"Bringer of Death", "Evil One", "Most Despised", "Leader of the Damned": all of these were names that Alkinai (Kin) had worn arrogantly for most of his life.

He took pride in each name and allowed them to be bullet points on his résumé. He was one of the most powerful and most feared men in the land. Yet, he was lost. Dreams plague his mind and torment his soul. When the woman that has held his heart for a decade walks away, he finds himself torn. Little did he know he was to be a father.

Katana has always known who she was and who Alkinai was to her. He refuses to accept that he is her Intended, her Etam. Finding out that he may be the very evil her family despises causes her to rethink their impasse. Kat's fear for the life of their unborn child and a whispered word from a certain Foresayer (Soothsayer/Foreseer) causes her to exit the life that she's known with Alkinai.

Will the possible loss of his family be enough to make Kin take a look at the choices that he's made? Or will the engrained nature and bloodline of his father rule his life and turn his heart costing him his Intended and a place in the life of his unborn child?

I was given Night Hunter in exchange for an honest review.
Night Hunter was a very interesting read for me, I'm a paranormal junkie and I'm not sure I've came across another story like it yet. I loved her characters, Katana and Kin were easy to read about. Kin is a tad dark, you like him but you sense he's holding back and holding out secrets from Katana. So at first, you're not sure he can be trusted...He can, no worries. I really liked Katana, she didn't take any crap from Kin, she held her own just fine with his alpha male tendencies. My favorite character though was the quite, silently waiting, unseen hottie named Hari. I hope to we get to know him better in the next book.
While I really liked the story and the characters, there is a reason I only gave it 4 stars. I got lost/confused a lot reading this book. I sometimes didn't know who was talking, I also felt like it skipped from one thing to another to quickly... Regardless of that, I DID very much enjoy the book. The story was different, it had some good twists and some very yummy sex scenes. I will for sure read the next book. I give Night Hunters 4 out of 5 stars

A unique blend of paranormal creatures. Alkinai must battle his demons and learn the truth about his parents. Katana is his sanctuary, yet she has never been obedient or subservient like he had expected her to be. She could give as good as she got. Unsure of the changes and upheavals in his life, she is his sole comfort. Until he unintentionally hurts her and drives her away. Can he make amends before it is to late?

Night Hunter by E.L.R. Jones

This one didn't really work for me. It felt off from the beginning, like I was missing something. More like it was the second book in the series, and I never felt caught up. I also had some difficulty visualizing the creatures and the situations. The descriptions were distracting instead of enlightening.
