"I am going to make you feel so damn good..."

It's been a while since I read the last book and I actually couldn't remember that much about Griff..but how could I have forgotten this bossy, sexy biker.I think he's one of my favourite bikers and believe me I've got lots of them stored in my mind.
The man is so HOT but also had a vulnerability about him.

Griff has been with the club for years and I loved getting his story of why he first got involved with them and when his secret was revealed would they trust him again??
And,oh my,the man likes to get his kink on and is so dominant in the bedroom...

Sophia has got to be one of my favourite female characters.Beautiful on the outside and the inside, she has such a sweet soul.
She has seen Griff in her street, amongst other things gardening...yes I know,a badass biker gardening.I had a really hot mental image of him shirtless and sweating in the Australian sun ( I'm a bit young for hot flushes but I definitely had a few here !!)

Being a biker book, there's club drama going on,a lot of which is associated with his past.Normally with the club drama I get a bit bored but not here....it worked perfectly with the story.
I loved Griff and Sophia's relationship. They were both so honest with each other and I was totally routing for them.

This is another great book in an excellent MC series.
Highly recommended if you're a fan of sexy Bikers!!

I didn't know much about Griff, the VP in the previous books, so when his past came to light in Illusive, I was surprised by the information. I like the background story that Nina crafted for Griff. I'm totally having a soft spot for him after seeing how he cares for his Aunt Josie and his reluctance to bring up his hidden past for fear of betraying his Storm brothers.

With his aunt's matchmaking efforts, he get to know her new neighbor, Sophia.

Sophia is a straight arrow heroine. What you see is what you got. She tends to blabber and talked in long sentences before she shut up and let you reply. You will either find it endearing or annoying. Griff loves her for it though.

What I like about Sophia is her willingness to pursue her love interest despite having just dumped her asshole boyfriend. I like her naivety in love and believes she can change Griff's perspective in relationship. I don't mind at all that the heroine is making the first move. I'm so happy for Griff that he had someone to fight for him after the fiasco he experienced with his ex-girlfriend.

"You deserve so much more than a man like me."
"From what I know of you, I deserve a man just like you."

There are a lot going on with Storm even after Marcus' departure and we also have Scott's relationship issue. I can't wait to read about Scott and Harlow's book next. What's happening to Harlow?

Let's talk about the sex. I think this is the only book in the series that's borderline kinky. Okay, is kinky lite. A little dose of spanking/tying as foreplay is always welcome for me.

Overall, both Griff and Sophia are lovable characters that embraced honesty and respect towards each other. I thought the subplot on Griff's identity and the possible downfall of his status was engaging as well. I just wish that I can see Sophia being a part of the MC as Griff's old lady. I think her character was too detach from the MC as a whole. Maybe we can get to see more of her in the next book.

"A man could search his whole life looking for a woman like you, Sophia. I know what I've got, and trust me when I tell you this, I'm not letting go."

Another exciting and sexy addition to this wonderful series that I love more and more as it goes on.
Illusive is book #5, and is about the VP of the club. He has some history that is revealed, to us readers that could have some major negative effects on his status in his club. Griff is very concerned that his secrets will come to the light. He has found family and major loyalty within his club and he does not want anything to come between this way of life that he has grown to cherish. This is a guy who is extremely guarded and has his walls up skyscraper high! He doesn't want to let anyone in as he has been burned very badly in his relationships-especially regarding women. As rough, tough and bossy he is; Griff has a very soft side to him...Not many see it though, but it becomes very noticeable with how he is with his Aunt Josie. I have to say that I got a real charge out of her! She was a match-making Aunt, and had decided that her neighbor across the street was who Griff needed to fall in love with! Sure enough, when Sophia and Griff are introduced...sparks fly in a big way. The problem is though that Griff only believes in one night stands; where Sophia wants a relationship. She wants someone to belong too. She has had a past full of abandonment and lack of family; so she craves to have a family and to be loved. Does she think she is worth it? Nope...but she still longs for it.

When these two finally act on their attraction, holy hell there are some very hot scenes! Griff is Mr. Bossy pants in bed, and Sophia finds out how much she likes to submit to him. These two belong together in the bedroom and out! I loved the side of Griff that came out when he was with Sophia...He was so protective and possessive...an alpha male to the extreme; which is what I love!
Sophia cracked me up with her constant babbling, and I have to say that her dialogue reminded me a lot of how KA writes her heroines. For the matter, even Griff reminded me a lot of one of KA's alpha males.

My four star rating is because I found that the change between Griff fighting his feelings for Sophia, to wanting a relationship with her, happened very quickly. It was literally one minute he was fighting and the next he decided she was his and they were going the long haul. Normally I am not too fussy when it comes to that; but it just felt unrealistic within this particular story. Also, there were times that the club business had me a bit bored. I do know that not all readers felt that way though, so that could just be me being me! LOL

Other than that, I still love this series; and I will read anything that comes out in it. For that matter, anything that Nina Levine writes; I will read. I just love her stories, and her characters as well. This is a must read MC series!!! There was no major cliffy at the end either which made me very satisfied.

UPDATE: HIGHLIGHTS
“We’ve all got secrets and demons that take up residence in us. If we never show them to anyone, how will we know who would choose to accept us regardless of them?”

Rule number one is that you can’t change a man. He might come around, but you can’t change who he is at his core. Any change has to come from him. And remember, once a stubborn ass, always a stubborn ass. Same as, once a lying douche, always a lying douche.”

UPDATE: Re-read 2017
-------------
"Let me be who you need."

"Love isn’t grand gestures and fancy declarations; it’s getting your hands dirty, and being there, and opening yourself up for the people you love…and letting them give all of that back to you. It’s about being honest and handling their hearts with the amount of care you want yours handled with.”

"How many times do you let someone trash your trust and abuse the love you’ve given them before you say enough is enough?"

"A mother should be there to catch her child when she falls, not be the one who causes them to fall.”

"The trick is to find your tribe where you don’t have to work to fit in, but where you effortlessly slide right in. And to find your person – that one person who just gets you and doesn’t try to change you; that one person who only needs to take a glance at you to know if there’s something wrong; that one person who would drop everything to be there for you when you need them…you’re my person, Griff, and I’d do anything for you.”

Move over Storm MC we have a new BBF

Griff wow!

When any one tells me they haven't read an MC read yet and what do I recommend I can without pause always recommend Nina Levine.

What do you get? you get a good plot,an alpha male, a bit of angst, drama and heat in the bedroom, yep an all rounder.

Loved Griff, yes he's bad ass what MC member isn't but he's also the kind of guy who will fix your taps do your lawn and your shopping, phew and isn't the minds eye a wonderful thing as Nina has the ability in her writing to give you a good eye full.

Griff can do my gardening any day

Loved the plot starting off with Griffs involvement in club business you are given a good idea of whats going on in the daily life of Griff and how things progress.

Sophia well shes a say what you see kind of girl and likable, I liked her story, she rambles on when shes nervous but a strong character and a good match for Griff.

loved the lol moments and the heat fan your self down kind of stuff making this a step up from previous books with Griffs Alpha bossy ways in the bedroom and tie you up in more ways than one kinky ways. .

Another great read from the Storm series

WARNING!!! May contain spoilers..but awesome spoilers ;)

Ugh I wanted to not like Griff. After everything with taking Scott's position and looking like he was team dick face Marcus....but of course he was a broken sexy man you just wanted to mend and hold and do other things with ;) and now I can't hate him! Damn it! I knew something was up with him tho. When Scott found out his secret and thought that Griff betrayed him for real, I couldn't after that. I got it. Even tho his initial intentions weren't to be part of the club in the long run, Storm was, is his family. That moment was it for me. Griff, you damaged, beautiful man...

“Griff, I accept you for who you are and always will. You never need to change yourself for me. I’m still getting to know stuff about you, but I know who you are at your core –you’ve already shown me that. I’ve spent my entire life trying to fit in, and make people like me, and the thing I’ve learnt is that it never works. The trick is to find your tribe where you don’t have to work to fit in, but where you effortlessly slide right in. And to find your person –that one person who just gets you and doesn’t try to change you; that one person who only needs to take a glance at you to know if there’s something wrong; that one person who would drop everything to be there for you when you need them…you’re my person, Griff, and I’d do anything for you.” *tear*

Sophia is sweet and funny. She's one of those woman who word vomit all the time and you're holding your hand to your forehead like "you can stop talking now omg!" but I love it. She's just too adorable! Her life hasn't been easy but what an attitude she has about life. I'm proud of her. She's strong, determined, and doesn't let Griffs thoughts about women deter her from getting her man. She didn't give up and that's exactly what he needed. What they both needed actually. I couldn't imagine not feeling wanted or loved by my family or losing the only family who ever made me feel that way. They opened each other up and gained so much....

“I’ve seen a little piece of your violent side, but I’ve seen far more of your caring side, too, and let me tell you, the care and kindness you’ve shown me so far is more than anyone in my life has ever shown me. You might have a gruff way of expressing yourself, and it’s clear you hold yourself back from most people, but none of that means you’re incapable of giving love. You have love to give…I mean, look at the way you love Josie. Love isn’t grand gestures and fancy declarations; it’s getting your hands dirty, and being there, and opening yourself up for the people you love…and letting them give all of that back to you. It’s about being honest and handling their hearts with the amount of care you want yours handled with.” I pressed my finger into his chest. “And you do all of that. I hardly know you, but even I can see that you do all of that and more.” *Awwww*

This story touched me. By the end, I was clutching my chest wanting to cry. Some of the best lines I've read are in this book. As you can see, I've added some of my favs to this review. I went crazy with the highlighting xD. God, I don't know what else to even say so I'll just let you experience the feels of this book for yourself. Seriously, ONE CLICK this book. Nina, you fucking rocked it girl!

"Griff had shown me that some of the beliefs we have about ourselves are illusive, and that we need to leave the pain and hurt behind, and step into our new skin. The past is part of us, part of our story, but it doesn’t have to be who we are today, and it doesn’t mean our story won’t get better. Together, Griff and I would write a new story –a better story." *sigh*

Come on October! I need Scott and Harlow but not ready to let go of Storm just yet....but I can't wait for Command!

Favorite Quotes:

“I had to concentrate hard to keep my eyes on the road. This man and that body could singlehandedly cause traffic to halt.”

“There’s only so much sexy a woman can handle, Griff, and I’m almost at my limit, because let me tell you, just standing next to you is hard work sometimes, so you can only imagine how hard it is to have flirting from your sexy mouth thrown in to the mix.”

“Hate is a double-edged sword, baby. Sometimes it’s all you’ve go and all you’re capable of feeling. Sometimes it gets you through when nothing else can.”

“If this was heaven, I’d be a good girl for the rest of my life.”

“The past is part of us, part of our story, but it doesn’t have to be who we are today, and it doesn’t mean our story won’t get better.”

My Review:

I have a new BBF and his name is Griff, swoon. I am enamored with this sexy and passionate couple in Nina Levine’s latest in the Storm MC series. I love her quirky characters and Sophia is now my all-time favorite sassy gal. I love how she banters with Griff and rambles out her concerns and thoughts in a manner that just strips that distant and distrustful alpha male bare. She disarms him with her honesty and vulnerability, and plants her flag in his heart without game playing or feminine wiles, and his hardened walls collapse. I loved that their story is not the constant push and pull of conflict with or against their relationship; but in supporting, building up, nurturing, accepting, and adoring each other. I always enjoy Ms. Levine’s use of a dual POV narrative, and she expertly builds the story as she weaves us through their memories, fears, dreams, and present concerns in an insightful, and skillful manner. I would never tire of this pair and hope to see more of them in the future.

Our long awaited Illusive is in our hands. That was a ride with Storm. Once again Nina did it. The story just flew. Chapter after chapter it gets more and more interesting and catchy. Though I'm happy that Griff found his peace in worthy hands of beautiful girl, I'm sad, too. Because I need so much more of Griff. And all Storm guys.

Finally, and I mean finally! I know more about Griff. He was such a 'hush hush' guy. It seemed he was more happy to be in the background then on the front. But that didn't hide the fact, that he has a lot to share with us. That there more to the man, then he allowed us to see.

And I was right. I found what demons is haunting him. What makes him tick. From the beginning I don't liked it. I don't liked that, though he felt that Storm was his family, his home, Griff don't really let them 'in' completely. He held himself back. And that hurt me so much. Because he deserved to feel happy, to feel loved, to feel accepted. And Griff don't saw himself worth of it. I so wanted to hug him and sooth his ravaged soul. To finally find the peace he so needed. It really broke my heart how much Griff isolated himself from the life. From things that made 'us' happy and alive.

And yes, I can understand why Griff lived like that. I know sometimes life brings you to your knees. And then kicks you a couple times, while you're down. And it's hurts you a lot. Makes you question yourself. 'Why bother to fight? To live?' But that's a live. Sometimes such a bitch ithe may be. But without those shatters in your life, you don't know, or understand, or cherish those beautiful things that makes so worth the hardships. Things you're truly living your life for. I so waited when Griff would open up and let those precious moments in his life.

And that moment happens, when Sophia enters his life. And though it takes time for Griff to open up. But slowly he bares his soul to her. He let her see his deepest pieces of him. A pieces, he never believed could be accepted by anyone. And especially by her.

And talking about Sophia...That woman is a special one. I really can't express, how much you gonna love her as I do. I love her because of who she is in person. But the most I love Sophia because the way she was with Griff. She fought for him. She accepted him and all his faults. And I don't say that Griff has them. He don't. As far as I'm concerned, he’s perfect. But I mentioned it, because is the way he saw himself. And when he bared himself completely to Sophia and she accepted it, accepted him...It mean every-fucking-thing for him. And in results it mean every-fucking-thing to me. Because I have to confess. All this time Scott was my Storm boy. But after reading Illusive, I'm pretty sure Griff pushed him of the throne.

And talking about the club...Well, a lot of shit happens. Which will make you worried. A lot. And when you think that Storm can have some rest in their life after the thunderstorm of the past year... Another enemy rolls into the town with the plans to take it over. It's seem the guys will have to had each others back more than ever. And I can't wait to 'see' what the storm will bring this time.

Griff's story has two plot lines that center around his past catching up with his present, both in ways that will definitely change his position in Storm as well as his need to keep women at a distance, not allowing any attachment on his or their part.

Club business and past misdeeds are to blame for the trouble brewing in Storm and a certain honest and sexy woman is responsible for Griff reconsidering getting in deep with another woman again, but Griff's got his work cut out for him in order to fix his mess with Storm, and with Sophia, he's going to have to realize that not every girl is like his lying ex.

The Storm MC is at a bit of an impasse - the club’s loyalty is split; Scott and Griff are fighting like hell to bring Storm back to a united band of brothers, but that’s easier said than done when not everyone agrees with Scott or Griff’s position in the club. Adding to that is Griff’s reasons for becoming a member of Storm and the revelations that can not only put Griff’s membership in question but it could also mean adding to the shit that’s already going down around the club.

Sophia is my kind of heroine. Her life has not been easy, but she tries to put her past behind her and focus on what she wants and deserves in the present. She’s a rambler who gives nothing but pure honesty in every encounter. What you see is what you get with Sophia, which is exactly the kind of girl Griff needs in his life.

Sophia and Griff don’t hit it off right away because Griff doesn’t see her as being someone who can deal with the no strings approach that he has down to a science, but soon, Sophia’s turning the tables on him and he finds that her lightness might be exactly what his darkness needs.

Nina Levine definitely brings the feels in the newest installment of her Storm MC series. Readers feel Sophia and Griff’s heartache over their pasts as well as their tension and frustration when they have to deal with people/situations from their past invading their present.

Levine does a great job of moving Storm MC’s issues forward and what Scott and his brothers are doing to make that happen. A lot goes down with the club in Illusive as well as with Griff’s personal life, and the two story lines work well together, giving Griff something to fight for outside of the club and realizing that the past doesn’t have to be the only part of your story.

There’s mention in the text about what Harlow and Scott are dealing with, and since the 6th book in the series, Command, finishes their story. I’ll anxiously be waiting to see how everything works out between them and what new situations the club will find themselves in with chaos coming in from all different directions.

Griff...oh man this biker is so sexy! He has a hidden good side that very few people ever really see. However, he has a truly dark side as well, and a secret that could end his life as he knows it. Death never really bothered Griff until he met Sophia! After she sneaks underneath his armor, He does not want to lose the only light he has left.

Sophia...I have so much to say about Sophia but will keep it to a min so as not to give away too much. Sophia is such a strong and honest woman. She is the only person that could get Griff out of his head during such a rough time. Her honesty is his light. Sophia is truly a Storm woman. She has every characteristic that is needed to be with a Storm man. However, she does carry pain underneath her shell. That hidden pain is what allows her to see through Griff into who he really is.

These two together are the perfect combination of alpha and submissive. They mold together so well in every aspect that you can't help but to fall in love with them both. Griff and Sophia have become my favorite Storm couple to date!

Way to hit it out of the park yet again Nina!!!!

I loved Sophia she was spunky, and when something got her riled up everyone needed to take cover, “I can buy my own damn gloves, Griff. Screw needing a man in my life to do ***t for me, because that clearly isn’t working out for me.” My eyes dropped to his chest before shifting back to his face. Gesturing at his body, I said, “And for the love of God, would you please put some clothes on? When the hell did it become alright for men to answer doors dressed in towels?” Griff is a hands on type of man, "his hand landed on my a** and he dragged my body up against his. “Just so you’re aware, making me wait to have you is a form of effing torture,” he growled into my ear" Griff sometimes has to state the obvious to his woman, because his woman at times just doesn't get it, “a man is hardly gonna leave his woman when she’s naked in the shower with him.” I'm hoping Sofia's sister gets a book in the future she was a lovable character just as much as Griff and Sophia. I did wonder why Griff didn't take Sophia around the clubhouse and introduce her to the guys and their ladies, I found that odd but other than that I loved the book.

A is for Alpha B is for Books

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

OMG i Flove Nina Levine!!! Every hero she writes i fall in love with. This is probably my all time favorite MC series and i get a little nervous every time a new book in the series is released in case it doesn't live up to the rest... but i need never worry it always tops and surpasses the last!

This is Griff and Sophia's story. We have met Griff in the rest of the series but he was always one of those characters you're not really sure of. Do you like him? Do you not? Is he a bad guy or a good guy? I think he's been a question on everyone's lips from the start. Well the questions are answered here.

This story picks up where Sassy Christmas leaves off. Griff didn't go to the party at J and Maddison's for personal reasons and is in a pretty bad place until he runs into Sophia. He can't seem to get her out of his head even at the worst time of year for him. I loved Sophia from the start she just spurts out whatever is on her mind whether she want's to or not and i love that honesty about her, she can't help herself. They're an unlikely couple but a match made in heaven. She's mostly a glass half full girl, always trying to look on the bright side and being positive for others. Griff is pretty dark and ruthless but has traces of the man he used to be still there hidden underneath. Sophia and his aunt are the only two people to ever bring out his true self. Griff fights any kind of relationship and Sophia want's a steady man to build a family with. All wrong for each other but all right too.

The story kept me gripped from start to finish, there is quite a bit of club story in here which i really liked as Storm has been struggling since Marcus their former prez was killed. Griff is tied in with all this and with his revelation in this book his place at Storm is in jeopardy. So is the club. He has to prove his loyalty and there is action aplenty as rival gangs and Griff's past catch up with the club. I also loved seeing Kick and King in here and finding out what they're up to. Also a sneak peek of some new characters to come.

The love between Sophia and Griff is smoking hot!! they just can't keep their hands or anything else off each other!! unless one is tied up! lol but also it's so sweet and brutally honest. There's no tooing and froing they both get out what troubles them and sort it out with no misunderstanding and i think that's what makes these two pretty special. The love scenes are off the charts!! seriously!! Pant wetting, several change of undies, i want my own Griff, off the charts. Official new Book BF right here!

I won't give spoilers or snippets because i want you to read it. I want everyone to read it. In my opinion this is the best MC series ever.

Highly recommend this book to anyone.

5 stars!!

As readers there is always one book that we have been highly anticipating and Illusive was that book for me .I've loved Griff from the start and with each book I found my self becoming more intrigued with Griff I needed to know what his story was and how he became a member of storm and what had happened in his life to shape him into the man he is today. And my God Nina delivered it with a bang. Griff and Sophia's story completely shattered me and then put me back together in the best possible way. Sometimes when we read books we find we can relate to certain aspects of a characters story and this has been the book that truly hit so close to home for me that it was like I was 're living my past and the emotions I felt when I went trough it. Griff is a man is a man of few words but when he does speak you really need to sit up and pay attention because what he has to say is always of great importance. Griff has so many hidden depths and you will finally get to see them in this book. He is loyal Strong Dark intense guarded Dominating kinky sexy as sin and so swoon worthy. He has always kept a wall up around him never really allowing anyone in. That's until he meets Sophia. Sophia is loyal sassy I love the fact that when she is nervous or has something she needs to get off her chest she has absolutely no filter to what comes out of her mouth. yet she is vulnerable to a certain degree but still at the same time she is one of the strongest female leads Nina has wrote to date in my personal opinion. she has been trough so much in her life hasn't given up on finding love. But she has one rule and rule only she doesn't do 1 night stands that's until she meets Griff and sees the real man he tries to keep hidden. Griff has become a master at his flawless public facade that masks his private dispair. That is until his past threatens to raise its ugly head and destroy his future. A future he has only realized means the world to him. Here are a few of my favorite quotes : Baby you've already led me. I'm burning in the flames of hell because of the sins I want to commit with you.
We've all got secrets and demons that take up residence in us . if we never show them to anyone how will we know who would choose to accept us regardless.
Love isn't about grand gestures and fancy declaration it's getting your hands dirty and been there and opening yourself up for the people you love....And letting them give all of that Back to you.
You might have a gruff way of expressing yourself and it's clear you hold your self back but none of that means your incapable of love.
This book is definitely my favourite read of the year Nina has yet again delivered a phenomenal story that everyone needs to read if I could give this book 10+stars I would.

I'm going to start by saying I loved this book and it's up there as being one of my favourites from the series so far.

Illusive brings us Griff's story and to be honest he was always on the back burner for me but not now. Who knew he would be such the dominant guy with an unbelievably soft centre. His interaction with his aunt - sigh -.

And oh my, Sophia, what a girl. She absolutely stole the show for me: she was strong, soft, adorable and the rambling just made me a smile every time. Nina drew me in to her so much, that there were times I just wanted to dive into the pages and wrap her up in a big hug. Sophia is hands down possibly my favourite of all the Storm women.

I have to say that together, Griff and Sophia were smoking. I loved the gradual build up between them. There were no games and were unbelievably honest with each other from the get go. Some of their scenes together were just so beautiful.

As much as I would have liked to see the interaction of Sophia with the others in the MC, at the same time, it felt that this was right for Griff and Sophia. Griff has always had that secretative edge to him and it would only be apt that he still kept a part of him for himself (not that I still wouldn't love to see Sophia together with the other Storm ladies)

What I particularly liked about Illusive was that it was far grittier than the previous books in the series and was full of MC action. Of course we are sadly nearing the end of this series and Nina has amped up the MC side of things and for me I felt that it gave the story that wicked edge that keeps us as readers on the edge of our seat anxiously anticipating what's in store next for Storm MC.

Now I'm just going to sit back and anxiously wait the arrival of Command.

This is a series and I would highly recommend reading this book in order.

I just finished Illusive and I really enjoyed it! This is apart of the Storm MC series, which could be read as a stand alone but to get the full effect of all the characters and what they have been through I would recommend reading them in order. This is Griff's story. Griff is now the VP and Scott is now President. Things had to happen for it to come to this but in my opinion and most of the brothers, this is a well deserved position. Some in the club do not agree with the changes that were made so Scott, Griff and the other boys are dealing with the aftermath. Then you have Sophia, a sweet loving girl that just wants someone to love her while Griff who doesn't do relationships has to deal with his feelings on this too.

I love biker books, like sooooo love them. I have follow Nina since she started the series and love where she is taking it. I thought the story had a good story line to it, good characters that brought alot of depth and vulnerability to make them real to me. My only complaint is that I thought that there would be some interaction with Griff and Sophia with the boys of Storm. Yes, I know that this story is really dealing with two things but thought that it would come together on both accounts. Did it take away for the story for me? No, but would have loved to see that interactions between them all, would have brought more to it for me. Other than that, it was a hot story, love where it is going and cant wait for more!

Ah Griff. The Storm MC brother we knew the least about. Throughout the series so far, Griff was always the quiet brother. The one never saying anything, but always watching, taking it all in. The guy you call when you need someone dealing with, and this being a motorcycle club I'm sure you can imagine what that means.

In Illusive we get to find out why he is that way, why he keeps himself to himself, loving his brothers but also keeping them at a distance, being one of them, but not at the same time. His story was actually quite heartbreaking when you got the full picture. And the man... well, let's just say I've always called myself a Scott girl. Now I'm not so sure if he's been bumped for Griff. Strong, caring, thoughtful, sexy as hell with a big heart just waiting to find someone to help him show it.

And the sexy times...HOT!

Sophia was a perfect match for him. She was really likeable and funny and a perfect fit to join the Storm girls. I can't wait to see how they all interact together. I also liked the element of adding a teenage sister to the story; Magan was a nice little secondary character.

But of course, this is the MC world, so story wise, a lot of drama in this book and now something's brewing for the Brisbane chapter of Storm MC. Illusive nicely set up the background, of what will no doubt be a thrilling conclusion to the Storm MC series, when book #7 ~ Command ~ drops in October.

I for one, can not wait!

I don’t know how she does it!!! Every time I hear about a new book by Nina Levine I’m sure there is no way she can make me love these new characters more than the last. And each time I am wrong!!! There are so many things about Griff & Sophia that I love. So much I would love to tell you. But that is not how I write my reviews. But I will say she hates steps!!! Anything that requires specific steps she is not a fan of.

What I will say is that Griff has a lot of secrets. Those secrets haunt him, especially at Christmas time. He holds himself aloof, even from those he is closest to. But then he meets Sophia. And, even though he tries to keep to hold on to his aloofness, he finds himself opening up to her.

Sophia Barnes has had a very tough life. The thing she wants most, she has a hard time believing she deserves. Unconditional love. When she meets Griff she realizes that for this man she is willing to break all her rules. Can Griff be the man she needs him to be?

There were just so many things about this book I love. But most of all, I think I loved the way Sophia accepted all the parts of Griff!!!! Nina Levine, I just don’t know how you will top this book, but then I have said that before & each time you do. SO I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!

5 Emotionally Charged Stars

Just finished this much anticipated book in this series and as usual Nina Levine style, she has knocked it out of the park:) I LOVE this author, I LOVE this series and most of all have come to LOVE ALL of these Storm characters!!!!!

Griff and Sophia were both broken and yet oh so beautiful characters. Their relationship was a great slow burn for me and I can't wait to see more of them along with all of the others in the future!!!! I loved their emotional as well as sexual, wink, wink, relationship and I loved that their love story was intermingled with the Storm business as well. This series is just like watching a TV series but instead of playing out weekly for me to see, it's played out in my mind at a beautiful pace!!!!

Congrats yet again, Nina Levine, for another masterpiece beautifully and poignantly written!!!!!! Can't wait for more and more and more, etc.... well you get the message, lol!!!!!!!

ILLUSIVE by Nina Levine

After processing all the emotions Griff's story brought forth, #Regrouping myself if you will, I'm attempting to put it all into a semblance of a review. I knew his story was gonna hit me hard cause that's my man Griff, and I've been anxiously and not so patiently waiting for his story, but to actually be able to relate with him and his story is truly amazing. There have been so many amazing books that have touched me and that I've been able to relate to, however there are those of rare quality that touch you so profoundly that the story is a special experience on its own. Like reliving those moments, those demons as if they were your own and conquering, and overcoming them right along with the characters. That's what this book was like for me.

I have been a Griff fan from the very beginning. This dark, brooding, mysterious hunk of a man has always been my everything. He's loyal to his very bones (which I never once questioned), but we knew very little about him. Haunted by ghosts and betrayal from the past, caused Griff to guard his heart and keep people at arms length. (Except his club, but who could blame him). With each passing book of the series, you uncovered more and more of his characteristics and traits that furthermore intrigued you. But with his book you finally uncover the mystery that is Griff, slowly I might add. And you just fall in love with this beautifully damaged soul, that is Griff.

"I watched him sitting in his pain, and my heart hurt for whatever he'd gone through. I wanted to slap the woman who'd done that to him, because she's taken a man who was open to love, and made him close his heart to all the possibilities of everything love had to offer."

Now, Sophia is the total opposite of Griff. Feeling unloved and unwanted all of her life, Sophia still yearns for love and is ready to embrace it with open arms and an open heart. She's a not a one night-stand type of chick but with the sexy as sin stranger mowing her neighbors lawn, she just might make an exception. Only Griff knows Sophia is not that kind of girl, and I think deep down he knows she's the one that might break those walls he's worked so hard to build. He also feels unworthy of someone as good and pure as Sophia.

"His hand cupped my cheek, and when he spoke, his voice was raged. "How the fuck was I given you? Out of all the men available, you were led to me...you could do much better Sophia, and yet I can't bring myself to give you up. I never wanted another woman after Charlene burnt me, but hell, I want you more than I want my next breath." I leaned closer to him. "You seriously underestimate yourself, handsome. And for the record, I don't want you to give me up just get that thought out of your mind if it ever enters."

As these two fight their attraction which was a loosing battle from the very beginning, Griff and Storm struggle with the division within the club, as well as the new threats coming at them from all angles.

From Sophia and Griff's growing relationship to revisiting some of our Storm men, so many intense moments and let's not forget Griff's deliciously, kinky dominant nature, you are bound to be left with some pretty damp panties. Griff is the guy that had caught my eye from the get go and I'm more than happy with his story. To have been able to connect with both characters made me love this story even more. Please don't hesitate to ONE CLICK PRONTO!!! I had already claimed Griff, but now I'm also claiming Sophia!! Hands down, without a doubt Illusive is my favorite!!

"Griff had shown me that some of the beliefs we have about ourselves are illusive, and that we need to leave the pain and hurt behind, and step into our new skin. The past is part of us, part of our story, but it doesn’t have to be who we are today, and it doesn’t mean our story won’t get better. Together, Griff and I would write a new story ~ a better story."

WOW!!
I'm going to start by saying that Nina this book took me on such an emotional roller coaster ride I had to read this in one sitting, couldn't put it down and was actually holding my breath at some parts.
Brilliant!

In ILLUSIVE we get to finally dig into Griff's story and boy what a story it is.
We really don't know anything about the quiet biker who has always piqued my interest, I really fell hard for Griff (shhhh don't tell Nash) ;) Griff is holding in so many demons from his past my heart actually breaks for him, being the VP in the Storm MC we see the hard tough side of him that gets things done anyway need be. He's hiding a very crucial part of his past which is creeping up to him and threatening his role in the MC. I'm not getting into what this is because I refuse to give away any part of this story you all need to feel and take this ride you will not be disappointed.

In comes Sophia what can I say I absolutely loved her I can relate to her in so many ways especially with her famous Rambling she is sweet but strong always seeing the best in everyone never judging and this to me was so well written especially from the life that she was forced into she never let it get her down just kept her head high and succeeded .
Now we have Aunt Josie: let me just say I want her as my aunt but she is busy planning and scheming how she can get her brooding nephew Griff to open his heart, (which has been burnt by the way ) to give in and pursue her feisty very talkative neighbor Sophia.

Watching Griff and Sophia skirt around their attraction for each other was at times comical and then Hot I've never met two people that belonged together more than these two they made two halves a definite whole. The chemistry and sex between these two was off the charts, scorching and you will need a fan blowing on you for sure.

Ok I'll stop rambling and regroup " see I told you Sophia and I are alike " grab your copy of this book and prepare to not stop till you read the last word.
This is a story of love lost, hurt and learning how to heal and love again.

I highly recommend this book and the rest of this series which i suggest you read in order.
Another great installment from The Storm MC.

Nina Levine never fails to deliver!!

This story has been highly anticipated by all of Nina's many fans. We've been waiting for Griff's story for ages!! I swear this lady knows how to write her bikers!!

Griff has been portrayed throughout the Storm MC series as the very strong yet silent type, bordering on scary. All the women of Storm at first were put off but then came to love him. He's done things for the club that took sheer balls to pull off and he's had to mend the rifts his actions have caused. Currently Griff is the VP of Storm and takes no bullshit. But his past is complicated and it's come knocking in a way he didn't expect.

Just when shit is about to hit the fan he get captivated by a pair of long legs in denim shorts. Sophia has been damaged by the demons of her past and doesn't do one night stands. She doesn't take bullshit and has standards- all the Storm women do!! (I love every Storm lady!) So when she sees Griff and all he represents mowing his Aunt's lawn week after week, she knows there is more than meets the eye. Just because she knows that doesn't mean she's about to lose herself over Griff. When she does start that slippery slide into love, sparks fly between these two!

These two have the most steadily developed relationship of all the Storm couples. It's helped along in places by Griff's aunt Josie, she's the perfect meddling old lady, and surprisingly the Storm MC drama doesn't play a huge factor in Griff and Sophias relationship. They just naturally come together and have the most solid relationship at the end of the book I've seen. I absolutely loved how they came together and burnt up the pages while doing it!!!

The drama with Storm is huge and Griff's past put a huge dent in the loyalty of the members. His secrets surely threw me for a hell of a loop!!! I would never have expected it in a million years!

This story was amazing and I am waiting on pins and needles for the next Storm book! Nina is a rock star and there is no way I'm every missing a story of hers!

4.5 Star Review

When typing reviews, I try not to divulge into too much detail as I feel it is necessary for readers so start a book having no expectations or pre-conceived notions so as much as I wanna gush on about Illusive, I can't do it, this is one you really have to experience yourself.

Griff - well I never thought my loyalty to Blade could be questioned but once I finished Illusive, I was having some serious doubts about where my love loyalties lies? Blade of Griff, hot, bossy, sexy Griff. Hot Damn, some of those scenes between him and Sophia were HOT! Yet his vulnerability of this past was so good to see. Especially when it came to this family history and his current family situation with the MC.

Sophia - she kicked ass, she was just a refreshing character to read about. Always keeping an happy deposition despite the painful childhood she had. As much as I loved her character and her and Griff's relationship, I wish we could of saw Sophia interact with the other Storm girls, I know we will probably see this in the next book but I would of loved to see how she was in a MC environment, especially as she was so cool about Griff "working" for the club.

All in all another brilliant book by Ms Levine. Congratulations :)

5 star

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Storm (Storm MC, #1)
Fierce (Storm MC, #2)
Blaze (Storm MC, #2.5)
Revive (Storm MC, #3)
Slay (Storm MC, #4)
Sassy Christmas (Storm MC #4.5)

This is Sophia and Griff’s story. Griff is helping to the club investigate who is out to bring Storm down. He meets Sophia and he knows he can’t have her. She is not like the woman he is used to. She’s not a one-night stand woman and he is not a long term guy. Sophia knows all about pain. Her past if full of pain. She can see the pain in Griff but he continues to run hot and cold with her. Griff has secrets in his past he would prefer never come to light. He will do anything to protect those secrets. But secrets have a way of coming out. Will Griff recover from the backlash of those secrets? Will the past come back to take everything Griff holds close?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

I really cannot put in to words how I feel about this book. I absolutely love the storm boys and their women and Scott and J have always been by joint number one boys but OMG Griff has just blown them out the water!!

He's such a deep man with so many layers but once Sophia managed to slowly peel those layers away his true sexiness is revealed

Sophia is a reflection of about 90% of the female population with the usual insecurities and she is awesome!

I love all of Nina's books but for me this is the best yet. Brilliant
