Newly jobless and adrift, former investment banker Kerri Wilson travels to Virginia to see her best friend and regroup, only to run into billionaire playboy Ethan Lloyd. It's been years since she's snuck out of his bed after the most amazing sex of her life, and he's so not her type--she likes them tall, dark and manageable. But he's too hot to resist, and she succumbs to another sizzling, no-strings-attached (or so she thinks) night.Unwilling to let her go this time, Ethan makes a simple a job, a place to stay, and an exclusive affair that will end when either of them finds someone else. But with her dark, painful past catching up to her, Kerri may have to bolt again--even though her heart is telling her to stay. And Ethan's not giving her up without fighting to make their "temporary" arrangement something far more permanent...
Bilingual former management consultant Nadia Lee has lived in four different countries and enjoyed many adventures and excellent food around the globe. In the last eight years, she has kissed stingrays, got bitten by a shark, and petted tigers.
She shares an apartment overlooking a river and palm trees in Japan with her husband, winter white hamsters and an ever-widening pile of books. When she's not writing, she can be found digging through old Asian historical texts or planning another trip.
I forgot about how much I enjoyed Nadia Lee's writing. Barring the intimate scenes, I really like her third person narratives, told from alternating povs. Sometimes she'll throw in a snippet from a secondary character's perspective, and that's a treat too.
I liked that the h was a hardworking woman, who doesn't take wealth for granted and doesn't take advantage of the H's kindness. However, I couldn't stand how long she kept secrets from everyone, even her best friend. I feel for her because of her backstory, but her imbalanced perspective on life was just not healthy. It was sad and also annoying to read.
Then there's the H. He was a genuinely good guy and I liked him. I really appreciated that he didn't jump to nasty conclusions about the h but actually used his brain and thought things through. There weren't too many thoughts of his past, but there were enough to make me a bit annoyed. It should've been a one and done kind of deal. I appreciated that neither the MCs was celibate during the seven year separation, but the length of the interim was on the outside of what I usually prefer.
All in all, I would've enjoyed this a whole lot more had there been less secrets and less sex. It was too much and the reason I was able to finish this story in one night was because I basically skimmed them all. :)
**This is a joint review for Vengeful in Love and Reunited in Love**
These great books drew me in from the very beginning. There is a ton of passion, high society people and events, hot guys, relationship drama, and so much more! I loved both sets of characters and both of the story lines were engaging.
Alex and Natalie have this spark from the moment the meet each other. Alex is a seriously sexy alpha male billionaire and Natalie is beautiful, smart, successful, and kind woman. Don’t get me wrong though, she can get seriously feisty and has no problem standing up for herself. Ethan and Kerri actually had a one night stand a long time ago and happened to reconnect. Ethan is the embodiment of hot and knows how to get what he wants. Oh, and he’s also a billionaire, is Alex’s best friend, and works with Alex and Natalie. Kerri is Natalie’s best friend just come back to the states from Hong Kong. She’s used to keeping everyone at arm’s length and is a complete work-a-holic. All four of these characters were great and and they had individual personalities that made me really like them for different reasons.
The characters and plot were well developed and I truly enjoyed reading them. It was interesting to see how all the characters are connected to each other and I’m guessing that some of the characters introduced in these books will show up in future books in the series. I look forward to reading more of them and I’m giving these 2 a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
Favorite Quotes: “He turned around and the world seemed to go into slow motion. She noticed a small black earpiece, eyelashes whose length made her slightly jealous… and then a face that could cause a riot in a nunnery.”
My Review: I have found THE perfect man, so perfect in every way. Of course he isn’t real, which makes him even more perfect, as nothing can ever happen to burst my love bubble. Oh Ethan – I feel in love with him rather quickly. He is rich, he is patient, he is kind, handsome, well built, can cook, dresses well, has his own jet, is thoughtful, employed, generous, oh so skilled, and has enough stamina to make a girl “scream his name five times” in one night. Where else could we find such a man but in the pages of a book!?! Ms. Lee has created another entertaining and well written offering that picks up when Vengeful in Love left off, but this time the story focuses on different characters that had small roles in Vengeful. I find that I really like this idea. The books can stand alone, and although they continue on from the first story, there are no nasty cliffhangers to annoy me. And did I mention they are steamy – oh yes! Velvety smooth, and very nicely done Ms. Lee. I am primed and ready to dive into the next one.
The key strengths of the previous book, which made me like it so much are still there. Realistic contemporary and corporate environment, complex and developing characters, good writing. However the heroine did not strike me as fully mature, regarding her personal life - she had reasons justifying that, but it made me wonder a few times, why she was not able to look at it with the same objectivity and perspective that she was so good at in the financial world. And given her personal difficulties to open to anyone and the hero's chosen approach to give her space and time to come around, their relationship for a very long period of time was a succession of day-to-day intimacy, followed by argumentative and interrupted dialogues, everytime a personal topic was raised, and then make-up sex. There was almost too much sex, even though the growing intimacy and feelings were also shown through those scenes, I did not need that many to have fully understand the message. More like a 3.5 stars
Review: I was given a copy of Reunited in Love by Reading Bliss for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. It captured my attention from the beginning and held it all through the end. Kerri goes to Virginia to visit her best friend where she runs into billionaire playboy Ethan Lloyd. It has been years since that last time she saw him. It had been the best sex of her life even though he isn’t her type of guy. Ethan makes Kerri a deal she can’t refuse. She takes it but things could get complicated and she is afraid she is going to have to run again. Will things go from temporary to more permanent or will Kerri have to leave? Oh the possibilities. I recommend this book! I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
Unlike the first book, this wasn't an easy read. It was made so by the lead female character, Kerri. She was so tight lipped about her past that it made it easy to not like her. Ethan was an okay male lead and seemed easy enough to love. I really liked the first book, Vengeful In Love, and hope to like the third in the series.

PURSUED BY HER BILLIONAIRE HOOK-UP by Nadia Lee
Newly jobless investment banker Kerri Wilson, travels to Virginia to see her best friend and take some time out. The last person she expects to see at the airport is a face from the past, a one night stand. She never forgot that night, but his not her type. He may be tall, dark, and handsome, but his just not 'manageable' for her liking. And now she's stuck with him for a few days and his hard to resist. So when he makes her an offer she can't refuse, she accepts reluctantly telling herself it's only a temporary proposal.
Billionaire Ethan Lloyd is shocked at the face that greets him at the airport. It's a long time since his seen her but he has never forgotten. He tried to find her once but it was as if she had completely disappeared. Now that he has her in his life again, his not letting her go. But she has a dark and painful past, and if his going to keep her his going to have to be one step ahead of her thinking, if his going to keep her from running again. So he comes up with a plan.
With his no-strings attached proposition, how could she refuse. But Kerri's trying to avoid her painful past, the only way she knows how...running. But Ethan's not going to let her go a second time, this time he will do whatever it takes to catch and keep her.
This was such a awesome book, with a very exciting and entertaining storyline. The story was put together very well and the attention to the details is perfect. I absolutely loved the characters, Ethan and Kerri. Even with her past, her and Ethan were such strong, determined people, but also compassionate and really sweet. They made such an amazing couple, and I loved their intense chemistry and relationship. A well balanced storyline which flowed smoothly. My only grumble is that I would have liked Kerri to have a little more fire in her when she found herself dealing with a certain family member because of their past. But otherwise, overall this was a fantastic book and I loved it from beginning to end!
In this book we continue with characters we met in the first book. Ethan is a friend and business associate of Alex and Kerri is Natalie’s best friend. Kerri had been living and working in Hong Kong for years. We find out in this book it’s because she’s been running from her very rich family. Natalie and Alex are in their honeymoon, so they send Ethan to pick up Kerri from the airport when she comes to visit. Little does Natalie know, Ethan and Kerri had had a ONS years before. And they were never quite able to get each other out of their system. Ethan manages convince Kerri to pick up where they left off while she’s in town. He teases her with a temporary arrangement, but he’s going for something far more permanent.
Kerri had some problems. She was determined not to love Ethan. She was determined to ignore the truth about her past. And Ethan was determined to keep her. So really, the true enemy in this book kind of turned out to be Kerri herself.
I will say that Ethan’s brother Gavin played much the same role that Ethan played in book one with trying to convince a man that the woman they loved was some sort of spy. And Gavin never really made up for it in this book. So I’m not sure how quick I am to want to read his book. Because I’m still kind of mad at him. At least in Book 1, Ethan felt bad but what he did and he really work to make up for it. I guess we’ll see.
Overall, these books you can tell are some of the first works of this author. They are very new. These were from back in 2014, I believe. So that’s seven years ago. And you can tell. However, the second book did improve greatly from the first book. So I think things will continue to get better the more I read.
When did it become the norm to have a billionaire romance instead of a millionaire? Just wondering. Anyhow, not a bad romance Ethan seems like every girls dream. Kerri is a pill. I get why she is so standoffish due to her upbringing in a wealthy family that is cold and unloving. It is a very well written book and it does explain that she is trying to protect her self and her heart but really it got old for me after the first few chapters. Lots of steamy romance with a nice HEA in the end but unfortunately I just wanted to roll my eyes with the character Kerri. I think I’m done with the billionaires and their drama for it is more depressing than interesting when living so far below that pay scale. Happy reading
Ethan and Kerri’s story story started with a terrific one night stand 7 years prior but she left, with no contact information. She has been hiding from her autocratic, unloving grandfather since college, when he suddenly tries to find her. She quits her job and, through evasive tactics escapes him. Ethan picks her up at the airport and their relationship, despite her fighting it, escalates. His family problems and her family problems cause great difficulty for any future they might want. Lots of depth to the story!
2.5 Could have been worse. The characters have much the same voice. They do improve slightly as the book goes on, but not by much. And then they plummet again. There's a grandfather/family thread that's been chucked in there that's kinda focused on and dropped and focused on and dropped. Come to think of it, most of the threads are similar. Not quite worked thru smoothly and some are straight up clunky, to keep it kind. Again, could have been worse, but certainly should have been better.
4.25 Stars Oh my. What an emotional roller coaster. I adored this book from start to finish. I loved Ethan and Kerri's relationship, and them as individuals as well. I especially loved how awesome Kerri was in business, and how she didn't succumb to emotional blackmail (no spoilers, but terrific, if emotionally wrenching).
And now I have to read the books that come before it and after it. I think I'm hooked on Nadia Lee.
This is Pursued By Her Billionaire Hookup written by Nadia Lee. I’m so happy that Ms Lee moved her books into the KU program because she is a great author. Kerrie is running from her past and the family that treated her so badly. Ethan was a night of passion from the past who showed up in her life again. Can they keep it professional and enjoy a colleagues with benefits arrangement? It’s sure fun to watch them try!
Justin and Kerri hooked up seven years ago. Then she disappeared. Imagine his surprise when he picks her up at the airport as a favor for a friend. Kerri is on the run, hiding from her Uber rich family. She remembers her passion with Justin but doesn't want to get involved. In a story filled with secrets, scandal, not wanting to feel vulnerable and lots of sexy bits, you will enjoy on a roller-coaster ride that will rock you and leave you breathless.
I felt like I came into the middle of a story here. Maybe I missed a book? Anyway, I don’t especially like Kerri. Yes, she had a miserable childhood. But does that give her the right to toy with Ethan? Goodness, Ethan is about the greatest guy ever. If he loved her, I’m glad he ends up with her. Still lots of story to uncover within Ethan’s family and business. I hope that happens in future books.
Thank you for writing about complications of the liver. I also need a liver transplant as soon as I can get a few health issues taken care of. Along with needing a full transplant, I also have liver cancer. Authors are including medical complications into their stories, which I am finding very interesting as I can identify with the people who the story is written about. Thank you very much for not hiding life.
The story was too long - because there's not enough substance. Holding out and dragging a sorry excuse of is hardly sufficient excuse. Hiding the fact that you have a kidney issue, as well. Too weak. Plus, the Hero seemed very weak, constantly checking up on the heroine, pinning after her. Hardly seemed like the big, body-building-type of a hunk. Meek. More like. Too boring.
Reunited in Love is a really good book!!!! It keep me on the edge throughout the whole book. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. There was so much going on with these characters. This book had my eyes glued to the screen of my Nook! This is a Five Star Read for me.....Andddd a must for you to Read.....
Sorry. I did not enjoy this book. Had potential however some story lines just fell flat. Ethan was okay....said and did most things correctly. Female character, not so much. Her thinking too way off. I found myself just skimming thru most pages looking for the sex scenes which was most enjoyable reading. Needed a stronger more decisive female character.
Really enjoyed this book but the ending fell really flat for me. Almost everything was tied up into a neat little bow. I didn’t like how the h handled her personal conflict in the end. Her feelings on the matter did a complete 180 when it came to the events of the past. Really enjoyed the H’s story but felt like his family conflicts were resolved in a weird way.

Pursued by Her Billionaire Hook-Up (Billionaire Series Book 2)
The love story of Kerri and Ethon. Natalie 's best friend is back in the state and she wants Ethon and Kerri to hook-Up. Kerri is holding a secret about her family. Ethon's family has enter into a major scandal and the family company is blood money. Can they find love in this world of secret? Great story.
Honestly I respect the struggle character portrays and her headstrong behavior but not the way she gave in for being reconnected to "grandpa" And and and.....why the financial situations/dependency is so much highlighted like that for instance Natalie going shopping with her BILLIONAIRE husband's money or Kerri being so financially insecure....like for god's sake she was a VP. Like why....?
****The Billionaire’s Pursuit/Pursued by Her Billionaire Hook-up by Nadia Lee: a good story This story is good with a lot going on. The chemistry is hot (although so much s*x detracts from the story just a bit). Secrets, past hurts, and guarded hearts result in a denial of feelings. Until the walks come down. —PTators
3.5 - I liked the plot but didn’t necessarily rate Kerri and Ethan together. Ethan was 10/10 backing Kerri at all times and being understanding of her walls and her method of communication. The plot line with baron which underlay everything was just miscommunication and the result was a bit disappointing
It never went in depth with anything. The plot and conflicts were there, but it lacked authenticity. It seemed as if it was a movie written from a book with all the interesting bits left out.
Started with intrigue but ended with a thud. The cloak and dagger of Kerri hiding from her family made me think a good story behind it; however, the ending felt like a let down and was forced.
This has a great storyline and was well written. The characters were great. They kept you wondering what was going to happen next with the grandfather. Will be reading more of this author's work.
I just could not put this down. I loved this book and these characters so much. I hope to hear their names again in her future works that I am going to read.
