"I devoured your book. It's hard to believe how much these words have changed my attitude. I feel like a new woman! I can't thank you enough." -Rachel G.
When Motherhood Feels Too Hard is a refuge, a retreat, a place to be recharged and better fit for the battle. Motherhood is hard. That’s a fact. It’s labor-intensive, requiring the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of women who know much of their labor will not receive earthly accolades.
But Motherhood in the 21st century doesn't receive the support its position of importance deserves. Mothers are the "wind beneath the wings" of the next generation. If a group of people needs encouragement and help, it's the mothers of our day!
This eBook will likely cast a vision of motherhood you may never have even known. From a Christian perspective, these daily devotions could change your life.
It is a book you will want to read over and over, written in small snippets for daily renewal. It is refreshing, inspiring and even offers practical “survival tips” for the overwhelmed mom.
“This eBook is Kelly’s “cup of cold water” to mothers. We all need refreshment and encouragement when the hard days come, and Kelly has provided bite-sized (but meaty and thought-provoking) daily devotionals that urge us to take our calling as mothers seriously but remember at the same time that we are vessels of clay in need of God’s filling. These words are true whether you are the mother of one or the mother of ten! Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your beautiful insights into the calling of motherhood “from the trenches!” -Jennie Chancey, Ladies Against Feminism

This is not a typical “devotion” book. It is not full of deep theology, or infused with copious amounts of scripture, nor highlighting a certain doctrine/denomination.
Rather this reads like a breath of fresh air, an encouraging word to the tired mother, a poem, thoughts and insights, observations, a quote Here and there, and the constant pointing back to Christ. These are incredibly short reads, easily read along side your bible reading. And then at the end some very practical Mom “survival” advice which really is just ideas to help lighten your load and manage the busyness of motherhood.
Perfect for little bits of encouragement while struggling through hard seasons. It isn't super-deep information to have to plow through during periods of overwhelm, but is great to take in pieces each day over a month.
LOVE this book. Definitely one I grab off the shelf on rough parenting days when I feel like a bad or weary parent. Always something to encourage me and get me refocused.
This was an incredibly encouraging and morale-boosting book that I really needed to read. Motherhood has been feeling too hard lately, and this book helped me shift my focus off me and back onto the bigger picture of my purpose as a mother and how God can use me to bless my children. With short, manageable daily readings, it's one of the best devotionals I've read this year. For a weary mom, this was just the right thing for me!
