Date with Destiny

Rate this book
Welcome to Destiny Dunes where the only thing hotter than the Florida sun is the romance between this resort's employees. Each book in this steamy series focuses on your favorite romance tropes. Once you enter the gates of Destiny Dunes, you'll never want to leave!

Down for Her:

From champagne to salt water…

Kylie McBride leaves her two-timing ex-fiancé along with a life of luxury for independence and a little self-respect…well, if you can call a job as pool girl respectful. The resort offers employee residence, which she desperately needs. But a housing screw-up has her thrown together with the hunky but helpful Brett. She just needs to keep the Florida panhandle’s biggest player out of her heart.

Up for Seconds:

He won’t get in her head again…

Tori Jacobs has spent the past year moving on from her intense relationship with Jack Massey, but now he’s trying to win her back. His jealousy ruined them. They’re too different, anyway. He’s a stuffy, number-cruncher from a wealthy family, and she’s a hot mess from a place that would make his family clutch their pearls. But Jack has never failed at anything in his life except for his relationship with her, and he doesn’t intend to lose at that again.

Coming Around:

Two fake dates, one growing connection…

Inventing a fake boyfriend isn’t the smartest thing Bailey’s ever done. But what choice did she have after her relentless family kept hounding her with questions about her single status? When her good buddy Cohen at the resort where she works proposes they help each other out—Bailey comes with him to his high school reunion if he goes with her to her cousin’s wedding—Bailey’s dilemma is solved. The problem is she’s finding herself growing more attracted to her co-worker by the date.

Down For Her
Both of the main characters in this book have complicated lives - Kylie who comes from a rich background but now has to start with little money and earn a living, and Brett with responsibilities that a young person shouldn't have to deal with. And as they navigate having a relationship, there are other members of the staff that we meet along the way and that add to the story. Overall I enjoyed the story but being older, at times there was a bit too much drama for me.

Up For Seconds
After reading the first book in this series, I was curious as to what had happened that tore Jack and Tori apart. It was obvious that Jack was in love with Tori as he hadn't dated anyone else and worked on improving himself - no drinking, eating healthier, and working out. As we learn in this story, Tori hasn't been able to get over Jack either. The two characters come from opposite backgrounds and for a long time, Tori didn't open up to Jack about who she is and her past. But Jack keeps trying and eventually starts to share with him. Loved the ending to the story.

Coming Around
Bailey and Cohen have been friends for quite a while due to working at Destiny Dunes Resort. However, when they spend time together at his reunion and later her cousin's wedding, there is an undeniable attraction between the two. But he's feels guilty because he thinks his cousin Logan is interested in Bailey also. So he ends up being a little hot and cold with her. Bailey is an extrovert so she doesn't blink twice at going to Cohen's class reunion with him and she turns out to have a calming effect on him when dealing with some of his immature classmates. While she wants to be in a relationship, she's surprised by the attraction she ends up feeling for Cohen.

Down for Her

I loved this story and was hooked from beginning to end. Loved the characters and can't wait for the next story. The only thing that prevented me from giving this five stars was that the ending felt a little too abrupt.

Up for Seconds

I was looking forward to reading Jack and Tori's story after hearing so much about it in the first book in this series. The more I learn about Jack the more I like him. The more I learn about Tori the more I can appreciate how and why she is the way she is. Life has not been easy for her at all. Their childhoods are about as different as you can get but they've both had a year to grow and learn what is important in life.

Coming Around

This is a good continuation of this series. I loved how loyal Cohen is to his friends and family and I really liked getting to know Bailey and see her grow into herself.

Absolutely LOVE this series

I am addicted to this series. Every book gets better and better. The characters are becoming more mature and more complex. Each time you open the next story, you are surrounded with old friends. This has become a special group of literary friends that I can always enjoy visiting.

I recieved an ARC copy of this book and voluntarily chose to post a review.
