You & I #1
Book of You & I: When Two Souls Collide
OLIVIA WOODS IS CONVENTIONAL, DOWN-TO-EARTH, AND COMPOSED. She’s the kind of girl who goes out of her way to do the right things for others but forgets about herself.
BRANDON COLLINS IS UNCONVENTIONAL, A CREATIVE SOUL, AND PRONE TO ECCENTRICITY. He values facts over feelings, and his ability to detach from emotions can sometimes make him lonely.
When the universe pushes them together under unfavorable circumstances, like lovers from the past and secret relationships, they try to stay apart. But their feelings are too strong to ignore, and they become swept up in a love like they’ve never felt before...until their true colors start to show.
Even after their first kiss, their first touch, the first time they ever laid eyes on each other; were they destined to meet and fall in love, or was their relationship doomed from the start?
*Inspired by true events.*

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for a honest review.
Oh. My. God. This book had literally EVERYTHING: romance, banter, relationships, friendships, tension, heartbreak, the multi-pov. I devoured this book so quickly! I loved how the author directly puts you into the book, and the writing style also makes it soo easy to read. The quotes at the start of each chapter also added to the experience, as it kind of gives a gist into what to expect from the chapter. Although I expected something completely different to happen at the end, I loved the read soo much. Oh, and make sure to have a tissue box next to you during the last 60 pages I think?
IF THIS BOOK DOESN'T HAVE A SEQUEL ASAP, I'M GOING TO FEEL OFFENDED!
"And I promise, Brandon, I won’t forget you. I won’t forget our story, the book that you and I were meant to write." 🤌✨💞😭
And the fact that this is based on a true story!? That is visible in the amount of emotions this book carries and with the plot and character development. But the Epilogue was very wholesome! I also loved how it was a multi-pov, so we can understand everyone's feelings and thoughts in a deeper level.
And the characters: I loved the relationship between Olivia and Brandon, I loved the witty dialogue between Maia and Scott, I loved the "Promise? Promise. 🤌" moments between Olivia and Brandon, I loved how storng Maia and Olivia's friendship was and I especially loved how all the band members treated each other, WITH SO MUCH LOVE AND CARE! Poor Sam though....
"Let’s call it… book of you and I.”
The author captured all of the emotions so perfectly, I was trying my hardest not to bawl my eyes out towards the end. That plot twist was super unexpected! I really connected to it. Highly, highly recommend and thank you for the ARC G. Severino 💗!

It took me a while to embrace the plot of the book. I thought this was going to be a typical girl meets rocker boy and has her heart broken.
What I didn’t expect was the developing and beautiful love story between Ollie and Brandon.
The author sent me into a story of friendship, a love triangle, love, heartbreak and tears.
The book is well written as are the characters, with a love story that I believe every reader will relate to and even have experienced some part of this book and its characters in their waking life.

I want to start off by thanking the author for trusting me to read and leave an honest review of their story!
I had mixed feelings about this book. There was a lot I loved! There was a lot of drama, tragic events, pain…. I’ve read some sad stories, not many have made me cry but I cried twice at the end of the book! This was a heart breaker of a story!
On the flip side there were times that I struggled to get through and felt there was a bit of information that just didn’t need to be in the story or maybe that it was repetitive that I struggled to get through certain parts.
Overall I really enjoyed the story and am noticing that this may be part of a series so I will be eagerly waiting to see what comes next!

This book was a whole vibe! Picture the beach and NYC, an indie band, alcohol and parties, and young love.
Oh, and grab a tissue.
It's definitely not my typical bookish vibe or scene, but I still enjoyed the book and story! The writing was such that I could play pretend and imagine myself in that world. And that's always a good indicator, right? 😉
I loved all the "promise? Promise." between Ollie and Brandon.
I loved the banter between Maia and Scott! I am all about some banter.
And I loved the friendship between Ollie and Maia -- goals!
My heart breaks for Sam, though!! 😭
Also... this book is inspired by a true story in the author's life!? 👀 I feel that's important to share because knowing there's some truth behind the novel just makes it hit different. 💔
🙊 Frequent cursing
🌶🌶 Multiple kissing scenes, fade to black
Thank you to the author for the early copy of the book! I'm leaving this honest review voluntarily.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a rollercoaster ride that left me needing more. If this doesn't have a sequel, I will be personally offended. I wasn't expecting to become so invested in this story and attached to the characters. This is a story of family and friendship, of love and falling in love, but also of loss, grief, trauma - and the people who stand by you through it all. I laughed, I cried, and my heart broke - yet I was still unprepared for the ending.
Turns out, it's based on a true story. Please don't leave us hanging; we need to know what happens.

First off, I want to thank G Severino for sending me the ebook to review. This was a beautiful book. It was heartbreaking but beautiful… The FMC, Ollie, is so sweet and adorable but I think her friend Maia was my favorite character. There was so much going on in this story but it felt very real. I feel like I’ll be reeling from this one for a while. I hope to see the next one very soon!

Moving love story of Ollie and Brandon. I loved the witty dialogue, the sweetness of first love, the tender friendship between Ollie and Maia, and the closeness between Ollie and her sister. And the music!

I was sent the ebook by the author.
The story is beautifully written in my opinion.
Seeing how Ollie's story "began" & "ended" was a bittersweet experience for me as a reader. I wasn't expecting to cry as much as I did! The last few chapters got me.

Another 5 stars read from G. Severino.
After being blown away by On the Verge, which was all about raw, real-life struggles, I was totally caught off guard by how this new story kicked off. It felt like your classic 'boy meets girl' rom-com where everything’s all sunshine and happy vibes. I was like, “Wait, is this the same author?” But oh boy, was I wrong, big time!
As you keep reading, life throws curveballs at the characters, real life hits, and things get super deep and messy. By the end, I was an emotional wreck—in a good way.
You know that lingering feeling where you're just staring at the book, wishing there was more? That was me. It's the kind of read that sticks with you long after you finish! Totally recommend grabbing this one, you won’t regret it!

Wow this was beautiful, I am not a huge fan of contemporary romance, as sometimes the pace can feel too slow but this author did a stunning job at conveying the emotions of the characters and getting the reader emotionally involved. The friendship between Maia and Olivia, the witty banter between Maia and Scott, the heartbreaking grief that Olivia experienced. Brandon's
POV really got to me as well, with the vulnerability and sadness that we witnessed. This was a beautiful story to read, and it really does bring you to tears. I am so appreciative to have had the opportunity to read it.

Am I allowed to review my own story? Oh, well👀
Book of You & I is a new adult, contemporary fiction set in Ocean City, Maryland.
"It's a love story about two souls, Olivia (a photographer) and Brandon (an indie rockstar), coinciding with each other, but is it fate? Follow their journey, and find out what happens when two souls collide."
This story, while inspired by a real past relationship in my life, is a work of fiction that's deeply close to my heart. These characters are based on real people, with real connections with each other, and I just hope that this story and its characters mean as much to you as they do to me.
I hope you connect with it and that it touches something in you that you may not realize existed. Thank you all for taking a chance on my baby, and I hope you enjoy it.
---
This story explores life and love as well as loss and grief. There are discussions of assault, includes minimal sexual/mature content, and has depictions of alcohol and/or drug use throughout the book. Please read with care♡
