Loved this steamy romance. I liked the tension between them, and how it humbled Aiden being rejected. It was sweet how caring he was and making Lilly feel wanted. I loved the art exhibit idea too and his gestures of love.

Aiden & Lilly

This was a good read, just not quite as good as the first book in the series. Not going to lie, I kind of hated Aiden in the beginning with his unremorseful sleeping around, his arrogance, and that stupid effing smirk I wanted to slap off his face.

I wanted Lilly to turn down that egotistical jerk forever. Of course, then we wouldn’t have had a story I guess. Obviously, he turns it around and we have the HEA we all want.

Started off so well

Gave up at the end of chapter 5. Loved the first book of this series. I'm afraid I do not get on with men who think they are God's gift. Unfortunately met too many at work who were known to be really unpleasant. Arrogant pricks who don't change, even with the women they profess to love. I'm now going to try the 3rd brother.

Fast super steamy billionaire romance. Very cookie cutter Billionaire romance which is just what I wanted. I do think the 1st book in the story was a little more captivating, but overall fast easy smuty read.

Aiden and Lilly come together with a bit of love at first site. He is a womanizer and she a virgin. They come together and have a great time just to have a dumb misunderstanding and break up. His good thinking brings them back together. Enjoyed this book!

This one was a little more fun and believable than the last and that might just be because I liked the trope more. Still a 3 star read but I’m having a silly goofy time. Onto the next!!!

My thoughts: As you can probably tell I am absolutely loving Penelope Ryan’s novellas right now. The moment I finished The Billionaire’s Assistant (see my previous review on this!)I downloaded this novella straight away and it did not disappoint.

The Billionaire’s Obsession focuses on brother, Aiden King, who at first comes across as an arrogant, self-assured pig; the kind of man who is used to having women at his mercy and always being in control. Whereas, Lilly is his complete opposite. She is a grounded, resilient, and quietly strong woman who protects her heart at all costs.

I adored the “he fell first and harder” trope running through this story, and how Lilly refused to give herself to Aiden until she was truly ready to open up, and how he followed her pace.

What I love most about Ryan’s novellas is that yes, we read them for the smut, the praise kinks, and billionaire fantasies but beneath all this she manages to pack vulnerability, emotional growth, and beautifully developed characters into just a few chapters.

The art gallery scene nearly had me in tears, a perfect reminder that money isn’t the answer to everything.

Another King brother completely melted to the core and once again Ryan proves that beneath all the bravado lies a man with a good heart and a genuine soul 🖤
