5 "Must Read" ★'s

This review won't be very long hecause I don't want to give anything away.

New Beginnings is a Must Read. Its a story where the heroine, Elizabeth, thinks she has found her happily ever after. She has what most women want, a man she loves and children she adores. As you read and watch her story unfold you are captivated by all the emotions. S.N Williams has a way of making you physically feel the words on paper. Happiness, Anger and Sadness are all rolled into one bundle and again, you feel it ALL..

This story delivers a powerful messages about love, abuse and a HEA. It does contain domestic violence so if that is a trigger for you, heed this as a warning. I highly recommend this book. I absolutely could not put it down.

I received New Beginnings in exchange for an honest review. This story was very emotional with a very strong message. It does have domestic abuse in it, for those new readers, just FYI. Shannon did a tremendous job in writing this book. From the very beginning, I felt all the emotion in it. My head was swimming with fear, anger, joy and finally happiness. I do not want to put out any spoilers, so just know that this book is full of emotion and was put together well. It makes you think about what is good in your life and how one little thing can take that away. this book does however have a HEA ending

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Elizabeth thinks she has met the man of her dreams when she meets Reed. He is handsome, attentive and she believes that he is the man that is going to be her happily ever after. But things are not always what they seem. Reed has secrets that will bring demons of the past and present to life and forever change what Elizabeth thought that her life was and the course that she was supposed to take. This book is an intense emotional roller coaster of lies, abuse and deceit that will have you enthralled in the story until the very end. **Warning: This book deals with mature subjects such as rape, domestic violence and drug abuse.**

This book was a good read. There are some hard parts to get through but I believe that this book will help people get through some things that has happened in their lives. The flow of this book was good and is a must read. It will make you mad, sad, and happy rolled all up in one bundle of emotions. I actually rate this 4 1/2 stars and will recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good book. It's a HEA after all and I enjoy those. Happy reading from One guy and his book.

This was a very emotional book that had a great story line to it. It deals with some tough topics such as abuse and drugs. It had all the emotions I like to read in a book with a happy ending at the end. My only complaint would be that I wanted read more about Elizabeth and the Hot Sebastian. Overall it was a great read. I love books that suck you right in and this book did that. Once I started reading it I did not want to put it down. Shannon did a great job writing this book!!

"I could dream. Dreams don't hurt but most dreams don't come true either."

Elizabeth met and fell in love with Reed her senior year of high school. In the beginning it was a typical high school relationship. What made it better was Elizabeth's best friend Nicole was also dating Reed's best friend. Everything seemed perfect, sure they had their spats and there was an occasional time that Reed was so angry things would go too far, but Elizabeth always felt like it was her fault. On their prom night things went too far. Elizabeth dumps Reed and moves on. She and Nicole go to college together, and have an amazing four years in college together, picking up some new friends along the way. After they graduate from college they all tend to go their separate ways.

"I pull away from him, looking in my review mirror I see Reed watching as I leave. Can I really do this? He really looks and seems as though he has changed. He even sounds remorseful. I guess time will only tell."

Elizabeth and Reed reconnect and things seem pleasant. After a bombshell is dropped on her by her parents, her and Reed seem closer than ever. But will it stay that way? Will she and Reed get her happily ever after?

Honestly, I don't blame Elizabeth for feeling the way she felt or for forgiving Reed. I honestly would have to. Abuse is never okay but she wanted to believe the best in him. I found Elizabeth very easy to relate to and I really grew to love her. I don't think she gave herself enough credit. This book goes to show that it is possible to start over. This book has some domestic violence, if this is hard for you to read, I would recommend not reading this book. Other than that I would recommend this book to anyone. It is really good, and a very quick read. I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

5 POWERFUL STORY STARS

So I have to admit this is one of the hardest reviews I have had to write , not because I did not enjoy the book , but because the underlying storyline is so close to home and very difficult to read and write about without spoilers. This being a rough copy of the book it was still written beautifully in a way that you could feel the emotions and really understand the reasons that Elizabeth made the choices she did. Having been through some of the same troubles I can say that Elizabeth was very strong and handled herself quite well given her circumstances.

Things to know -
Elizabeth has little to no relationship with her parents , they are horrible to her and try to control her life and relationship with her High School boyfriend Reed. The only care about their social status and feel Elizabeth needs to follow in those footsteps.

Despite seeming to be a great guy there are small warning signs that Reed is anything but and Elizabeth doesn't pick up on them but her best friend Nicole does.

The hot stranger from the prom starts a roller coaster of crazy for Elizabeth and he is not even around to do anything about it. But ironically he will show up in every phase of her life , is this fate or just coincidence.

There are many twists and turns in this book , some of which came out of nowhere and crushed me some that were predictable and great. Luckily for Elizabeth she has a great friendship with Nicole and Brad and they help her through many rough times. She also is lucky in her job which lands her in the arms of what may just be her New Beginning !!

Brace yourself for some major family drama , some heartbreaking and difficult reading , some super hot sex , some wonderful love and lots of attempts at New Beginnings.

I am happy to have been part of this tour and have the opportunity to read this book.

This is a new adult book with abuse. This is a stand alone, for adults only, this has domestic violence and rape. This book was one of the first books that really made me mad, I was fighting with myself to finish the book. I could not understand the mind of Elizabeth, she went through some horrible ordeals only to get away, wait several years and go back to the same man who put her through hell? And why is she calling people vulgar names then doing the same things herself? And what the heck is wrong with her "dad"? But the most unbelievable part for me was when Reed got away with crimes he committed not only once but twice. This is not a horrible book, for there are parts that captured me but the rest was inconceivable.

This story is about Elizabeth, a senior in high school. She is working towards her future and can not wait to be able to get away from her uncaring parents. She then meets up with Reed, they hit it off instantly. She believes he is her happy ever after, until Reed shows his true colors. Thankfully she has a best friend to help her through her hardest days. What does Elizabeth's future hold for her? Will she ever be able to forgive?

Favorite passages:
"I like a girl who knows her football."
"I think about how much I love my best friend and I know she loves me."
"You'll find your prince charming, fall in love, and get your happily ever after."
"Well, Barbie and I seem to have hit it right off."
"It has been heaven. I love math. Don't judge me."
"Thank you, but right now I think I want to cuddle up and read."

Elizabeth's life is more drama than one person should ever have. She seems like a good girl just trying to make her way in this big ol' world, but the universe is out to get her. Not many people have the strength to persevere like she does in the face of so many things. It would have been easy for her to give up. I was proud of her trying to free herself. Her mother is a piece of work and not worthy of her daughter.

However, I love her best friend. Nicole is the best wing woman I've read about in a long while. We all need a Nicole in our lives.

Reed is diabolical, I wanted to kill this fool. I wanted him to be the good guy. He could have been, but he chose to be the douche.

Paul can rot in hell. He is a sicko for sure. The depths of my anger towards that man. Urgh! Someone just needs to off him.

Hello Sebastian! I loved this one from the moments he said "Lovely". Although I wasn't fond of him telling her when he was picking her up. Thinking, this dominant behavior at this point would have sent Elizabeth running full speed the opposite direction. Still an awesome book boyfriend!

As for the writing, some grammar and sentence structure issues that made me a little crazy. Mostly I like to read with my kindle in sepia tone and the book is oddly formatted and showed random highlights of white around the words so I had to switch to white with black letters to fix. Finally, the dialogue was a bit choppy to read but overall good storyline.

*A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review*

A tale of Elizabeth and Reed, high school sweethearts gone bad. So many life lessons are written into the pages of this novel. SN Williams has created a novel that is so true to life. A very emotional read for someone who has gone through what her character, Elizabeth, had to endure. You will go through the whole gamut of emotions within this story. Happiness, anger, pain and weave in and out, not knowing what is to come next.

I cannot give too much away about the story without spoiling it for everyone. It is just a good story that you must read to appreciate.
