What wasn’t part of the plan was the baby bump from my one-night stand with Mr. Grumpy.
In the dimly lit bar, I clumsily stumbled into the quiet, incredibly sexy ex-SEAL. I was determined to thaw his cold demeanor, while he showed me how a real man handles a woman. The next day, I couldn’t remember much except for his perfectly chiseled body and his lingering touch. But the hot stud in a chef jacket from the coffee shop seems oddly familiar. Could it be him? Wouldn't he recognize...me? One day, my coffee shop stud rescued me from a mugging with his strong arms of steel. I’ve asked him to teach me self-defense. Our entwined bodies lead to intoxicating, passionate touches. With every movement, our sexual tension heightens till we surrender to each other. I’m falling for him…Hard. I have a surprise that may unravel everything. I’m offered a dream job in another city and he’s about to be a daddy.

Amelia Moore, a 30-year-old curvy beauty with a dimpled, heart-shaped face, hazel eyes, olive complexion and long black hair, has chosen to become a traveling nurse, and preferring assignments in the maternity ward, she is in high demand. Currently, she is completing a 6-month gig in LA, and has rented an apartment within walking distance of the hospital where she is contracted. And like many professions which move often, she has learned to live light, filling her apartment home with only objects that she loves, that make her happy, and that are easy to pack.
An only child, Amelia knows that her rootless existence found its origin when the 20-year-old, shy college student unexpectedly became an orphan when her parents were killed in car accident on their way to a movie theater. So, with no family—siblings or parents—Amelia has decided to use her rootlessness to her advantage. Following her profession as a labor and delivery nurse around the country, she has found joy and purpose in supporting new families get started. And with her big, furry, opinionated cat, Goat, she has travelled from assignment to assignment, city to city.
And now in LA, the city of her current travelling gigg, Amelia has settled into her current labor and delivery assignment and is happily indulging her art and foodie passions, seeking out engaging, packable pieces of art that make her happy and unique dining experiences to entice her palate. Currently, she is on the list for an opening at The Indigo Eatery, the LA dining scene’s hottest and most desired reservation in a town filled with hot places to dine. But, getting on the list—securing a dining ticket—is like winning the lottery. And, as she awaits her opportunity in fine dining, she and new friend, Chloe, a fellow nurse, who has expressed interests shared by Amelia—dining, drinking, dancing—the new friends are exploring the fun sides of LA.
What Amelia doesn’t know is that her new foodie obsession—The Indigo Eatery—is the baby of former Navy Seal, Sebastian Adams, another lone soul like herself. The tall, broad chested, indigo blue-eyed man with blonde hair that mingled with stands of brown, and a short-clipped beard, was not a man to suffer fools gladly. A child of loving but money-strapped parents, he knew early on that he wanted to feed people, to provide them with the satisfaction of delicious, stomach-filling happiness.
But, even as a child, he knew that his dreams were limited by the absence of money. So, he made a life altering decision. While he couldn’t afford culinary school, the Navy would train, clothe and shelter him for his service. And, as a man of formidable strength and size, the SEALS program of the Navy could provide the boy becoming a man the disciple, training and opportunity that others would need money to acquire. And, understanding that the basic training that all sailors were required to fulfill gave him the opportunity to not only gain skills of warfare and survival, but also gain the foundation of his professional love—cooking.
When he reached the age of 25 he chose to retire and engaged in eight years of training for his dream job—chef. Now, as an older, mature man, having completed his years of service, Sebastian has retired with skills, discipline and a financial foundation to allow him to train and to follow his dream of being chef in his own restaurant. With his Navy retirement, he was able to study with chefs, building on the foundational skills of working and running a kitchen that could feed a crowd. And his deployments had allowed him to experience the cuisines offered diverse places of the world where he was deployed.
So now, the culinary genius guiding LA’s most desired reservation, The Indigo Eatery, has caught that imagination and the gastronomical desires of not only the wealthy, but as so the interest of Amelia Moore who loves new, original food. And, when one of inventive recipes of clever chef is published in the local paper, Amelia temporarily placates her desire to dine at The Indigo Eatery, by attempting to craft one of the premier Eatery’s dishes. But what neither accomplished chef nor beautiful nurse and foody ever imagined was that one night in the broom closet of a local bar would allow the two to connect in an unforgettable passion. And when Fate allows them to cross paths again in a local coffeeshop, the two strangers who had become secret closet lovers, begin the slow and steady discovery of love.
Olivia Bolton weaves an engaging tale of unexpected love and evolving happiness as the two strangers become friends and lovers.

This was a cute book but the only negative I had about this was the fact that the title said baby for grumpy chef. However, she didn’t have the baby until later on in the book so with that said, it was more of a relationship, kind of book with a grumpy guy and yes he stated he was a chef but he hardly cooked until when she was pregnant in the beginning she cooked so with that said I think this book should have been named something like a Grumpy Business Owner and that is just my opinion and other then that this didn’t have a lot of drama as I would expect it to have so with that said it was good, but I wish I had more drama. However, I would actually recommend this because it was one of those heartwarming books that you would be able to read and actually enjoy reading because it was one of those books that you could just calmly read through and enjoy each chapter because it was different plot then other books I read related to this subject so I would definitely recommend this book for that reason, but I do wish there was more drama added to make this book a page turner. P.s. this book was filled with a lot of spice to make this story sizzling hot.

🍾🍾ONE DELIGHTFUL THRILL🍾🍾 Dipping donuts Dan! Olivia takes the reigns, cracks the whips and let'r rip, laying out one thrillingly tempestuous, tantalizingly compelling, tilt-our-world tsunami. Riding through on the wings of a raging inferno, hotter than an erupting volcano and more explosive than dynamite, setting this little treasure into a tizzy with a life-altering climax. The combustible attraction and high-octane chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back, binding souls, entwining hearts, sizzling emotions and intense devotion, binding them together beautifully. The characters are spot-on authentic with separate distinctions and engaging attributes along with charismatic personalities, adding depth and range, playing off one another beautifully. Throw in artfully constructed scenarios graphically descriptive and distinctively vivid, painting vibrant scenes so adorned and opulent, blasting this gem to life beautifully. Fabulous job Olivia, thanks for sharing this delightful gem with us.
Chloe tries to convince her best friend Amelia to go out to a bar with her for some fun. She finally gives in and is uncomfortable in her very short borrowed dress that she can’t stop tugging on. Chloe sends Amelia, who knows nothing at all about drinks, to the bar and tells her to buy them a drink while she claims a pool table. Of course, Amelia also has no clue how to play pool. This was not a good idea. After Chloe sees what she brings back, Chloe takes care of the drinks for the rest of the evening.
Since Amelia now is well under the influence, she ends up falling into a very attractive ex-SEAL. Aside from the enjoyment of his touch and the way they spent their night, she couldn’t remember much else. Will they bump into each other again… maybe soon? And how will he react to the little surprise they share? Will this change her plans? Or will she be leaving for a new job elsewhere?
A lovely, well written story, with a slow build steamy romance, drama, action, humour, self-defence, misunderstandings, some lovely spicy scenes and a great HEA.

[dnf @ 14%] i find it slightly unbelievable that the characters can't recognize their one-night stand, is the lights too dark that they can't remember their faces? it's not like their one-night stand happened years ago...
Amelia meets Sebastian in a bar and they hit it off which leads to a one night stand. When they see each other again, the chemistry is still there and take up where they left off. What happens when she gets a job offer in another city? Will he let her go without him?
