Camden Shepherd grew up secretly in love with her older brother's best friend, Shane. The night of her 18th birthday party, she finally gets the nerve to confess her true feelings to him, only to be completely rejected. Heartbroken, she runs away from home, leaving no forwarding address and breaking contact with her family.
Three years later, Camden arrives at her family's annual camping weekend, with a new guy in tow. Her family is shocked to see her, but they welcome her and her new guy with open arms. Because they are so excited to see her, they don't ask the questions that have been plaguing them - like where she has been or why she has decided to come back - but those questions are much more important than they realize.
Shane Hunt has had three years to miss Camden and to regret pushing her away. The moment he sees her at the campground, he knows that he isn't letting this opportunity go to waste. Shane wants Camden back, and he's not letting a new guy stand in his way.
But Camden has a major secret that could change everything and could potentially tear her family apart. The thing is, she's not the only one hiding a secret. Shane's got a big one up his sleeve as well.
Kaleigh James has always loved storytelling. Whether read in a book, heard around a campfire, or performed on stage, she knew she wanted to be a part of telling stories that would change peoples' lives, if only for an hour or two.
Sidetracked by life, Kaleigh focused her efforts on being a good wife and mother, but her dream to tell stories never went away. She found her heart in theatre, but the hours weren't conducive to raising a family, so she went back to work in corporate America.
Her husband never stopped urging her to write, so Kaleigh made a New Year's Resolution on January 1, 2013 to finish a book before the year was finished. Her debut novel, Only You, is the result of that resolution. It can be found as an ebook on major retail sites, such as Smashwords.com and Amazon.com.
Kaleigh lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband of twelve years and their three beautiful children.
This was a great book I wasn't expecting what happen in the story but it was really good a little sad though. The only thing I didn't like was when Camden was in the wrong but Shane was the one that went after her.

I received this novel from the author, Kaleigh James, in exchange for an honest review, and I absolutely loved it! I'm not sure where to start. Well, the novel begins three years ago where we learn of the main character, Camden Shepherd's, love for her brother's best friend, Shane Hunt. Because he is best friends with Brody, Camden's love for Shane was pretty much forbidden. Camden and Shane's love story is touching and beautiful, yet heart wrenching. Only You has a great deal of emotions in this story. This book made me smile, cry, and laugh. Also, can I just say how much I love the Shepherd Family and Eric? I'm in need of an Eric after reading this story. Trust me when I say, you will not regret reading Only You. Thank you to Ms. James for writing an incredible book. I look forward to her next story in this series. In the words of my sister, this is a STOP EVERYTHING YOU'RE DOING AND BUY THIS NOVEL book!
I absolutely love this novel. We read about Camden and Shane's love story. The misunderstanding at first, how they battle Camdens disease and how in the end after all what happened and the drama about Shane's ex they had their deserve happy ending.
I can't wait to read the next book. Can't wait to read about Brody and Stella's love story.
In this book we meet Camden, Shane and the rest of Camden’s family. We also meet Eric Camden’s best friend. This book is nothing like I thought it was going to be, so I have no idea how I am supposed to write this review but here we go I have to try. I absolutely loved the first part of this book, before I requested it to r2r I sampled it on Amazon too. Thinking ohhh this is real good. I liked the writing style and the story seemed interesting too, with the girl running off to do her own thing and coming back 3 years later. Then everything changed for me, it went totally downhill as this book crossed several of my hard limits, I do not want to read about pregnancy’s, births and cute babies. I don’t find it cute and it is not my thing at all. When you get sentences like “oh the baby is hungry” and the leading lady is 7 weeks pregnant I do not find that cute at all. If I had known about this upfront I had not pick this book up. (Please put up a little warning or something.)
In this book we meet quite a lot of ppl:
Cameron starts out a nice girl but after a while I just can’t relate to her at all. She makes some decision I just can understand at all and makes me dislike her because I think she acts dumb. She acts in a way that goes against my personal beliefs.
Shane seems like an OK guy that has made some mistakes in life that he seriously regret. He has made a new life and are running a business and doing OK for himself. Shane is a hunk, I would so do him.
Brody is Cameron’s brother, he seems OK but is a womanizer. I did not have anything against him until he hits Shane. I did not particularly like that.
Eric is Cameron`s bff, he is my absolutely favorite person in this book and I wish I had an Eric myself, great character.
Overall the first 40 % of this book was OK. Some of it was actually real good and for the first 25-30% I was thinking 4-5 stars and was real happy with it. The writing style was good too and it had a pretty good flow.
Then It went downhill for me, it was not just the cute baby stuff but that had a big part of it. I also think it started to change POV to much, we started to follow almost everybody and not just the hero and heroine. I think that made it a bit confusing and would have preferred to only get 2 max 3 different POV. It also got overly dramatic at that point and that continued thru the book. It was just from one overly dramatic incident to another, it was too much, so it almost felt like a soap opera from the 1980ies. In future books I think the author should tone it down a little, go more subtle then and not all out there kind of reaction every time, it was too much for me personally.
I do know look for misspells and grammar faults so if there are any I couldn’t tell you, English is not my native language and I am dyslexic. But that seemed to be pretty good, I did not see anything and I usually only pic up big faults.
Overall this book sadly was not for me, it did not suite my personality. It was about stuff I don’t want to read about and it was to dramatic and sugary sweet. I generally like TLC but this was a on the cute side. The dramatics could also be a cultural difference, I am Norwegian and we are pretty low on drama and are more low-key and laidback.
I am sure there are lots of ppl that will love this book, with the TLC and cute baby stuff. I recommend it to sweet TLC lovers, ppl into cute baby stuff who wants a quick feel good read with drama.
Since this is not my thing really I can only give 2,5 stars. They are because the writing is pretty good, the first part of the book was a good read and it is not the author’s fault I don’t want to read about this stuff.

What can I say... I just finished reading this story and had me rendered speechless. It took me a few hours to read it in one sit and what a story.
At first, I thought it would be another childhood best friends that fall in love with each other, struggle because of some misunderstanding, but damn if I wasn't surprise of the depth, characters and storyline that I found. This is one of the few books that got me heart wrenching throughout the pages, but I couldn't stop reading, not even to take a pause to think. I needed more and more until the end.
The author did an amazing job plotting this story and writing it down as it had to. I would certainly recommend it and will be looking forward for more if her books.
Camden and Shane had taken a place in my heart and I'm thankful for having the opportunity to read this story.
