A dark secret puts them in the crosshairs of a relentless killer…

Ex-detective and current Elite Guardian Noelle Burton survived a horrifying attack by a serial killer as a child. Now, determined to put the scars of her past behind her, she’s intent on helping the Elite Guardians set up shop in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia. More, she’s wondering if her friendship with Dr. Jonah Harris, an ex-ER doctor turned medical examiner, might be more. But he has his own demons to fight—namely guilt over the death of his wife.

So, maybe not.

Meanwhile, Jonah can't ignore the growing desire he feels for Noelle. If only he knew he wasn’t going to destroy their friendship…

And then, tragedy strikes—the sudden death of a colleague rocks his world, and Jonah knows that there's more to the incident than meets the eye. In fact, he may have been the intended target. Now he needs Noelle…not just as a friend, but as a protector.

Noelle will have to protect Jonah, while not letting their friendship spark into something more, and Jonah will have to unravel the threat that stalks him. Clues lead them down a dark path, revealing unsettling connections to a series of unsolved crimes. And when they stumble upon the chilling possibility of a serial killer lurking in the shadows, all Noelle’s nightmares come back to life.

Then the unthinkable occurs—the killer strikes again, targeting someone close to them. Noelle and Jonah race against time to expose the truth and capture the killer…and when their friendship becomes something deeper, it’s clear they have everything to lose.

Award-winning, bestselling author Sami Abrams grew up hating to read. It wasn’t until her 30’s that she found authors that captured her attention. Now, most evenings, you can find her engrossed in a Romantic Suspense. In her opinion, a crime and a little romance is the recipe for a great story.

She lives in Northern California, but she will always be a Kansas girl at heart. She has a love of sports, family, and travel. However, a cabin at Lake Tahoe writing her next story is definitely at the top of her list.

Wow! Hunting Justice by Sami Abrams & Lynette Eason kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! This intense romantic suspense is the second book in the Elite Guardians: Savannah series & tells Noelle’s story.

Ex detective now Elite Guardian Noelle Burton was the victim of a serial killer & the only one to survive. Her best friend Dr. Jonah Harris finds himself in need of her services when his life is threatened after a colleague carrying a terrible secret is murdered. As they investigate the murder & unravel secrets, it seems Noelle’s serial killer is alive & well. Still suffering from memory loss after her escape, Noelle hopes to put the man who ruined her life behind bars once & for all.

I loved Noelle & Jonah. Noelle carries both physical & emotional scars from her traumatic experience, but her faith is still strong. Jonah blames himself for his wife’s death & struggles with his faith. Their friends to more romance was so good! In many ways they’re opposites, yet they compliment each other so well. I loved seeing the depth of their relationship all while having a killer after them at every turn.

The serial killer’s ruthless & persistent. Just when you think Jonah & Elle are safe, he pops up. Naming himself after Jack the Ripper, it was chilling to have part of the story from his POV. The nonstop action & exciting ending had me clenching my kindle.

I also loved seeing the other Guardians. Their close knit friendships make this series so enjoyable. I can’t wait for Juliette’s story. While this book can be read as a standalone, it’s better if you’ve read the first book in the series. Highly recommend to inspirational romantic suspense fans! I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

Wow, just wow!!

Like all the great suspense reads, Hunting Justice starts out with a bang!

This story was EPIC, and these characters were an absolute riot!! The constant good-natured teasing and camaraderie of the Elite Guardians team and the law enforcement officers they worked with made this a very enjoyable and gripping read.

Noelle and Jonah's friendship was the best. They were so sweet, and I liked how they worked through their weaknesses and fears together. I also appreciated how respectful and protective they were of each other throughout the case Noelle was working on with the other Guardians.

I loved the thoughtful portayal of people with special needs in this story and the cool coffee shop they helped run. I was pleasantly surprised to find out via DuckDuckGo that "Bitty and Beau's" is a real life coffee shop chain by the same name located in Georgia and 10 other states, that employs people with Down Syndrome, and gives them a chance to thrive in a kind public workplace.

I also loved the glimpses of Georgia scenery, local eats and Savannah culture.

While this read had some intense moments (it is suspense after all lol!) it was a really great read and part of a awesome new series I can't wait to finish reading!

Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for the complimentary e-book I received to review through Just Read Tours. I was not required to write a positive review and the thoughts above are solely my own.

I discovered Lynette Eason books last year thanks to a reading friend and I am hooked on them! When I saw this new series where she was featuring other authors I was intrigued and couldn't wait to pick them up. Sami A. Abrams did not disappoint with this second book! Wowsers! I was completely pulled in and didn't want to set the book down at all. It had such a great combination of suspense, healing, family, friends and sweet and clean romance with Christian fiction elements! I loved every minute of it. I also was holding my breath off and on waiting to see what was going to happen.

This is book two of the Elite Guardians books and I quickly read the previous book before picking this one up. Which I'm so glad that I did! It was fun to see Noelle and get some little glimpses of what her story could be. Then to be able to pick this one up right away and dive into hers and Noah's story was great. These Elite Guardians are fantastic! I love watching how they work together in protecting their clients and in supporting each other in their personal struggles as well. They are like a family.

Noah gets caught up in something he wasn't expecting without even realizing it. He's a medical examiner who has some struggles from his past and now trying to figure out how he ended up the target of a killer. I found myself guessing throughout the book in trying to piece together the clues that were laid for us readers in who the killer is.

I loved the tender moments between Noelle and Noah as they came to trust each other more and were able to open up and share about their pasts and their struggles. And the sweet chemistry and clean romance was wonderful! Add in the characters trusting in God and turning to Him for guidance and it was a very well rounded story!

I'm looking forward to the next Elite Guardians book now! If you haven't read any books by Lynette Eason or the authors she is sponsoring in writing these Elite Guardian books, I highly recommend you do so!

Content: The romance is clean and wholesome with nothing more than a couple sweet kisses. This is a Christian fiction book so there are references to God or the characters thinking about Him and needing His guidance. This is a suspense book so there are moments of mild peril, talk about kidnappings, torture (not graphic), and murders (not graphic). It was all done very tastefully but can definitely be triggers for some readers.

I received a copy from the JustReads tour. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

A creepy serial killer cold case, a murder who might or might not be a copycat, and two friends with serious baggage but growing unspoken feelings all added to a thriller and fast pace suspenseful read.

Jonah had a lot of regrets, doubted in his skills, and lost his way a bit after the death of his wife. Noelle was really a strong character, and even became stronger after readers got to see her history. Still, instead of being bitter, she held on to faith and was a light to Jonah through their friendship.

“I believe that’s what He really wants. He wants us to reach out to Him. Wants a friendship with us.”

The suspense and action never ended, which will keep readers up late into the night and the scenes with the POV from the killer added to the thrilling atmosphere.

I loved the banter and friendship of the Elite Guardian group and am looking forward to the third book in this installment.

It's another exciting adventure with Elite Guardians in Savannah. I loved getting to know Noelle and the layers underneath her business manager persona. Jonah was a down to earth and relatable hero. They both had some serious trauma in their past but the way they worked through it to find the light and purpose was admirable. Noelle's faith humbled me and allowed Jonah to be humbled as well. The suspense was pretty intense and the villain was difficult to pin down until the very end, even with his voice interspersed in the plot.

If you're looking for a fast-paced romantic suspense, this is the book for you. I received a complimentary copy courtesy of JustRead Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.

"The bodies in the Savannah, Georgia county morgue had nothing on medical examiner Dr. Jonah Harris. Tentacles of fatigue wrapped around him and nearly squeezed the life out of him. Finished for the work day, he dragged himself into his private office and collapsed onto the chair, melting into the cushion. He leaned back and ran his hands over his face. Three autopsies in one day had pushed him to his limit, but the young girl who'd died in her sleep had gutted him. A vacation sounded better by the minute."

As one can guess from the title, Jonah does not get go on vacation. Instead he finds himself trying to make up for mistakes made by a colleague. Danger quickly becomes a part of the quest. Thankfully his best friend, Noelle, is ready to help him.

Noelle lived through a horrific experience. She feels like she needs to hide her scars even from her friends. But can helping Jonah help her to finally move on from her past?

This is an intense romantic suspense book. The plot is complicated in the best of ways as it will keep the readers guessing. Other characters play a pivotal and enjoyable role in helping to solve the case. Although this case involves murder, the author does not provide many details. This makes it an intriguing book without the unnecessary gore.

I have enjoyed the "reboot" of the Elite Guardians. I was provided with an early copy of this book which made me happy as I wanted to read and review it. All opinions are my own.

The action, adventure, and romance continue in the fantastic second book of the Elite Guardians: Savannah series. You could easily pick this book up without having read the first book in this series or any books in any of the earlier connected series of novels. It can easily stand alone.

This story was simply captivating from the first page to the last. I loved that Jonah and Noelle had become close friends due to an injury that Jonah helped Noelle recover from. They were more open with each other than with any other people around them, however, both characters also held some deep hurts and secrets that they still hadn’t shared when the story began.

Yet it quickly became evident that there was a potential link between the threats on Jonah’s life and something horrible that had happened to Noelle when she was a teenager. The way these two had to learn to trust each other and the gentle care and love that Jonah showed to Noelle each time her insecurities rose to the surface was a testament to the kind of man he was. I loved this story from start to finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This review will post on my blog on 5/22/24.

This one was definitely intense, but the injuries were a bit skipped over or skimmed, which is a pet peeve of mine...

Characters:
I felt so bad for Noelle and everything she had been through.
Jonah was such a cinnamon roll...he was the sweetest guy, and I loved his character and his arc. *hugs*

Themes:
That we are not our past, and through Christ, we can find peace and freedom from guilt or shame.

Romance:
A slow friend to more.

Language:
N/A

Violence/Gore:
lots of injuries...a death, explosion, Jonah works at a morgue...snipers, people get shot, choked, locked in a cooler, etc... nothing overall gory but lots of action

Overall:
Pretty good. Injuries were skimmed, which is my biggest pet peeve... like someone tried to choke you to death yesterday, but shouldn't you still be feeling that today? like talking should be difficult and painful with bruising right now... right? I'm just saying...
But other than that, it was a very intense and fun book.

With multiple authors for this series, readers' expectations of strong, cohesive writing is fulfilled. Each book is a stand-alone, but best consumed in the set.

Sami Abrams' contribution contains twists and hours of high-octane suspense. Main characters' self-journeys elicit intense emotions. For everyone who has self-doubt, feeling less-than and struggles with worthiness, read on. Trauma and the fallout are gently and accurately addressed as well.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

Riveting romantic suspense! I couldn't put it down. Noelle Burton has a devastating past she keeps hidden. It has taken so much from her. Her friend Dr. Jonah Harris has to unravel a major problem his mentor gave him shortly before he was killed. Their friendship throughout these dangerous times draws them closer together and they learn to lean on God.

Hang on to your seats as friendship and danger grow in this fast paced romantic suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed this story!

Sami A. Abrams with mentor Lynette Eason has created a suspense-filled story that will keep you guessing until the end. Like the first book in this series, Abrams deals with neurodivergent characters. Noelle Burton, the heroine, is a person with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and the hero, Jonah Harris, is a person with Attention Deficit Disorder. I really like this slant because it shows how neurodivergence doesn’t limit people from achieving their career dreams. If you like suspense and action, you won’t be disappointed in this story. It starts with a bang, literally, and becomes a cat and mouse type story until the serial killer is finally caught. One thing I always like is seeing the villain’s point of view, so if you like that too, you won’t be disappointed in this story. There is a faith element but it’s never preachy. Finally, the romance isn’t insta-love. When the story starts, we learn Jonah and Noelle are already friends, who realize during the trials they face that they feel much more for one another. If you like previous books by Abrams and Eason, you won’t be disappointed in Hunting Justice.

Hunting Justice! All I can say is, wow, what a story. It has it all. Serial killer, bodyguard, cover-up. This book was so good.

As Noelle and Dr. Jonah try to figure out what his good friend was hiding. And trying to evade a serial killer, Noelle's past looks to be linked to the case. With wild twists and turns, this story was a real page turner. And the ending! Wow!!
I can't wait for the next Elite Guardians book.

Where to even begin?? There is so much going on in Hunting Justice!

Serial killers, unsolved crimes, and haunting pasts—just to name a few. Noelle and Jonah have a lot to work through in their hearts before they're ready for romance again...but, first, they need to focus on staying alive!

I loved watching the characters work through there pasts, as they learned to trust and love again.

Sami Abrams and Lynette Eason did a stunning job with this one! I can't wait to read more Elite Guardians: Savannah novels.

Hunting Justice is the second installment of the Elite Guardians Savannah series. This one focuses on Noelle and Jonah, a medical examiner.
Jonah has his own personal demons to fight and feels guilty that he couldn't save his wife from dying when he was an ER doctor. Noelle has her own demons to contend with. She struggles with letting go of the ideal of being model perfect with no flaws and blemishes, something that her mother has drilled into her, and has to learn to trust God in everything, including falling in love.
This fast-paced, action-packed romantic suspense story has twists and turns. It involves a serial killer that has ties to Noelle's harrowing past and the attacks on Jonah after the death of his friend and chief medical examiner. I couldn't put this story down as I was trying to figure out the serial killer's identity.

I’ve said it before, but romantic suspense is fast becoming a top tier genre for me, and Hunting Justice was no exception.

Noelle has so much trauma in her past, I can’t even imagine how hard that would be in her line of work. Jonah has an equally difficult and tragic past, and the way that they help each other through this is my favorite part of this story.

I seriously love Noelle and Jonah! The way their relationship evolved throughout the book was just so sweet and organic.

The suspense in this one was just top notch too. It definitely had my full attention from beginning to end. I have really enjoyed this spinoff series, especially cameo’s from past characters! I can’t wait for the next installment.

A special thank you to the author and publisher for a chance to read the book!

The Elite Guardians are at it again! This team is incredible every time and I cannot get enough of this bada** women and the lengths they will go to protect their clients and the people they love!

Noelle and Jonah's story was very unique. I loved their chemistry and how they slowly slid into each other's hearts without either of them realizing it until it was too late! They worked together wonderfully as a team and I really liked how they were both able to help the other overcome the pain they had experienced.

The case EGA was working on in this book was intense. To avoid any spoilers, I'll just say this, I liked the unique spin on this story and how this case not only affected Jonah's life and safety, but Noelle's as well. It made the stakes higher and everyone on the EGA team pitch in even more than usual.

Altogether, I love these adventures. And Sami has such a gift for weaving the stories and romance together. Keep the Elite Guardian novels coming please!!!

Hunting Justice is book two in the Elite Guardians: Savannah series. This one is written by Sami Abrams. The books can be read as standalones, however the series really is an action packed series. I’ve been fortunate enough to read everything that this author has written and I’ve always loved all of her work. This book is my favorite.

Noelle survived being kidnapped and tortured by a serial killer that was never caught. She threw herself into a law enforcement career and now works with the Elite Guardians. She had a murder wall in her home. Dedicated to herself and the victims that did not survive. She keeps her pain deep down and has never really told anyone about her time in captivity.

Until she meets Jonah. A widowed ER doctor turned medical examiner. Over the last year he has forged a friendship with Noelle. He still feels a lot of guilt for the death of his ex-wife. One day, his mentor and boss, Ken, comes to him and admits to falsifying autopsy reports. He wants to discuss things with Jonah, but when Jonah arrives at Ken’s home suddenly it blows up. It doesn’t take long to find out that someone is making sure that his secrets are staying hidden.

Jonah depends on Noelle and her Elite guardians team for around the clock protection. It becomes clear that the killer will not stop until Jonah is eliminated. Why falsify autopsy reports Jonah and Noelle determined to figure that out.

In the meantime, they both have to work through some of their past and baggage to be able to put the pieces together to solve the puzzle. I really liked their chemistry together. The author did a great job and pairing their personalities.

Action packed, full of heart pounding suspense, and lots of twist and turns will keep you on the edge of the seat with this book. This has to have been my most favorite book by this author. I have enjoyed the elite guardians series and was excited to see the Savannah Branch, open up.

The author, publisher, and JustRead tours for allowing me to read a copy of this book. All thoughts on my own.

Hunting Justice, book 2 in the Elite Guardians: Savannah trilogy, is full of high octane thrills and chills!
When his friend/boss calls him with a confession and plea for help, medical examiner Dr. Jonah Harris is thrown for a loop - literally - by an explosion after he arrives at Ken’s house.
With very little information to go on, Jonah turns to his best friend, Elite Guardian Noelle Burton. They kick off an investigation, but are halted time and again on attacks on their lives. WHO is after him, and why?
Sparks have simmered between these two for a long time, but neither have admitted it, even to themselves. They both have carried guilt, burdens, and scars for years from their pasts, holding each back from the hope for a bright future. But what happens when they finally give their burdens to the Lord? Could they have the strength to take a chance on each other?
You will definitely want to find out! Plus it has my favorite, an epilogue!

Hunting Justice, by Lynette Eason and Sami A. Abrams is a well written, action packed Christian suspenseful read. The story is fast paced with several twists and turns. I especially enjoyed the characters Noelle and Jonah and how they cared for each other. I found it enjoyable to read as their relationship grew and they realized what their true relationship was. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and kept it to the very end. I found it hard to put this book down as it kept me guessing to the end. I admire Noelle’s character and the strength she has to move forward with her job as it brings back memories from her past. I found the faith aspect of the story to be mild yet inspirational.

Hunting Justice by Lynette Eason and Sami A. Abrams features a serial killer who had captured the heroine in the past. She still has the physical and mental scars from the horror that she had to endure at his hands. The plot will keep readers on their toes as Eason and Abrams throw events after events into the hero and heroine’s lives as they true to find out if the killer is back. Does he want the heroine? The heroine has mental PTSD from the moment that has affected her daily life. The romance is a friend-to-lovers love story. They were friends before, but the events they needed to conclude thrust them into deeper and tighter spots. They open up to each other about their past and start to feel emotions toward each other. Eason and Abrams does a wonderful job at bringing spirituality into the story. Not something that made a character change his view on life, but enough to make him wonder if he should go back to his childlike faith in God. Overall, Hunting Justice by Lynette Eason and Sami A. Abrams read like an Eason novel. Plenty of action with a hint of romance. I really like that serial killer plot thread. Made me want to read faster.

This is book two in the Elite Guardians of Savannah book series. You definitely need to read book one first. Otherwise, you’ll have missed out on a lot of dynamics that make the story better. You would also benefit from reading the original Guardian series. Oh, and there are a few novellas as well. They’re all amazing. If you can’t tell I’m biased and have loved all of the series so want you to love them as well.

OKAY. FOR SOME ACTUAL ABOUT THIS NOVEL.
In this book, we focus on Noelle. She survived a serial killer as a teen. It has shaped her. Not only her self-worth but also how she presents her body to others. And her security is also a huge deal because of this. Nobody close to her knows about this. No one except her therapist and her mom. Nobody that is until she reveals it to Doc. Or Jonah as Noelle calls him.

Doc has some major issues of his own after he’s blown across a yard going to see his friend who has a confession to make. He didn’t get to hear his friend’s confession as he died from the blast. But the interesting fact is that the friend was shot first.

NOW SOMEONE IS AFTER JONAH AND NOELLE IS GOING TO PROTECT HIM.
But what happens when the serial killer case that Noelle is fixated on (her own serial killer) becomes linked to the current case that Jonah is messed up in? Noelle has a whole room dedicated to all of the victims of her serial killer. She’s told Jonah she’s working a cold case but not why it’s special to her. None of her friends even know of the case.

As Noelle has to open up and allow others in can she heal from the trauma of her attack? Can she overcome the damage that has been done? And can she maybe allow herself to fall in love?

As for Jonah, can he stay alive long enough to forgive himself for his wife’s death? Can he just stay alive? And will he allow himself to acknowledge his feelings for Noelle and say he is worthy?

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from JustRead Publicity Tours. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
