This book was a game changer for me. Things I had been struggling with especially Wonder Woman Syndrome are addressed in a down to earth friendly way. I would finish my reading each day feeling refreshed and closer to God. I highly recommend it.
I recently finished reading “Lean Into Grace” by Stacey Pardoe. I had the fantastic opportunity to participate on her book launch team. and I must say, I absolutely loved it. This book is a beautiful reminder of the power of grace and how it can transform our lives when we choose to lean into it.
Stacey’s journey, interwoven with relatable struggles and triumphs, became a beacon of hope, reminding me that God’s grace remains a constant anchor even in life’s storms.
What truly warmed my heart was her transparency and vulnerability. She doesn’t shy away from sharing her doubts, fears, and imperfections, creating a warm, welcoming space where I feel seen and understood.
It was as if she held a mirror to my soul, reflecting the anxieties and longings common to all of us. Yet, instead of leaving me wallowing in self-pity, she offered a gentle hand, urging me to “lean into grace.”
Stacey’s message isn’t one of sugary platitudes. She acknowledges the challenges we face, the burdens we carry, and the moments when faith feels fragile. I thought, “That sounds like me,” or “You too, I thought it was just me.” But within these challenges, she points us toward the transformative power of God’s love.
Through her journey, she reminds us that true strength lies in vulnerability, forgiveness in letting go, and joy in embracing the present moment, imperfections and all.
Each chapter felt like I was sitting face to face at her kitchen table, sharing blueberry muffins and a warm cup of tea on a chilly evening, offering comfort, encouragement, and practical steps to deepen my faith.

Find out what happened when Stacey was hit in the face with a flying banana... I definitely recommend Lean Into Grace. I received an advanced reader copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
This book is such a beautiful invitation from the Author to surrender all of our striving and self-efforts in so many areas of our lives. Stacey writes in such a gentle, vulnerable and compassionate way and her words ministered to my heart. This momma of three sweet and energetic kids does a great job of inviting the reader into her joy filled moments as well as the sad, scary and stressful ones, too, as she navigates life with Jesus.
As you turn each page, the realization will wash over you that this Author has truly been with Jesus. She treasures the lessons she learned from Him and her heart is for you to benefit from them, too. This book is also very practical so you never feel like something is beyond your grasp.
I love how Stacey doesn’t just advise us to stop the striving and lean into God’s grace. In every chapter, she takes your hand and describes HOW to lean into His grace for that situation. One example is her steps for returning to peace when our buttons are pushed.
God also brought me confirmation several times in this book. Like Stacey, I love entering into the stories I find in God’s Word as I’m reading. In chapter seven, Stacey reminds us of the importance of spiritual disciplines like spending time in His Word. But, in addition to this, we can cultivate a sacramental mindset with our hobbies.
Our favorite activities can become a spiritual discipline when we learn to pursue them with Jesus. I LOVE this because the Holy Spirit does this exact same thing with me when I’m painting, swimming or hiking.
Such a beautiful book that I will be returning to multiple times in the upcoming years. Thank you Stacey for this gift you have given us. Just beautiful ... 🩷
If you talk with anyone with a religious or spiritual background about grace, every person will likely be able to give you a definition of some sort (often learned long ago). They especially associate with the date they chose to believe in Christ and relate it to salvation. If you ask them how they apply it to their actual daily life, it may be harder for them to describe because too often they don’t have that clear in their understanding. As a result, a person can live with wounds of many kinds, as well as guilt and shame about all the times he or she has messed up since that monumental day.
Stacey Pardoe’s new release 1/31/24, Lean into Grace, takes the reader on an in-depth journey into all those untidy, messy corners of our lives where we have failed or been unable to live by the grace Christ offers through vulnerably sharing her own journey and the truth of scripture to apply grace to those places we may not talk about or try to forget or ignore.
Her words resonate with truth and gentle nudging to stop hiding those things we find in the topics she covers in sixteen chapters. These are chapters you will want to digest and read seeking what the Lord wants to show you rather reading them with the perspective that keeps those corners of your life messy. Questions at the end of each chapter are given for further reflection to go deeper into the theme of that chapter.
Life can be completely overwhelming at times, not even because there are major things happening, but just because our day to day grind can be way too much. I loved how Stacey tackled so many of the different things we struggle with: fear, grumpiness, body image, Wonder Woman syndrome, etc… in such an honest way. This is a great read for anyone struggling to lean into everything other than grace, and it would be a fantastic choice for a small group study.
Stacey Pardoe draws you right into each chapter with her own story of struggle and how God’s grace leads her to hopeful and healthy solutions. Her examples are so relatable, it makes the antidote palpable. Her concept of grace is spot on. It’s clear she is the perfect person to be guiding the reader from will-power to God’s power working in them. Grab a highlighter and settle in. You will glean much from this book!

Stacey's book, Lean Into Grace, graciously beckons readers to rest in God's abundant grace.
