As a fan of the Mythology, how can you not like it? Especially after reading Illiad and Odyssey, it just fits so well.
Now next to Ovid :)

Verhältnismäßig einfach zu lesen, obwohl ich mich in der zweiten Hälfte deutlich öfter in der Handlung verloren habe und zurückfinden musste. Hängt vermutlich damit zusammen, dass sich die erste Hälfte mit vorangegangenen Geschichten überschneidet, Illias, Odyssee etc. und man sich durch die schon mehr mit dem Thema beschäftigt hat. Sehr spannendes Ende. Es ist aber oft nicht ersichtlich wer hier die „Guten“ oder die „Bösen“ sind. Es ist oft auch nichtklar für wen man „rooten“ soll. Aeneas wirkt nicht immer wie der Held, zumindest ist es, auch vor dem Hintergrund des Autors, oft nicht ersichtlich für wen man halten soll. Ein sehr zentraler Leitfaden, der sich eigentlich durch das gesamte Buch zieht, wird in zwei Sätzen vernichtet.
Aber sehr coole Leseerfahrung

Vaňorného překlad se nakonec docela dobře čte, když si na něj čtenář zvykne... a to dílo je prostě nadčasové, tady nemá smyslu debatovat o původnosti, to je originální dílo, velký umělý epos, ano, variuje Homéra, ale není to tupé a strojené a zejména krvavé boje na konci jsou výrazné a barvité a ukazují hrůzy války.

Musela jsem si hodně zvykat na styl překladu. Ze začátku mě to vůbec nebavilo, ale chytla jsem se a ke konci jsem se nemohla odtrhnout. Ráda bych pronikla i do tajů originálu, snad se k tomu někdy dostanu
