What a great ending to a fun little series. When I first picked these up, I was attracted to the beautiful illustrations. But the more I read, I really started to enjoy the story.
These are so short and easy to read. I totally recommend these for middle grade and reluctant readers. They are simple with an interesting plot- and of course the illustrations are breathtaking and were my favorite part!
The end felt a little bit rushed, but I already knew how these books were; concise, simple, fun. I think the concept, the plot, the characters, everything had and have a lot of potential. It could have been done in a more YA fantasy way, and it would've been fantastic. Overall, I loved it, such an easy read and fast-paced. I wish there were more books in this series. Also, I thought it was going to end different, but I still liked it, kinda sad and nostalgic but real and fair.
This series were so enjoyable and I'll definitely re-read them some time soon. I will miss them...
