easy read. i liked that both ml and fl had their own lives, hobbies pretty much established but when they got together they became a powerhouse couple. no misunderstanding, just their own internal issues. she wanted a job with spca other than her grooming business, learn to cook. he wanted to find his family since he grew up in an orphanage, also trying to overcome his survivor's guilt from his military time. he found his uncle and im glad he didn't take the surname. instead used it as his middle. lancelot shane would have been too much lol. i also didn't like that they now share an anniversary date with her mom. i know my age is showing but fucking on the kitchen countertop is a huge no. used libby to read even though the isbn shows up for the kindle version odd

Typical story line of love at first sight; nothing special about it. The highlight was bringing attention to senior citizens with advanced dementia and how they suffer without friends or family to look after them. This is something we could all try harder to remember.
Jolie obviously lacks confidence and is considered the screw up in the family. Lance has to battle his own shadows from the near & distant past. The ending is the typical happily ever after.
