This is a refreshingly different trilogy of love stories, the characters are engagingly likeable and not your regular Alpha male roles... These are your average everyday nerdy guy's but *oh so sweet*!!! The storyline is definitely sexy with a good dose of kink!! But you can sense the reality of these people though Ms Aoide's writing... My favourite is Force Majeure, I loved Jeff & Evan. I would recommend this book as intelligent, kinky, in the moment humorous and fun read.

I was given Tame (Apprivoisé Trio) by Arden Aoide for an honest review. Here it is, and just as an fyi there will be spoilers and a gif or two possibly from this point forward.
Tame (Apprivoisé Trio) contains all three of the Apprivoisé novels. It begins with Club Dishabille, continues with Morphoses, and concludes with Force Majeure. Each book tells the story of a set of characters, though you never feel as if any of the others from previous books have left. The books flow seamlessly together to further continue the story from the book before and to give insight into the lives of the characters that are the focus of the story.
The heroes in this series aren’t of the norm, but rather IT guys and an accountant respectfully. Flawed heroes are my favorite types of heroes, and these books have wonderfully flawed nerdy heroes who are sexy, and dominant men that know what they want even if it’s hard for them to express that at some points. The women are strong, reliable characters who are all looking for something different, and they find that with their heroes. Each and every character in this series is wonderfully written, and well rounded.
The guys though, they were my favorites, and don’t ask me to pick just one of them because I couldn’t. I loved all three of them.
The sex is hot, all the way throughout the series. There’s texting/sexting/dirty talk, all for which make a good recipe for a hot read. There are times during some of the texting scenes in the book where things can become a bit confusing as to who is sending what and vice versa, but it still was one of my favorite parts throughout the books.
Technically speaking the books are solid with very few errors such as tense shifts throughout the trilogy.
Club Dishabille
This is the story of Alex Marchand and Dahlia Warwick. Dahlia wants nothing more than to find a dominant male, but she’s new to the whole BDSM scene. She finds Club Dishabille and talks to the owner – and Alex’s sister – Miranda Marchand about helping her out. Miranda immediately thinks of her brother while dealing with Dahlia, but she’s not sure Alex will be willing to help her out or not. Luckily he does decide to pursue Dahlia, and things quickly move on from there.
This is a fast love-at-first-sight for the pair of them, but they are ridiculously adorable together and you can believe that they love each other. Dahlia trusts Alex completely, and they fit together in a way that just feels right. The fact that both of them worry and wonder at times if they’re moving too fast is spot on, and makes the story for me.
I also personally loved the scene where Dahlia’s ex-husband comes into Dahlia’s room while Alex is there with her to bring over breakfast hilarious. Nick and Dahlia have this awesome friendship that you never see in fiction between divorced couples. I enjoyed their dynamic and their relationship with their teenaged daughter.
Morphoses
This is the story of Nick Jones (Dahlia’s ex-husband) and Miranda Marchand (Alex’s sister). Poor Nick suffers from low testosterone levels, but prior to his story he’s began treatment and seems to be on the upside to overcoming his medical issue. Miranda has a kink that she’s not entirely sure any man, well straight man that is, will accept but she’s holding out hope. Their first sexual encounter is hot like burning, and left me wanting to read more to see where their story went because you don’t think of Nick as being this sexual creature during the first book.
Unless it involves food, then all bets are off.
My only complaint with this story is the fact that Miranda’s kink, pegging, is never fully written out. As a fan of that kink in fiction myself, it would’ve been nice to read that part of it because it was important to Miranda.
Force Majeure
This is the story of Jeff Rainier and Evan Monroe. Jeff is admittedly kinda creepy with his stalking of Evan, but that doesn’t make him any less likable as a character. He’s quirky, nerdy, and stutters when he gets overwhelmed. You can’t help but feel for him and his social awkwardness, and you want him to get the girl. Evan, hands down, is my favorite female lead out of all of the women in this series. She’s funny, strong and it might also have something to do with the fact that she’s a blonde.
Force Majeure was my favorite out of all of the books, to be honest. It was funny, sexy – very sexy – and beautifully written. Jeff’s train of thought, the words the author chose to use during this particular novel was absolutely on point and made me love the characters even more.
Overall the series is a fun, hot read but it will leave you wanting a little more with the characters because they are so interesting. I give Arden two thumbs up for Tame, and honestly cannot wait to read more of her writing.

Apprivoisé is actually a set of three novellas: Dishabille, Morphoses, and Force Majeure. I had already completed Dishabille several months ago and loved it, and decided to move forward with the other two.
There are so many good things about this set it is hard to know where to begin. I will start with what most erotica readers want to know - are the sex scenes hot? YES. Yes, they are. I re-read Dishabille and had forgotten how seriously sexy it was. To the point I had to put it down to remember to breathe and to cool down. And the sex scenes in Morphoses and Force Majeure will not disappoint either. It took me several days to get through the three, mainly because ... well I'm a single woman alone. That much erotic sex all in one fell swoop probably would have caused me to spontaneously combust.
And the writing? Wonderful. I love the author's style, her way with words. While reading Dishabille, I identified with Dahlia. Then I read Force Majeure, and the struggle that Evan was going through also resonated with me. This all came due to the author's ability, with her writing style, to tap into the character's feelings which felt so much like my own.
Finally, the characters. You have some independent, fairly well off people in these books. However, you still have people who have to get up and go to work every day. Not that I don't love some of my millionaires in other erotica I read - because I do. But this series was refreshing. You have men who are not the super alpha male types; they have moments of uncertainty. It was kind of nice to read men who didn't know exactly the right thing to do or say at the opportune times.
Bottom line, loved this set. LOVED. Make sure you have either have your man, your toy, or both ready while reading.

Apprivoise was a great read. Initially I was overwhelmed by the book being over 400 pages, but it contains three stories. Dishabille is about 195 pages. Morphoses is about 140 pages. Force Majeure is about 170. What I found interesting about the characters was each story has a strong male that each have a different quirk. I loved all the characters in the book, they were very well written.
Dishabille is Dahlia and Alex's story. Dahlia is looking for something a little different in her life. She ends up meeting with Miranda, the owner of Dishabille. Miranda set Dahlia up with her brother Alex. Alex had severe ADHD and likes a little kinky sex. This is a sweet story about Dahlia and Alex finding each other and love.
Morphoses is Miranda and Nick's story. Nick is Dahlia's ex husband. Even though they are divorced Dahlia and Nick are good friends. After meeting Nick in Dishabille, I didn't think he could have a kinky sexual side. Nick was suffering from low testosterone. The author does a great job building Nick's character. Nick and Miranda's story is a bit more kinky than Alex and Dahlia's story. In this story we also get more Alex and Dahlia.
Force Majeure is Jeff and Evan's story. In case you were wondering Evan is a girl. Jeff is a friend of Nick's. Jeff by far is my favorite character from Apprivoise. He stutters sometimes and has trouble in social issues. He tend to go to Dahlia for relationship advice. Jeff and Evan's relationship is a little different but it works for them. Most Unique Erotica Ever
A book that hits you in in the gut makes a review very difficult to write. This is one of those books. I've grappled with it for weeks and finally just decided to start writing, without thought, but from the heart. Don't get me wrong, this is a hot, steamy read - but the characters are the most appealing aspect. I would dare anyone to not find a character to relate to or even aspects from multiple characters.
This book is, by far, the most realistic erotica book I have read. These people - their experiences - they CAN and probably DO happen. A book like is a perfect example of why erotica is not a genre - every book labeled erotica is sizzling, but they all have their own nuances, just like any other book out there. This book is an absolute gem!
I won't go into details about what happens in this book: however, I will say reading this book has been a journey for me. A journey into my own psyche, my desires (sexually and otherwise), my past decisions, and my future. I want you to experience the journey on your own. Read about Dahlia, Alex, Nick, Miranda, Jeff, and Evan and you will find something in them....something in yourself to believe in and second chances in life.

this is a great trilogy you will love the characteres in each book, they flow so that they continue where the othe left off. you are able to still follow each characters life. great book, it was really hard to put down i wanted to finish each one so that i would see what happen next. they are all very relateable. even though some may feel that you would never i think we all have a little of the characters in ourselves. thumbs up for Arden Aoide.

The first in the Tame Trio is a beautiful tale about a woman seeking out what she has yearned for, for years. She wants to be desired. She wants to love another, truly, love them and be attracted to them sexually. Dahlia decides to just take the plunge so to speak, and talk with the owner of the local sex club, Miranda. She has many questions about how to go about finding a mate, or someone that will fulfill her desires. Miranda instantly likes her, which is a strange reaction for Miranda, and she immediately thinks about her brother Alex. Dahlia is not like most of the women that frequent Club Dishabille, wanting a steamy, one night of lust-filled abandon. She wants a worthy companion. And Alex may just be the right guy.
Alex is a computer nerd, so to speak. He is very intelligent and picky with his conquests. He rarely wanders down to the Club level for entertainment any more. It’s almost as though he has given up. Miranda is bold enough to give Alex’s number to Dahlia, explaining that if he instigates contact, most likely it’ll be through text. And thus begins the love affair that is Alex and Dahlia. They both enjoy similar sexual kinks but the main reason for Dahlia falling head over heels for Alex, is his mind, and vocabulary. She is completely turned on by his words.
I loved how both simple and complicated Alex and Dahlia were. There was nothing abnormal about their desires, and yet they were a little taboo. There are many, highly sexual scenes that will leave you panting, but the communication and relationship building is what got me excited.
The second story in the Tame Trio is a little more…complicated. Miranda owns a sex club, but she doesn’t have a partner, or a lot of sex for that matter. Her new friend, her brother’s girlfriend, Dahlia, wants to set her up with her ex-husband, Nick. That’s the first complication. I mean, it’s strange that Dahlia still has such a close relationship with Nick. Their lives are intertwined, what with having a daughter, but it gives Miranda pause. What’s wrong with Nick? Why would he ever let Dahlia go? Miranda tries to get the truth out of Dahlia, but she keenly evades the question. Miranda needs to hear about Nick’s problems from him.
Miranda agrees to see him and their coupling is quite explosive. Nick didn’t even know he had that kind of response to a woman in him. Miranda brings out a side of him that he is equally scared of and intrigued by. He isn’t going to be the slug lounging in font of the TV anymore.
I loved how both Nick and Miranda got so protective and defensive of each other. Miranda is in to some very kinky things in the bedroom. Things that she hasn’t found someone comfortable enough to try them out with her. Until Nick. A lot of patience is needed in this story, for Nick mainly. To put if plainly, he’s not a typical male, but who’s to say what typical is. The beauty about these stories, about these very unique individuals, is just that; they are exploring the intricacies of womanhood, manhood and sexuality.
The third tale in the Tame Trio was so stiflingly…sweet! I was bursting. The story of Jeff and Evan makes me think about, if I may be so bold to compare, as Amy and Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. Jeff has many idiosyncrasies and he is a genius. He works in the IT department of the same bank as Alex and he also frequents Club Dishabille. Jeff would never even begin to believe that he could have all his fantasies fulfilled with taking Evan. But that’s exactly it. He does and she becomes completely enamored. Yes, he is ‘weird’, but that’s what she wants. She wants to be the object of someone’s affection. She’s not really a sub, much like Jeff is not really a Dom, but they both find that little bit that satisfies within each other.
The sex between these two is off the charts hot. They are very imaginative and the intensity with which Jeff feels, takes your breath away. He wants to do right by Evan. To be her fantasy come true. He is scared to death of messing up. The genuineness displayed between these two is humbling. They are my favorite couple out of the three.
Tame is a beautiful compilation of some amazing couples. They all have their kinks, their idiosyncrasies. They are all getting to a point in their lives where they know who they are, and what they do and don’t want out of life. They are all both bold and scared. They are certainly relatable. Arden does such an amazing job of creating characters that are so multi-faceted that you are left yearning to have a conversation with them. The dialogue is brilliant, as is the texting and the book references. Everything comes together full circle for these amazing couples; these amazing friends.

This book was so entertaining and heartening to read; it’s a full cast of characters who are flawed, eccentric, loveable and connected. As Tame is the full trilogy, these stories flow seamlessly into each other.
Dishabille - Dahlia and Alex are Dominant/submissive (sexually). Dahlia has always been interested in submitting, but has never had anyone to submit to. Alex is not the typical romance read Dom – he’s endearing and seems like such a real, relatable person!
Morphoses - The story continues with Nick and Miranda front and center. Nick explores what he’s into sexually, while Miranda already has a definite kink she’s hoping Nick will accept.
Force Majeure – Jeff & Evan (female) are eccentric and kinky. Jeff is a genius with mild social disorders that make me want to be like Dahlia and be his friend and protect him! He is definitely not to be pitied though, as Jeff is strong and tries so hard to be all he can for Evan.
I found myself laughing out loud many times, and overall Tame was a refreshing change of pace from angst and spectacle; maintaining an engaging story of growth and development between characters with lots of great, kinky sex! I loved each character so much, and the men were all unique with their own quirks and dominating traits.

Unforgettable Kink Club Friends. I have had to read this whole series twice because it is just that good. If you like to read light BDSM where the characters really like each other and are intelligent then this series is for you. The characters are really unforgettable. Miranda had worked as a Manager at a Strip club, came into some money and decided to start her own club that she would like to visit. The first story is about her brother Alex, the second about Miranda and the third is about Alex's introverted friend Jeff. The first date good night kiss scene where he doesn't feel comfortable enough to come in but takes her underwear off is so hot that I have relived it in my thoughts at least 50 times. Wow! I would recommend to anyone who likes Erotic Romance.

Taken me a while to finish it due to busy schedules but it was totally worth it.
My favourite of the trilogy is Club Dishabille. I would certainly recommend this book to those new to and wanting to explore a BDSM world/B&D relationship. When I found the time to read it, only sleep could make me put the book down. It was funny, hot, touching and captivating. The naughty scenes are very well written. I would love to have my very own Alex! Perhaps I should sneak this into my partner's reading list and see if he picks up any tricks!

This is a trio of love stories, each dealing with different issues; ADHD, low testosterone and stuttering. The characters are well written, each with a depth and warmth all their own and I enjoyed the way the author brought each couple together. Issues are dealt with by each couple but there is also plenty of hot and at times kinky sex as well. Everyone can identify with the characters on some level throughout their stories. I look forward to reading more by Arden Aoide, she has a way with the written word I truly enjoy.

All three of these books focused on a different type of sexual sub sets. I really enjoyed the way that the author focused on some aspects that aren't usually discussed in serial style Erotica.
Starting the series by introducing Dahlia was genius. Dahlia is a woman who enjoys being a submissive and now that her daughter is old enough for her to focus on her own social life again she dives right in.
Contacting the owner of the local BDSM club & meeting up with her brings the reader into the world of sexual exploration. Patrons of the club can make use of the clubs privacy rooms/ dungeons or just mingle to find others that might share what intrigues are on display.
I really enjoyed the flipping of p.o.v. in all 3 stories. It gave me a clear understanding of what each character was thinking. The trilogy touches on 3 very different sexual kinks that were written in a way I found very sexy.
Out of the three couples that were focused on in this trilogy I REALLY enjoyed Evan and Jeff. Evan with her beautiful hair and her need for a dominant that could really bring the fear to the surface. Anyone who gets aroused by this type of bed play has had that awful awkward experience ; your partner wants to please you sexually but doesn't really enjoy being a Dom. It's awful for all parties involved.
Not only was I.T. guy Jeff quiet, a little geeky, and VERY awkward in social settings. The type of things he needed to meet his sexual satisfaction would be very hard for a person like him to articulate to the woman of his long term fantasy Evan.
As mentioned earlier once you've read the first book and get to know the quirky relationship that she has with her daughters father Nick, her.. well I won't spoil it by saying how her relationship with Alex and his sister Miranda becomes;) but suffice to say that by the time you finish this trilogy you'll have some new ideas for your paramour and you'll never look a tech guys the same again.
A huge plus for this author was that although it would take a lot of really open minded people to pull off what Dahlia, Alex, Nick, Miranda, Evan , and of course my favorite Jeff endure to find their H.E.A.
Arden wrote the characters like they could be anyone you work with , live next door to, even see yourself in. The sex scenes are very graphic and this series is absolutely aimed at a mature audience .
Rabidfaery was turned on while reading this set. It earned 3 1/2 stars and I've added this author as one to keep an eye on!

Let me start off by saying that this series took me almost a week to read, which is a long time for me. Not because of the length but, I don't know I was able to put it down easy and then still wanted to pick it up again. That so doesn't make sense at all but it is what it is :P
That said. I loved the characters and I think that is the main reason I kept coming back.
Not very often do you get a chance to read a book where the Dominate men are ummm, awkward, nerdy not the big scary bad ass as all the other books are about.
It was a really nice change. Very realistic IMO
I think there are a lot of different type of Dom men out there and it was a great to have normal men with real issues and insecurities wanting control in their own way.

My only negative thing is I really wish there was more. Especially with Morphoses book 2
Miranda was this <---> close to fulfilling a great fantasy with Nick and it just fads out. I mean the book ends happy but come on. Why could it not fad out AFTER the, bending him over and having her way with him, part. :(

To give each story its proper due I think I must write individual reviews and I'm not sure the measly 20K characters goodreads offers is enough ;-) kidding....well maybe not....

The principal characters in the stories are Dahlia, Nick, Miranda, Alex, Jeff and Evan.
With the exception of Evan the principal characters flow in and out of all three stories. Each characters unique personality warrants a separate book but they all work so well together that the intertwining adds to the depth of the story as a whole.

What a stimulating series ;) This collections of stories were superb on the description and details to each character. I must caution that these books do have instances of moderate/heavy BDSM that may not appeal to some. These stories were naughty and fun to read! I laughed with the characters and felt the books were written very smoothly. My only misgiving was the simple fact that these were all whirlwind relationships. I wish a little more time had been built in to the characters stories, so I could keep reading them and also to put a little more believe-ability into the books. I recommend this series to any person who enjoys BDSM & Fetish stories. I think you will truly enjoy them ;)

Well written with several editing issues. There are some strange inconsistencies with perspectives switching mid paragraph, but it's distracting, not irritating. This is a series of connected stand-alone books with no cliffhangers. Each story includes the introduction of characters for the next story.
Book 1: I didn't separately review this book because it already had a number of good reviews. It's the most traditional of the books with regards to BDSM.

I was gifted a copy by the author for an honest review. I actually wasn't fully sold on this series based off of the first book. I felt that a few of the characters were under-developed and that, that particular story wasn't finished. Going on to read part 2 and 3 - my thoughts changed. The character development became deeper - and the way that Arden ties all three stories together was done creatively and in a way to pull me in more. I personally feel that part 3 appealed to me most. But then again - maybe I like the quirkiness to Jeff. Definitely worth the reads!

Wow what can I say Arden you write so beautifully I'm so happy I finally got Tame off the TBR shelf and immersed myself in club Dishabille for the past few days.
I have to be honest I love ready about my Alpha men but your characters are not your A typical and I freakin loved that xx
If your ever board ( yeah right Erin I know ) please feel free to jot me down a chapter or 2 I seriously can't get enough of them and Jeff will be forever in my heart as will Nick life doesn't always go to plan but then maybe it does

Three stories in one!!!! Great book. Different book. Different kinks for different people. Now your Alpha/billionaire males but your average guys who work hard and want to play. Great female characters too. They were strong and loving. I connected with each female character at some point in their story. And great sex scenes.
