A town on edge. A secret heritage revealed. No pie in sight.
Rowe thought putting the feud between the wolf shifters and the huntsmen to rest was the hard part, but learning to control her magic turns out to be a whole new monster. In true Rowe fashion, nothing is going right, and the expectations of the witch community only make it worse.
She wants nothing more than to eat pie and take it easy with her mates, but with so many newcomers to Hartford Cove, Rowe’s time is stretched thin between magic classes and integrating the new witches and vampires into the once quiet town.
Not everyone is happy with the changes, and when a body is found mauled in the woods, fingers start pointing. The wounds hold an eerie familiarity to those that killed Rowe’s mother, but Owen is the only werewolf who can shift outside of the full moon.
Is the curse taking control of her gentle love? Or is something more sinister going on? Rowe must uncover the truth before the uneasy peace falls apart. But can she bring herself to step back into the woods where her life ended as a child and face the nightmares waiting there?
Find out what lurks in the woods in MAGIC’S DAWN, the latest paranormal romance for fans of Charlaine Harris, Ilona Andrews, and Kelley Armstrong.

Pacific Northwest author L.L. Frost writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance with snarky characters and descriptive world-building. Whether she's writing a fast burn romance about witches, wolf shifters, and vampires, or teasing a slow burn romance while hunting demonic monsters, her passion is for character driven novels.
Growing up in a rainforest gave L.L. Frost plenty of time to daydream while spending cozy days under a blanket with her cats by her side. Sipping tea or chugging coffee, you can find her with a book or laptop in hand, imagining new worlds.
Hartford Cove survived the attack by the Huntsmen and is now rebuilding and settling into its new normal with the addition of witches and vampires. Everyone is trying to find their place. Rowe is still the esteemed Wendall witch but prefers to spend her days as a gofer, doing little errands to help make lives better. Her happy days are disrupted when Aspen Redfern arrives to take over the duties of teaching Rowe and her coven magic. Mel's fiancé immediately finds fault with Rowe. Everything about her. When he hurts her he finds himself in danger of her four mates, but it's Rowe herself who has a few things to teach him. While Aspen may be a danger to Rowe's confidence, the peace of Hartford Grove is in danger. When bodies start showing up, the killings look like werewolf attacks but the bodies are drained like a vampire attack, and there are no scents or prints left behind like a witch attack. No one is above suspicion and accusations fly.
I. Love. This Series. Seriously. I think it displays true talent to blend an entertaining, detailed story among chaos and absurdity. Rowe is one of my favorite characters ever. She's so random and silly, that it would be easy to overlook exactly how kind, brave, loyal, and intelligent she is. I've never had a character continually surprise me like she does. She is a delight. Her growth in this book was tremendous. I wanted to throttle Aspen when he hurt her feelings and was sad one of her guys didn't teach him a lesson, but I loved how she handled him. She opened his eyes. He may have known magic but Aspen needed lessons in humanity and what truly mattered. The student became the instructor and now we don't need to ban Aspen to the outside of the barrier. I love the time spent with side characters and getting to know the town better. And I loved the time spent with bad puppy and bad wolf. SO good. The killings and the outcome were nicely done. Rowe's magic was confirmed and several little mysteries were introduced. I can't wait for more.
I was so looking forward to this book! The heroine in this series has quickly become one of my favorites and all these books are filled with amazing characters, twisted storylines, real danger, magic and loads of amazing magical creatures and some epic magical battles. I bought my paperback copy as soon as it was available, but of course I couldn't wait for it to arrive, so I also grabbed a review copy from BookSprout.
What a lovely installment is this. In a way this book feels like a combination of the calm before the storm and tying up some loose ends. This book focusses on the aftermath of the big fight in the previous book, the witches trying to feel at home in this supernatural community and our heroine dealing with her own traumas, worries and doubts. The finale is still filled with quite some action and danger, but there is also so much room for love and tenderness.
There is next to none relationship drama in this book and I have to admit that I didn't really mis it. It was kinda nice to see Rowe just living her life with her guys, to see them finding their rhythm, to see them living together and all having their own role and place in this relationship. The last chapter of the book felt therefore really fitting and I had a huge smile on my face while reading this group of people promising each other forever.
I also quite liked Aspen. Of course, when he enters the book he has quite some learning and growing to do, but once he does start learning and growing, it's lovely to see him change and become a different, nicer and better person. I also like how Rowe constantly defends her friends and the people in town. It's clear that no matter how chaotic her brain might be, her heart is always in the right place and ready to do the right thing.
Magic's Dawn presents an incredible dive into the paranormal realm that left me utterly spellbound. Rowe and Tris are characters like no other; their uniqueness and charm had me completely enamored. If you're a fan of reverse harem tales with a touch of magic and intense chemistry, this series is an absolute must-read.
Exploring the town and spending time with the intriguing side characters added a delightful layer to the narrative. And let's talk about the captivating dynamics between 'bad puppy' and 'bad wolf'—what an enticing interplay! The tension, the mysteries, and the resolution of the killings were skillfully executed, keeping me thoroughly engaged.
The revelations about Rowe's magic and the introduction of several intriguing mysteries have left me eagerly anticipating what's to come. Magic's Dawn sets the stage for a riveting series, and I simply can't wait for more to unfold in the next installments.

Awoooo! I love this book. There's still buckets of suspense, laugh out loud moments, twists and turns, as well as super naturally hot people. I'm relieved that this part of Rowe's series has a Happy for Now kind of ending. Her pentagrouple deserves some time to relax and recover from the events so far.
This series has been a rollercoaster! One of those rickety wood things that you're not sure if it's up to code, but it's just so beautiful that you get in line and wait with bated breath.
I'm loving the group dynamics and the friendships between old and new characters. It's fun to see Mel and Aspen as they butt heads, as well as the rest of the new witches learning and growing. I really hope the town of Hartford Cove can adapt and thrive as more thann just wolf people.
I'm excited to see what happens next in this fantastic series!
Buckets of typos, but not as much as previous books. A couple of glitches, but I didn't let them lead me off the beaten path.
DEFINITLY recommend reading the series in order, and don't stop until you reach the end of it! Don't wait too long between books, it makes it way better to read them one after the other.... :-)
Part 4 in this series is no less epic as the first 3. Can't wait to read the next one. The hyper Rowe from the first book is getting cleared up, explained and her story is expanded on over the following books, blending together into one heck of a series! At first the flightly attitude of Rowe had me wondering if I wanted to keep reading, but it all comes together over the course of the books. The storyline is different from almost any of the shifter/paranormal books I've read and the characters are so diverse, it's amazing how they blend together, but blend they do!.

Magic’s Dawn is the fourth story in the Monsters Among Us: Hartford Cove. Magic’s Dawn is quite entertaining and enjoyable to read this amazing book. Magic’s Dawn is not only entertaining/enjoyable, wonderful characters, ease to read, a page-turner, and action-packed. Magic’s Dawn is beautifully written and well balanced. The storyline is well executed and the author does an amazing job with the way they give life to the story. The characters are well-developed and the story is absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t set this book down until I finished reading it. I would definitely suggest this book to anyone.

This is book 4 of the Monsters Among Us: Hartford Cove series. I suggest reading series in order. This book was another phenomenal entry in the series. World building continues to excel and is very important to the story. Plot was exceptionally well designed and full of action and suspense. However, the characters really drive this series. They grab hold of the reader and don't let go. Very complex, compelling and well matched. FYI this is a RH romance series and I completely recommend.
Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!.

Is this the end. I hope not as I have really enjoyed this series. Rowe's mismatched group of mate's make her complete, but having to fight every day just to live seems to never end, for all of them. She finally seems to be getting somewhere with her own magic though as it seems she is a part of everything, not just one. And discovering that does help in the end. But as she has spent her whole life, she's still fighting.

Ms Frost continues the delightful adventures of Rowe and her men.The plot is intriguing and the action is fast paced with some fun twists. The characters continue to develop and relationships deepen. Witnessing Rowe's growth as a witch and a person is wonderful.
This is Book 4 of the series. I am hooked on this series. It is well written and I connect well with the characters. I love them all. I was hooked back into the story and couldn't put it down. I loved it! I can't wait to read more and more.

I know that "technically" there's one more book out there. I won't be reading it. To me, this was end enough. At least it finished stronger and I can know that Greyson, Rowe, Ros, Tris and Owen lived HEA.
I have really enjoyed this series. This book was amazing like the rest of them. I am so glad that the story is still going strong and keeping me thrilled and entertained. Couldn't be happier with this series. Jump on board, you won't be sorry!
By far the best book in the series. The story has gotten so good, and the characters are all so much fun to read about. I need me some men like Rowe has. The story is getting so intense and gosh im excited to continue reading the next one.
