they ended up right where they were supposed to be.

I absolutely ate this up! This is the perfect little holiday novella. A British rock star bad boy with a filthy mouth, body to back it up and a quirky, sarcastic, and sometimes clumsy sense of humour to round him out as an absolute dream boat of a man! Add in the tattoos and the guitar and you have yourself a complete package.
Faina and Dex find themselves stuck together in a holiday rental after a mix up that turns out not quite the mix up they thought it was! Both are getting over break ups where their partners cheated but have always crushed on each other, so when they argue about who gets to stay and those sparks reignite and fly off in every direction… well, the spice be spicin!!
I loved this book. It’s sexy, it’s spicy, it’s fun and flirty but also has that deep passion and connection you feel from Julie’s full length novels. The banter is friggin hilarious (as Julie’s books always are!) and had me laughing so much. These two bounce off each other so well.
I couldn’t get enough of Dex, he really had me in a chokehold! I’d love a full length book with these two because I absolutely couldn’t get enough of them. Probably because I’m English myself and reading lines of our humour and daily spoken words had me swooning hard for him, I loved his clumsy humour, his hatred of the cold weather, the constant swearing in normal sentences just set me off big style into big guffaws of laughter! Also, his mouth is 🥵🔥 And a man who will do anything for his queen will always win my heart.

fun holiday read
Dex oh my gosh If he isn’t a cheeky bugger. He is the quintessential rockstar insanely good looking cheeky British rocker. Faiana Is so funny and quarky, sassy and has no problems going toe to toe with Dex. I also love the fact that Dex has no filter. He says whatever he’s thinking so that makes for some hilarious conversations. This is such a fun holiday novella. Full of so many laughs and hilarious moments but some heartfelt moments too. They have known each other since they were in high school and apparently have had feelings for each other this whole time and we’re in denial so watching them admit their true feelings over this short period of time was so much fun. I’m so glad they got there happily ever after.

After both having been cheated on in a very public fashion at Christmas time, Faina and Dex are offered the same cabin to get away. This cabin was rented out by her sister and brother-in-law Will, Dex’s best friend, but when Will gets the flu the cabin is the hideaway they both need. Little did they know the other would be there. Dex and Faina have know each other for years but both had the same thoughts about each other - somewhat of a love/hate relationship, although her sister and Will know differently. Soon Faina and Dex have a plan to help with one another’s images. Will this plan also help them find forever love???

I really loved this one! For a shorter story, this one packed a punch. It hot all the right spots with hot spice, endless cuteness and cozy chats. You could clearly see the relationship develop in both POVs and the plot line was well developed. These two were so similar and so different at the same time and they just fit together perfectly.
I loved that they were able to trauma bond and reminisce on their younger days together. Set at Christmas, there was the perfect amount of cute holiday themed activities and references which is perfect to read this time of year.
I read this one in a few hours over two days - it was really hard to put down! Should you read this book? Yes, yes, yes!

Delightfully fun! Deliciously Spicy! Decadently sweet! This story was so much fun to read! Entertaining, with witty and snarky banter, sizzling chemistry, past crushes, passion, and love! I laughed, I swooned and I fell hard for these two! I was mesmerized, obsessed, I couldn’t put this down and devoured it 8n one sitting!

Absolutely delicious, Miss Julie!
What a delicious treat it is to enjoy one of J. Saman’s yummy stories!! She knows exactly what it is to get these steamy romances right - everything about this story was perfect. Dex and Faina were perfect for each other having both been through a cheating scandal. They had both been pining for each other for years. Both had wanted to continue the relationship after the agreed to time frame, but were uncertain how to do it exactly. Just all really feel good this that added up to staying together. I FLOVED it!

I love this one! Dex agrees to help Faina feel more confident in bed and she agrees to help improve his image.... but obviously these two are far too good together and cannot possibly stop after the agreed time is over!
I love all of Julie's books, without fail! Such a great book!

When the holiday fling leads to forever...
I loved this book! Dex was just the right amount of dirty and Faina was the perfect good girl. Both dealing with breakups after being cheated on, they run away to Wyoming mountains for Christmas being setup by their besties. The "one bed," "enemies to lovers," and "second chance" tropes were definitely troping! Being a novella, only 152 pages, the story didn't feel rushed. The spice was 🌶🌶🌶/5. One of my favorite holiday books this season. ❤️

This is the story of good girl, Faina and rock star, Dex, who both end up in a forced proximity situation when the both end up at the same cabin for Christmas after both getting cheated on by their respective partners. They go from pretending to hate each other to Dex becoming her sex coach, then eventually to more.
Holiday Fling is a super steamy novella, and there is A LOT of steam, but this doesn’t detract from the overall story, which is fun and oftentimes funny, as well as being poignant. I read this book quickly, not just because it’s shorter, but because it was super enjoyable.

Holiday love and so much fun!
Loved Holiday Fling! This book left me smiling! J. Saman does it again! Humor, spice, and all the feels in between! Perfect read!
Favorite line- “I feel like I woke up in some crazy Hallmark holiday film-obviously, a smutty one- but one where fantasy takes flight and reality is suspended and the girl spends the week with the world-famous, insanely gorgeous, and incredibly good-in-bed rock star.”💗💗

A Perfect Holiday story
I loved this book so much. It deserves 10 stars. They are a fantastic couple. The chemistry is strong and you want them together. Dex, the hot rockstar, has always wanted her and with a push he gets his chance. They are funny, sweet and so good for each other. Dex's grand gesture will make you swoon. It is a wonderful holiday story of 2 people finding love.
