Kyoko thinks she's survived Valentine's Day, but that's just the kind of attitude that gets her in trouble with the president of LME. Lory is very disappointed in the girls of the Love Me Section and sets up special new assignments to teach them the power of love. But will the president's strange methods have any affect on the troubled souls of Chiori, Moko and Kyoko?
Yoshiki Nakamura (仲村佳樹) is a Japanese mangaka. She was born June 17. Nakamura made her manga debut with "Yume de Auyori Suteki" in the manga magazine Hana to Yume in 1993.
Welcome back Chiori and Moko. I liked that Kyoko as a Love Me member was more a focus again. That has been a backseat for too long. Cain is going to be an interesting character!! And Lory and his meddling cracks me up! He is oddly one of my favorite characters in this series, even if is a minor (but crucial) role. This volume is an in-between arc story line. It touches on the last one and gives us a great picture for the next one but it also therefore moves a bit slow/
I fell in love with this manga immediately. It drew me in and kept me there. Sadly to say i have been reading it from the internet and hate to wait in between chapters. I've also been watching it's anime and I've seen the first episode of the TV show extravagant challenge based on this manga. But nothing beats the manga because it has all the extra details that are not shown elsewhere.
I'm writing this review for all of the volumes of Skip Beat because i tend to read them all together. I enjoy Kyoko's personality, the way she is inexperienced in various things(such as friends, boyfriends, etc.), serious with others(her acting,etc.)..Her relationship with Ren and how she won't admit to her feelings. I also like the turn of events with Sho, how he is now interested in her.
I like reading this manga over & over again because it basically shows a young girl who had her heart broken and was stepped on, who gathered up all her anger, her little left hope and decided to get revenge. Along the way she makes friends, experiences new feelings, develops a deep love for her acting which changes things around for her.
No matter how many time you get knocked down, you should get back up and fight!!
This was a fantastic read. Skip Beat is one of my favourite mangas of all time. All of the volumes will get 4 stars from me. Each volume just keeps getting better. I especially loved the Violence Mission arc portion of the story. I laughed a lot during this volume. In this volume, Kyoko gets into trouble with Lory, the president of LME, along with Chiori and Moko. So, Lory gave the Love Me Section girls each a task to complete: Moko - something messy, Chiori - something fun, and Kyoko - something dangerous. I was wondering why Lory gave Kyoko the task of something dangerous, but as the volume continued, I fell more and more in love with Kyoko's character. It was interesting to see Ren as Cain and act differently than he usually did. I am wondering if there is more to him than he let on. Also, I hope he and Kyoko admit they have feelings for each other. I loved this volume, it made me laugh so much. I am proud to say that this was an A+ read for me. I cannot wait to read Volume 27. Overall, an amazing read.
This volume just can't hold a candle to the awesomeness that was V25, and I was afraid that would happen. I am glad that Ren is playing a bigger role in the manga now, even if I find the current story arc kind of silly.
First of all, I just need to say that I need more of Ren as Cain. SO MUCH MORE. Everything about the portrayal of Cain is just AMAZING and I love it so much ;u; (Why couldn't the anime adaptation have covered up to here? Why couldn't I see an animated Ren-as-Cain? ;u;)
This whole thing is just amazing. I adored the makeover that Kyouko was given by Ren's makeup artist, and just have loved every moment since - from the hotel room mishap (with ONE BED :o XD) to the dragging of Cain's "sister" (of COURSE they had to make Kyouko his sister. That's just amazing XD) shopping... it's all so great ;u; <33

Hahaha, love the President at the start being all upset over the Love Me members hating Valentine's Day! I've also heard good things about the Setsu/Cain arc which is starting, so looking forward to reading how it all develops.
Re-Read 1:
hahaha, the President's face when he watches the Love Me Members dissing Valentines day is just perfect!
Today’s manga post is on Skip Beat!, Vol. 26 by Yoshiki Nakamura. It is 184 pages long and is published by Shojo Beat. The cover is an illustration of Kyoko, Moko, and Chiori, dressed in the Love Me gear. There is no foul language, no sexuality, and no violence in this book. The intended reader is someone who likes comedy and shojo manga. The story is told from third person close following Kyoko but with some asides from Ren for character development. There Be Spoilers Ahead. From the back of the book- Kyoko thinks she's survived Valentine's Day, but that's just the kind of attitude that gets her in trouble with the president of LME. Lory is very disappointed in the girls of the Love Me Section and sets up special new assignments to teach them the power of love. But will the president's strange methods have any affect on the troubled souls of Chiori, Moko and Kyoko?
Review- President Lory has a huge assignment for Kyoko, keep Ren in check. This is a very silly story line, even for this manga. Ren is playing a different actor named Cain Heel and Cain Heel is a dangerous man, who cares for nothing for his sister, Setsu. So to have someone be Ren as Cain’s manager without anyone knowing that Cain is Ren Tsuruga, President Lory gets Kyoko to play Setsu. All very silly and complicated but it is also so funny and so much fun, that I don’t care how silly it is. Kyoko is having to learn a part of the fly, Ren is not handling having Kyoko around all the time well, and everything else is just silly. I am looking forward to seeing what nonsense Kyoko and Ren get up to in these costumes.
I give this manga a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

SO with this volume we start the Violence Mission arc. I’m actually really looking forward to this arc, because it has been awhile since the last Love Me assignment arc... especially now that there are three Love Me members. It’s definitely going to be a good arc with this volume as the beginning. I really enjoyed it. It’s really interesting to see Ren’s secret role/character. I also found it hilarious how and why Kyoko recognized Ren, that was just so like Kyoko... overall a really enjoyable volume, really anticipating seeing Kyoko get into character as Ren’s sister, and seeing the rest of the Love Me members getting by with their assignments!
I am so uninterested in this series, but I want to see it through. I won’t be making proper reviews for it anymore since my thoughts are just generally the same all the time anyway (lots of annoyance/anger for some volumes now); my rating will tell you if I liked or disliked it. You can safely assume, however, that I still despise Sho and Ren, and everyone else, but Kyo and her bestie (who sometimes isn’t around and sometimes is, much like Sho).
The Heel Siblings Arc! Ahahahaha!!! Kyoko instantly sees through Ren's Cain disguise. She's so tuned into him. And even if the "only one bed" was a fake out, we'll still get some good forced proximity. Too bad the pretend siblings with no boundaries gives me the creeps. So yea, this'll be another test of how much my brain can keep it in the fiction box.
Man, I love all the characters in this manga. Even Sho, though I still stand by my earlier statement that if Kyoko and Sho end up together after this, I will be beyond pissed.
Anyway! All the character are perfectly interesting and well written!
This is the start of the weird Cain Heel storyline. I remember back when I read it the first time being very confused and disliking it. So minus 1 star for making me realize I still dislike it all these years later.
My favorite parts: Natsuko the friendly snake Ren giving Kyoko head pats because she was scared The president’s secretary laying on the floor next to Kyoko to get her attention Kyoko blushing real hard because of pretty Jelly Woods
Hilarious as always. The reactions are exaggerated, but I don't mind. I know it's the style and I enjoy it. When I think of the thousand pathos Kyoko gets after saying or doing something, I always laugh. Ren is dark and chilly.
