I fell for the off-limits hockey star.
Got pregnant with his baby.
Now, the world is trying to rip my heart away.

They told me not to fall in love with Beckett Daniels.
WHOOPS.
Looks like I’m paying the price.

Because Beck has some skeletons in his closet.
To be fair, so do I.
So I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised that they’ve all come out to play.

But I’m pregnant with his baby now.
We have a future to fight for.
The question is… will we make it that far?

Im not going to lie, I did enjoy book one much more. The fmc started to annoy me a bit, it took her so long for her to be honest with beck and I started to skim the rest. It was still written amazingly and I will definitely picking up this authors next books!!!!

Well... Book #2 in the Seattle Wave series and the conclusion of Sloan and Becks story. I'm not sure if this series will continue with other players but I'd love to see that but maybe only 1 book instead of broken down in 2. This is another long book, 350 pages, and I think that it could have been made as 1 book if some parts were cut out. There were some aspects that I could have done without. Not only is she dealing with the Bloodhound and stalker, but now she's dealing with Vivian drama. Normally OWD doesn't bother me, but I think it was too much on top of all of the other stuff. But, I'm happy that Sloan finally got her head out of her ass, because she was starting to annoy me for pushing Mr.Perfect away, all while he's being the perfect cinnamon roll MMC. Still though she was a strong character, to be going through all of that while being pregnant is a lot. And I'm happy everything worked out in the end. I want them to have a hockey team of babies.

⚠️You should stop reading here if you don't like spoilers. This is just some of my thoughts/questions about the book as I was reading.

SOME OF MY THOUGHTS/FAVORITE THINGS⬇️
▪️ Sloan, you're having a baby with this man... Tell him your shit and let him take care of you. If not, sign me up to take your place.
▪️ I can't stand Viv. Like I said, for some reason her BS bothered me and I could have done without it. Especially because it was just threats. I was wondering if the threats would happen, and if the sex tape would show up. And how did she finally get fired? How did he prove that he needed a restraining order? I was left with a lot of questions about this aspect of the story.
▪️How the hell is this stalker getting around all these guards and cameras?
▪️I love his teammates. They are true ride or die, not only standing up to the GM for him but also going on a stalker hunt.
▪️I want Dix and Colin to have their own book. I want to see Monroe with Colin. In the end there is a novella about Dix.
▪️This is my BIGGEST issue... Beck gets his ass beaten by the stalker, Sloan mentions how there is so much blood, he's swollen, etc but when they go to the hospital she's the only one who gets looked at and I'm pretty sure he's the one who drove. See exhibit A ⬇️
"Becks looks up at me and smiles. Well, the half of his mouth that still works right smiles, at least. The other half is swollen to shit and it might be a while before it's functional again."
▪️In the end Zane is a part of the team, but initially I wasn't sure why the death of his girlfriend is mentioned. Makes me wonder (and hope) that he'll get his story and a second chance at a HEA.
▪️Well...I guess the Bloodhound is good for something.

HOLY BECK ⬇️ He has a way with words... YUM
🤤 "Then I will put you over my knee and I will spank your ass until you understand how seriously I need to be take." -Beck ... "That's hook, line and sinker" -Sloan (GIRLLLL!! SAME!!)
🤤"You're going to come on my tongue as many times as I want until you realize that I'm the best damn thing that's ever happened to you."
🤤 "Oh, you little vixen you. I know what you're doing.".... "Making that pussy tighter, trying to squeeze the cum out of my dick."

Sad to be giving this review. I fell in love with this story and the characters in the first book.
There sexual tension was off the charts and there spicy sense were some of the best... (the part with the toy and his phone 🥵).
I loved how they bantered and didnt put up with eachothers shit but fell so hard for eachother, almost without noticing it was anything but lust, but then just excepting they belonged to eachother.
I normal don't even like books about playboys that start off with them sleeping around in the fmc's face but the writing got me turned to this book.

But then the second book hit. This book.

I already wasnt a big fan that she has a stalker and a loan shark problem. I feel like it's to much for 1 book it have 2 big issues. (Technically that will make 4 when his secrets come out and hers becouse of the lying). But omg the fact this book has them so willfully ignoring the obviouse and not questioning eachother in a way that makes sense. The level of avoidance is just flustrating instead of giving tension and intregue to the story it just made me mad at them. No one would be so nonchalant like.. oh you knew where he kidnapped and brought me to.. weird but not gonna ask how?? ... you got kidnapoed not gonna ask why. Or explain why I think it happened and how I found you... what??
The fmc also does a complete 180 that goes way fare past just trying to protect him from her issues by pushing him away. She just turns into a bitch I hate who is a jerk to everyone and make stupid decisions. It felt like some conversations and things they had, and had decided in the first book were forgotten and the author acted like they had never happened in the writing of the second book. Also denying the readers the change to see her find out she was pregnant was weird nkt becouse it couldn'thave been dine but more so becouse the sick she was showing she was feeling, did not fit pregnancy symptoms and she was just seemingly starving herself out of stuborness so jt seemed to come from knowherre dispite the sunopsis prepairing us for it at some point. Thw baby us also a small plot point not as bug as the synopsis led us to believe. Also adding another Big event now were at number 5 all in 1 story.
I did not finish this book. Got to 67% and quit. I feel like there ultimately was to many ideas in one book and it felt like the author just didn't know how to end it so kept adding and adding to try and find a conclusion that should have been easier to find. Like a tv series when they have 19 seasons but lost the plot at season 10.
It did not need to be 2 books. Definitely gives the "we are spliting this for maximum profits" vibe by doing that too.

I loved the first book kills me to review it this way but i honestly feel like this is was not it.

MMC/FMC- Beck and Sloan
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Contemporary Romance
Sub Genre- Sports Romance (hockey)
Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋 they do the thing and use the P word
Series? Y
Safety? Y
Triggers- Explicit erotic content, extortion, stalking, language, violence
Tropes- Enemies to Lovers, Pucked Up, Workplace Romance, Simply Mad About The Mob, Forbidden Love, Surprise Pregnancy, Forced Proximity.
What I thought - these two books could have- and should have- been edited down into one volume. I talked about that in my review for the previous book, so I’m not going to go into that here. Book one built the story up nicely, but this book didn’t deliver.
First, what I liked: the love story was strong. And the zexytime scenes were super hawt. And Viv was so awful that it was so much fun to hate her.
What I didn’t- this book was not only a love story, but had suspense elements as well. Unfortunately, those elements left questions. The leak is never revealed, so the traitor is still out there, The Vivian situation is suddenly resolved offscreen when we meet her replacement and it is mentioned that the Hero is suing. But we never got the comeuppance moment or the confrontation that the story really needed after building up her villainy. It was anticlimactic and cheated the reader. The stalker is revealed, but how the stalker kept accessing the house is some high-level Michael Myers stuff; like a horror flick serial killer, he manages to get past all surveillance and cameras and it’s never explained how.
I’d give the love story a 4/5 and the rest of the plot a 3/5, for 3.5 stars. Rounded up to 4 because I can’t give half stars on this site.
I would read other stories by this author because they are pretty solid when it comes to a love story. I just feel that the suspense portion needs work.

Book 2 was full of surprises starting with stalkers and kidnapp. And a surprise bump on the road of the Hockey God Beckett Daniels and Hot PA Sloan Reeves. Ugly past comes into the beautiful love story and makes tragic events, will the security be enough to save Sloan? Or will love of Beck will end everyone on the way of Sloan? Highly recommended for Hockey lovers and sucker for HEA, friendships and LOVE. Get to know each and every character of the book, small sets of people who play major roles. Will the puck boy be able to win the hearts of sensitive sloan? Read it for urself.
Loved this book overall. Fantastic read of book 2.💓.

My 4 star review is based on the story line and the characters. I like both Sloan and Beck. I think Sloan let her secrets drag out too long, but so did Beck. The suspense was good and ran at a decent pace. The story itself needs work. It lacks cohesiveness in things regarding the security people. It needs tightening up in regard to Viv. Is she fired? Who does she truly work for? Where did she go when suddenly the new girl came on the scene? The time-line also needs work because things feel disjointed. Did Sloan really get a job with Holly? We see no proof of this and how would that even work with her in a committed relationship with Beck? Good story, good characters needs work.

📚Review~ Blindside Saint
🖋Author~ Mariah Wolfe
🖋Genre: sports, hockey, sports romance, contemporary romance
⭐️Rating 5/5

Beckett: I’m about to tell her I love her. I can feel the words buzzing on my tongue. They taste so, so sweet.
Sloan: I have to believe I deserve Beckett Daniels. Because I want his love so bad it hurts to breathe.

Blindside Saint is the continuation of Beckett and Sloan's story. And, I absolutely loved it! They are incredible together as Beckett handles Sloan's baby surprise with ease and humor. I'm impressed with the way he so easily accepted her and their pregnancy. With Sloan at his side, he's maturing into an amazing man who is upstanding, willing to support the woman he loves no matter who is determined to ruin them both.

Lordy...

This book, the continuation of Blindside Sinner, did not disappoint at all. I know I found the first book hard to put down and thought it was impossible to be topped... Boy was I wrong.

It's not often to be rendered speechless, but I have. Just everything about this series in general was just -chef's kiss-.

To Mariah (if you read this): thank you! Thank you for this series. I was in such a terrible slump at the end of the year nothing seemed to get me out of it. This series effectively ended that slump. So thank you!.

Okay! May contain spoilers……

I think this book dragged on. I was frustrated with how many secrets they were keeping from each other especially Sloan. And I can’t believe I am saying this but way too much sex. Most of the book nothing was getting resolved. Then when I thought the culprit was the witch - Beck’s ex it ended being someone that was hardly part of the story line 🙄. It was dumb not to use the ex. She had the means, motive, and was bitter and evil enough to pull it off. Well good luck and happy reading because over all it wasn’t a bad book just a little misguided l.

This book is terrible. DNF. For being the 2nd book of a duet, neither MCs resemble themselves from the 1st book. FMC went from a strong, independent, likable woman with a troubled past into a bratty, commitment-phobic child, who lies to her partner/love interest unnecessarily for the pretense of plot; and can't seem to figure out that ignoring her problems won't make them go away.
Meanwhile, MMC goes from party f-boy to simp, who all of a sudden, has always wanted to be a family man, despite never having attempted to find that life for himself before.
The first book, Blindside Sinner was good, if a little long. The lead-up made this book an abysmal disappointment.

Picks up right where Blindside Sinner ended. Twists and turns continue…

Dad that won’t win Dad of the year
A stalker
An Ex that’s a manipulator
Best friends who keep you true to yourself

Beck and Sloan are still dealing with their own issues and secrets but they have something they now share forever.

Poor Beck .. tries to protect her but that dang stalker. I never even came close to guessing the right person.

This conclusion has it all….

This is the second and conclusion of Beck and Sloan’s’ story, and what a mindblowing and perfect ending this story is.
This is a well written story which has an enemies / lovers, secret baby, fake marriage, drama, suspense, secrets, mystery, romance, intrigue, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner, which had me on tenterhooks throughout.

Secrets get revealed and shared, and answers to many questions that were still looming. So much happened in part 2 & that’s not including all of the spicy scenes. I love how vivid the characters are described. I swoon thinking of all of the different types of smiles Beck gives Sloan.
Be sure to ready the Blindside devil novella too. Dixon & Holly’s story is soooo good.

I loved this duet. The first book had my hooked and I couldn’t get enough. This one was good but some chapters were unnecessary and repetitive. I did find myself annoyed with the overplayed secret of money owed. The situation with Viv seemed huge and could have gone so many ways but just kind of was forgotten about with just a small mention at the end. I did enjoy this book very much and will read from this author again but there were a few tweaks that could have made it better without me having to skim a few repetitive chapters.

This is the second book in the Seattle Wave Hockey duet and I was as impressed with it as I was with the first book. Duets tend to drag a bit but I felt that that the story didn't flag at all. 3 stars.

Unlike its predecessor, this one felt really rushed as far as storyline pacing went. It also really did too much to set up the stalker…but didn’t do enough to explain HOW they were doing what they were doing.

Also some of the storylines that started in the first book, like Viv the ex, fizzled away in this one…

Overall, it felt super rushed to get to the HEA.

great story!

I really enjoyed the story told between the 2 books both Blindside Sinner and Saint. It let the plot develop and kept my interest where I wanted to read them both in one sitting. Beckett Daniels certainly shows how a past never defines you and a tiger can change his stripes. The attraction between the characters is evident from the start.

it’s OK

The First book was really Good. This second book is just OK. It dragged a lot. I’m not sure if I missed stuff, or if things really didn’t line up with what was written previously in the book. It was almost like 2 different authors, or maybe editors. Either way it was ok.
