As the Teen Design Diva competition winds down to the final challenge, tensions heat up between Chloe and her lifelong rival a girl who will stop at nothing to win. With her new mentor by her side, does Chloe have what it takes to make it to the top and win the fashion internship of her dreams? Or will her efforts fall short of her design destiny?
Margaret Gurevich's award-winning Chloe by Design series was billed as a “Project Runway for Teens,” and received praise from School Library Journal, VOYA, Booklist, and Kirkus. She is also the author of books in Penguin Workshop’s Who Was series. Her middle grade novel, Ain’t It Funny (Penguin Workshop, October 2024), has been named a PJ Our Way pick. Her new novel, Yasha’s Amazin’ Bar Mitzvah (Penguin Workshop March 2026), received positive reviews from Kirkus, Booklist, and Publishers Weekly. When not writing, Margaret enjoys hiking, spending time with her family and cat, reading, and streaming too many shows.
Chloe enters the final rounds of the reality show competition. Mean girl Nina is at it again. Will Chloe fold under the pressure? This is book #4 in the series. I was ultimately confused when I got to the end of this one because it "wrapped things up." I had to do some research to find out what books 5-8 would be about. I don't want to say because it would ruin it for you.
Again - super cute books if you are into fashion. Appropriate for grades 6-8 as well. I just wish they were condensed into one book.
