Another fabulous read! To me this was Milly's best so far. Great character development, action, romance and erotica all in one book. I love how this book is part of a series, yet totally stands alone on its own. It was so easy to fall into this book, because it moves at a quick pace without missing a beat. Once I started reading, it was a Do Not Put Down Until Finished Book! Nate is a totally hot male lead and Karla is the type of female character that all females can relate too in some way. Great friendships in the book are always an added bonus. Can't wait to read the final copy and buy a signed paperback for my special collection!

Sexy Shifters...very light read.

I can't help it. Once again this author did not disappoint. The story isn't overwhelmed by paranormal aspects, yet they enhance the entire plot. There's not chapters spent explaining anything and though it's a 2nd book in the series, readers are not left in the dark. It could very well work as a stand alone novel.
Larger than life Karla is amazing! I love her spunky attitude. I love the fact that she is a real woman. She's not toothpick thin, she embraces her body the way it is. She's not intimidated by her crush Nate. She takes what he gives and tries to walk away.
Only he won't let her. Of course not, he's a Wolfe. Which in and of itself means sexy. You may want to have a bucket of ice near you while reading this book! Nate and his Wolfe family men are all too sexy to handle, not that I wouldn't mind handeling them. The story is explosive and if you have read the 1st in the series, you'll be begging for the next one after this! The drama with Caleb's pack just gets deeper in this book. But, your fave characters from Sassy 1 are back. It's like long lost friends.
I feel that with each book by this author I read, they get better and better. Not to say that her other books are bad, they aren't... I loved them too, but I feel as if the stories mature, and grow with her as an author. I look forward to reading much more from her in the future.

I am Team Nate all the way!!! This book is the second book of the Sassy Mates series and it was even better than the first. Taiden ramped up the danger and the passion in this one. I loved the characters and their depth. Karla absolutely broke my heart in some respects but Nate...big strong alpha that he was...pursued her every step of the way! A family situation allowed Karla to see that family is not just who you share blood with but those who will be with you through thick and thin. I want to be adopted by the Wolfe family :).

Once Bitten, Twice as Scared! Our 5 sassy women are back again! Now that Jordan and Aric have mated, it's time for another couple, Karla and Nate, to fall. But this one is a little different, she is scared he won't really commit based on her mother's experience with men. Not to mention someone still seems to be after Jordan and Kass, Karla's identical twin, shows up to cause problems. And now a bit about the story...
We start at the same scenting ceremony from book one, but this time "Spot" (aka Nate) sneaks up on Karla. Before we know if they are naked and having a glorious time! Karla even gets a little bite out of it to mark her as his. Of course she doesn't know this and then all hell breaks loose. It's three weeks later before she even sees or hears from him, little does she know he stops by at night just to check on her and be near her... if only they would communicate! When rouges and humans start attacking the drama escalates ... tune into see who's up to no good this time!

A Mate's Bite, has some over-lapping scenes with The Scent of a Mate and well Nate is just as yummy as Aric, perhaps even more so and Karla good grief I loved her, "his big body loomed over her. She swallowed hard. "You're..um...you're naked." Nate when he's into his wolf side that man is all animal, "baby," he groaned. A quick flick of his wet tongue and he licked her belly in a circle. "You smell delicious" He holds nothing back where his girl is concerned, "baby, the wild side wants to eff you senseless," he said, his voice deeper and harder due to how turned-on he was." He knows how to get his girl going, "I was going to say you're going to rub that sexy body of yours all over me, and then I'm going to eat your pu**y to the point you're going to think you died and went to heaven." I really do love this series, but I'm really looking forward to Ellie and Caleb's story.

A super hot, sweet, and lovely romance, A Mate's Bite was a wonderful read. I really liked this book. It was a truly enjoyable romance read.
Both of the main characters were great. Karla was tough and unwilling to let anyone walk all over her. But, she was also kind and willing to forgive if given a reason to. I really liked her. Nate was very sweet and loyal to those he cared about. I really liked him, too.
The romance was very hot. The chemistry was just sizzling between these two. And, they were also very sweet together. I thought they were a lovely couple.
The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through. The problem of Kass (who was a total psycho) kept me on the edge of my seat, with all the chaos the selfish shrew caused. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely.
A Mate's Bite was a fantastic paranormal romance. I really liked this book. Romance lovers, if you want something hot, then this is a book you have to check out.

A Mate's Bite is Milly Taiden's second book in her Sassy Mates series. Each book can be read as a stand alone book but the series does feature recurring characters so I definitely recommend reading Scent of a Mate first.
In A Mate's Bite, Karla Alves is in love with one of her best-friend's brothers and has been for seven years. Nate Wolfe secretly returns her feelings and has decided to finally make his move at a wolf scenting ceremony. Wolf politics, terrible siblings, and some bad wolves don't make the relationship easy, just very very interesting.
I loved the first book but I will have to say I enjoyed this book even more. Milly builds up her wolf world even more with so many future possibilities, love to look forward to future romances. I especially loved Karla's triplet brother and I so hope Milly is planning a story for him. Highly recommend this book and this series!

Wow this book was so awesome I could not put it down from the beginning to the end. Nate is trying to prove that he loves her and will be there no matter what her child hood was like, he wants to show her love. This story is action packed with a lot of emotional turns that keep you wanting to read. Milly Taiden did a wonderful job in her second book to the Sassy Mates series. This book has such a great story line and strong characters. You will not want to miss this book and you might want to pick up Scent of mate.

Once again, Ms. Taiden has written a steamy, can't put it down, hot shifters and great family dynamic book! A Mate's Bite is a great follow up in the Sassy Mates series. At the start, we go back to the beginning of Scent of a Mate to the scenting ceremony to see what happens when Nate happens upon Karla setting up to view the proceedings. And like in the first book, things get steamy and fast! Karla has had a big 'ol crush on Nathan Wolfe for the last seven years. But since she grew up with a mother who was screwed in the head when it comes to men, she has built up an emotional wall hoping to not follow in mommy dearests footsteps. This is not good, seeing as Nate has known for the last seven years that Karla is his mate. He's tried to be patient and wait for her to realize he wants more than friendship with her but she's just taking too dang long! So he sees his opportunity during the ceremony and he takes it. Oh boy does he take it! ;) Unfortunately, pack business calls him away and he gets to see very little of Karla over the next few weeks, which gives her just enough time to over think things and keep those walls in tacked. So, what's a hot, loving shifter like Nate to do?! Well, he does anything and everything he can to knock those walls down, while also trying to protect his human mate from the threat that is still going on from the first book. And let me tell you, Nate doesn't mess around. He goes all out and it was so much fun seeing him show her she belongs to him and that's that! I love Ms. Taiden's writing style and this book was just as great as the others I've read. She definitely knows how to write a steamy yet captivating romance. We get to see Karla come to some conclusions about love and family and take that step to claim what's rightfully hers. Nate! Oh Nate! He is one hot and possessive wolf! I like that while we get a conclusion for Nate and Karla, we still have the ongoing plot from the first book with the neighboring shifter pack that I assume will be an ongoing plot throughout this series. I am really looking forward to reading the next book to see which brother will have to figure out how to claim his mate! :)

First let me say that while this book could stand alone alright, I highly recommend reading them in order to avoid confusion and unanswered questions. It’s absolutely worth it!
This book, like the last, puts a lot of value in family, regardless of blood relation. The importance of friends and true family is so strong that it just makes you think of those you hold dear. My only complaint is that Kelvin is such a fun part of the beginning of the book that I was sad when he just sort of falls off the radar in the second half.
Other than that, the book is sexy as hell and incredibly sweet. The plot is interesting and keeps you engaged in both the moment and the big picture. I really want more action on Caleb’s front and I can’t wait for that story. The rest of the characters are each as addicting and I can’t wait for all of their stories.
This one started off with the same scenting ceremony from the first book before fast forwarding to pick up where book one left off, so I am curious to see how the others go in the regard as well!

Then he gets a call from his sister that he needs to go to Karla now. That she needs him. So he puts the pack business on the back burner and puts Karla first.
Karla's sister comes to visit but it is not a happy visit. Her sister brings nothing but trouble with her. Can Nate prove to Karla that he wants to be with her?
I was hooked from the start. I loved it! This is a great book. This is the first book that I had read by Milly and I am a huge fan now. I can't wait to read more in this series! I definitely recommend reading. This book can be read as a stand alone.

Second book in the series, very light on story, heavy on the sex. As a result, I don’t remember alot of details (and I just finished it) other than Kara is protective of her heart, and what’s his face isn’t a strong hero, but he’s apparently very hot and they have lots of hot sex. Why did I pick this, you may ask? It's a BBW story, which I gravitate to, I do like the family structure, and I’ll probably keep reading, if only because I am hoping that the next book delves more into the characters and the world built, as opposed to just the sex.

I don’t know; this was just a blah sort of read to me. It felt way to similar to previous book, and I tend to bail out when all the characters and plots start feeling too similar. The sex in this read was hot. But everything else seemed to be overly cliché and predictable. The storyline never really appealed to me. I also feel this book is currently way over priced at its listing price of $3.99. It's only 166 pages.

I will be the first to admit that Karla and her commitment and attachment issues remind me of myself before i met my husband. Her mother is nutz and so is mine. needless to say i was able to strongly relate to the characters in this second installment of Milly Hottness!. Loved It! the small teases about the other fantastic four Wolfe brothers makes me want the next book asap. Read it folks!

Upon meeting all the characters in Scent of a Mate, I knew each of their stories would be great. Karla had a not so stellar upbringing. She is one of triplets, but was only close to her brother. Nate is a Wolfe, so he was raised in a tight, loving family. The joining of these two, despite her issues was magical.

Book two is a smashing hit, at least I think so. The author smoothly picked up where the second book ended, keeping the action moving like we never left. There is a return of all our favorite characters and we get to see our sassy heroine find her euphony about her man. During the course of the book, she has a complete change in her outlook and it’s beautiful to behold. This couple was meant to enjoy their HEA. I can’t wait to see who finds their’s next.

Another quick & sizzling installment to the Sassy Mates series. The protectiveness & possessiveness the Wolfe brothers demonstrate on a daily basis continues to rev my engine. And the surprise(s) that came along with this one... Loved it to pieces. I only wish that the leading ladies would have a little more faith in their men at times!

This book could have been SO MUCH BETTER. It was mostly just a continuation of the first book, but from different characters perspectives. There wasn't enough of the story revolving around the new characters, and way to much happening to those from the first book. It was awkward, and unbelievable. Ill give the next one a try, and hope for better than we got with this one.

Arika Rapson was a great narrator, I have listened to other books and enjoyed them as well. I have never listened to Milly Taiden before, but I really enjoyed the overall story as well as the love story. I thought that it was very cute how all of these brothers fell in love with their sisters college friends. I can't wait to see how the story unravels and to listen to the next book.
