A step by step walkthrough of a rather preliminary M&A financial model in Excel. The case is a real-world case involving Office Depot and Office Max. While it is not very comprehensive in terms of a typical M&A process, it is very useful on learning how to model. I recommend this book to students, investment bankers, and private equity professionals who are not that familiar with M&A modeling.

More of a basic modeling guideline. The chapters are quite thorough from the process perspective, however, there are not many insights into MnA strategies.
